Im an extremely nervous person when it comes to dentists, having been butchered in my childhood and two bad experiences later in life. This resulted in me now needing a fair bit of work doing. Nial is very calm, explaining everything he is doing and what's planned going forward. I feel totally relaxed now while sitting in the chair. Just wish I couldn't hear the drill though

Fantastic experience: I feel extremely lucky to have access to such an amazing NHS dentist. I've been with the practice nearly 10 years, and have never been disappointed with the service. The reception team are absolutely amazing, really friendly, polite and always smiling, which must be hard to do at all times when working with the public! Whenever you go/call they do all they can to help. Even had emergency treatment sorted extremely efficiently. Cannot fault at all!

Negative experience: Very poor Arrived on time ; called in for 3 fillings The chair wasn’t working, so after trying to fix it for a few minutes was moved to another room. carried out the first filling and was then told I was out of time ? I was out of time ? and would need to make another appointment. What about my time ; bearing in mind I had paid up front; so you have had my money all this time ? In your emails you are quite curt in warning me that I would lose my appointment in future if I didn’t turn up This is all one way in my opinion Very unprofessional Robin Westwood

Negative experience: Bad experience, been fixing the same 3 numbers of teeth's after 5 different appointment as the dentist still insist I must extract my left premolar so he can add it to his trophy box and also he says filling the premolar with Amalgam is a waste of resources (How racist) & the other 2 he keeps experimenting on them no solution ‍♂️, This dental clinic is good but the dentist is an Apprentice not a pro So Sad

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Abbey Dental since 2013, in this time, on every occasion that I’ve had an appointment, the whole team have been welcoming, courteous and professional in everything that they do. I was there again yesterday for a hygienist appointment, the treatment was thoroughly explained and I was given advice and instructions to follow up and compliment the treatment. This appointment was a postponement from the previous week, when for other reasons of my own, I couldn’t have the treatment, I’d been waiting for this appointment for a considerable time, I never thought that I’d manage to get the appointment rescheduled within 7 days. Thank you Abbey Dental, I’m most grateful for the utterly fantastic service. MDS.

Fantastic experience: After a prolonged period of trying to improve the health of a troublesome tooth that had a filling over 40 years ago. I recently needed to request that my dentist Ogugua Ezeofor extract this tooth as an emergency as the pain I was suffering from this tooth had become unbearable. Ogugua agreed with my request and despite anxiety that I was likely to suffer further discomfort after the tooth had been removed I barely felt any discomfort as the tooth was removed and I have not needed to take any pain relief following the extraction. Thankyou Ogugua for your expertise, care and advice that has ensured that my gum has now fully recovered and I am now no longer suffering issues or discomfort.

Fantastic experience: everything went smoothly! While not all practices go this far, Abbey Dental seems to have gone out of their way to help, with the emergency case of my daughter. The dentist treated my daughter quickly. It’s rare to encounter such a combination of professionalism and kindness.
