Fantastic experience: I had been with this practice for 2 years... seen 2 other dentists but not happy.. However, now, I feel that in 'Udo' I have found a dentist who is both professional, knowledgeable, experienced (all the things you expect) but also sensitive for 'scaredy-cats' like me. I had a cap with a bridge and, aged 64, it's the best my 'smile' has been. No fuss. Perfect match to current tooth colour..... Using the opportunity to improve/correct gaps etc. I really could not recommend Udo more.

Fantastic experience: This afternoon at Parkhill Dental Surgery im Torquay I had the very good fortune to have 2 fillings done by the Dentist, Dr Agata, assisted by Nurse Olivia. After some very bad dental experiences in recent years in Australia it was a huge pleasure and relief to be looked after by these 2 very caring and highly competent professionals. I did not experience a moment of discomfort. Thank you very much Agata and Olivia!

Fantastic experience: Had to have a filling and I always have the injection which often hurts but felt nothing at the time or since, but most of all I hate the build up of saliva when my mouth is open for a while as I fear I will choke and not be able to breathe and Agata ensured that I was comfortable by putting my chair up and continuously checking I was alright. The easiest filling I’ve experienced thank you Agata. Gill Carter.

Fantastic experience: Being needle phobic, a trip to the dentist is not at the top of my favourite things to do…but Dr Agata is the very best, gentlest and most compassionate lady. She never rushes you, she does everything to your timetable, to make it..well not enjoyable..but a tolerable experience and coming from me that is a diamond rated compliment. This afternoon I had a tooth extraction and believe me that the mental angst I suffered all morning was a total waste of time, as it was over and done within seconds….and ( I can’t believe I’m saying this) pain free. Fantastic experience: The best dental treatment I have received anywhere - six fillings completed here with minimal pain and maximum skill, speed, and patient care. If your faith in dentists is more shattered than your weary teeth then this is the place to restore it!

Fantastic experience: This week I received root canal treatment on a tooth I had been having trouble with for a while. I was quite anxious about having it done, but Dr Agata put my mind at rest and did an excellent job, where I had no pain whatsoever during or after the procedure.

One who would fix the problems with my teeth rather than offer expensive cosmetic treatments and leave fillings undone. Luckily I found Parkhill. Having had my first check-up with Udo Leister after a gap of about 18 months felt like I was having a personal " Christmas " again. Udo is so kind and gentle, and I know this is combined with his knowledge and many years experience. He discovered a deterioration in my gum health and booked me back in to the practice within a fortnight I believe it was, to carry out a Periodontal treatment himself as there wasn't a hygienist available soon enough. Fantastic experience: DR UDO IS AMAZING! I am normally a very nervous patient, I have had three experiences with this Dentist now and cannot recommend him enough. He has a very calming presence, he is very gentle, explains everything in a very reassuring way and did some top quality work. He is clearly a master of his craft. I never imagined I could get such high quality work on the NHS. Thank you Dr Udo, you were amazing.

Positive experience: Since the poor review all the problems have been sorted out to my satisfaction so maybe I was a little harsh and some staff training was needed.(bad review now removed)

Fantastic experience: Having called the Practice to report some sensitivity, the Parkhill team responded by booking me in for a check within 48 hours. Agata quickly diagnosed a problem crown. Two further appointments in short order and I’m now back to normal. What can I say other than superb dentistry delivered by a compassionate, committed, highly skilled professional (aided of course by a first rate dental nurse). I count myself extremely fortunate to be a Parkhill patient and I would heartily recommend the Practice to anyone in the area. The whole team from the front desk to the back office are an absolute credit to the profession. Thank you all for doing what you do in the way that you do it.

Negative experience: I joined the practice and when my husband joined and paid upfront for appt at his appt he was told he needed lots fillings and over 600.pounds treatment. We were told this had to be paid upfront to book an appt in to get his fillings done. We were told it was practice policy to take payment for all appointments before treatment is made and when the appt is made. I explained this was told to us on joining the practice she said its on notice board. How are new patients meant to know they have a notice board to show new patients how they need to paid before a booking can be made if the patient isn't told to find noticeboard and read terms and conditions. It was unreal I never known any dentist make you pay upfront for all treatments when booked in let alone not tell you until 2nd appt and too late to find somewhere else once paid for first condult. I explained this to practice manager who just didn't understand customer service and just said that's how we work like it or lump it attitude. On getting 2nd opinion on my husbands 600 pounds treatment they wanted us to have ge was told its not needed and we would wasted 600 pounds having it done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Pawel and Nurse Charlotte are wonderfull. I recently had a tooth removed and Dr Pawel put me at ease while Nurse Charlotte was very attentive and reassuring. I strongly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: It was my first trip to the dentist in years, I was warmly welcomed by a delightful young lady called tia. The examination was quick but thorough and Dr Pawel was full of good advice for me. The waiting room and dentists room were absolutely immaculate. Strange to say I always have quite a fun time and now he has nurse Charlotte with him too, the team is complete. Put a smile on my day, even though my very old cap fell out and they've had to come to the rescue. I've gone in feeling a bit apprehensive, but as soon as I sat on the chair, the dentist,(dr agata) and nurse(olivia) had me really feeling relaxed and in no time they were finished!!! Negative experience: Cannot even get through to make appointment. Called at 8am and 8.20am and phones all switched off. Call later in morning get answer machine leave message which is never returned no dentists available after 3pm ever. Probably excellent if you are a private customer not for NHS which is why I left this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have used Parkhill for 12years and I find the reception staff very friendly very professional and they always try there best to get you seen as soon as possible. The dentists are very professional and seem to work to a very high standard of competence. They seem to excel with nervous patients like me. I think that they are doing an amazing job during these difficult times. I have returned to parhill dentist for another appointment and I have had 3 fillings and a new set of dentures to fill in the gaps in the top of my mouth and the bottom of my mouth. As usual no Paine or suffering. As soon as I return home I was able to eat a meal and normally I would have to take out the dentures this time I could eat with them in. I am over the moon. As always I get a amazing service from the the receptionist to the dentist very friendly, caring and professional. I have just had a root canal filling and crown replaced. I didn't feel the injection or the work on my tooth. Fantastic experience: Nobody likes fillings, but my visit today went very well. There was clear and friendly communication, followed by good anesthesia and a quick and pain free implementation of 2 fillings. In and out in under 35 minutes as well.
