Professional yet welcoming by the Dentist ;Ed for Short) Acknowledged that as a new patient I actually anatomically under precisely what both the x rays revealed & the collaborative discussion that followed. Negative experience: Although I was the only person in the Practice I was still called in 15 mins late for my appointment with the hygienist. Although all my previous appointment at Damira have been excellent, this was very unsatisfactory. The appointment took about 10 minutes and was heavy handed and not very thorough; just a cursory descaling and about 5 teeth polished. it appeared that the hygienist was keen to go home!

Negative experience: I called up for an appointment to get fillings done on two teeth within the next week. They said they had a space that week and would book me in. Consultation £60, okay great i thought! How much are fillings I asked, the receptionist said £130 each usually. That's expensive for fillings but okay I said. I arrived and had the check up which I'd paid for prior, they then said, whilst i was in the dentist chair, the total for the 2 fillings is £500, minus the £60 consultation. And when i said i was told it's 130 a filling, the dentist mr Akaf Rashid said it's because they gave me an "emergency appointment" which nobody ever told me. Annoyed because they waited until i was in the chair and had the check up i paid for i just accepted it. I mentioned an tiny chip on the same tooth as the filling was being done on and asked the dentist to do that as well as he was already doing that tooth. He acknowledged it but didn't bother. The dentist is very rough the way he pulls your mouth around and presses tools against your lip to your teeth. No matter how many times you you make it clear it hurts and have to free your own lip up, he keeps doing it and it leaves a bruise for several days. Anyway, the filling just came out in chewing gum a few weeks later. I called up and they said come back and they'll do it for free. I came back and they tried charging me an additional £60 which refused. The same dentist, went into the dentist chair and then didn't know how to use his tools, he was asking even the receptionist how to make his drill with water spray work and none of them knew. I ended up getting told to get out and wait in the waiting room once again. Eventually they figure out how to use their tools and call me back in. The dentist tries tell me that it's my fault the filling came out and accused me of "grinding my teeth" I've never done that in my life because my jaw needs to set back to bite. Anyway his BS he trying to feed me he obviously couldn't prove. He went on to f#ck the tooth up he replaced the filling on. It was as if he'd never done one before and that tooth was practice. Well after messing that up, i gained new bruising again across the lip (I wish i took a photo the same evening but i took one 2 days later, still a small mark), he either does that on purpose or mindlessly, i now have a sensitive tooth, yes that one he messed up, so i rang up Damira to ask advice on if this is normal to now have a sensitive tooth after a filling? The receptionist said she'd get the dentist to call me back. It's been a week now and they definitely aren't calling me back. This cost a lot of money and time wasted for a lot of problems. Best advice is to go elsewhere and avoid this place and that dentist called Akaf Rashid.

Nobody likes going to the dentist, but these guys make it as easy as possible and give a very good explanation as to what treatment or repair work is required. Negative experience: Paid £60 on booking appointment looking for a possible extraction on NHS. Nice welcome, but sat in chair for 5 minutes, x-ray £15, extraction £250. No mention of this when booking. So I extracted myself from the chair and left without treatment Total waste of time and a complete con. They need to be honest and upfront from the beginning.

Fantastic experience: The dentist I saw was very thorough explained everything was efficient but I paid £75 pound for no treatment all I had was an xray I just think that’s crazy and if I have to go back that’s another lot of money that I don’t have. No wonder a lot of people have bad teeth as it’s impossible to afford care

Positive experience: The dentist had logged my previously difficult experiences with having a dental brush particularly. He suggested me wearing the headphones I had with me. They had found peaceful music in the background during my check-up. He didn't rush anything and talked through everything he was doing- asking my consent before anything. He is also going to see if he can do anything to make it more manageable for my daughter to cope with it. It was a really positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I was never skeptical in my decision to start my Invisalign journey with Damira Dental practice, as every time I walked in I felt super welcome there and the support financially was fantastic! Positive experience: Even though I arrived early for my appointment I did not have to wait very long. The new patient check-up was fine and my anxiety was abated. However, I did think it could have been a little more detailed. Today I saw the hygienist who was extremely helpful and again I only waited for a few minutes for my appointment. So far my experience has been good.

Fantastic experience: Very good and friendly staff . I needed medication as I have an infection and they fitted me in for a x-ray to find that I had the infection and was able to give me a prescription for some medication the same day that I went to book an appointment and now I’m on the mend because I’m taking the medication so would highly recommend this dental practice and the staff are amazing

Positive experience: Dental staff (Eduardo) - great! Reception staff - not so great. Felt like a hindrance asking for a receipt or indeed questioning why I need to pay deposit for a check up in 6 months. First time of having below par reception here in 2/3yrs. Hopefully won’t be repeated.

Fantastic experience: If you are a nervous patient then this practice is for you. I am of the generation who was left terrified of the dentist because of the school dentist. Over the years I have only attended when in a ‘full of pain emergency’. Well, I had an emergency recently, I broke my front tooth. I was genuinely so scared but left with no choice, worst predicament for a dentist-o-phobe. I shopped around and the decider was that Damira could see me the same day, I was seen by Eduardo and he really made me feel safe and explained everything he was doing. I have now been back several times for treatment, I was treated with understanding and patience. I have even seen the hygienist, Jayson, who was also so gentle and patient with me. Everyone here from the receptionists dental nurses, dentist and hygienist have been so kind and I genuinely feel better about dentists. I honestly can’t thank you guys enough. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I am a nervous patient after an awful experience 50 years ago which resulted in a root canal filling and the memory of the pain has never left me. I have been a patient of Damira at wickham and Eduardo for about 3years now and have always been very pleased and reassured with the treatment I have received from him and the team. Yesterday I had a deep clean done by Eduardo for which I had numbing injections. The procedure was painless and even better when the numbness wore off I had no pain or discomfort whatsoever! Fantastic experience: Booked an appointment to see a hygienist online and was very impressed. I'd not seen a hygienist for years due to a previous bad experience but couldn't recommend Jayson enough, he explained what was going to happen and checked that I was ok at regular intervals. My teeth are so much clearer and I had a really sore patch on my gum that feels much better. He gave me some advice and recommended a new mouthwash to try. Very pleased and will definitely be going back

Fantastic experience: As a business owner, I am busy and needing to keep things moving. Back in May, I was suddenly stopped in my tracks with a toothache. At the start, I managed to just get through the days with piggy backing painkillers, but over time, it got worse and I couldn’t work and my sleep was disturbed. I contacted a dentist, who told me they couldn’t see me for 10 weeks, and that was when I got a referral by a friend to see Damira. They were able to see me almost right away, as a new patient I was surprised. I’m so glad they put me onto this dentist because my first visit with Akaf, was superb. Not only was the visit comfortable and easy, Akaf himself is an unbelievably good dentist, very professional and his depth of expertise showed in how thorough he was with giving me feedback on my situation and helping me understand the opinions I had. I am back at business now and painfree, with a detailed dental plan. Akaf and the team at Damira have been there for me since I joined the practice (as I have ongoing work to do) and I am so grateful for being in contact with them, and lucky to be a patient here. I highly recommend if you are looking for a dentist, to try Damira, and see Akaf or the team. They’ll look after you.
