Fantastic experience: 5 stars don’t do Forest & Ray dental practice justice. My bank holiday weekend started with the worst tooth ache in human history, the entire National Health Service failed me for two days. Forest & Ray (& staff) were the only people to help, they were understanding, calm and got me appointment in less than 24h. The work carried out was professional and I felt like I was in and out quickly, completely pain free I’ll add. Thank you again to Forrest & Ray

Fantastic experience: Booked an emergency appointment for extreme pain. Dr Nik was excellent - dealt with the pain first and then through a few more appointments, treated the issue and restored the tooth without it having to be removed. Quality work from an experienced professional.

Negative experience: Unfortunate traumatising experience with the clinic and Dr. Nikolaos Kasiteridis. Blackmail with physical pain after a comment on the time schedule and work of the receptionist. It took me some time to actually write this comment, but after some consideration, it was an extremely upsetting experience, and I have to search for a new dentist. Warning off any new patients of "bad mood" with this doctor. From the start, the receptionist was very rude and gave me no indication of how long I am waiting for my booked appointment. She spoke loudly on the phone, talking about private matters and shouting, whilst I was wondering if my appointment even goes ahead. In the end, it was 30 minutes late. It was clear to me in hindsight that another lady was waiting before me by the time I arrived for the same dentist. I dared to mention to Dr Nikolaos that in case of emergencies like these, it is prudent to let the next patient know how long their appontment will be delayed for. It was during the work day, so I took allocated time off. Having an appontment 30 mins delayed impacted my schedule. By the time I arrived, it was clear I wiuld be delayed, so calling to note the delay or at least mention this upon arrival would be decent politeness. I was rudely brushed off as it was "unexpected" and not to complain. I noted the time crunch, when I was sat down for a clean. A few seconds into it, I felt a sharp pain and was told by Dr Nikolaos "See, dont rush me or it will be painful!". It was painful throughout and I was crying. Genuinely blackmailing the patient who cannot escape in the dentist seat with mouth open. If you are aftraid of going to a dentist in general, it is even worse. It is extremely disappointing experience, especially as you read the lovely review. I might have gotten the doctor on the bad day, but then physical pain infliction on patients should not happen even on a bad day...

Fantastic experience: As usual, Dr Krisztina Papp has solved the problem with my veneer! (Not done at Forest & Ray). She explained my options at the beginning of the treatment and I was able to make an informed decision before we started. She managed to save the veneer, clean it up, prepare my own tooth and re-attach the veneer with a stronger bonding substance, little invasion and no pain. She has a nice gentle touch and I totally trust her judgement and her work. I would fully recommend Dr Krisztina to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at the clinic with the staff and Dr. Nik (especially him tbh) , were the best I could ask for. I was really skeptical because I have a big fear of dentist, and the only one I always went to is back in my homecountry. But Dr. Nik had a lot of patience, and was really nice during both appointments. Negative experience: Terrible experience – only interested in money. I requested a simple alginate dental cast, something I’ve had done many times while wearing braces, and was told it wasn’t possible because of the braces—a claim that doesn’t make sense based on my past experiences. They charged me approximately £120 for the dental print, which is far above the average cost of £50. Interestingly, the amount they charged coincidentally matched the cost of two consultations, even though I had explicitly stated that I didn’t require a consultation and only needed the cast. To make matters worse, they didn’t provide a receipt for the service, making me feel scammed. I would strongly recommend avoiding this practice if you want to avoid being overcharged or misled.
Negative experience: I had two root canal treatment in 2021 who have been performed in this practice. Recently I experienced pain nearby those teeth and the dentist who examined me told me that both were performed poorly and I need to do an Apex Resection to fix one of them that is infecting my nasal septum. Please avoid.

Since I had many bad experiences at other places, I arrived here feeling very scared and distrustful. I have been through a long journey because I had many problems. Fantastic experience: First, I contacted the Forest&Ray dental practice when I needed emergency care. Then I went on with complex therapies including implants within the last 2-3 years. I have been saved from pain and infections and treated at the highest professional level and with profound kindness. Dr Lydia Dzhukha, Dr Nik Kasiteridis and Dr E Martinis were involved in my treatments. I am ever grateful to them. I had special requests due to my long-distance travelling and work commitments. The practice went to great lengths to accommodate me. The whole team, the nurses and the receptionists were very supportive. It may be also important to the customers that this dental practice is located near the Kings Cross Station and next to the British Museum.

Fantastic experience: I first went to Forest & Ray after having repeated issues with a molar that kept repeatedly fracturing after being filled by a different dentist. I wanted to try a different dentist - and so I went to Forest & Ray. Although initially it looked like the molar was sufficiently badly damaged to warrant removal as the last fracture was underneath the gum, Dr Nikolaos was able to treat the tooth. He performed a very complex filling on the tooth involving deep margin elevation, which was very impressive to me as it required an extremely high level of skill on his part. Five months later, the tooth remains fine, which is a substantial relief! In general, it was very clear to me that Dr Nik and the other dentists at Forest & Ray take great pride in the dentistry that they deliver. And rightfully so - amongst other things, they use the very best composites for fillings (from Japan!), they use the very best, most sensitive X-ray sensors on the market, and leave plenty of time for your appointment so the work is done to the very highest standard. As a dental practice in Central London, they are relatively expensive, yes, but it's more than worth it to get dental care that is much more likely to last. A good insurance policy will also greatly help cover the cost of care. I was so impressed by the level of dentistry delivered by Dr Nik that I decided to switch from my previous dentist of 33 years to the practice. When the time comes that I will need further work other than a scale & polish and check-ups (as unfortunately almost everyone does in the UK sooner or later!), I will be in very safe hands.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 Amazing practice!! Unfortunately end of last year perhaps got a very very bad infection all over my teeth and palate and I had to get emergency. Fortunately the Holborn practice could give me immediately care by Dr. Lydia, whom I will be always grateful that she saved me on that day. The infection was horrible in my body and constantly pain and started my nightmare, but the really amazing journey with Dr. Nick and the practice.First of all everyone is so lovely, Prajakta and Hina at the reception, always calm, helpful and really care about patients feeling and they have sympathy. Nikolas made me feel comfortable and reassured me and also transformed the look of my teeth which was a big insecurity of mine. Love this dentist as they are also open on weekends and as I work during the week it is easier to schedule appointments. Fantastic experience: Most of the times our dentist was Krisztina who is very professional, knowledgable and thorough during the treatments. She always gave us detailed explanation about what the issue was or detailed instructions of what to do after the treatment. I took my 3 year old daughter for her first dental check-up when Krisztina was very patient and kind to her and as a result she was not scared or worried during the whole check-up. My whole family attends this dental practice for a number of years now and we have met different doctors depending on what specialist we needed. On all occassions the level of service provided was excellent and all staff members were polite and professional. I can highly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I had to find a place that would take me after starting a braces treatment in another country. I was lucky enough to find an orthodontist somewhat near my place. I’m just a university student so I don’t have much money on me but Dr. Lydia was kind enough to help me with the payment by splitting it up and making it easier for me. I’ve been having some issues with the braces at the beginning but in the end it started to get better. When I was getting my braces off after over a year of wearing them, they did an amazing job by cleaning them up and making them looked very polished. I believe it's important to emphasize that in some situations, the decisions made can appear to be primarily driven by financial considerations. While my records may not be present in your system due to the passage of many years, I feel it's my right to express my perspective based on my past experience. I'd like to share a personal experience from several years ago when I had just arrived in the UK with limited funds. At the time, I faced a dental issue – one of my fillings had fallen out. Seeking a quick resolution, I reached out to Forest Ray Dental. During my visit, the dentist I initially saw seemed unsure about how to proceed and sought advice from another colleague. Unfortunately, due to my financial constraints, they proposed a tooth removal as it fell within my budget. Understandably, I felt quite lost and embarrassed about the situation. With only £600 in total, I couldn't afford any other options. Ultimately, I agreed to the tooth removal, but during the procedure, it became apparent that my dental roots were misaligned or facing some issue. This led to a prolonged and painful extraction process ( hours of drilling!!!) , resulting in pain, and subsequent inflammation. Since then, I do have my own business, appreciate my clients, and help where I can. And of course, even we are from the same country, I rather visit another lovely dentist in the city, which is a bigger company at reasonable prices.

Negative experience: My experience at this clinic was mixed. The staff were nice and did a good job fixing my tooth fast. But the cost was a huge surprise. I was charged £135 for a small tooth fix that took just 10 minutes. I also had to pay an extra £70 just to book the appointment. They called this a 'consultation fee', but I didn't get any real consultation. I checked prices at other local British clinics before I went, and they quoted much lower prices. Plus, those clinics included teeth cleaning in the price. They also said they offer discounts or even free service to Ukrainians. I am Ukrainian, but instead of getting a discount, even the examination of my Ukrainian documents was superficial at best, I ended up being charged 5 times more than I would have paid at a local British clinic. I wish this clinic would be more honest about their prices and what services are included. It's especially important for people like me from other countries who aren't familiar with the way things work here.

During Covid I had a dental emergency that forced me to rely on a dentist who turned the last two years into a nightmare. The result? Negative experience: I was a loyal customer for Forest and Ray for years until a hygiene cleaning went wrong last year. I did raise this concerns and went back to show my chipped tooth. They promised me it would be confidential and nobody going to judge me as I complaint about it however I did feel I was! After that nobody ever followed up with me if that one visit went well. No it didn't actually. That dentist who saw me was very rude and obviously felt offended that I dare to say that one of her colleagues chipped my teeth. It wasn't a pleasant visit and I wished I have never went back to this clinic. I'm truly sad that this is how you take care of your customers who was loyal for years. Now I do have to over come my fear which I never had before if I do want to go to another dentist provider for a teeth hygiene cleaning....my one star is very generous! :)

Regarding the incident you mentioned from last year, I understand that you came back to us a full year later with concerns about a minor chipping. It is indeed possible, albeit rare, for minor chipping to occur during a dental hygiene treatment. As soon as you raised your concerns, we felt it was important to offer a complimentary consultation with another dentist for an objective assessment. As noted, it was determined that the chipping was exceptionally minor. However, we recognize and understand that any alteration, no matter how small, can cause distress.
While we always strive to ensure our consultations are professional and empathetic, it appears we may not have met these expectations during your subsequent visit. Fantastic experience: Came in with an urgent problem. The clinic was able to find an opportunity to see me within the next 2 hours after my call. My tooth was treated by doctor Lydia Dzhukha. I want to note professional and transparent approach to treatment (received comprehensive answers to all questions about treatment), the doctor's desire to save the tooth, instead of removing the symptoms now at the expense of future problems. Communication was greatly facilitated by the fact that Lydia speaks Russian/Ukrainian. I plan to continue to solve problems with my teeth here. My best recommendation and thanks to Lydia and clinic ! I want to once again say a big thank to Lydia for her professionalism and easy hand :) I also want to thank the clinic for the program of dental care for Ukrainians.
