Fantastic experience: I have never had a tooth extraction procedure before so you can imagine how nervous I was at the prospect of having a wisdom tooth out. I was absolutely petrified. I don't like the dentist at the best of times. However, it felt like the whole dental practice was behind me for this operation: from the lovely ladies on reception; to the wonderful treatment coordinator; right through to the surgeon himself who was EXCELLENT. He took his time to explain everything to me and really made sure I was ok throughout the procedure. I can't thank you all enough. If I can get through this, anyone can. Thank you so much!
Negative experience: Very disappointed with an appointment we had with dentist specifically shortfa nargis very poor service poor manner of treating patients unprofessional dentist instead of doing her work she will ask the same questions repeatedly in a rude way which is itself very unprofessional. Fantastic experience: I have just completed over four months of dental procedures. I have had nothing but excellent treatment given to me by Dr Shammy and her assistant Ilayda. I had always dreaded going to the dentist even if it was a just a check up, but not only was I put at ease with Dr Shammy but we even managed to laugh about things in between the work being carried out. I would thoroughly recommend Goodleighs and of course Dr Shammy.

Fantastic experience: I was seen by Dr Shorifa and Aysha today and i can’t thank them enough. They were both very lovely, reassuring and did an amazing job. I am always anxious at my dentist appointments but Dr Shorifa was very gentle and understanding and made me feel calm during our appointment.

Fantastic experience: Having not coming to a dentist for so long Dr. Shorifa had a lot of work to do. Of the many appointments I had I was never late into the dentist chair sometimes out before my appointment. Dr. Shorifa was very reassuring and had a lot of patience with this big baby. Fantastic experience: I moved our whole family to this dentist after our previous one stopped taking NHS patients and I have been really pleased. They are always able to give us convenient appointments. The system of giving consent beforehand, along with the helpful receptionists, makes the check in process quick and efficient. The waiting area is pleasant and the building is a tardis! I have seen several dentists who have all been thorough and professional. Dr Shorifa has a no-nonsense approach and gives clear and helpful advice, so she has upskilled all of us to take better care of our teeth in the long term. A young male dentist was recently very good with my son, answering all his questions patiently and reassuring him.

Negative experience: My husband visited with tooth pain. Was given a filling in less then ten mins as they were late and rushing. No xray or care taken. He was left in severe pain after for days. When he went back they tried to charge him £350 for a tooth extraction or £900 for root canal. No nhs prices were provided, just asked him what job he did and thought they could exploit him. Terrible dentists and even the receptionist couldn't come up with an excuse for the dentists poor dental work and over priced work. Since left and joined a new dentist. That are all lovely, good at their jobs and don't take advantage. Goodleigh dentists don't deserve any wages

Negative experience: Absolutely horrendous can never get hold of anyone , i tried to call between half past eight and a half past ten I have tried 69 times to call the number for an emergency appointment the only number that is on the website just a constantly hear welcome to BT answer phone the person you've called is on the phone ,

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment at short notice for a small cavity in my tooth. Dr Shorifa was brilliant, very friendly and efficient. She checked my teeth, found two other small cavities, and all three were filled in under 5 minutes with no injections and no pain. Great dental practice.

Negative experience: waste of time this dental they deactivate there patients without their consern

Unfortunately, due to a high volume of missed appointments and cancellations at short notice, we have had to enforce a strict attendance policy to ensure that we can provide the best care to all of our patients.
To make sure everyone is aware, we now send an email with our practice policies, including the attendance guidelines, to all new patients registering with us. We’re also in the process of having all our existing patients sign this policy in practice. This ensures transparency and helps us maintain a smooth and efficient service for everyone.
Please note that we do not contact patients directly regarding deactivation, but if you miss an appointment, we send a letter explaining the missed appointment and the status of your registration with us. The only reason you may not have received this letter is if your contact details were not updated with us or if the post has not arrived.

Negative experience: Called them to book a private appointment, they told me to fill up the form on the website. I filled up the form on the website, got an error saying to "call them". I called them they told me to email the responses. I emailed the responses, they said to call them to book. It looks like they rather keep you in a loop than take the appointment on first call!!

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful professional kind caring person my new dentist is Shorifa Nargis i can't praise her enough.After being a patient with My Dentist former Eltons dentist for 25 odd years, and the complaint i made not being held up or sympathised with my husband told me to try his dentist. I was very anxious about changing but was so unhappy how i was treated i did and wow i wished id of done it alot sooner. The staff were lovley, the rooms had gentle music and a tv in with scenic places on the t.v. . The dentist and hygienist were lovley and made me feel very welcome. 10/10 service iam so happy i changed, this lady put me at ease was very understanding and was very professional , the treatment was explained step by step. Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Goodleigh Dental Practice for just over two years now..I have to say it's probably the best Dental Practice I have used. My dentist, Dr Shorifa is brilliant. Fantastic experience: I’m only giving you 5 stars because I can’t give you 6. A filling dropped out at 3.55 and I rang at 3.58. Was told to come straight in and was seen by dentist at 4,05. Back home with tooth repaired by 4.18. 23 minutes in total. What a service (and I never felt a thing!)

Negative experience: The reception staff are horrendous, and the quality of dental work is very poor. I’m currently pursuing a criminal case against the for inappropriate behaviour, for legal reasons I can’t divulge more but stay away from this dentist they are not professional at all

Negative experience: Dentists themselves here are lovely. However every receptionist I’ve spoken to are RUDE. Talk over you and don’t let you finish what you’re saying; then turn their nose up when you say you’re a NHS patient or ask about NHS services!!!!

Fantastic experience: Every single time i go to the dentist I am terrified of what may happen. Completely irrational I know ...I'm a grown adult I don't know why i have this fear. BUT the staff at Goodleigh are always so calming and helpful. They don't laugh at me for being ridiculous and are patient and caring. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I've recommended a lot of my friends and family to Goodleigh and they are all also happy with the service they get. If you are terrified of the dentist....go here and although you might still be scared they are understanding and you will realise there's nothing to fear. Even the reception staff are lovely despite us awkward patients to put up with.

Fantastic experience: I went to Goodleigh Dental surgery this morning. I phoned 111 this morning at 6am and was given an appointment at 11am. When I arrived I checked in at the reception. Both ladies very nice and friendly. I was called within 5 minutes by a lovely dental nurse. I was in a lot of pain and very upset. I was taken into the Dental room, where I was met by the Dentist. He was a lovely man and put me at ease straight away. He said don't worry we will look after you. After I had an xray he said that I had a infection and he could prescribe me Antibiotics or remove the infected tooth. I explained that I have never has a tooth out without being sedated. He said ok you better not have it out today. He said take Antibiotics to help ease the pain and have it out under sedation next week. I said I can not be in this much pain I need it taken out. He never hesitated and said ok let's do it. My husband came in to support me through the procedure. The Dentist talked me through it. Explained what he was doing. After a few injections and some tugging the tooth was out. He said the root is big and showed me. They asked if I wanted to keep it. The Dental nurse washed it and placed it in a bag for me. I would recommend this man he was truly amazing. He made a fuss of myself and husband. We both said we will never forget how kind and caring he was to me. Also the lovely Dental nurse who made me feel relaxed. I have never had any procedures without being sedated. This was my 1st time today. I was so scared and anxious and they calmed me down. Thank you to you all from the bottom of my ❤️

Negative experience: I had an appointment with this dentist today. The lady dentist named Shorifa Nargis treated me very badly and told me to go back to the person who did your filling before. She damaged my healthy tooth. If there was a 0, I wouldn't even give it a 0. I definitely recommend you not to go to this dentist. Fantastic experience: First class dental practice. Staff are thoughtful and accommodating. Went for a hygienist appointment which was excellent and very thorough as always. The receptionist noticed i had a check up appointment with Dr Nupur in a few days time and asked whether i would like to be seen immediately as she had a space and this would save me another trip in to Chelmsford. I took advantage of the offer. Dr Nupur suggested replacing some discoloured and worn fillings and had time to do it there and then. She made an excellent job and I'm thoroughly delighted. Would recommend this dental practice.

Negative experience: I had my first check up couple of weeks ago. Two fillings and scaling were done. A good customer service. Following treatment, I noticed feeling obstruction in the filling area. I attended for the second time and the over area with filling were addressed and now feeling sensitivity feeling and sometimes a slight pain. So overall a not good experience

Negative experience: The dentist advised I have a filling. The tooth wasn't causing me any pain, but I agreed and paid for it to be done privately. They went on to drill far too deep, right into the nerves. They then did a bad filling leaving jagged edges around it. I attempted to tolerate the pain for almost 2 months until I accidentally caught one of the jagged edges whist flossing and partially pulled the filling out. I got an emergency appointment at which the dentist hinted at it being my fault, but agreed to redo the filling after a further 2 week wait. The dentist then made a mess of the filling again, the nerves feel completely exposed. I have stopped eating/drinking using that side of my mouth and have difficulty sleeping due to the pain. Going forward, I will need to pay another dentist to try to repair their awful work. On another matter, the last time I was in the waiting room, an older Oriental man was asking the receptionist for an emergency appointment. He didn't know he had to register with them first, and his English wasn't great, but he was understandable. However the receptionist was extremely discriminatory and impatient with him, bordering racism. She spoke at him in an aggressive patronising voice and said phases like "Do you speak ENG-GA-LISH! Bring someone who can speak ENG-GA-LISH!". The other receptionists were enjoying their colleague's discriminating behaviour and were giggling alongside...I was very uncomfortable watching this. It's absolutely shameful! UPDATE to botched filling. I went to another dentist and X-Rays confirm that the filling is directly on the tooth's nerve. The nerves are now dying and the only solution is a root canal and crown. This is going to cost me over £1000 and a lot more pain.

Negative experience: Very dissatisfied I had an appointment booked for today at 11 to which I got confused and thought it was 1130 as this was the time of my last one I called as soon as I realised my mistake to explain I would be slightly late only to be told it would go as failure to attend and I would need to rebook and lose the deposit I had put down. Now my gripe cones that when they cancelled my last appointment ladt minute and i had to call to rebook i was understanding so I explained I have a fear of dentists and needles and as a result hadn't been to a dentist in 19 years until I met goodleigh who finally got me in the chair and broke my chain and got me to attend 3 appointments in total after being treated in this manor after explaining my fear I will never go to a dentist again and will just live with the pain and infections it may get

Fantastic experience: Dr Khilna Shah is my dentist at this practice and she is the best dentist I have ever had and I have had loads. I have been sing her since about 2010 regularly. I have very complex dental issues and she has always done wonders for me. She is always polite and puts me at ease. She always explains everything well and points me towards sources of further info. She educated me well so I can make an informed decision regarding treatments required. Her team have always been very helpful. The practice has always tried to accommodate me when I’ve run in to problems. Thank you to all especially Dr Khilna Shah.

Fantastic experience: As always Dr. Crina was amazing, she was explaining every step and asking how I was. Me and my partner have been going to her for a few years now and we cannot stop recommending her and thank her enough for her services.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended Khilna by a preschool mum. My son was really nervous and worried about going to the dentist. But Khilna was amazing from the beginning,she's kind and patient and it makes all the difference with children. Fast forward and my son is now 7 and going to the dentist is just normal routine,his little sister also goes too and going to the dentist has always been a positive experience thanks to Khilna. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. And I myself have had some emergency work done by other dentists there and they were both brilliant! Thank you all x

Negative experience: I came to this dentist as an emergency .. I was struggling to eat as had broken fillings on both sides of my mouth. I was told my the receptionist when I booked that temporary work could be done that day. I arrived in a slight panic due to parking but I was OK. The dentist sensed I was panicking and started to chastise me like a child. She didnt tell me her name hence putting a review here - it was a couple of years ago now. As she chastised me I started to get more panicky, she told me that it was only an exam and that they couldnt do anything that day which wont enable me to eat. I was upset st this. She then told me I shouldnt expect other patients to have their appointment cancelled for me, I didnt ask or even elude to this. She then asked me to leave, refusing to even look as she said the relationship was broken. Yep. She broke it. I would expect a medical professional to have mental health training. I spoke to another dentist who were amazing and saw me privately the next day, an option which I was not offered. They didnt even ask if I could afford it. I got a temporary filling so I could eat until they were able to complete the full filling.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank my dentist (NG) for the way she dealt with sorting out some old veneers and replacing them with new. Fantastic experience: Such a lovely dental practice, I had an emergency appointment, I first spoke to the receptionist on the phone in the morning and she was lovely and understanding and got me in to see the dentist that day. Fantastic experience: We was given this number from nhs111 Bank Holiday Monday. We was told to come and sit and wait, we was greated by the lovely lady on reception very polite friendly and full of compassion. We waited about 10mins and a nice nurse call me in, again very polite friendly, the dentist was really good even though he couldn't do much as my face was swollen with an abscesse from a tooth which he wrote me a prescription for penicillin and antibiotics, he never judge me once as I haven't been to the dentist since school.ver professional. Negative experience: I went they as new NHS patient she took full face tray said 3 of my Teath need coming out but she good not do it got to be done by surgeon on benfleet game me load of tablets went.back.following week.for different tooth she looked at ex Ray said got to come out gave me more tablets. Went back sore some one els she said see your own dentist went back saw top dentist he said your grunting your teeth filed it down then said you got a broken filling see your own dentist in May when she comes back
