Fantastic experience: Who's afraid of the dentist? Not me! The staff are always welcoming and very helpful. My dentist is very good and thorough with an inspection, talking to me afterwards about the health of my whole mouth and jaw and reassuring me i have no obvious problems today. Thank you all for making such a nerve-wracking time so easy for me.

Positive experience: Friendly greeting from reception on arrival. Dentist was 15 minutes late to surgery; her assistant did inform patients waiting of a delay, which was a nice touch. Dentist apologised for lateness. Good all round check-up = £27 for 12 minutes in the chair!

Fantastic experience: I am not a fan of the dentist, not one bit. I have very sensitive teeth and am really squeamish about these things. But the whole team were absolutely fantastic and so lovely. I wish I never had to go to the dentist again, but if I must (which I know should) it will be Carholme Dentist.

On the second one, I would like to highlight how good the lady on reception was in getting me sorted. This transpires to the whole team at Carholme. Very very pleased with how I have been looked after.

Positive experience: Carholme Dental Practice gives excellent dental services. Extremely satisfied with them. I find the waiting room experience very trying though. I don’t cope well with loud noise. I understand that public places often have radios / TVs on in the ‘background’ . I don’t like it but I get it. However I think they should have a notice asking people who are watching things on their phone with the volume up, to use the mute button or earphones. I found the radio PLUS someone on their phone very unpleasant at my last visit.

Negative experience: First time using this practice. I get very anxious attending the dentist, receptionist was ok, appointment was late, the dentist was rude and didn’t listen when I stated it hurts, while still Applying pressure. I was made to feel like I wasn’t welcome, told not to return to get my actual tooth out. 2 cuts in my gum and still no relief! I won’t be recommending or coming back. If I was paying private I think I would of been treated differently

Negative experience: Used to be really nice but doesn't feel this way anymore. Check ups done in 5 minutes, you don't feel listened to and they push you to use their in house higeanist every time (not on the nhs of course).

Fantastic experience: The receptionist was really lovely and I was in to my appointment promptly. The dentist did a thorough check, gave advice and explained things well. Both the dentist and the dental nurse were fab with my daughter, making her feel comfortable while she waited. Thank you xx

Fantastic experience: Carholme Dental practice is friendly and professional. Reception staff might be busy but make the time to speak to customers in a kind and friendly manner. They are patient and helpful and manage the busy reception area with a smile. The dental treatment I have received has been outstanding. After a lifetime of regular dental checkups it was this practice that picked up on gum health issues and they provided superb instruction and advice resulting in significantly improved oral health. No unnecessary ‘work’ is undertaken and so long as I follow the advice and guidance I am given on dental care my check ups here are minimal in time, invasive ‘work’ and general poking and scraping. This practice provides a professional and personal service and I feel safe and well looked after.

Fantastic experience: It was good but my teeth was really hurting me I had abses because they weren't wright , I made appointment to see some body else but had to cancel because I have TB , on meds for every thing , I didn't want to up set Powell a, as his caring friendly and he is good at his job , I feel really bad as for not telling him his the best , and soon I will need a check up , to get what I want , I hate the fact I have retired, and I just think that dealing with people on benefits , should be treated equal, so I think that should change

Negative experience: Had one tooth out it was very painful.have bad gum swelling and face .been hurting allweek and still suffering . had done week ago wasn't happy how I was treated. Would like to change to another dentist assistant . Have not been happy since seeing the one I have . Dissatisfied .please change me to another assistant thank you .the staff are very nice

It took a lot to pluck up the courage to go but I would like to thank Rachel and Robina for their professionalism and understanding and for the kind and calm way in which they treated me. It's not often you get professionals that are this psychologically informed and it has made a big difference. I'd recommend to anyone feeling the same as me to be open about how you feel and they will do what they can to help. Thanks again

Positive experience: Good service. Dentist is really good with Mum who lives with advanced dementia. Only issue is the stairs which mum now struggles with. The hygienist is really good as well. I do recommend Carholme dentists.

Positive experience: I’ve given Carholme Dental Practice four, not five stars, as I missed my hygiene appointment, despite arriving 30 minutes early. The Practice layout had been changed since my last visit, with the reception located where I would normally have sat, so I took a vacant seat, located beneath one of the speakers. Apparently my name was called for the Hygienist on two occasions, but being deaf, I didn’t hear it. I did hear my Dentist call me and she asked if I had seen the Hygienist and I said no, not yet. I now need to make another hygiene appointment, but in fairness I can’t blame the person who called me, but I do feel an improvement would be; if a person doesn’t respond to a call, it might be worthwhile checking with a Receptionist, to see if they have checked in. Apologies for the long-winded explanation, but I feel it is warranted.

Positive experience: The extraction of my wisdom tooth was done with virtually no pain or discomfort. Unfortunately there is no parking on the practices property and the appointment time of 10:30 fell in the middle of a period where no parking is permitted on the surrounding roads.
