Fantastic experience: 1st Class treatment and service was received by the Dental Surgeon Manisha the Dental Nurse Kramena and the reception staff especially Julie. The appointment process and subsequent date change etc was done with minimum inconvenience. The treatment of the complaint was handled professionally, efficiently and in a most friendly manner with the assistance of a most helpful dental nurse. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Dental Practice to any future/prospective patient. My sincere thanks to all the concerned staff.

I had problems with my last dentist and it left me with a phobia of dentists, but this is cured now by all the lovely people here. My dentist Sohaib Jan is fantastic, he explained all the treatments I would need, was gentle and reassuring. With my partial dentures I now am able to smile again, the fitting and colour are great. His assistants and the receptionists are always so lovely and friendly too. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’m very anxious about dentist appointments and I must say I’m not the best patient and don’t always follow dental hygiene advice. So I often only attend when you guessed it I have a problem. But even then I’m never judged and always make to feel at ease. On my last visit dentist was professional and explained everything clearly to me and his assistant was also amazing and made me feel safe . And after receiving two fillings and some follow up advice I left feeling confident that they are a great dental practice and i have no complaints Thank you east street

Positive experience: The girls at reception are fantastic. Really lovely and they engage in conversation with the patients in the waiting room. Bonus is that the music is always on point, making it a really welcoming vibe. The dentist I have now is great. The young lady really takes her time. Stay away from the older female dentist. I won't name her but once you've had her, you'll know. Ask to go with the younger dentist afterwards. Her respect levels do not improve. She actually became very confrontational with my son in the room. I was 5 minutes late to reception which isn't ideal but was due to the school run. No problem downstairs. Once I got upstairs, I apologised profusely (more than necessary for 7 minutes)and for some reason she proceeded to berate me and making snide remarks throughout the entire time he sat in the chair. I honestly couldn't believe it. I walked out seething after reminding her of how unprofessional and unpleasant she came across. I had booked a double appointment which meant I was straight after him which makes it even more bizarre as I wasn't delaying another patient. I cannot stand for anyone disrespecting me, let alone teaching my child to disrespect me. I've been at this dentist for 15 years and only felt the need to leave a detailed review as apart from that one member of staff, this is my favourite medical practice to go to. Well done ladies!

Fantastic experience: I believe that I am fortunate enough to have belonged to this Dental Practice for the past 26 years and have seen it through all it's various incarnations. The most recent of which I will undoubtedly say is by far the best ever, all the boxes are ticked with the main Dentist, the assistant and all the support staff; top marks all round!

Negative experience: I recently visited the dentist for an issue with both my upper and lower wisdom teeth. After enduring four days of pain, I had to follow up myself to secure an appointment as I didn’t receive a promised callback. During the visit, the service felt rushed and unprofessional. The dentist informed me they could only address one tooth due to the nature of the emergency appointment, leaving the other untreated. This lack of communication and limited care made the experience frustrating. I hope to see improvements in communication and patient handling in the future.

Negative experience: My dentist name is Dr Obiaderi Adomo she’s worst dentist I ever met. When I came in my first appointment with so badly pain in my one of teeth she did X-ray and said I don’t know why you have pain teeth is looking okay when I said ‘I have so much bad pain and couldn’t sleep whole night ‘ After that she started doing route canal on it without asking me. she put injections three four time and without waiting to numbness the area she started drilling and she gave me worst pain of my whole life because it was infection she should give me antibiotics first and after infection gone she should go for farther treatment but instead she started drilling in my infected teeth that’s why it was so much painful and gave me sewer headache on that day after that she said she’ll do this procedure in three appointments and in my second appointment I brought my daughter with me to explain her that she must wait for numbness the area after giving me injections and she argued with her that she can’t wait because she has other appointment as well. anyway she started working on my teeth. My mouth kept open approximately 45 minutes and she put plastic thingi on my mouth that was pinched my lips that’s so mush uncomfortable and after all this rubbish she without informing put some too much bitter solution in my teeth that’s go in my throat and I was nearly vomite and I was trying to cough on sink and she gave me annoying behaviour because she had to remove that plastic thingi and I did gargle and try to clear my throat after that she started cleaning and did x ray again then said because she didn’t have proper tools that’s why she referred me to specialist It’s so mush frustrating ridiculous that giving me so much pain and anxiety in the end she didn’t complete her job

Fantastic experience: The practice is clean & well organised & I received an excellent service at reception & from the dentist. My dentist, Dr Adorno is excellent at what she does, she gave me a needle to numb my gum & I did not feel it nor did I suffer the after affects of a long spell of uncomfortable numbness. All my appointments were dealt with on time & all staff were polite & informative. I am fully satisfied with my treatment & experience & would highly recommend this dental practice & my dentist.

Fantastic experience: The reception team are friendly and helpful and my dental team, Dr. Sohaib Jan and his able dental nurse Kedra are both friendly and knowledgeable. I recently visited for a regular checkup and was experiencing bleeding gums because of, I thought, gum disease. Actually there was something stuck in the gap between two upper molars that was causing the problem. Sohaib identified this quickly and was able to extract the item. He said that the gum would stop bleeding within fourteen days and it actually stopped bleeding in around two. I am very pleased with the treatment I received from the East Street Dental Practice.

Negative experience: One of the receptionist has no manners talking to customers on the phone , she must think she’s on the phone to her boyfriends or something, no confidence no manners no morals … she needs to understand the patients are not her relatives so she should use professional language while at work on site and on the phone at all times. 24:5:24/17:20.

Negative experience: I had a cavity and the doctor filled it, however the filling failed months after and turns out I’d need a root canal treatment, however the doctor here literally told me he’d refill it or I’d need a gum transplant which doesn’t make sense. I’m in soo much pain and this inexperienced doctor has told me to use sensodyne rapid relief to floss the teeth which irritated it and made my teeth worse. Now I’m in so much pain and will need a root canal treatment. Avoid them at all cost!!!!

Been going there a few years now and unlike my former dentist, I get to be seen by the same dentist every appointment. Which is great. The service provided has always been excellent even during the pandemic. I can highly recommend them.

Negative experience: This practice has no soul. My elderly parents in their 80's got thier appointment dates mixed up and missed appointment.They only registered 2 weeks ago. I called to apologise and request another appointment. The receptionist told me it was because it had happened before. Aparently their system cant allow for another one to be booked.We have been searching for nhs practice for 3 years.

Negative experience: I had an extremely poor experience at East Street Dental Practice, Barking, last year in 26/5/2022. I should have left a review early but nevertheless its never too late! It was my first dental appointment with them and definitely the LAST one!! Just to let you know i am a qualified health professional myself so not naïve or unaware of the procedures/techniques etc. After a 45 minutes wait, i was called in and really rushed through my examination. The dentist advised an X-Ray. The film provided was visibly too large for the oral cavity and on my asking they said “oh thats what the NHS provides us with!” The dentist and the hygienist were clearly in a rush and did not allow me to help myself or to give me a few minutes to adjust to the entire procedure. The dentist’s technique was so harsh and rough! He hurriedly shoved the film on the side of my mouth and along with the technician being equally unhelpful! That i sustained a laceration to the base of my mouth and the frenulum of my tongue!! I was bleeding from both of these sites when they took out the film from my right side of the mouth! It was extremely painful !!! as the sides of the film are very sharp!! (You could imagine having a sharp paper cut but 10 times more painful! ) I could feel the sharp pain and see notable blood coming out! Both the Dentist and the technician could not notice what they have done!! I still remember the hygienist/ technician just looking at me, unmoved with the amount of bleeding when i asked her for tissue papers to clean the blood! ( it clearly did NOT look like a gum bleed of gingivitis or inflamed gums) They said “ oh this much bleeding is normal” to which i asked them to have a look inside my mouth and “I” had to tell them that they have given me a cut to base of the mouth and to the frenulum of my tongue!!! As i could easily localise the pain! (Frenulum is the fibre at the under surface of the tongue) They then gave me a mirror and i showed to them what they had done! to which the hygienist clearly looked “ freaked out” and the dentist asked her to give me cold water to rinse the mouth. They showed No empathy towards me and i kept pressing at the base of my mouth myself! Their only task now was to me make me go away as soon as possible! as the dentist quickly said 2 conventional ending statements regarding the next appointment and payment!!! An X-Ray is supposed to be a painless, benign investigation!! Not as painful and traumatic as i had to experience at their unskillful hands!! If NHS is giving you bigger films which are not fitting your patients, i think there are pathways in place where you can feedback to them and ask for smaller sizes!! OR maybe trim them a little bit to make them bearable for the miserable patients who come to you for treatment! I sustained an iatrogenic trauma (which was totally avoidable) from your hands while just coming over for a routine check up!! Totally unskillful, and unprofessional. They need to train themselves better before causing people injury. Please Avoid this Dental Practice!!!
