Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Very friendly and helpful staff who are all well trained and knowledgable. Lindsey, the dentist, is fantastic: Really good at explaining things and has been exceptional in accommodating my mother, the patient, who has advanced dementia.

Fantastic experience: Great service and treatment from all the staff at Oban dental care. From my dentist Kate,to the reception staff,they have been brilliant. An addition to the above,just had my first appointment with the dental hygienist, who was also excellent.

Positive experience: Unfortunately did not come up to standard. As the clinic could no longer appoint a dentist to me, I have to make alternative arrangements.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful reception staff, booked in and seen promptly. Today's visit was a hygiene appointment. Very happy with the treatment and always receive good advice for ongoing care. As a very nervous patient I am always treated with patience and understanding. Fiona is thorough but gentle and explains everything step by step. Can highly recommend this practice for all types of dental care including more complex cases like mine. In addition I had a sore spot which concerned me and although I did not have an appointment they managed to squeeze me in incase further treatment would be required, fortunately it was nothing but I was grateful to be seen by Fergus so quickly. Excellent practice with helpful & friendly reception staff, so important as they are the first people you see.

Fantastic experience: Possibly the best dental care I have ever had. Seen urgently despite their heavy case load and given the attention and detail required to deal with my issue. Kate was fantastic. Fiona was possibly the best Hygienist I have ever seen and highly professional. Front Office team were outstanding and communicated effectively and with empathy. Every member of staff was courteous and helpful. Congratulations Team, what an achievement! Thank you.

Negative experience: Given a emergency booking the same day. Decided to have a tooth removed while there as seemed the best decision, however after the best part of an hour the tooth had not been removed. Now having to wait a month for another appointment to have it removed surgical. Still in quite a bit of discomfort, more now than when I first arrived. Prescribed penicillin which has helped, also increased pain relief. Disappointed that I'm having to wait so long for a follow up appointment and the problem is now worse than before, however the staff are polite and helpful, I just wish it could be sorted out sooner.

She constantly checked that I was all right while she cleaned my teeth and adjusted the seat according to what was comfortable for me even although it made things more difficult for her. I can’t commend Fiona highly enough

Fantastic experience: I broke my crown late afternoon and phoned up ,managed to get appointment next morning when the dentist managed to pin the pieces together for a temporary fix till I get a full appointment after the festive holidays, very thankful to her and staff

Fantastic experience: I was exceptionally lucky to get an immediate, last minute appointment for acute toothache, just before Christmas. I was mast kindly treated and successfully treated. Oh! The Joy.

Fantastic experience: My toothache started to flare up on Thursday and by Friday morning it was clearly not going away and on the Pain scale it was 5/10 (5 – Moderately strong pain. It can’t be ignored for more than a few minutes, but with effort you still can manage to work or participate in some social activities.) I called ODC first thing and got an appointment to see my dentist at 12.30pm that day. Xrays soon identified the problem and I was given antibiotics. Friday evening the pain was 7/10 (7 – Severe pain that dominates your senses and significantly limits your ability to perform normal daily activities or maintain social relationships. Interferes with sleep). By Saturday evening the pain was 9/10 (9 – Excruciating pain. Unable to converse. Crying out and/or moaning uncontrollably.) Fortunately the antibiotics kicked in on Sunday and by Monday morning the pain was down to 2/10(2 – Minor pain. Annoying and may have occasional stronger twinges.) Living on an island I really do not know what I would have done if I had not been seen on Friday and got a prescription that day. A fervent thank you to the entire team and may I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Positive experience: My appointment started exactly on time and was efficiently carried out. Although not relevant to this appointment and the reason I have not given 5* is that my request to join the practice as an NHS patient continues to be refused and I have to attend as a private patient.

The dental work that i have recieved has always been of very good standard and pain free. I would recommend this practice to anyone. Negative experience: Came here because of jaw pain that had been causing me regular intense headaches for months with the suspicion it could be my wisdom teeth. Dentist shrugged off my concerns and after taking closeup x-rays of my wisdom teeth told me they're fine and don't need to be removed, the pain I was experiencing is probably just them coming out "like a teething baby". Half a year later I went to two more independent dentists clueless because my headaches were still there and was told by both that my wisdom teeth absolutely need to come out asap as they will soon damage my other teeth and one of them is also sitting right on a nerve which is what's most likely causing my headaches. Scheduled for urgent surgery under anesthesia in three weeks now... Two stars only for the team at the reception who were very kind and accommodating when I asked to get x-rays emailed and I got the appointment fairly quickly.

Fantastic experience: I think the patient care here is just top notch. Rarely have I encountered anything near this in any professional medical setting, anywhere in 55 years. Absolutely superb. I joke that if my Dentist moves house, I’m going to move too! Seriously though, if the wider NHS operated to this standard we’d truly have the best health service in the world. Thank you so much to the whole team. Incredible.

Fantastic experience: Overall great experience. I trust Kate a lot when it comes to my dental care. Never feel judged in there. The work I have got done is always perfect! Never an issue with the fillings or anything. The girls at reception are brilliant too! Very helpful and so nice to talk to! Would 100% recommend to people looking for a new dentist. One of the reasons i have registered my 8 month old daughter here. I trust Kate with my daughter and I know the work she does is excellent.

Fantastic experience: I saw Kate because I needed a new partial denture. My last one did not fit properly and I couldn't eat with it in. I had a few appointments and Kate made sure the denture was done properly and fit well. She adjusted it to fit just right. Now I can eat normally and it looks natural. Thanks for making sure it was all done right.

Positive experience: Excellent service apart from talking me to get all my teeth taken out. I had a dental placement to clip in. Disappointed that I paid 350 and didn’t merit a container for my dental implant. Also disappointed that I was chased across the road after the procedure to go back to reception to sign forms. I had already confirmed that I had paid they should of known this?

Fantastic experience: Two fillings to redo and a broken tooth to be built up but Fearghas got it all done and was good at keeping me informed about what he was doing. Not a pleasure but a relief to have it done. Cost the only downside.
