Negative experience: 1★ – Horrible policy for cancellation! If you’re looking for a dental practice that values compassion, professionalism, and patient care… this is not the place. I booked a same-day emergency appointment while in unbearable pain, but when I couldn’t attend because I was too unwell to even dress myself, I was told I’m now being refused to ever be booked in as a patient. The reason? I “missed” two appointments one 1 year and 2 months ago (yes, apparently they keep grudges longer than most exes) and yesterday’s emergency booking. I offered to pay a cancellation fee, but was told it’s they only charge sometimes “at their discretion.” Instead, the customer service manager informed me that I’ll be removed from they patient list beyond I’m “not valuable” to the practice because I’m not a long-term patient and “don’t spend enough.” How refreshing to know that, in their world, your worth as a patient is measured by your wallet, not your medical needs. I’m an international client who visits. The dentist Zack is wonderful kind, skilled, and respectful but sadly the reception team and manager were dismissive, condescending, and completely lacking empathy. They even ignored the fact that my earlier calls went to voicemail and I had a genuine medical reason for not showing up. If you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience rather than a human in pain, this might be your dream dentist. For everyone else, I’d recommend finding a practice that actually believes all business is good business and that basic decency still matters. These people are more concerned in enforcing an impractical policy than attracting good business and customer satisfaction. I’m only in Sonning because I am the gulf stream pilot. I am not a time waster I am genuine.

The reception staff are friendly and welcoming, the lounge area exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the dentists and hygienists are approachable, unassuming and kind, and at the same time extremely professional, knowledgeable amd skillful. He is still with the Dentistry but my understanding is that he is moving to a new field, and I want to take this opportunity to wish him all the success in his new endeavours. A few days ago I had my first appointment with a different Dentist. He was approachable, kind and welcoming, making me feel at ease right away. But also extremely proficient, highly competent, knowledgeable and skillful. And the hygienist. Always friendly, inviting and warm, and consistently attentive, careful, methodical and thorough. As I said before, I will continue attending the Dentistry for the years to come. Very highly recommended.

Update after root canal work by James: Careful, professional service continues at this dentistry. Good explanation of procedures, good visual assistance plus assured technique combined to make this a long but relatively pain-free visit. I have always found this practice to be helpful, professional and friendly. I have been a patient here for many years, and they work wonders with the remains of my teeth. The current hygienist/dentist combination that I have, I find particularly good for me. The hygienist gently chides and reminds me what I should be doing each day and I try to maintain the regime for as long as possible before the next visit. The dentist (Dipesh) is brilliant and always sorts out my dental problems in a calm and knowledgeable way before we have a good chat about photography. >>Just a quick 2021 update. Had toothache problems over the weekend. I was seen quickly by Rhiannon who identified the problem and clearly laid out the steps in its solution as she went along. Wonderful service as ever. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Wood Lane Dentistry as long as I can remember Vikram Chagrani looks after my teeth and has been my dentist for many years. I have a fear of the dentist like a lot of people, but with Viks manner you can be assured with his calmness, gentle and not rushed way. I have had many treatments here which have included extractions, fillings, crowns and the ‘dreaded’ root canal work but with Vik none of it feels traumatic. He is by far one of the best dentists in the UK ( certificates in practice prove this !) I travel from Dorset for my treatment here.

The hygienist was very thorough and gentle and one of the best I have ever had. Now I have just seen Zak for my first routine dental check-up, and he was also excellent - both friendly and professional and very informative. An excellent practise altogether including the reception staff who are always very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I had a successful route treatment, as the pain was gone on the following day and able to chew from the side. The time taken to complete the process was amazing and I was involved on every stage. The process was performed by a dentist who has passion and pride of his work and the assistant was great to.

Fantastic experience: Have a problem with an impacted wisdom tooth and some isolated gum disease. Jess is absolutely superb at explaining what the long term problems will actually be. I now understand what I need to do, and she has referred me to a Periodonist. This has been an ongoing problem for quite some time. I now really feel like I understand what is happening / going to happen. Cannot recommend this practice enough
