Old Town Dental Care - Invisalign, Dentist in Aberdeen

Negative experience: Had a terrible experience with this practice. Was needing a tooth to be removed on witch I waited for almost a month before they did anything and the dentist liked to get xrays everytime i visited. The reception staff was unprofessional at there job. Would recommend going elsewhere for treatment.

Negative experience: Avoid, poor filling and dental, have to get everything redone. The root canal that was also done here wasn’t done properly which lead to an abscess at the root tip (This was a straight forward root canal which they messed up) which meant the tooth had to come out due dental negligence. DO NOT GO HERE.

Fantastic experience: First class treatment. Put at ease. Most important the work on my fillings pain free and perfect.

Fantastic experience: Based on my personal experience, I can highly recommend Old Town Dental Care, located at 519 King St, Aberdeen AB24 3BT. I was a new patient and found it to be a fantastic dental practice. The receptionists are efficient and helpful. The dental nurses, Emy and Breanne, were exceptional and thoughtful. Dr Chloe Oodo was charming, and she is the best dentist I have been to in my life. I explained to Chloe that I get slightly nervous at the dentist, and she calmed my anxiety. I had a filling, and this was the least painful dental experience I have ever had in my whole life.

Keep it up :) Dr. Khalid is absolutely phenomenal! I was experiencing pain and numbness, and he swiftly assessed my condition. He conducted all necessary x-rays promptly, diagnosed the issue immediately, and efficiently resolved the problem. Not only did he provide the right prescription, but he also ensured that my concerns were addressed on the same day. The clinic was impeccably clean, and I was able to get an emergency appointment just half an hour after contacting them, with no issues whatsoever. I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Khalid's expertise and the seamless experience at the clinic. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I've been absolutely terrified of going to the dentist my whole life and went the last 10 years unable to go due to fear. Finally, I got myself to this dentist, and they've completely turned my entire experience around. My dentist, Cloe, is absolutely lovely and was so patient with me when I got a bit panicked and dizzy before a filling. She put a cold cloth on my head and gave me plenty of time, and then when I was eventually able to go through with the treatment, she was so efficient, and I had zero issues afterward! I finally feel safe and comfortable going to the dentist regularly. The receptionists and everyone I've spoken with here are just great!

Fantastic experience: Having been with my old dentist for years they recently cancelled multiple appointments, have no hygienist and said the earliest they could fit me in to mend a chipped tooth was April 2025. Then they emailed to say my dentist was leaving so I had to find another practice. I rang Old Town last week, registered, had an initial check up & X-rays done on Monday and have an appointment next week for the tooth to be sorted. They did offer me one this week which I couldn't manage!! To paraphrase a well known beer commercial......'if Carlsberg did dentists.....' Fabulous - welcoming, thorough and very efficient. I'm just delighted.

Fantastic experience: The first time I heard of this dental practice was in 2017. I was studying at Aberdeen Uni and my roommate had an appointment with them and was very happy with the clinic. At the end of my Master I had a dental emergency and went straight to them before heading back my home country as a private patient. The impression was so good that when I came back in 2022 and I had a dental emergency I tried to make an appointment with them. Unfortunately they did not have any availability. I had to go other practice and my quest for the right one started. As soon as I found out they were accepting nhs patients I signed up with them. I am glad I insisted, It has proven to be one of the best decisions I have made. Whether you have to go private or choose them as a nhs patient, this is serious dentistry ( from a simple cleaning and polishing your teeth to more complex treatments) strongly committed to their community and patients, it is a pool of talent of which my dentist Mr K Kaleb is part of, both friendly and professional, cant praise him enough. In plain English no crap like with others. This is an overall view shaped from my personal experience over the years. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Very nervous when it comes to dental work. But the staff are welcoming and reassuring.

Positive experience: The dentist wasn’t rude or anything but the entire process felt very transactional and didn’t feel personable at all. There was no small talk whatsoever in order to make the patient feel comfortable before having a stranger pry into their gums. The dentist nor his assistant didn’t say more than 5 sentences to me - combined. At the end of the cleaning I had to ask to see the mirror, it wasn’t offered. Like, hello? Entire process between cleaning and polishing wasn’t more than 15 min, which seemed a bit fast. He attributed the quick turnaround to lack of plaque build up. But He was very gentle though & i didn’t feel any pain. Not displeased with the cleaning itself. People skills could just be a bit better to make the 75 pounds feel worth it. But maybe he was just shy.

Negative experience: I recently had a disappointing experience at Old Town Dental Care. In November 2022, I had a wisdom tooth extraction where a portion of the tooth was left in the gum with the assurance that it would naturally come out over time. However, this has caused me significant pain recently. When I returned to the practice for help, the communication and scheduling of appointments were not handled well. An extraction was promised on the same day as my hygienist appointment, but this was later retracted. A last-minute appointment was offered which was impossible to attend due to the short notice. I feel let down by the service and the lack of consideration for my situation. I hope my feedback can lead to improvements in patient care and communication at the practice.

My dentist, Marina Saura, and her assistant are very professional, make you feel very relaxed and comfortable during your appointment. They go through each step explaining what is happening and what happens next. I'm not sure i know anyone who enjoys a visit to the dentist but i have to say my last appointment wasn't the worst 20 minutes I've had in my life.
