Fantastic experience: We just moved back into Maidenhea after 8 years abroad and Portman Clinic location changed. I did not know where the entrance was and a nice smiling lady outside in the streets helped me to find my way. She happened to be one of the front desk receptionist. It is a very friendly place, very modern and neat on top.I had the pleasure to see Rachel Connelly, one of the rare hygenists I met in the UK who uses baking soda as not only it cleans better and it is a low tox product but on top it is quicker to remove biofilm. I can only recommend Rachel expertise as she is fast, painfree and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Gustavo has been great in explaining the benefits in preparing for veneers on my front upper teeth. That includes wearing a michigan splint as part of the preparation for my jaw alignment. I wear it as much as possible and pretty good at keeping it close to me and not loosing it like I do my keys . I am very happy with progress so far and the detailed explanation of what is being done at my visits. Can’t wait for the final results

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with Portman Dental Clinic as I like about their staff friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. I have a routine check-up/treatment with hygienist Libby, who had finally cracked a longstanding problem with my gum inflammation kept coming back even after receiving regular treatments for years by previous hygienists elsewhere. Libby introduced a simple solution to my daily cleaning. Magic! I have also an excellent dentist David at the clinic. I cannot praise enough about his trustworthy honesty, thoughtfulness, thoroughness of examination, communications with you for the clarity of the treatment plan and procedure and more… I am so lucky that he is my dentist :)

Having had 2 rather poor hygienist treatments, (with the same lady) I was thinking of not bothering to go back there again but decided to give one more (and last go) with different hygienist. And what a lovely surprise it was. Mindy was excellent. She cleaned my teeth for what seems like eternity. I had such a good cleaning by her. Thank you, Mindy. I'll see you in 6 months.

Negative experience: I had the overall feeling that I was either being scammed or was not appreciated as a customer. I've visited three times. During the first, I was offered one type of x'ray, and told the price, but the second type of x-ray was also taken and I assumed it was part of the same, and I was charged for that as well. When I mentioned this to reception I was met with nothing but a shrug. During the second visit I was given a consent form to sign and I was told I "had to sign it" whereas when I read the form it was for consent to be contacted with advertising and promotional material, not what the receptionist told me it was about (general contact about appointments). In the form itself it was written "please dont sign if you are not comfortable with receiving advertisement material" yet they still insisted that I had to sign it because their manager said so. I had spoken with the Dr about taking measurements for starting invisiline and I was told I was booked for it but on the third time I was there I was sent off before it was mentioned. I overheard other customers asking for the table of prices, supposedly also out of concern for something shady being done which at this point I don't doubt. Unsurprisingly, the table of service prices was not available to be handed out. On the bright side the dental service I needed was indeed done, albeit at much cost to my mental health. The Dr who cared for me is good. The management of this questionable establishment is decidedly incompetent or absent altogether.

Fantastic experience: Great service and professional care. You are in good hands and I did not feel that they’re trying to hard sell anything or treatments. Just brilliant experience with the amazing dentist “Lama” and the amazing hygienist “Sofie.”

Fantastic experience: I've just had two dental implants and my experience has been great. Gustavo prepared me for the worst possible scenarios before we began, but in fact everything went incredibly smoothly and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. It really wasn't anywhere near as rough a journey as I was expecting, and I'm so thankful to Gustavo and the rest of the team at Portman for giving me such a great experience.

Fantastic experience: As a complex case, I am particularly grateful for the attentive, considered and technically pioneering treatment I have received. The implants look good and the expert periodontal assistance I am receiving is very reassuring . I feel that all of the staff have the patient’s best interest at heart and I have been given clear advice kindly and warm- heartedly.I am particularly reassured by their long-term approach. The specialists are all experts in their field and offer a cautious, informed service .Everything is fully explained. The treatment I have received from Gustavo, Tania, Sophie(and other hygienists) ,as well as the dental nurses at the clinic, has been excellent.The efficient and very personable attitude of the receptionists also makes for a calm , can - do ambience. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I decided to go to Portman Dentist Maidenhead because I have a fear of the dentist & my NHS dentist didnt seem too compassionate so decided to try private as i needed treatment ASAP. Inside the building is beautiful and the receptionist was very friendly. The waiting area is very modern and comfortable and i didnt wait long before my appointment.. I was seen within 2 days of my initial booking and explained that I have a dental phobia. I was going to see Milan Shah who I made aware that I was extremely anxious. He didn't rush me, put me at ease & explained the steps he was going to do. As a private practice you can expect it to be fairly expensive but for quality treatment and care outweighs that. There are a variety of different expertise in dentistry so you can pretty much get get all your treatments under one roof. The only treatment not at available at this practice is sedation. It seems Reading is the place to have this done. There is limited parking at the practice, I believe only two spaces. From my experience I can highly recommend Portman Dentist Maidenhead. Excellent greeting from staff in reception on arrival, wait times in the the open plan seating area are always short and finally the quality of care from all members of the dental team is exceptional. I can only highly recommend the practice as an alternative to travelling into Harley Street.

Anaesthetic works so much better now than 15+ years ago so feel relaxed and able to allow the dentist to carry out the required surgery. Have been coming to Orchard for 30+ years and David Schofield has been first class throughout.

We have always found Jo, our lovely dentist and her lovely dental nurse Lucy, to be very friendly and courteous and has always puts our comfort first, we were both nervous patients but Jo has always put us at ease. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Gustavo Silva at Portman Dental Maidenhead. I have just finished my ClearCorrect dental alignment with teeth whitening and a veneer. It was a very complex case due to the severity of my malaligned teeth. However after talking with Gustavo I had the confidence that everything was going to work out fine and it did. He really cares about the end result, he is extremely professional and approachable. We had regular appointments to make sure everything was on track. I am extremely happy with the end result and have had unsolicited comments about how nice my smile is now. I couldn't be happier with the service and outcome. All of the staff are super friendly and the facilities are second to none.

Fantastic experience: David Schofield has been my dentist and Mindy has been my hygienist for many years as I have always been very happy about their dental skills. I recently went for my 6 monthly checkup at their new dental clinic at their new, very smart and easier to park nearby to the Portman clinic in Maidenhead. I highly recommend their professional skills and services a lot There is also a nice new nurse called Jasmine that works thee now. I am also very happy that I have not needed any fillings for my teeth for about 2 years. You can completely trust their expertise, knowledge.and honesty.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a nervous actually scared of going to the dentist…ALL MY LIFE!! I’ve visited many dentists and I wish Mark was the first dentist I ever had then my mouth would have survived much better. Can you believe I had a deep clean AND a filling and I felt NOTHING!! I’m always astonished at how amazing and gentle the treatments are at this practice!!! The best dentist ever. I’d recommend every nervous patient to go, you won’t even know someone’s actually working on your teeth.

Fantastic experience: I had the most awful toothache that happened suddenly the day before Christmas Eve. Even though my dentist was on holiday I got an emergency appointment on Christmas Eve with a lovely dentist who got me sorted out. So grateful to all the team, they’re just fantastic!

Fantastic experience: This is everything you hope a healthcare provider will be - the staff are kind, helpful, polite and professional; the facilities are first class. I'm someone who finds a visit to the dentist nerve-wracking, but it was almost enjoyable today (certainly a nice clean feeling afterwards!) Thanks to all the team for your great work and patience in answering my questions. In response to some other reviews - it's not cheap, but it's very good value for the standard of treatment you get. My dental health has improved significantly in the two years since I started going here, just from twice-yearly checkups and following the advice I've been given.

Fantastic experience: The most professional, clean and friendly dental practise I’ve ever been to. I moved out of the Windsor area and into London about 4 years ago, but I still make the 1hr20 drive back to Portman Dental to see Mr David Schofield because the treatment and care is first class. As someone who had intense dental work done in my youth (6 teeth removed, 4 sets of braces over 7 years and oral surgery in my early teens), my teeth are incredibly precious to me. I trust David Schofield wholeheartedly and wouldn’t go to any other clinic. Also it’s worth noting that the clinic is outstandingly clean, facilities are beautiful and the tech is properly advanced. The receptionists are super friendly, very responsive to the website contact form/email/telephone and getting an appointment is simple and quick. They were especially accommodating and helpful when I had an emergency impacted wisdom tooth.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to this dentist a couple times now. I am fully aware that I need a lot done and simply financially it’s not always been easy. That said on both occasions it was an extremely kind experience. I felt respected, cared for and most of all i wasn’t made to feel judged. Today was an emergency appointment and it was fast and effective to get booked in and my issue solved. For someone that had always been extremely ashamed of my teeth and absolutely scared to death of the dentist, I am committed to going back there to finally get what needs done done simply because they are so great. Oh the new offices are stunning too. You really know you are in good hands.

Negative experience: Felt fairly significantly financially violated. £94 for 15 mins … this is extortionate !! This was a check up and polish only.

Fantastic experience: I was in significant pain and my former dentist was not able to help me for nearly 1 month. I called Portman and I was able to be seen that evening. I left the office pain free and with a smile on my face. The whole experience from receptionist to waiting room to actual work done took my anxiety level right down and lightened my burden to a point of being able to make jokes… best Valentines gift my husband ever got me.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t speak more highly of Portman Dental in Maidenhead. Being new to Maidenhead and a new patient to Portman, I’ve had fantastic treatment throughout. Had a tooth repair done by Lama yesterday, she was very good, very meticulous and very conscious throughout that I was ok. Exceptional work !

Fantastic experience: I arrived at the clinic totally drenched because it started to rain heavily as I walked over from the train station. The team found some scrubs for me to wear, made sure I was warmed up and then started the treatment. That is the sort of treatment you want.

Negative experience: Ripped my mother off. Sold her something at extortionate cost which according to the next dentist we saw was a non-evidence based waste of money that would achieve nothing and if anything would make her symptoms worse. So, they did unnecessary dental work for the benefit of their own profit. Disgusting and unethical place.

Fantastic experience: Orchard Dental Surgery saved my holiday! They saw me at short notice, assessed my tooth and extracted it later- all ready for me to fly the next day. Everyone was extremely kind and professional - and the extraction was as near to painless as I think is possible! Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Very kind people. Quality has been proven not as good as expected. Had to go to another clinic for corrections in treatment.

Negative experience: I am giving 2 stars for the staff, Laurent. She is fabulous; attentive, helpful and caring. Libby, the hygenist is good. But they lose 3 stars due to Dentist Natascha. She charges FAR too much. 3 fillings - 350BP average and fills teeth to be crowns a month or two later. Found this out AFTER the (filling) work was done. Outrageous. Switched dentists.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is certainly very friendly. As a dentist, Dominic is excellent. I cannot praise him enough. He has looked after me for 30 years and is undoubtedly the very best I have experienced [I am 78] and has given me the closest I have ever got to a "painless" dental experience. Mindy, by the nature of her task is never going to be quite so painless, and I know I must try harder to "relax my cheeks" to enable her to do her job more effectively, but I also know that by the time I leave, that job will be well done.

Negative experience: I do not recommend. I had my appointment on 27 April 2023 at 5pm with the hygienist. She came to collect me at 5.09pm and by 5.31pm I was done. I was so shocked that it was firstly finished up so quickly as my old hygienist in Datchet usually takes about 45mins. Secondly it was the most painful experience in my life. My hygienist was poking in between my teeth like it was possessed. I am not one who is afraid to go to dental in fact I look forward to getting my teeth clean. I won't even say I have terrible oral hygiene but there was absolutely zero empathy, care or thought given in the way she clean my teeth. It was uncomfortable, painful and borderline violent even. I am really shocked. Yes gum bleeding is normal after such appointment but my lower lips are busted now too! She was poking so hard it cut my lower lip and now it is swollen like I got in a fist fight? Plus this appointment was more expensive than one I usually go to. £89 for 20mins hygienist appointment? I let you make the call. For comparison, white datchet clinic charges about £76 for full hygienist appointment with that hydro clean too. If time was tight, I would have been happy to be rescheduled another day. This whole experience left, literally such a metallic taste in my mouth. I'm really sad that my first appointment turn out this way. When receptionist asked if I want to make another appointment in 6months, I said no thanks. I left the dental crying.

Its been quite emotional as he had to send me to a gum specialist and after that removed 3 teeth that had a hopeless prognosis. I have never had teeth removed since i was a child and then i was put to sleep so i was worried but with the correct local anaesthetic and Mark's dentistry experience it was pain free and removed cleanly . Fantastic experience: I was impressed with my new dentist, Dr Natasha Mungrah, was very thorough and explained clearly what she was doing and how I could improve my dental care. She asked before taking X-Rays which is a good sign that I won't be encouraged to have unnecessary treatment. The one downside is the lack of parking.

With some encouragement from my other half I finally decided to go and see David my dentist he has been very patient with me and explained everything. I plan to visit regularly. Fantastic experience: A well organised small practice with wonderful welcoming staff. The surgery is bright, clean and calming. Dentist Mark and hygienist Julie are both personable, professional, highly experienced, caring and gentle and always willing to use sufficient local anaesthetic to make procedures less painful. I have been a patient of this surgery for over 30 years and although I have recently moved to Sussex, I continue to drive up to Maidenhead to attend the Orchard Clinic! Parking is usually easy (and so far free!) in the surrounding roads.
