Fantastic experience: Amazing service and results! We were referred to Dr. Hirani as I needed orthodontic work to correct a significant underbite which, in conjunction with my teeth grinding, was going to cause issues later in life. I had already done a lot of damage through grinding and, as a result, was not very enthusiastic about smiling. The work carried out by Dr. Hirani and his team over the last four years has completely transformed the look of my smile and fully corrected the underbite — a total transformation. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The staff are without exception friendly and professional, and Dr. Hirani is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work — exactly the qualities you should be looking for in a dentist!

Fantastic experience: I've recently completed my multi-year treatment plan with Dr. Hirani at Smilelux in Milton Keynes and I’m very, very happy with the results. Dr. Hirani is not only highly professional and knowledgeable and acts with an incredible attention to detail, but is also very warm and a real conversationalist! Although my situation was complex, his course of treatment was highly successful; I had multiple extractions, three TADs (mini implant screws) and some shaving between teeth, as well as the usual straightening of bunched teeth, in order to correct my cross-bite, achieve more symmetry and enhance them aesthetically. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming upon arrival and the treatment room itself is always impeccably clean. Fantastic experience: From start to finish the care and attention to detail was evident and the process clear and easy to navigate. Dr Hirani explained what we should expect, including the kind of results that could be achieved. For my daughter (who was aged 14 and a half at the start of treatment but is now 16 years) it initially seemed like a daunting process, but I love that Dr Hirani took the time to explain everything to her. He didn’t speak over her head, and he made it clear that the results also depended on her consistency with her oral care. The 18 months went quickly. All the staff at SmileLux were friendly and professional. We received appointment reminders and never once had to wait to be seen, appointments always ran on time. We were very impressed with the high-tech equipment used at SmileLux and the ease with which staff used it. Before my treatment, I was growing increasingly self-conscious of my crooked bottom teeth that had shifted after fixed braces as a teenager. I was looking for a bespoke treatment plan using clear aligners. I wanted to straighten my bottom teeth without touching my top teeth (which i was very happy with). Dr Hirani quickly understood what I was looking for. He highlighted several considerations which I had overlooked and set realistic expectations for my results. Fantastic experience: I started my treatment 3 years ago where I was told I had a small upper jaw, an overbite and wonky teeth. The NHs’ plan was to take two teeth out and slap some braces on, compared to a detailed and long process at simleux. Dr Hirani has high standards and he delivers on that, he utilises the latest technology to deliver precision results. It's brilliant seeing a 3D scan of your teeth and having custom wires produced to move your teeth into the correct position. The lingual brace I had was very discreet, while there is some initial discomfort you quickly become accustomed to the brackets and wire behind your teeth. Lingual braces are definitely worth it, some of my work colleagues were completely unaware that I had braces for the years I was wearing them. Fantastic experience: I cannot thank and praise Dr Hirani and his team highly enough. I feel like I have climbed a mountain since beginning my treatment in October 2019. I have had multiple dental procedures over the years after knocking out one front tooth and chipping the other one as a child. Years of treatment had left me with misaligned front teeth and the prospect of potentially having a front denture after my crown began to fail. Dr Hirani was happy to take on my complex case, explaining everything and the different treatment options at our initial consultation and all of my following appointments. He is friendly, extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring and has treated me as an individual, knowing when I needed more reassurance and encouragement during my treatment. The rest of the Smilelux team have been brilliant making me feel relaxed and reassured throughout my treatment. After a tooth extraction for overcrowding in my bottom teeth, fixed braces were fitted to my top and bottom teeth. My treatment involved regular appointments every four to six weeks, multiple wire changes and elastics for a short period of time to correct an overbite. I now have for the first time in nearly 50 years correctly aligned teeth. This is something I never thought I would ever have. I've now had my braces removed after just over 4 ½ years and cannot believe the transformation. I still have more dental work to be done but I feel so much more confident and am happy to show my straight teeth when I smile! Thank you Dr Hirani and the Smilelux team.

Fantastic experience: This place deserves 6 stars review. My treatment was very long (3 years and 3 months) and some stages were quite difficult for me or made me feel anxious. However, I was always made felt comfortable and Dr. Hirani always gave me time to adjust and made sure I am okay. I had my wisdom teeth removed here as well and could not even dream of how painless and quick procedure could be. Every question or doubt was always clearly answered. Additionally to that, the place just feels like this small local business, where everyone knows your name and welcome you back every time. There was also no problem of booking appointments with my busy schedule. At last, I have recommended this place to my husband, who is currently under Dr. Hirani care.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my orthodontic treatment with SmileLux. Before the start of my treatment I was very keen to find the best doctor to achieve the goals I needed and I am absolutely delighted with the results. I needed to improve my bite, and I had been very conscious of my smile. Since the first visit to the clinic I felt this was what I needed. The clinic gives a very positive impression from the very start, extremely clean and well designed, and Dr Hirani led my initial consultation with great patience, answered all my numerous questions and proposed the treatment plan that I found structured, appropriate, and absolutely meeting my needs (I could compare as I consulted with five different orthodontists before visiting SmileLux). During the treatment I was informed of every step in advance, all manipulations, changes of wires, elastics etc I needed, and every stage of the treatment was carefully explained to me so that I knew where it was going and what to expect. The treatment took exactly the same amount of time as Dr Hirani advised at the start of treatment. He uses the latest technologies in his work which help to achieve wonderful results, save time on visits (critical to me as I travelled to Milton Keynes from Wokingham), and get every tooth moving precisely as needed. A separate thank you to the team of administrators Laura and Saijel, who are absolutely wonderful in arranging visits, providing advice and creating a welcoming atmosphere. And of course, to Dr Hirani’s assistant Maria who helps to make you comfortable and relaxed during the visit. I am recommending this clinic to all my friends who think of having an orthodontic treatment, I am 100% confident they will get fantastic results there.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for an expert orthodontist with a fantastic team and well-presented practice then look no further. SmileLux is by far one of the best places around for orthodontic treatment. I can say this because I have had experience with others. The price is the same as any other average practice but the service is top class. I finished my invisalign treatment recently and am extremely pleased with the results.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Hirani whilst undergoing years of orthodontics treatment with the hospital and I wish I went to see him first. My case wasn't straight forward, and meant that any orthodontist would have to start from scratch and correct previous treatment, but nevertheless Dr Hirani and the team still took on my treatment. Fantastic experience: I’ve just recently completed an Invisalign treatment. I’m not one to leave reviews, but I’m extremely happy with the results and now looking to follow up with teeth whitening. From my first consultation, the entire team were friendly and professional. I was initially asked, what I was looking to improve upon. Before being given a multitude of options. I found Dr Hirani to be extremely knowledgeable. But more importantly, he takes his time, to discuss and tailor a treatment plan bespoke to your needs. Being so detail oriented, he had answered the majority of my questions already. Any questions I did put forward, were explained until he could see I both understood and was happy with the plan. I strongly recommend Dr Hirani and his entire team!

Fantastic experience: I've had a fantastic experience with SmileLux. My teeth and smile have been transformed and are now much straighter than before. I was initially referred by my local dentist to SmileLux after needing braces to straighten my teeth. Both upper and lower teeth at the front had become overlapped. I was initially told the treatment would take at least two years, it ended up being four years because I had to have four pre-molars removed to create space. The treatment was expensive (£8k for braces on the inside of the teeth so hidden) but cheaper options were available. Some additional payments were required during the treatment, such as for plastic retainers to fit around the fixed retainers, teeth removal, hygienist appointments etc - totalling around £500. Any extra charges were always clearly explained. SmileLux staff are very organised and friendly and were flexible and quick to respond when changes to appointments needed to be made. I thoroughly recommend SmileLux to someone looking at orthodontic treatment.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hirani and the whole team at SmileLux are exceptional, and thanks to them I have a dramatically improved smile as well as a much healthier outlook for my teeth! I was referred to Dr Hirani due to his innovation with implants, as one of my front teeth is a bridge that was falling out often due to pressure from crooked teeth/ bite. The bite also needed addressing as it was so crowded I couldn't clean my teeth properly and I was at risk of having many more problems in the future. Dr Hirani was able to provide me with several options of varying levels of difficulty and the time it would take, and was very honest about what each entailed - I truly felt able to make an informed decision of what was right for me. The whole Invisalign treatment went smoothly. Fantastic experience: My time with the Smilelux team which i think is at least 3+ years has been one of great happiness. I have completed my orthodontic treatment and now at the teeth whitening stage. The whole team are extremely friendly, caring and very professional. I have never once felt uneasy. Fantastic experience: Absolutely first class treatment from beginning to end. Dr Hirani and his team were always incredibly professional and friendly. They have dealt with all the challenges that Covid 19 has brought very well. Dr Hirani is an exceptional orthodontist, with a huge range of knowledge and scope of practice. I have recommended him to many people. My son has actually enjoyed his course of treatment and the result is absolutely perfect!!!! Mr Hirani is a perfectionist and my sons smile is testament to that.

Negative experience: Warning to anyone going to smilux. They are not clear on costs untill you have passed over alot of money. During my first virtual consultation I was instructed that Dr Hirani would give me a cost to treatment and it should work out being on that mark as he was very good at this. I booked a consultation which was £109 and I was told Invisalign would cost me about £4000 After being referred for a number of fillings which I went and got done, I then payed £75 for a review appointment to check that I was fit for treatment. I also asked again how much the Invisalign would cost - he said £4500 with £350 taken off for record's I would need to have done. My quote had gone up by £500. I called smilux later the same day and asked about the price increases and the cost, also stating I am not in a position to be going beyond £4500. I was told Dr Hari said £4500, he gets it right. I proceeded to the next stage and payed £350 for my Invisalign records to be done. During my review appointment a few weeks later, he showed me the results and said the cost is £4850 - A second price jump, this time adding another £350 on top. At this point, I also found out that there are hidden extra costs on top of the £4850 that I hadn't been told about originally: - An extra £350 for each refinement (minimum) - An extra £395 for teeth whitening as it isn't included I enquired again about these extra cost increases at the same time seeking external dental advice. I was advised to dig around see if anything else comes up that is of concern so I can make a final decision to proceed or not due to the amount I had already spent. After asking a few more questions later, even more extra costs appear: - For Invisalign, if you lose or damage an aligner a charge of £150.00 will be made per replacement/repair and will incur treatment delays. - Attachments may fall off and require replacement. After you have had 3 replacements a charge of £50.00 will be made per replaced attachment. - If you require additional impressions and/or refinement aligners after the initial series of aligners then a minimum charge of £350 will apply due to the extended treatment and clinical time involved. I asked for more information regarding my treatment as I was only sent a form on how to pay and how much Invisalign cost. One of smilux answers being: 'Once you proceed with the treatment, a full customised and detailed consent form would be sent to you which would outline what your treatment includes.' (I found this very unacceptable and another major concern) I asked for the concent forms also multiple times with no success. The only replys I got were regarding accepting and paying for treatment first before being given it . I eventually did get the required forms after a long struggle 6 later weeks around 20 pages but I did feel pressured to pay before receiving them. I was repeatedly asked about paying first. Overall after spending over £500+ getting to this point there was to many price increases and untold additional costs added that I was never told about before at any point which should have been. I was also advised I would be writing Dr Hirani a blank check and I could come out with a extremely expensive treatment bill with no cap and no clear limited on payment costs. I was advised to get 2nd opinions. I went to 2 diamond Invisalign orthodontist straight away, both quoted £4200 with everything included and no extra hidden costs as stated above. One orthodontist stated that I was not fit for Invisalign at this point as I required a fillings and also a root canal due to infected teeth. He confirmed this within 10 mins of my free consultation. The 2nd orthodontist wanted to check over everything again. Both orthodontists gave me detailed concent risk forms to read over straight away as standard. Overall I am very disappointed in smilux, but at the same time I am fortunate to see the warning signs. I have saved myself from what was going to be a very expensive bill.

Fantastic experience: Time really does fly when your having fun straightening out your teeth with smilelux! Over the years my front top and bottom teeth started to overlap and I noticed how bad they were getting and would be very conscious of smiling or laughing in pictures after seeing one taken at a wedding! I knew a few people that had highly recommended them, including my sister, so I decided to go for a consultation. The staff are amazing and made me feel so welcome and after sitting with Dr. Hirani and going through my possible options I was sold. However mainly because I wasn’t pushed or pressured to go for the most expensive treatment, he explained pros and cons of all and simply gave his advice, leaving me to make the right decision for me. I was given a dental monitoring scanner to use at home so I wouldn’t have to go back every two week for changes which works so well with working life and they would give regular reviews on what your going well with or what needs improvement. 24 aligners later and I literally couldn’t be happier with the results. They work so hard and have provided everything I asked for and more. Thank you so much to all the team!

Fantastic experience: For many years i have been very conscious about the gaps between both lower and upper set of teeth. I had been wanting to get them fixed, however did not want to rush into it. My husband and i did a lot of research into finding the right practice. We looked at many of places however smilelux reviews stood out to us, when calling for an appointment the service was on top form and the fact I had to wait a while for an appointment was a selling point for me. They must be good…. When attending my appointment dr Hirani was very professional and pleasant. He told me his honest thoughts of what needed doing to get my perfect smile. We opted for invisaligns. I have just finished my treatment and i am delighted with the end result. My gaps have all closed up and i can now smile with confidence. I had a wisdom tooth taken out by Dr Hirani and I was quite nervous as I never had local anaesthetic before but I couldn’t believe it that I had not felt much discomfort as I was anticipating. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Smilelux Specialist Orthodontic Centre for the quality of the treatment received, the professionalism & friendliness of the whole team & the clarity, and openness, of communication throughout the treatment process. When I went for my first consultation, I knew that the straightening process was not going to be easy- even if it were possible- as the upper crossed & twisted teeth and the cross bite I had was all between a fixed bridge and a crown but Dr Sunil Hirani took up the challenge and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. For a number of reasons I chose to have a lingual brace and it was worth every penny! I seriously wish I had had the work done a long long time ago. Thank you Dr Hirani and all the team for the very pleasing outcome of the work. I now do not feel I have to position myself in photographs to hide part of my smile .

Negative experience: After Initially being impressed with Dr Hirani who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable , I’m afraid to say I was disappointed with the practices attitude towards my Autistic son and our family . During Covid my son unfortunately became very distressed with Masking and subsequently dropped out of school and despite our best efforts he would not always wear his brace during this time ( even tho he’d been really good at doing so for over a year ). We felt we encountered a lot of criticism for this at the practice, in person and on the phone , at what was an awful time for the family .Special needs children should be shown more sympathy if they struggle . Also I felt we were made to feel uncomfortable about not wearing masks even though we were all exempt . We did not buy the Covid narrative and felt there was too much questioning from reception . Our other private dentist we use was much more respectful of our beliefs. When I became upset over the phone , on presenting at the dentists I was told they had a meeting about me ( without me !) and had decided they had acted properly and that was their conclusion. I never felt so humiliated and could barely speak during the appointment. I could not wait to finish treatment and myself and my family would never use this practice again .

After having a bad experience with another dentist I was very reluctant to get any dental work done and due to this hadn't taken very good care of my teeth. Leaving me so insecure about my teeth that I didn't want to smile in pictures and constantly felt bad about the way I looked. I am so glad that I took the leap to go to Smilelux and from the very first appointment after telling them how nervous I was the team were so reassuring and supportive. Fantastic experience: As I use to suck my thumb when I was a child, my teeth moved and caused me to have a rather obvious and unflattering over bite. I had NHS braces prior, to no avail, so I then decided a private orthodontist was needed as I started to feel self-conscious about my teeth and also my smile in photos. I can whole heartedly say that choosing SmileLux to undertake this task was the best decision. After going through all the options with the team I decided to have teeth removed as well as a brace. Although the process was long, it was definitely worth the time and effort that everyone put in. I had my first fixed brace as a teenager but my teeth moved back to the original position as I did not have a retainer. I then paid privately for another fixed brace in my late 20s and, although I had some improvement, I was never totally happy with the results. Unfortunately, the orthodontist led me to believe it was the best it could be. 10 years later I thought I would try one last time. I found SmileLux and less than a year later I couldn't be happier with how my teeth look! Dr Hirani took me through an extensive consultation and explained what was, and wasn't, possible. I accepted that there were some limitations to what changes could be made to my natural anatomy. I wanted a natural look and not an Instagram veneer smile. I chose to have a lingual brace, and after a few weeks of talking with a lisp and a bit of a sore tongue I barely knew it was there. This meant I could easily see the improvements as time went by. I didn't feel rushed at any of my appointments and I was happy for the treatment to take as long as was necessary. Fantastic experience: I’m really happy I went ahead and got my Invisalign treatment with SmileLux; my new smile looks absolutely amazing and so natural! The facility is very clean, modern, aesthetically pleasing and easily accessible with ample parking. From my first consultation to Invisalign removal day, Dr Hirani and the SmileLux team have been reassuring and encouraging throughout my smile journey. They promptly and thoroughly answered any questions I had via telephone or email, and provided an outstanding level of care. I started Invisalign treatment during the pandemic whilst attending university in another city, so the Dental Monitoring system was incredibly beneficial for me. Dr Hirani could closely monitor my treatment remotely, thus making it easier for me to follow government COVID-19 guidelines during lockdown periods while still receiving excellent orthodontic care. The Dental Monitoring system is also another channel of communication with the SmileLux team. Fantastic experience: Before starting my treatment at Smilelux I had been thinking about having braces for ages, years in fact. I often told myself that if I'd had them when I first thought about it they would be done and dusted by now. However I'm actually very glad I didn't as I would have definitely ended up with a compromised result. I wanted a quick fix, as I'm sure many people do, and the other orthodontists I'd visited were willing to provide this. However, what I got from Dr Hirani was the honest truth about how my teeth would look after a quick fix (my midline needed correcting which could only be achieved with fixed braces on both arches). The team at Smilelux make having orthodontic treatment actually enjoyable and I found I looked forward to my appointments not only because it meant my treatment was progressing but also to see the team! I'm so pleased my braces are now off and I have a lovely new smile but will miss my regular visits!

Fantastic experience: Where to begin! Dr Hirani took me on as a client while I was a quarter of the way in with my treatment from another Orthodontic practice (it wasn’t going well) I had lingual braces and I was referred to smilelux from another practice who saw me as “too much of a challenge” I was already hating my teeth and with having 0 luck, my hope was quickly disappearing. I had a consultation with Dr Hirani, the moment I stepped into the building I was put at ease with the amazing client service that the reception team provide on a day to day basis. At last, I was given hope and I transferred very quickly over to become a client. Two years later with a move to London as well as a pandemic, I finally have my braces out and the only downside is that I won’t be able to have the joy of regular return visits to see the team. The team is genuinely friendly, welcoming and always strive to keep you updated every step of the way. From start to finish everything was a breeze and extremely transparent - from treatment options, to taking to explaining the progress and discussing any concerns and questions I may have had. The practice is equipped with high-end technology and the treatment plan I chose used SureSmile technology to take a 3D scan and fine-tune the corrections to a degree of precision not possible with traditional methods. If considering orthodontic treatment - I cannot recommend SmileLux enough!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend SmileLux, I had fixed retainers that needed some urgent attention. Dr Hirani and his assistant we brilliant, very friendly and a wealth of knowledge, they made me feel comfortable was very thorough and clearly explained my options and maintenance advice and most importantly listened to what my concerns were. I left feeling confident with my treatment and armed with information regarding the maintenance of the retainers.
