Fantastic experience: I’m relatively new to this practise and first used their services 6 months ago (back again today). I was really impressed with the professionalism efficiency and courtesy of the staff, as well as the cosy premises. The treatment I had was excellent and the advice I was given for after care was just amazing. I feel valued as a patient and I wish I’d known about this practise sooner. Staff are highly knowledgable/skilled, professional and courteous. The practise is warm and welcoming, especially since the recent renovations, has a fresh modern vibe to it. I highly recommend the practise.

Fantastic experience: We've used Rayner for many years as a family dentist. Its red carpet treatment every time we visit. Christine always has time for a chat even though she is so busy. Tom and Umaima, the dentist treat us with respect and are very supportive. The other staff members are always kind. If any of us are in need an emergency appointment, the staff help to get us seen quickly. The new look to the surgery gives it an updated look and looks very professional. Mr and Mrs Raynor. Negative experience: I got my teeth cleaned by the hygienist in January and told her I would be getting composite bonding done the next day. It felt like a super aggressive appointment but I didn’t think much of it. The next day, the dentist asked me if I had my teeth cleaned as there were stains round the back. He had to then clean them again as he said they had only cleaned what was visible rather than doing a thorough job. I received a reminder email to rebook for my next cleaning and definitely won’t be back.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Rayner Dental for a check-up with Dr. Tom was excellent. After 13 years with my previous dentist, I was really pleased with his approach. Dr. Tom is a nice, friendly guy who explained everything clearly. The staff were friendly and efficient too. A very positive experience all around - highly recommend!

Positive experience: Christine, the Practice Manager, was very helpful in arranging an emergency appointment for me because I was in considerable pain and it was only going to get worse. Miss Ehmen Malik, the Dentist, was really excellent. Very skilful, thorough and caring, Miss Malik outlined the options to me and then gave the best possible treatment she could. Fantastic experience: My first experience at Rayner dental practice was an really positive one. I was extremely nervous after having some really negative dentistry experiences, but Dr. Tom was amazing. He understood my anxieties and managed to make me feel completely at ease and comfortable, he explained every step, and gave me space to explain my concerns, investigating them fully. They are currently having some work done and so soon I imagine it will be a really nice modern space - looking forward to seeing it all finished. I'm so glad I found this place, feels like I've found a hidden Gem in the dentistry practice!

Positive experience: Only lost a star due to the construction work. Took my daughter here today for an emergency, the dentist that saw her was really lovely. She was really reassuring and explained everything to her, whilst discreetly shielding her from the scary bits. Really lovely lady.

Fantastic experience: After receiving an emergency appointment through 111, I had a broken tooth extracted which other dentists couldn’t take out previously because of it being too close to the gum line. Once in the surgery I was dealt with within ten/fifteen minutes with the problem solved, aftercare advice given and I was happily relieved. Receptionist was also helpful, informative and friendly. Negative experience: I called to book myself in for an appointment… The receptionist, who answered informed me that I was no longer their patient as I had not been into the practice since 2015 and that I was informed about going in for treatment after that time. However, I wasn’t??? To which I was then told that I have been removed and couldn’t be offered an appointment. I had told the receptionist that I had definitely been in after and that I wasn’t made aware of their policies, so I request to speak to their practice manager. The practice manager came onto the phone and her tone was very off putting and she was speaking to me like I had committed an offence, when I had told her that I had been in after 2015 and that I wasn’t aware of the policies about removal from the list, she told me ‘well you should have seen it, it was on the buses and advertised everywhere and they’re not obliged to inform us even though her colleague said otherwise. She then went onto insult me further by saying I must have ‘accompanied’ my father on his visits to the dentist, as opposed receiving treatment myself as my father has been attending frequently. I told her I do not have short term memory loss and not to insult me like what. I did not appreciate her condensing or rude tone of voice. She blamed this on her ‘asthma’ sorry but having asthma and being rude in your tone are two vastly different things. I am absolutely disgusted with the way she spoke to me and made me feel like I couldn’t remember when I had been in. Total and utter disappointment considering I have been with the practice since childhood and I have been treated by both Dr Rayners. It’s even more disappointing that they are very good dentists, but don’t show that representation in their staff especially being the practice manager. Telling someone something is one thing and then being rude and showing authority all whilst you’re a simple practice manager is another. Have some decorum dear. There was absolutely no need for that level of rudeness over something I wasn’t simply aware of.

Fantastic experience: I went after contacting the 111 service, I was in immense pain and the dentist was very nice, gentle and professional. She quickly numbed me up as she could see the pain I was in, and quickly identified the problem and fixed it within a few minutes of me entering the room. I can't be grateful enough for the help I was given in such a short period of time. Thank you very much, again! I feel like a new person after losing sleep and being unable to sleep or work due to the pain.

Negative experience: Do not go to this place 111 nhs sent me there and they fobbed me of young dentist just said I can't do this and I had to ring 111 again and they sent me to night dentist and the gentleman there did a filling no problem avoid this place they just fob you off and get referral money of nhs

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for several years. The staff have always been amazing, right from the receptionists to the dentists. They listen to you and do the best possible work. Initially mr and Mrs rayner were the only dentists and over the years their practice team has extended and the service has still remained 100%.

Negative experience: Emergency appt. Friendly receptionist. Went upstairs. No confirmation of DOB or any details. States 'tell me why your here... informed her of problem.. does x-rays. Informs me it's an abrasion. Doesnt even give me further information or ask if I'm getting pain from it. Ask about dental treatment and replies I'm not with them downstairs I'm an emergency dentist. Doesn't even face me when saying this, Rude. Please work on your patient bedside manners, try and be polite and smile at your patients. Emergency or not, you are a dentist :) will not be visiting here again. Rather request further if it means I get better service.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful dentist. Booked in as couldn't get an emergency appointment on 111 so did have to pay private prices, but compared to the treatment I received from the NHS dentist last time I'm very happy to pay. £55 deposited and you get the examination and x-ray. Identified the issue straight away and explained what was needed. I needed a tooth removed. I was unsure as I remember the feeling of the last one but price was confirmed £150 and the work began. The dentist was amazing and so was the nurse, warned them I'm a nervous patient and I usually need more pain meds and they listened straight away. Stopping as soon as I asked. Root was curved and pron to breaking. She took her time and worked the tooth to come out instead of the hammering I remember the tooth next to it having when it came out. Recommend this dentist even debating working to become private patient.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough kind words about Rayner Dental Care. I have been a regular patient here since I’ve had my teeth as a kid. This practice is simply brilliant and a very welcoming environment. The service from receptionists (Christine), nurses, hygienists and dentists (Ehmen a lovely dentist) has always been second to none. I always feel extremely well cared for here. My best interests come first, all options/treatments/materials used etc. are explained fully and costed in advance.

I have been a patient at Mr Rayners (and previously Mr Rayner senior) since I was 26 ( long ,long ago !) How many people can say that they prefer visiting the dentist rather than the hairdresser? Well that's me ! I can't recommend my dentist and his colleagues highly enough and wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Negative experience: I keep getting messages for check up appointments would not go back if it was free - had 3 appointments in total had been made to wait for the first two after I had arrived - 1st appointment they did a check of my mouth and didn’t really pay attention to my concerns until I consistently spoke about them - apparently they couldn’t see them on the x ray - arrived late for the third one (which I rang to advise them of) arrived with no other patient in the building so they had no other appointments that afternoon I’m assuming to then be told I was late by the receptionist (who said this to me as though I was a poor puppy and whilst pronouncing my name wrong) then was advised I would need to pay a late fee and that I had lost my deposit so yes not happy with the service. I expected more from them considering they had 5 stars on here but sadly I did not receive the services received by others Second star due to cleanliness other than that I was not happy
