Fantastic experience: Our whole family have been seeing Francesca for several years, on a personal level its always lovely to see Francesca, she is just lovely! She takes her time, really listens and does everything with the utmost care. The treatment is always carefully considered no unnecessary add ons, we all trust her opinion completely. Most recently my young daughter, who was incredibly scared went through 3 sessions with Francesca, at the beginning it was very tough getting her into the waiting room, by the third sessions she was smiling, relaxed and calm, completely at ease, we are all delighted. The reception is also lovely too, always very kind and well taken care of.

Fantastic experience: I approached The Practice at Mortlake for advice in relation to an anti snoring mouth guard. I couldn't be happier with the results. Francesca measured my teeth and sourced a guard through a company called Sleepwell. Although the guard itself looks slightly odd, after a few weeks of using it I can say it is comfortable to wear and it is very effective at stopping my snoring. I no longer have any complaints from my wife about my snoring and I'm finding that I am getting a better nights sleep as well. I cannot thank Francesca enough for her hard work which has made a huge difference to my sleep!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I are happy and grateful patients of the excellent Francesca McMahon at the practice. She is calm, kind and attentive, and always explains what she is doing and why in clear and reassuring terms. For us she has skilfully replaced very old fillings, placed crowns, and done repairs to chipped and broken teeth (a peril of our old age), all with the minimum of discomfort, and always with ideal results both functional and cosmetic. We recommend her without reservation.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist, especially for putting you at ease and good at explaining full treatment plans before commencing with any necessary work. Says it all that I haven't had to look for a new dentist after all the years of seeing Francesca McMahon and more than happy with her, the hygienist and the practise in general. Fantastic experience: Francesca McMahon at The Practice is the dentist I wish with all my teeth I'd discovered a lot earlier in life. It took me years to pluck up the courage to leave the dentist I'd seen since I was 9 and when I finally did, in my 50s, I could not have been luckier with my choice. It's a hard choice to make because let's face it, no-one l loves a visit to the dentist. But I can honestly say that Francesca and her hygienist put me at ease, took much better care of my teeth and built my confidence over several years of seeing them. I just wish I'd made the move earlier.

Fantastic experience: I have never had straight teeth. I told myself that it didn’t really bother me but the truth is, it really did. I had adapted by hiding my teeth when I could, especially in photos and when laughing. I knew I didn’t want to wear metal braces. However I decided as a New Year’s resolution for 2024 to sort my teeth out. I came across Dr Francesca’s profile on instagram and saw her before and after photos.….I booked my first appointment with Dr Francesca and have never looked back! Invisalign was absolutely perfect for me as it was both discreet (no one noticed I was wearing them over the 24 week period) and more importantly it didn’t affect the way I speak (I am a teacher). I felt little discomfort, swapping out my old retainers for the new ones. The bonus for me was that Dr Francesca was able to monitor my progress via the Invisalign app which meant I didn’t have to keep travelling down from Suffolk for appointments/checkups. She then finished the treatment with tooth whitening and composite bonding. It was only after straightening my teeth did I see how worn down my teeth had become as a result of my bite. The bonding is amazing - you can’t see the join between the bonding and the tooth (see photo). I would highly recommend Dr Francesca for Invisalign, composite bonding and tooth whitening. I have never wanted to show off my teeth more!

Fantastic experience: Composite Bonding Treatment. I have just come to the end of a long 18mths of Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth. Because of the shape of my teeth and having one removed to make straightening possible I was left with straight teeth but gaps (triangles) between the teeth. My Orthodontist recommended Composite Bonding with Francesca at The Practice. I was hesitant at first , wondering if it would really make a difference. I’m so glad I went ahead! The treatment was so straight forward, way cheaper than vaneers (both to do and after care) and you see the results immediately after the treatment. I now have the teeth I always wanted :) Francesca is amazing and is so skilled at the treatment. I can’t recommend her highly enough. I will try and post the before and after photos so you can see the results for yourself.

Fantastic experience: This is an exceptional dental practice. A year ago I was faced with having 4 teeth removed, have some bone grafting, 2 implants and a bridge. Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn’t recommend a dentist more highly, particularly if you are someone who would prefer pretty much anything to dental appointments! Fantastic experience: I would recommend Francesca McMahon and the Practice at Mortlake. Francesca is a brilliant dentist who has been looking after my family for several years. Her manner and style always soothes and instills confidence - essential to keeping nervous patients like me calm. She is proactive too - recently when I was in extreme pain and about to go on holiday, Francesca was able to get me a referral and appointment within hours with a specialist for root canal work. The subsequent crown fitting was done speedily too by her, enabling me to enjoy a pain free holiday. Francesca leads a wonderful team at the Practice, and is ably assisted by Sara and supported by excellent hygienists too - looking after all your dental needs efficiently and effectively.

Fantastic experience: I saw Francesca McMahon’s “before and after” photos on Instagram and they were exactly what I wanted - perfect but natural looking teeth! After having used Invisalign to straighten my teeth Francesca did composite bonding on some of my teeth to improve the shape of them. Fantastic experience: I had several treatments done with Francesca McMahon the latest being Invisalign and I was always really happy with the result. For Invisalign it took a lot less than I thought it would (basically the timeframe was exactly as I was told) and I was shocked myself at the difference it made looking at the the before/after photos. Francesca followed me step by step and I always felt in safe hands, it was actually a lot easier than I thought to get used to the treatment and I only wish I had done it sooner! The package includes whitening/vivera retainers etc so there are zero hidden costs. Francesca as my dentist and Natalie as my hygienist are excellent and I really reccomend this practice!

All the staff are welcoming and caring and make dental appointments a pleasure. Francesca McMahon is gentle and unhurried - always explains what she is doing and ensures that the patient is comfortable throughout the treatment. Fantastic experience: Nick and Natalie and the rest of the team at the Practice at Mortlake have always provided me with a terrific service. I have been a patient since day 1 and they have really helped with my routine and provide just about pain free treatment when fillings etc are required, and do not "over treat". I receive good advice and they are appropriately tough with me if I am not maintaining my cleaning regime - which I need. In addition they have been excellent at seeing me at short notice if something needs to be checked. I highly recommend them.

I completely trust the advice and care given, whether just for a check up or for a procedure. Every step is explained clearly and tailored to my needs. Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend The Practice at Mortlake more highly. I first moved to use them when I was living locally but since moving (8 years ago) I still go back from over 30 mins away. I am a very nervous dental patient having had some unpleasant experiences and am needle phobic. Both Nathalie (hygienist) and Nick (dentist) handle me with care and actually manage to make it a pleasant experience. They have a wonderful balance between professional and friendly and I would not willingly move to another dentist.

Francesca McMahon is exactly what a dentist should be - highly skilled and efficient, and incredibly kind and caring with patients (especially nervous ones like me). Fantastic experience: I have just finished my invisalign treatment with Francesca McMahon and I am absolutely thrilled. I was always a bit nervous going to the dentist as I didn't like my teeth before and I was just embarrassed about them, especially as I did have braces as a child. Fantastic experience: We have been attending the Practice as a family of 5 for years. All the kids - aged 18, 15 and 12 are happy to see Nick who has such a calming and engaging as well as humorous way with them that puts them all at ease despite their nervousness. He is also an excellent dentist. We also see Natalie the hygienist who also has an extremely reassuring way about her. Between Nick and Natalie - i have finally overcome my deep rooted phobia and not passed it on to the children.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending The Practice for 7 years or so now and continue to do so even though I have move further out of London. I see Natalie and Francesca who do a great job. I make a point of seeing Natalie every 12 weeks or so and she does an excellent job keeping my teeth in good shape. All staff are very friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: A news item about the crisis in NHS dental provision caused by Covid-19 prompts me to offer a big THANK YOU to The Practice at Mortlake for their work over the past 18 months. I don't know anything about dentistry, but I can recognise a well run business when I see one and The Practice at Mortlake is really excellent. Bravo! Indeed bravissimi! They have lots of modern equipment to hand (plus access to specialists' resources if need be) and seem to be expert in its use, taking a pride in being up to date with their professional development. Detailed plans for treatment are drawn up in advance, together with the costs involved, so there are no nasty surprises when it comes to paying up. Frankly, this is no more than one would expect. But for me what lifts The Practice at Mortlake above the ordinary is the positive, can-do, will-do attitude of the people who work there. They clearly enjoy their jobs and enjoy working as a well organised team, combining friendliness with efficiency, informality with respect, from the moment the receptionist welcomes you in. During the course of some 20 visits stretched out by the pandemic over a period of 18 tedious months I have had much opportunity to observe the team in action. Fancying implants, I had a consultation with Dr Nick Benger who showed me the evidence, explained why it meant implants were not a sensible option (not enough bone in my jaw!), answered my every question with unhurried clarity and charged me nothing for his time. I was most impressed. So it was back to my regular dentist, Dr Francesca McMahon, in February 2020 for a denture. Dr McMahon is a gifted communicator, meticulously careful and caring: I felt very safe in her hands all through the horrors of the pandemic and my biggest THANK YOU goes to her. I imagine my less than glorious dental history (jaw and teeth broken in 1967, 37 years of extractions, fillings and upper dentures - replaced with brilliant bridge-work by Dr Boursin in 2005) gave Francesca a tricky problem to solve, but solve it she did. Photos, X-rays, impressions, caps, crowns, Rhein attachments: you name it, she did it and I am now the proud owner of a handsome, comfortable and efficient denture. I hope my appreciation of The Practice at Mortlake is evident. At my age I make no apology for placing a high value on the esprit de corps which turns the expected into the exceptional. The proof of the pudding is in the eating they say, and now I am getting on with plenty of eating. Crispin Collier.

Francesca is patient and nurturing. Taking check ups at the child’s pace, ensuring they are comfortable each step of the way. When being treated, Francesca explains what she is doing and why, putting children and parents at ease. My daughter, skips into see Francesca, for a check up. Fantastic experience: It cannot always be said that going to the dentist is a "fun" experience but Francesca does her very best to make it so. Her cheery manner linked to obvious professionalism give me total confidence. She (with her nurse Zahera) always give a warm welcome. I have been with the practice for about 4 years now and have had a filling and a crown as well as check-ups. The process has been seamless and I am delighted by the service which I have received.

Fantastic experience: Firstly, I would ask anyone to please read all previous comments as anything I could add would tend to be repetition? But, I would just add that if you are nervous about dental procedures or you think it will be painful or problematic, please come to the Practice at Mortlake. From the first time you enter the practice you just know that everything will be alright. Lovely Flossy is there to greet you and from then on the professional but incredibly friendly attention you will receive means any dental procedures really are quite bearable and thoroughly explained? Special mention in dispatches for Lovely Natalie Dolling a very thorough hygienist with an eye for procedural details and for equally lovely Francesca McMahon who manages to make even bad news seem fun!? Everything they undertake is done with the utmost care and attention to detail plus their covid procedures are very thorough and appreciated. Fantastic experience: I have been using this dental practice for around 9 years, and have been completely happy with their helpful treatment. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I see Francesca as my dentist and my hygienist is Natalie. They are both very skilled at their jobs. Francesca is an exceptional dentist . You know if you need treatment you really do need it and you are fully included in any decision to carry out any treatment needed. They are both very good at giving advice and happy to answer questions if you have any. Luckily Natalie makes my teeth feel super clean after my visit. It has felt safe even visiting during covid . I highly recommended this dental practice. In fact I have recommended them to both my adult children and they are both also treated by these two caring professionals for all their dental needs. The reception staff are always happy to help print my next appointments ( I always need the reminder to add to my calendar) and I also get a receipt from them to claim back from my insurance policy which they have always been helpful printing for me. I love the reminder call or text I get to help not miss appointments. I don't usually leave feed back, so I hope this helpful to any reader of this information.

Fantastic experience: The team at The Practice at Mortlake are exceptional. I’ve been attending for 20 years or so and every incarnation of the Practice has been excellent, with the current team the best yet. From Flossy at reception, to Nick and Clare (dentist and dental nurse who look after me), Natalie (my hygienist) and all the other members that you engage with during a visit, the level of professionalism, care, expertise and advice is of the highest quality. You can be 100 per cent confident that when a procedure is recommended, it is necessary. There is never any push for anything that is not essential and required now. Plus the atmosphere within the Practice (friendly, engaged, personal) makes every visit a genuine pleasure. Throughout the pandemic, with the obvious difficulties that has posed for the team, the duty of care and attention to detail has been faultless, while at the same time managing to maintain the open, happy, caring character that is the hallmark of the Practice. Highly highly highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We have been attending this dental practice in its various forms for over 40 years. Mark Bowes, Nick's predecessor, set very high standards of dental care and when he returned to South Africa we were naturally concerned as to the future. However, we need not have worried as from the start Nick exceeded all our expectations. Nick and his entire team including Natalie, the Hygienist, and Michelle, the Practice Manager, all work together with empathy and efficiency to provide first class dental care. Patients are fully involved in all decisions regarding treatment. Nick takes time to explain everything clearly and more importantly is always readily available to offer support and advice and this is greatly appreciated. The welcoming, friendly and caring atmosphere at the surgery does much to reassure the most apprehensive patients. This is a superb dental practice that we would not hesitate to recommend.

I have been under her care for the last 3 years or so and despite being a nervous patient, she has always put me at my ease. She is also brilliant with little ones - my 3 year old daughter who was very wary about the prospect of going to the dentist ended up thoroughly enjoying the whole experience! I also visit Natalie (the hygienist) who I couldn't recommend more highly. All in all is it a wonderful practice.

Fantastic experience: Francesca and the team at the practice have looked after our family so well for several years. She fills us with confidence due to her thoroughness. This is partly because she is so attentive (and enthusiastic) to the finer detail. Francesca is also very clear and practical in her advice to prevent problems and conscientious about treatment costs.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Nick Benger since before he took over the practise in Barnes when he was one of the excellent team of dentists employed by British Airways. I very much value the fact that he is always abreast of the latest advances in dental technology and practices as well as the highly professional and welcoming service he and his team offer. His hygenist Natalie is also excellent. It goes with out saying that a visit to Nick will be painless and enjoyable and in serene surroundings. My only complaint is that he doesn't accept American Express.

Fantastic experience: I visit Natalie (the Hygienist) every 3 months for a regular check & clean. Natalie is absolutely fantastic, always doing an amazing job on my teeth and keeping them in check. Everyone at the practice is really friendly & welcoming, and the practice itself is a real pleasure to attend. I would recommend it to anyone!
