Fantastic experience: I had treatment yesterday with Dr Greig McLean and cannot recommend him and the staff at the Berkeley Clinic highly enough. I had a 60 minute appointment and can honestly say I felt no pain at all. Each step of my treatment was explained to me by Greig. The fact the clinic has it’s own lab in the building is amazing as staff were able to come down to see me during my appointment. I lay back, relaxed and watched Blue Ocean on the screen above me whilst Greig worked his magic. A five star experience all round

Fantastic experience: I have been terrified of the dentist for many years. I came across the Berkley clinic during Covid when I used google to find dentists that were good with patients with phobias. I came across Mike (Gow). Since then I attend for my check ups & hygienist appointments with far less anxiety. Mike has been great. He is patient & very calm, discussing any treatment every step of the way. I even asked for all my old amalgam black filings to be removed & replaced. Something I would never have done. Kharla the hygienist is excellent also & always checks I’m doing ok throughout my treatment. In fact all the staff are professional, friendly & welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I am currently halfway through my treatment plan and I am feeling really good about my progress. Everyone from Dr Gow, to all of the hygienists, nurses and people on reception have been great and have treated me and my very bad dental anxiety with great care and understanding. I've been put at ease every step of the way and everything has been explained to me. If anyone else is struggling with similar terrible anxiety over their teeth, I can't recommend Berkeley enough!

Fantastic experience: The Berkeley Dental Clinic offers excellent dental care. The combination of attention to dental hygiene from a Debtal Hygienist prior to inspection from a Dentist ensures that the practicalities of maintaining good care of one's teeth are addressed. If treatment is required this is delivered with due care addressing both comfort and long-term impact on maintaining one's teeth which us very reassuring. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: I went there to have botox for my chronic migraines and my experience there was fantastic. The clinician explained everything so thoroughly, she was so knowledgeable and she helped me learn more about what might be impacting my condition and what could help reduce my pain. She was kind and caring and made me feel at ease. I felt cared for and I was assured after care if I experienced any discomfort or side affects. The clinic is first rate, set in an impressive townhouse location. I enjoy seeing Mike, as he always puts the patients needs first, has an enjoyable anecdote to share to take your mind off the dentistry.

Fantastic experience: My experience of the Berkeley Clinic has been great. I have been impressed with the knowledge, care and professionalism of the clinicians who have worked with me regarding an implant. I have medical issues and noted that at each appointment, Grieg has checked for any updates in my condition/medication changes. This has given me confidence. I have worked in infection prevention and control for decades, and I observe practices wherever I receive healthcare. I have been impressed and reassured by the standards of practice in this area at each visit to the Berkeley Clinic. I haven’t finished my treatment plan yet, but am really looking forward to doing so. Going to the dentist can be a really stressful thing, but that is not the case here. Fantastic experience: My 10 yr old daughter had a traumatic experience with another dentist in the NHS, we came to Berkeley Clinic and saw Priya. What an amazing experience from start to finish. Time was taken to get to know my daughter, the procedure was performed with inhalation sedation and my daughter was comfortable with no pain at all, completely different experience. Fantastic experience: As a patient of just shy of 15 years I cannot recommend the Berkeley Clinic highly enough. I hadn’t been near a dentist in 25 years as I had received bad treatment elsewhere so as you can imagine I was a nervous patient. Doctor Mike Gow who specialises in this field put me fully at ease and has been treating me ever since. I also attend the hygienist regularly here and I cannot praise her enough, no name given as if I do I will never be able to get an appointment, selfish I know, but I hope she knows she’s appreciated, so kind and gentle.

The atmosphere at the clinic is relaxing and welcoming and helps to create a stress free experience. The Berkley is definitely the best dental clinic in Scotland.

Fantastic experience: Firstly, let me say that I don’t like dentists but I really love these dentists!! I have had to stop going after many years due to distance and a health issue but every single visit, from the first look in my mouth, a testament to 1950s dentistry, to my last, were unbelievably relaxed and enjoyable. Greig would explain everything in simple understandable language and my regular hygienist, Kharla, made me completely relaxed. My mouth has never felt so good! Would I recommend! You bet I would!!!

Fantastic experience: I first visited the Berkeley Clinic in Feb 25 for an initial check up and returned yesterday for dental work. I have a real fear of the dentist, I would get so upset at the thought of going it would bring me to tears. I even tried diazepam which did not help and I would still be shaking in the chair. To go from that to happily spending over 3 hours in Mike Gows chair yesterday is something I could never have imagined. Mike and his dental nurse were so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Mike took so much time and care over my teeth, making sure everything was perfect. I needed 3 crowns and they were made within a couple of hours which just blows my mind. I have had broken back teeth for years, with another one about to go the same way but because of my fear of the dentist I just couldn’t bring myself to go back - I am so glad I took the plunge and went for it. I felt so comfortable under the care of Mike and his nurse and best of all, my teeth that have been troubling me for 5 plus years are now fixed and I know if I need to have dental treatment in the future I will be able to do so no problem. My treatment was 100% pain free and I am so delighted with everything I had done, cannot recommend enough, especially if you are nervous like I was.

Fantastic experience: I'm writing this review in respect of my treatment at the Berkeley Clinic with Greig McLean, Kharla and Maria. I find all the staff at the Berkeley Clinic to be welcoming, caring and personable, which I wish was true of all medical professions. I have a chronic pain condition, which has in the past only served to fuel my anxiety in receiving any medical treatment but especially that of dental treatment. Greig, Kharla and Maria in their caring and professional approach have done much to allay my fear and anxiety. I'm also highly appreciative of the fact that they all go to great lengths to explain any dental issues I'm presenting with, helping me make a better-educated choice regarding any treatment required and the means by which I can improve my oral hygiene. One regret I have in life is not enlisting the help of the staff at the Berkeley Clinic sooner. I firmly believe had I gained the knowledge I now have, thanks to Greig, Kharla and Maria, and the treatment I have received from them, I could have avoided or at the very least minimised the dental issues that have presented in me over the last few years. So, if you value your smile, oral hygiene and general wellbeing I whole heartedly recommend enlisting the help of the staff at the Berkeley Clinic. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to see my dentist there, Mike Gow, back in 2014, by a friend who, like me, has suffered from a significant "dentist phobia" since my late teens, largely due to several brutal dental experiences back in the 1970s and 1980s. Even the hygienists I suffered at the hands of back in the 70s and 80s were well-trained in oral torture! Thankfully, along with the lovely hygienist Kharla, Mike has helped me to get my phobia to a totally manageable level, where I no longer fear my six-montly check-ups beyond extremely minor anxiety as I enter the building - a totally manageable and understandable remnant of my life-long phobia. Before Mike's sensitive and expert handling, I needed heavy sedation to deal with any dental treatment, as I did initially with Mike. But over the last ten years I have since had two procedures carried out using ordinary local anaesthetic, with minimal emotional distress on my part, especially the second time. Lastly, Mike, Kharla and the rest of the team are simply delightful people. As you can see, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The whole clinic atmosphere is so professional and welcoming you can almost forget you are in a health setting which usually makes people nervous......definitely not so at The Berkeley. Being a Dental Therapist, Kharla not only ensures my mouth maintains the highest hygiene rating, but, her ability also to undertake certain other dental procedures, which she has very successfully done on a few occasions for me, makes her invaluable. Greig..... there are not enough words for me to describe him ! Always the consummate professional and always has such a caring and calming manner. A wisdom tooth removal I had last year, I feel was a walk in the park and definitely nothing like I anticipated, nor like the horror stories you hear about these procedures. Both Kharla and Greig are so gentle, calming and thorough, make you feel like you are the only patient and you are NEVER rushed. While I have focussed on Greig & Kharla, all staff are highly skilled and to be commended. I can not praise The Berkeley Clinic enough.
