Fantastic experience: This is my 2nd positive review, as after nearly a year of treatments for myself, husband and daughter, we cannot fault them. Some of the treatments required several visits, and our dentist, Dr Raheel Shafique, is fantastic: caring and gentle, he clearly wants the best outcome for his patients and goes the extra mile. The reception staff are always so helpful and kind.

Positive experience: I was a little disappointed today, not because of the staff, as usual, very friendly and polite, but because of broken equipment and the cupboards looking so awfull with what looks like tape residue . I was reminded before my app twice that the price went up, so where is it used if not to keep equipment serviced and to keep the rooms presentable

Fantastic experience: I haven't seen a good dentist in 30 years. After feeling tooth ache in several of my teeth I decided to visit gentle dental, they were excellent and extremely professional. they took care of me and explained everything and the entire visit was relatively pain free. I recommend if you are thinking of going to a dentist you should try this one.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Charlotte, Dr, Charlotte, Dr.Charlotte is all I need to say, she was amazing, she was super comforting from the jump and did not feed me any rubbish. Considering I am a teacher I can see through nonsense pretty well but she gave me all the honest advice she could as well as acting swiftly compared to the other places I tried. I am new to the area so to be treated as well as she did made all the difference for me. Ask for her every time you can if you decide to go down there (I am sure the other dentists must be great too aha). I have had a molar that needs removing and have been in agony on serious painkillers but she seemed to be the only dentist who acted as I needed.

Positive experience: Giving a 3 star only cause the hygienist I had this time wasn’t very thorough with the clean up as my previous (I had changed from the previous cause she was moving the electric tool around my mouth a bit too roughly, probably might not have realised cause I didn’t point it out immediately, so it kept hitting my teeth) ; although very nice, this hygienist, could have gone deeper into my gums between each tooth in my opinion, but she didn’t as much as the other hygienist, so I left feeling like my gums weren’t cleaned enough, not much difference from how I turned up and when I flossed this morning I was bleeding (this has NEVER happened to me after a clean up if anything the opposite), which proves my point that a thorough clean wasn’t performed; I feel like we would have noticed if she passed a floss through my teeth at the end of the session but she didn’t (which is another thing that was done differently from the previous hygienist) hopefully this won’t be seen as too harsh and hopefully they relay feedback professionally to their hygienists - I will try my previous hygienist again and this time tell her about her handling of the tool cause besides that she’s great! But for what I paid, 75 pounds, it felt like it wasn’t worth it, which is a shame, cause at least the kindness and politeness was shown, but this also HAS to be paired with an effective cleaning.

Negative experience: Business gone badly downhill since Sid Persaud retired, uncaring money grabbing now, 4 days since I had painful prods behind the teeth and 4 days later I still have a toothache, wanted to give and charge for 2 wrays that were not required, never returning to the Wickham branch again. Much rather get the appointment with the young Idian girl at the Hayling Park branch. Horrible attitude, money money money.

I can honestly say I felt totally relaxed , I didn't feel a thing not even the initial anesthetic. The receptionists are so pleasant and helpful which is so refreshing. Being a very nervous dental patient from youth and my trusted dentist of 45+ years retired, I was worried where to find a new dentist. Gentle Dental being walking distance, I braved opening their door, what a good decision! The friendly warmth I got from the charming receptionists gave me my first ease, followed by my so thorough check up with Mehreen, I actually left smiling! My 2 follow up treatment appointments (although very nervous) I felt in expert hands, time, patience, explaining, care for their patients. I feel they want all round perfection for you! I recommended my daughter and 2 friends (will continue recommending) they too have had their check ups/treatments and speak as highly of this practise as me! Positive experience: It was not a good experience for me, at Wickham Road practice, due to my restricted mobility, with a step down to the treatment room. The antibiotics, prescribed for me dealt with the immediate problem (and continues to do so), but I was to be referred on to another GDC, practice down the road, for a consultation, with a more senior dentist, which was not convenient. As a NHS patient, I felt the amount indicated for this this, was unexpected.
