Negative experience: If I could rate it lower I would Worst dentist practice I have ever been to. Most of the receptionists there are rude and make you feel stupid if you ask them any questions. The dentist was supposed to do a root canal for me but she couldn’t even get to the tooth bc apparently my jaw is not replaced right all other dentist have worked on my tooth just fine The dental assistant however was really nice and kind she made sure I was comfortable. And not to forget I have called them to get my X-rays sent to me and they told me to send an email as proof I have asked for them than I will get them. Than I waited for a day no reply so I called again the next day and they said they will talk for the dentist as they can’t access and they will call me back I didn’t get a call back so I had to call again and she said I had to wait 40 days?? I told her it was urgent but she didn’t care I know how clinics work it doesn’t take 40 days to access X-rays they just don’t wanna do their jobs. Hated my experience there never going there again!

Negative experience: I was removed from the patient registry without any prior notice, and there was no consideration given to the impact of COVID restrictions. When I called to explain my situation and ask for guidance, the receptionist abruptly ended the call instead of offering assistance. I’d like to clarify a few things regarding my situation. At the time of my last appointments, there were still COVID-related restrictions in place, along with changes to my work schedule, which meant I had to move some of the dates. Your reception team were very understanding and accommodating about this at the time, and I appreciated their flexibility. However, I was never informed that my registration could be removed or that I needed to rebook within a certain timeframe to remain on the patient list. Had I received any such warning, I would have arranged to attend as soon as possible. What’s most disappointing is that when I recently called to explain and ask for guidance, the receptionist ended the call abruptly instead of offering any advice or support. Regardless of policy, I don’t believe that’s how patients should be treated, especially after being with the practice for several years. Hi Vanessa, I have looked into this for you and I can see from our records you last attended an appointment with us in 2022 in which you cancelled 3 treatment appointments following this visit. We contacted you to offer to rebook this appointment, you explained you would contact us to reschedule when convenient for you. On two occasions dental recalls were also sent to you via text at the end of 2022, you failed to respond. Unfortunately, after three points of contact we are under no obligation to prompt you to attend for regular 6 month appointment, which are required to maintain your registration. As for COVID restrictions, your last visit was 2 years post COVID. If you would like to discuss further, please contact our reception team. Thank you!

He is such a caring person, if you have any concerns he goes out of his way to make you comfortable, he's very good at his job and happy to explain how you can improve your dental hygiene. I've been with Lawrence for around 2 years now, my teeth have seen the benefit of that. I'd highly recommend if you need help or advice to get an appointment with him.

Negative experience: PLEASE SEE IMAGE BRIBED ME TO REMOVE THIS REVIEW FOR MY REFUND I sent 2 queries regarding the fact I’m on the NHS list and you are charging full price to people and it needs resolving no one bothered to get back to my first one so I resent one still heard nothing back and then was advised that there’s a hygienist and a dentist and they basically choose whenever they want to charge you full price or not (not stable and helpful for anyone in NHS) what do you really think they are going to choose on every occasion UPDATE They are not understanding and not sorry more on the argumentative side and are ok with putting NHS patients under pressure and being fully willing to have you cancel appointments not letting you know it’s meant to be free because and avoid dentist for fees you can’t afford manager is only in 2 days quick with responses but not really useful responses as they are more argumentative and “we did it right” responses also now is basically saying if you do t do me a favour and take this down then I won’t refund you cancelled my appointment for tomorrow because I asked for my money back from the misadvise and now they’ve taken their response down to this review wonder why
Negative experience: I would avoid this place. Every time I arrive I don’t get seen till at least 10-20 minutes after with a couple time being 30-45 minutes, regardless of who I am seeing. I was late once (usually 10-20 minutes early, occasionally just on time), and they were unable to see me. Arrived at 10:11 and they have a 10 minute leeway. I called up and informed them due to temporary traffic lights I would be running slightly late. Funny thing, the receptionists were chatting and didn’t speak to me till until 10:15. Honestly, not worth the stress. Think I’m done at this point lol. I will be registering elsewhere in hopes of better service. As good as the dentists are, it’s best to find somewhere that would be more accommodating and understanding.

Negative experience: I signed up as a new patient as they are close to my house. I booked my initial appointment as I was in a lot of pain and was hoping the dentist would come up with a good solution to fix the tooth and get me out of pain however as soon as I was seen, I was told I had to pull the teeth out and place an implant. The dentist didnt even take the time to have a proper look in my mouth and find out what the problem was. As I was hesitant to pull the teeth out, I was prescribed with some anti biotics and they even forgot to stamp my prescription. Fast forward, I decided to see another dentist and I was told a root canal treatment would work with 90% success rate. I did the root canal and I have not had any issues with it. I got the impression that the dentist didn’t care about my tooth and just wanted to pull the teeth out and charge me £3500 for an implant. It’s important to built trust with patience and exercise moral duties as a private dentist and not just think about money.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr. Ussama Butt and the team. They did an excellent job cleaning my teeth, and everything was explained clearly throughout the process. During my next visit, he took a 3D scan to create custom trays for teeth whitening. I picked up the trays and whitening solution at the following appointment, and everything fit perfectly. The whole process was smooth, and I’m really happy with the way things were done. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Avoid This Dental Practice – Poor Service & Unfair Policies I've been a patient at this dental practice for over eight years, having visited both its previous location near Debenhams and the current one in St. Anne's Square. Unfortunately, my experiences here have consistently declined, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. The reception staff lack professionalism, often responding in a robotic, scripted manner without genuinely listening to patients. It's not just a one-time occurrence, many other reviews reflect the same issues, including unanswered calls and abrupt hang-ups when raising concerns. My personal journey has been frustrating, starting with a botched root canal attempt during COVID. After enduring months of pain and waiting for an appointment, the first nurse admitted she lacked the expertise to continue the procedure. I was then booked with a more experienced nurse, who later informed me that the practice lacked the necessary equipment. I was left with no option but to seek urgent private care, despite initially relying on the NHS service. More recently, I had an appointment for a hygiene treatment that was scheduled six months in advance, during the Easter break week. As a full-time student managing deadlines, I would have greatly benefited from a simple reminder. However, the practice failed to send any confirmation or notification. Yet, when I missed the appointment, I immediately received a £30 penalty charge. Their booking system feels designed to fail patients, while many businesses today send automated reminders, this practice avoids them entirely, seemingly to maximise penalty fees. When I called to explain my situation, the receptionist refused to consider my circumstances. They stated that I must pay the penalty to return as a patient and even hung up on me. Upon calling back, there was no apology, only another vague assurance that I would receive a call on Thursday…. Naturally, that never happened. If you value professionalism, proper patient care, and a fair booking system, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This practice lacks empathy and accountability, treating patients more like financial opportunities than individuals seeking healthcare.

Fantastic experience: Been a customer here for about 8 years now. Excellent practice, always really friendly and welcoming staff & have always been accommodating when required. Just had a few fillings at once, thank you to Willow & Kirsty who turned what should have been an unpleasant experience, into a great one, with laughter and much numbness. Fantastic experience: As soon as Philippa Simons had finished rebuilding a broken filling, my first words were "that was an amazing experience!" I couldn't have been more honest. This was my first visit to the dentist in a VERY LONG time due to circumstances, and also i was absolutely terrified because of the last time i went. I believed the tooth was toast and just needed to come out, but she saved it to fight another day. Every aspect of the visit could not have been better. And even though going to the dentist isnt supposed to be a fun day out, the staff made it a close run race :) So glad i found a dental practice i actually want to go.

Negative experience: I would more likely recommend to visit another dentistry. It was not pleasant experience on each step. Be ready to wait a month for an urgent appointment and call everyday to check for cancellations. No one by the front desk is bothered to invite you for a treatment in such case. No one also is able to send you x-rays, doctors are not answering for queries. After all, they are rude. Excuse me, but you're not making a favour while providing paid services. I expect competitive level of service while paying competitive price. Are you not?

Fantastic experience: I’m the most nervous of patients and avoided the dentist for years after a horrible experience as a child with a dentist who, thankfully, is no longer allowed to practise. That left me with an irrational fear that’s stuck with me ever since, so I have avoided the dentist for most of my adult life. From the moment I explained this to Dr Phillipa Simons and her hygienist, they couldn’t have been more understanding. They took everything at my pace, reassured me throughout, and treated me like a person, not a problem to fix. Even though I needed some fairly lengthy treatment, they made it feel manageable. No pressure, no judgement. I genuinely feel like they’ve helped me take back control—and I never thought I’d say that about going to the dentist.

Negative experience: They seem to only be after your money! Everytime I've gone in they've tried to upsell me! They even refused part of my NHS treatment - they wouldn't do a clean and scale as they kept insisting I go to the hygienist (I've never needed the hygienist) even after I informed them I wasn't going to make an appointment. They also send emails that seem designed to scare you into making extra appointments, urgent ones that read as though you'll be in trouble if you don't get certain treatments - "your dentist needs to speak to you urgently about your treatment" type of wording. They are not interested in the standard service for NHS patients, they just want to get you in and out as quick as possible and unless you argue to get the treatments you are entitled to as a patient (2 x-rays a year, check up, and clean and polish each time) they will be very unlikely to give it to you. You're almost better off not having a dentist than going to these money grabbing scare mongerers. I'm glad I've managed to swap dentists!

Negative experience: I recently moved and visited a new practice. I was told and shown via x ray that a filling had been overfilled and needed to be removed and re-filled and that I did not need a filling where Usamma Butt had told me one was required. The overfilled filling would have been done over a year ago, x rays since at MDP and he did not recommend to correct the filling despite there being no gap between two of my teeth. The last fillings I had at MDP resulted in me having TMD and being in pain for a few weeks. I have not experienced this at my new practice. The manner you are spoken to as a patient at MDP can be rude at times and I personally would not recommend this dentist. That said, the hygienists are all very professional and friendly.

Negative experience: Shame, i called in to book an appointment for 10:40 (the receptionist put down all my information). When i got there the receptionist seemed to be confused and couldn't find anything, she asked me to provide her with more details and fill a health form until i get called in. 45 min passed while I was waiting, people came after me and left before me. I eventually approached the other receptionist again, pointing out the unnecessary long wait, seemed confused and got me in within 5 min. Staff was friendly and apologetic, but there is a clear lack of communication, and maybe skills in managing appointments too. I thought its just me but after reading the reviews i am surprised how common this is. And before you reply to my review; it is not a coincidence when it happens that often, it is not a misunderstanding where there was no place for a misunderstanding, and no it is not because you were "very busy" as there was 3 people waiting other than me for the majority of time i was there, until it got busy.

Fantastic experience: My dentist Mr Saleem is a very professional, articulate, positive and extremely helpful person. He has given me a service above and beyond expectations!! I have had unfounded fears of dentistry for a while and he has been patient and sensitive. The whole practice performs with a top level of professionalism - it's why I travel into Manchester from out of the area for my appointments here. I shall continue to use this practice with reservation.
Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient I’m always worried before a visit to the dentist and hygienist and today was no exception. I was greeted warmly by the hygienist who put me at ease straight away and talked through the procedure explaining what she was doing and that I was okay. The aftercare was given in a clear manner and all my fears were alleviated after the visit. The receptionists are always so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Patient : Kamran Akhtar I must compliment Manchester Dental Practice and Dr Asif Saleem and colleagues on how they have totally perfected my smile within 16 weeks! Being a nervous dental patient (I'm terrified of needles and injections), I've never thought about getting extra work done to perfect my smile even though I'm known as being a person who smiles a lot! However, a chance encounter whilst out and about highlighted that with Invisalign, in vast majority of cases there would be no need for injections! And that started me on this process. I spoke to a friend who suggested Dr Saleem and Manchester Dental Practice, and within 16 weeks of the first aligner, my smile has totally changed for the better. I cannot believe that within 16 weeks, my smile has been totally transformed as there were a lot of teeth that were out of alignment! Dr Saleem and his colleague's amazing work was very successful! The overall Invisalign process was totally painless, there was very slight and minimal discomfort when putting in and taking out the aligners, that's because the aligners apply pressure to move the teeth. They also gave me tips on how to put in and take out the aligners (which can be tricky at first). But the discomfort was more than manageable. Dr Saleem and team would see me every 4 weeks and ensure that the treatment was working as expected. My family and friends said that there's no way I could smile more, but I think since completing the Invisalign treatment, I think I am smiling more! I can't believe the massive change and transformation that my teeth have undergone in the last 16 weeks, my teeth look so much better, and my family and friends have even commented on how good they look! I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Asif Saleem and Manchester Dental Practice with respect to Invisalign treatment. My advice, if you're thinking about it, arrange an appointment and have a chat, to see if Invisalign is right for you. And if you feel that you have the financial ability, then go for it. That's what I did, and I can honestly say I don't regret it one bit! Once again, thank you Dr Saleem and Manchester Dental Practice for perfecting my smile.
Negative experience: “I have been a patient at this dental clinic for a long time, but without giving me any notice or warning, they removed me from their patient list, even though I have a tooth that is still in pain. They had started a root canal treatment on that tooth, but it’s still painful. Their excuse for removing me was that I had made a short notice cancellation, even though I had to cancel due to a serious situation that arose.”
Positive experience: Not very flexible for new patients, and they require you to 1st pay for a check-up and then pay for an additional full dental plan before you're able to register, which wasn't explained upfront and felt a little scammy when compared to my previous experiences when registering with a dentist. The range is limited from an NHS perspective unless going with their private plans, and these plans aren't as competitive other dentists. After my visit, I asked them to remove from their system and was able to get a same day booking and register at another nearby dentist with a more competitive offering and flexibility on a patient by patient basis. The dentist and reception staff were very friendly, but I wouldn't feel comfortable recommding their services as a whole.
Jahnico. We understand your frustration. At the same time you should also look at the situation from our prospective. Numerous patients who aren’t already registered at the practice have made appointments in the past but failed to turn up. This allocated time could have been used to see patients requiring dental treatment. Asking for a booking fee minimises lost appointment time. Hope you can appreciate our position on this.
Negative experience: I had my teeth polished, and it wasn’t to the same standard as I’ve received at other practices. I visit the hygienist annually and the polish has always been effective in removing light tea staining that I get in between my bottom teeth. However, the stains are still there which suggest that those areas were not polished very effectively. I got in touch about this and they tried to sell me a different treatment initially! And then told me to email them (FYI the email address on their website kept bouncing, so they have a random hotmail). They never responded. Do not recommend.
Negative experience: Guys I understand your reply, but there was not misunderstanding there. You cancelled my appointment 2 times while I had a tooth infection. Then tried to blame me. You never called my phone. And surely I never replied. So I am happy you are really busy, but accept the fact you cannot cope with it! Went there for the first time for an emergency all good, they gave me antibiotics and another appointment to see what was wrong. Gave me an appointment for 1 week later, went to the appointment and the lady couldn’t find my data, after one hour (of me waiting ) they said they cancelled my appointment and they try to call-me ( statement not true as I never received any calls). Had an appointment today, I had to call them to cancel it, the lady rude-answer was: “We cancelled your appointment as you didn’t come to your last one” I obviously said that was impossible and explained the situation. She checked with her Colleague which said “ yeah he came to the appointment, but I tried to call him 30 minutes after (again not true) to give him an appointment at 11.30 on the same day, said I did reply confirming the appointment and just didn’t bother going. Use-full to say that on that day I was in the studio until 12? Last words she said, if you cancel today we won’t give you another appointment! Great customer service guys, keep going!!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently attended as a new patient and was very impressed by the level of care I received. I am a nervous patient due to previous experiences at the dentist however everyone there couldn't have been kinder to me. The reception staff are extremely friendly both over the phone and in person and very willing to help you. Dr Mariam and her nurse Saira did everything they could to put me at ease during my appointment and explained everything. Genuinely couldn't recommend this dentists enough and can't thank them enough for their care

Negative experience: Scammers Beware!! I have never in my life had a dentist with such terrible customer service skills Recently I have had trouble getting a denture to be fitted correctly that looked out of place, Dr Saleem was made aware of my concerns about it but didn’t seem to be bothered. So I booked my next appointment for six months later and went home with a poorly fitting denture. I was polite to staff and Dr Saleem all the time I was there and have never ever been rude. I do recall making a poor review which I later remade as a good review because they called my review unfair! Lol but tbh that is whole point of reviews, it’s a way customers can give you fair feedback from someone’s experience in your dental practice. So take notes. Here I was thinking I’m set for an appointment in December but I was having some dental problems this week so had to call in to see if I could get an appointment. To my shock and horror they tell me that they have sent me a letter in June (a letter I definitely did not receive)and they have discharged me as a patient because of “communication breakdown” I then questioned why this has happened to the receptionist who then passed the phone to a very rude colleague who said she was “looking for it”….and I said why am i discharged? This is wrong you’re driving me nuts and she responded “well don’t speak to me then” and hung up the phone I tried to call back numerous times to have them hang up!!! To say I was disgusted is an understatement Also if I had not called up they could have covered themselves by the 2 months notice policy with their “letter” I never received sneaky people and the worst customer service I have ever experienced I will be taking this further to the British dental health foundation as I don’t believe you should be allowed to just discharge patients for your own personal hatred of someone who made a bad review especially a patient with a chronic illness that affects his teeth because of immune suppressant medication he has to take, who is between surgeries and has enough on his plate right now!!! Really made me sad because i didn’t ever have a communication breakdown with anyone. If a dentist didn’t like my review you could have switched dentist But you did the dirty and discharged me with no actual notice whatsoever Your pathetic “ill send you another one” when I told you I did not receive your letter Showed your lack of respect for me as a human being and a patient Highly narcissistic and I’m glad to be finding a new dentist soon so I don’t have to deal with such poor customer service. My honest opinion of the dentists here Well there is a man with Butt in his name who is the worst dentist I have ever met, I changed him to Dr. Saleem because of his lack of customer care. To now have Dr. Saleem do some dirty on me because he rushed my dentures and they didn’t fit right Both useless as what they present themselves as. Do not waste your time going here, they were only ever good way back when they had a practice near to market street, (yes I have been with these guys for a while!) the conditions were poor but the dentists there were nicer, unfortunately the receptionist staff have always been rude and they transferred them all to the new practice here which is aesthetically pleasing but staff need to get a grip and stop taking a review so personal and abusing your position to discharge me for making one. Highly unprofessional as you should be open to all reviews especially the bad ones that are as fair as humanly possible without swearing.

Negative experience: Today my wife took my children to have their teeth checked, while the dentist was checking my daughter she asked him how often does he brush his teeth? my wife answers him 1-2 times a day, and the dentist in a rude tone started telling my wife: dentist, you have to have your teeth brushed twice a day, I already told her that the other time in a rude tone .My wife replies to him that every now and then she forgets to have them brushed twice a day because she is very busy with work and home, dentist replies to me it doesn't matter if she is very busy she has to brush her teeth twice a day. Then my wife begins to get annoyed by the dentist's behavior, my daughter understood the situation and started crying. Then my wife takes the children and leaves, I think this is no way to treat patients, I was very shocked.

Negative experience: Unprofessional reception that seem not to be interested in supporting NHS patients. Called for registering with NHS twice and kept being told we are busy with other calls to be doing NHS registrations call us following day. Called back following week to only be told they are not taking more patients for two more weeks.
Mohammed, we have limited NHS funding which unfortunately is beyond our control. It is unreasonable that you left an unfavourable review without even being a patient at the practice!

Negative experience: I'd broken my back tooth. 111 sent me there I seen Dr Asif saleem at King Court 2-4 Exchange Street Manchester M2 7HA. He didn't X Ray the situation. Or clean it . He just put a filling on it. I was in his room 5 minutes. Tue 27 fed. 11 o'clock. I was very unsatisfied with the treatment. And the fact that he didn't clean it. if I get an infection. I'll be sueing Manchester Dental practice. For negligence. And positive racial discrimination against the mental health patient. M.C.A. the Manchester artist and poet. Tus 27 of February.

You were seen as an emergency only and you are not a patient of this practice. The broken tooth has been cleaned and sealed with a semi permanent restoration.
All exposures to radiation have to be justified and in your case there was no need for any unnecessary exposures.There was categorically no discrimination of any sort that took place. We are sorry you feel this way.

Fantastic experience: The staff at MDP were amazing. I had Invisalign treatment and to say I am ecstatic with the results is an understatement.!! I never thought I would get the finished result without any extractions but my wonderful dentist, Asif assured me it was possible and he monitored progress on a monthly basis. There was only very minor discomfort which didn’t impact me at all. I only wish I had done it years ago. Special mention for Leanne too who was so reassuring and very knowledgeable and if I had any questions they were answered efficiently. It is true to say that I have now found a practice where I will be going to for the foreseeable. Thank you Asif and Leanne x

Fantastic experience: Dr Willow is my go-to dentist and has been available for last minute appointments every time. If I have any pain she’s quick to respond to messages with advice and if needed she’ll book me in for an appointment straight away. Not only does she look after my teeth fantastically, she’s also done lip fillers and Botox on me too. 10/10 experience every time. If I arrive nervous, I’m quickly put at ease by Dr Willow and her fantastic nurse Kirsty. The rest of the staff are always very friendly and welcoming too. The best dental practice that I’ve joined!

Negative experience: I have my children registered on this practice for years and I always get online remainders asking for filling e-form before appointments to save them time. I've got on appointment for myself months ago and I remembered ask the staff if I would get a email or txt msg like my children. The answer was "Yes, sure!" But in reality I've got nothing. Actually I've got an email saying I missed it ! And no chance to book another one. If they don't want addict people to their "online push" please cut the remaindes for EVERYONE but not just some of us. My feelings is if they offer you a NHS appointment they won't bother to try any sort of communication because they don't really want to serve NHS patients. This practice won't take any attitude to keep you as a NHS patient.

Fantastic experience: I recently had an outstanding experience with Masuda for my Invisalign treatment. All the staff was friendly, and Dr. Masuda’s expertise and attention to detail made the process seamless. I was talked to my treatments from start to Finish and this really eased my anxieties. The results exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend their services for anyone considering Invisalign. Five stars without a doubt!

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist in city centre Manchester with really helpful and friendly reception staff. I've had several appointments and the dentist is always kind, professional and she explains the process clearly and always puts me at ease. The treatment has made a big difference to my confidence. Fantastic experience: Very professional feel to this practice. Those operating in the reception area are bright and friendly. We were very impressed with Kirsty and Saira. Clean and bright waiting area. Our dentist, Dr Willow, is chatty and particularly adept at relaxing patients. Needless to say her dental work is exemplary. I underwent a root canal treatment and it was painless. Also, especially given the city centre location, I have been very pleased with the charges for non-NHS treatment. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, helpful and professional staff all round. Promptly resolved my issue with an emergency appointment to rectify a dislodged (old) inlay that had been pulled out after eating treacle toffee! Very pleased with my treatment and put my mind at rest after a bit of a panic. After speaking to the lovely receptionist I was reassured that it should be fixed quite easily and quickly. Thanks to Willow the fantastic dentist and everyone at the practice, I very much appreciate your help and also the fabulous dentist who previously sorted a cracked front tooth months earlier during another emergency appointment at the same practice after recommendation from a family member (sorry I don't know who the dentist was as I didn't catch their name) who also did a great job!
