Negative experience: I went to this dentist after having really bad teeth for years due to cancer treatment, they made me feel embarrassed about my mouth, despite me paying for treatment this resulted in me going to a different dentist for my treatment they've been so much better and much more experienced especially with my very complex medical history which I what I need If I could give this dentist a -100 stars I would Never again would I go to this dentist let alone pay for treatment

Negative experience: I unfortunately went to him as a child when he worked at juniper Green. He did work on me that wasn’t necessary and unfortunately now, I’m living with his bad work.

Fantastic experience: Had my tooth removed if was broken off at level of gumline dentist shin lip ying removed it with ease great dentist.

Fantastic experience: A very experienced dentist. I’ve been going to David for about 30 years!! I trust his judgement which says a lot considering I’m a nervous dental patient. I’ve had many treatments over the years and he has managed to keep my teeth in good shape for which I’m very grateful. Dental Hygienists and reception staff are all very professional and helpful. I would recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Went in this afternoon with slight pain, was given appointment for a couple of hours later. Seen David, I am nervous at the dentist, pretty much just the needle part, so David got that bit over and done with quickly, tooth removed, bit fiddly cos it broke, but was painless, pain kicked in later, but nothing paracetamol can't deal with. Next appointment made, sure I will still be nervous, but also sure it will all go well. Thank you again David for saving me from the pain and discomfort of the abscess that was starting to form.

Fantastic experience: My dentist is brilliant. Gentle thorough and wholly professional. His name isO...... He removed my fractured tooth in December and I really appreciated his care as I'm older and hadn't had any teeth removed for nearly 30 years.

Fantastic experience: I'm not the biggest fan of going to the dentist, but I guess no one really is. I am also not the biggest fan of needles. I had to get a filling today and I have to say it was a calm and stress free experience. Auleep is my current dentist and he done an excellent job of explaining all that was going to happen and what he planned to do. I felt at ease and relaxed the entire time. There is a very nice atmosphere in the dentists, all the staff are helpful. I would highly recommend Chong Kwan Dental Care, especially Auleep and the dental nurse (apologies i didnt get your name)who made a fairly nervous patient have a overall enjoyable (as much as a filling can be) experience.

Fantastic experience: Called this morning spoke to a friendly and helpful receptionist told her I was in pain told me to come in at 12.30 went down then for appointment with the dentist who explained what he was going to do from start to finish which made me feel calm and at ease he had to remove my tooth which like most people dread but I didn't feel any pain so from the call this morning and to having my tooth removed it's 5 stars all the way thanks again.

Fantastic experience: A lovely young lady, Shin Ling Yip, what a truly superb dentist. The best dentist I have had in 45 years! So impressed, that my husband is also now a patient.

Negative experience: I left the practice embarrassed over asking simple questions to which I was loudly responded to with "as an NHS patient you really shouldn't complain". I can understand that you are a business but that was quite shocking to me.

Negative experience: Poor experience on 2 counts. Firstly, the female dentist I got took over 2hrs for every treatment appointment - even though they were just for 1 filling a time. This is way too long and uncomfortable such that the anaesthetic wore off!!! Secondly, I got a lengthy treatment plan for nearly £4k (despite attending check ups regularly) but when I sought a 2nd opinion this other dentist took new x-rays and said I needed only 1 filling at £90. Maybe Chong Kwan err on the side of caution for everything but seems a huge difference of opinion to me... I complained and David just fobbed me off to another of his dentists rather than review the treatment plan himself. I also noted he did the age old trick of having me perch down on the dental chair while he stood over me for our chat. A bullying tactic if ever there was one. Was late to see me and as quick as he could get me out. Never looked at my teeth for himself, ie take ownership. From my own experience I could never recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Had a very thorough initial assessment, great explanations of issues and developed a well thought out plan.

Fantastic experience: They are amazing, polite and when you are in need of care they are not going to disappoint. Sure you need to stick to soft food and no sugar drinks for a bit after dental work but that's called DENTAL CARE which is what they are trying to educate you on. The reminder calls about my appointments have been a god send during stressful weeks which can lead a person forgetful. Mr Kwan is beyond amazing.

Positive experience: Nice welcome by receptionist and directed to appointment. Hygienist gave me clear info on my questions re dental plans. The receptionist very helpful on all plans available and informed on the best way forward to complete the process.

Negative experience: I'm going to say a pretty poor experience again after being butchered by the dentist of Baghdad a couple of years ago ( ie ) she removed the filling i recently got it did not need replaced then she could not fix it I had to spend three more appointments with you Dave to get it fixed . I thought it was a one off this time I had to take a day off because they don't do weekends or evenings anymore ? Had my hygienist appointment at 3:20 then we I waited till 4:15 but had to leave cos my car parking was up a little common courtesy just to say they are running late I could want and extend my car parking but he didn't seem to care by the way just book another appointment yes I had to wait 9 months for this one .

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to any dentist for nearly 30 years because of an irrational fear I have. When I found myself needing an extraction, and after reading the reviews I chose to go to Chong Kwan Dental Care. Absolutely amazing, made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and I never felt a thing, nothing. I think my fear of dentists has gone and I'll be keeping up with my dental care. Thank you so much.

Positive experience: I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time but unfortunately the dentist was running late and I had to wait 45 minutes before being seen. My care was excellent but l had to rush away because of parking issues

Positive experience: I think I was probably at the front desk as long as I was in seeing the dentist himself, honestly, I stood at the reception desk for 15 minutes trying to make one other appointment . Need to speed things up there ladies. I did get an apology from Chong Kwan explaining the reason for the delay at the desk - people on sick leave etc. But the staff who were on the desk were really slow.

Fantastic experience: Went with a fractured back tooth. Was in a lot of pain. Was looked after extremely well by all staff members. Was put at ease straight away. Tooth was drilled and refilled. Have never had a bad experience here. Look firward to my next checkup. Thankyou.

Fantastic experience: With the current restrictions in place met at the front door by one of the young receptionists and escorted to reception. The dentist I saw was new to me and initially discussed my general health. This was followed by my examination and a couple of x-rays. Finally my treatment plan was discussed and further appointments made. Overall a good experience which I'm quite happy to recommend.

Positive experience: UPDATE 25/1/22 I have warmed to this practice over my previous comments. I guess I was a bit frustrated during the pandemic at not being able to get to a dentist. David is great and is very good at handling my concerns re pain and the speed at which the injections are done. I had a specific request on that and he listened to me patiently and adapted his procedure to it, which was fantastic. He is friendly and will chat to you while he works. The patient waiting room could perhaps do with a *wee bit* of an upgrade, but this is a minor grumble. The hygienist was also very good and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience with David. I came to him with alot of pain with an upper 6 tooth, in which I had had two different composite fillings, which were causing me severe pain. I had been suffering for many months. He listened to me, he was compassionate, and he got me out of pain. I was very happy that he offered me follow up appointments to check all was OK. I would recommend him. Particularly appreciated that he has a calm and confident manner.

Fantastic experience: Always so polite, welcoming and professional. I have yet to meet someone who makes me feel uncomfortable whilst I am having work done on my teeth. They are gentle and very cautious. Always asking if you're ok and if you're comfortable. As they are probably aware of bad experiences in the past from previous dentists or phobias of dentist tool noises and sensations. But don't worry. These folks are amazing. Without them, I would have lost teeth from being too afraid to take up appointments. Now they're better than ever and it's all thanks to them. They make me smile and my smile is looking better than ever because of you lot! <3

Fantastic experience: Have been to many dentists over the years but this is one of the best. Efficient treatment and dentists make great effort to give relaxing, pain free experience. Needed emergency treatment recently. Own dentist was day off, but was seen same day by other dentist who did full repair not just quick patch-up.

Positive experience: Never keen on going to Dentist but receptionists at Chong Kwan are very polite and helpful, while the Dentist was very gentle and explained what she was doing and what I have to do to keep my teeth and gums in good condition. Did have appointment with Hygienist but they have been furloughed. Surprised to hear this when appointments are hard to get. Next available was 2nd August.

Fantastic experience: Appointment was during Covid restrictions. Reception staff were courteous and informative during my health check, and when at the reception waiting area. The dental care assistant and the dental technician were also courteous and informative. All staff were professional in their approach and made sure my visit was comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I attended my checkup at the end of November 2020. Ann gave me a very thorough inspection of mouth, jaw, neck. She also advised me on suitable cleaning sticks for between the teeth, as the ones I was using would remove food particles but would not help with keeping on top of plaque. Ann helped me to feel very much at ease as I am an extremely nervous patient. I have every confidence in Ann and hope I can continue to be her patient. Thanks Ann Johnston

Fantastic experience: Under the current circumstances our experience was good as it was a hygienist appointment you couldn't get the full service using the scale machine so it had to be a manual scale which was better than notihng at all. Thelma is my normal hygienist but we saw Gillian and she was very good putting g us at ease and talking through everything she was doing.

Fantastic experience: Following an appointment on 21st September, delayed by government decree from 24th March, I have no hesitation in continuing to recommend David Chong Kwan's mission to allow those teeth I have left to remain in my mouth. With skill and determination, he and his team have been successful in that mission for well over 30 years and even the most sensitive of my teeth hope, indeed expect, to be able to bite on my food till the Grim Reaper eventually calls. A mere five stars are barely enough!

Chong Kwan Dental Care has the loveliest and most caring staff I have ever met at a dentists. They give me multiple reminders leading up to appointments, which is great as I have a terrible memory. Positive experience: The members of staff at the reception desk were very pleasant and professional in their undertakings whilst liaising with their patients. Waiting time was very minimal and my appointment time was maintained. The dentist and hygienist were very courteous and professional whilst carrying out their duties and always had my wellbeing as their priority. Treatment was very thorough and carried out efficiently. The only area I found slightly uncomfortable was the cleaning process of my teeth and sensitivity experienced during that process of using the air and water on my sensitive teeth. I have been with this dental surgery for many years and can highly recommend their professional and experienced team to take care of your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for over 4 years now and I recommend them to anybody who asks. My dentist has made me feel very at ease and less anxious from the first day I went. She talked me through any treatment and whilst having it she kept reassuring me everything was okay. This is the only dentist surgery where the dentists don't leave after 6 months or a year like most are and you continsually get another dentist who doesn't know you. 9/10 I have had an appointment with my same dentist. Only on an emergency appointment it has been someone else who has the same nature and I was given a same day appointment so I wasn't left in pain. I have recommended friends and family especially those with anxiety because they take into consideration the patient and the best way to give treatment. Perfect for a Dental Surgery.

Lauren at the High Street practice was fantastic!!!!!. Immediately put me at ease, explaining everything that would be needed and not belittling my fear. Fantastic experience: Hi there! I ended up going to see Lauren Cross at Chong Kwan dental surgery as an emergency patient. I was given the appointment through the dental advice line as I wasn't registered with anyone. I feel so embarrassed to say but I have the most terrible fear of dentists as I've had so many horrendous experiences with other dentists!!! I can well and truly say that Lauren has restored my faith in dentists again! She was so thorough, explained everything fully and totally understood my fear and made me feel totally at ease so much so that I have now registered with the practice and have made an appointment for a check up and will continue to have my teeth checked every 6 months!!
