Fantastic experience: I’m extremely nervous of the dentist having had bad experiences as a child (at a different practice!). I have been able to overcome my fear by going to Meadow Walk Dental Practice as everyone there is so kind and understanding. I always feel comfortable and in control during consultations, everything is explained to me in detail to allow me to make informed decisions regarding my dental care and treatment. Special thank you to Dr Anita and her dental nurse for being so calm and kind during my consultations.

Positive experience: Lovely, warm people. The receptionist is adorable, and the dentist I had took great care to make sure I was comfortable. She did a great job with "buckle" fillings. Unfortunately, I had a bad reaction to the shots which numbed my jaw, and afterwards had a lot of swelling, which after 4 days, is better, but still visible. My husband can see the drooping and swelling--although it is slowly getting better after icing and face exercises. So, a mixed bag....

Fantastic experience: NHS let me down with the fact I would have had to wait 2 weeks for an emergency appointment! This is where these guys came in, managed to book me in for a week and then when I went up to see if there were any early appointments and they managed to squeeze me in! Absolutely amazing as I was in pain! The 2 dentists that I had, Estera & Jess, they are a real credit to the team. They made me feel at ease and actually cared about how hard it was to have your tooth out. Also, MASSIVE shout out to BOTH receptionist that I dealt with, both absolutely amazing!! THANK YOU guys so much and I can’t RECOMMEND this place enough!!!!

Fantastic experience: Text reminder was sent with (reassuring) details of COVID measures still in force - it also included the opportunity to check in on line. I was the only patient in the waiting room, demonstrating that the appointments are being spaced to ensure minimal contact with others but staff were polite and welcoming. My appointment should have been just for a check up but I had unfortunately detached a crown the night before. Luckily I had retained the tooth which was cleaned and refitted with no fuss. Was given advice about future gum care and checks regarding my next hygienist visit we’re made. All in all, a pleasant experience, even though it was the dentists!

Fantastic experience: During my Hygenist appointment with Jan and assistance from Mary I was given a thorough and clear explanation of the treatment being given at a time (17th January 2022) when the Covid restrictions were still under scrutiny from Public Health England. The possibility of a complete polishing session was limited but I was pleased with the attention given to both my Hygienist visit frequency and additional feedback to help my care and attention needed for my dental implants to help reduce the degree of gum bleeding between 1 (best) and 3 (worst) for gum quality grading. Thank you and I will now book quarterly hygenist visits.

Mood is up beat and I always find time to have a bit of a laugh. This is not to say that they are in any way unprofessional, they are not. Thank you ............................................................. 24/5/2024 My Hygienist and Dentist have both changed. And I'm very pleased to say that the standard of care and friendly interaction has remained at the accustomed high level. This time I have been advised that a filling would be best removed and replaced due to concerns that there may be underlying decay. I was provided with a full explanation of the treatment plan, and whilst the cost caused a sharp intake of breath , its not often I require work so its booked in. See you in August, thank you all. .................................................................... 2/8/2024 So today Anita replaced the filling. The experience was not unpleasant and the filling actually feels great. Well that's not quite accurate, I actually can't tell that the filling has been changed, its that good a job. . As always all the staff are great, good humoured banter, I always feel at ease there. Thanks you all.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous friendly dental clinic, with advanced services, amazing expertise and a great location.

Negative experience: I have been a patient for the last 8 years but I will be looking elsewhere now that my regular dentist has retired. Firstly, when I phoned the out of hours number on Saturday to get advice on what to do after part of my filling fell off, no one answered the phone or phoned me back after leaving a message. Secondly, the first appointment I could get when I phoned back first thing on Monday was 5 days later. Then I was not impressed with the new dentist or treatment I received. She charged me 400 pounds for a small straight forward filling and a small X-ray. It took the dentist almost an hour because the dental nurse must have been doing an apprenticeship (as she had to be shown what to do) and then it took the dentist 20 minutes to try to adjust the filling. I even had to come back a second time as my bite was clearly still not right. When I mentioned the high cost to the receptionist she told me each dentist charges different rates. Worth getting an estimate then if you are thinking of using this dental practice.

Positive experience: Good care and very kind staff; it just would have been nice to know that my care would not be covered by the NHS (because the practice's contract expired in April) before I was sat in the chair.

Fantastic experience: Always an anxious patient, I was very worried about my hygienist appointment. I expected pain and stress but instead it went really well and I was really pleased to not have been put through a painful session. I was also reccomend a different way to floss my super compacted teeth, no one has suggested this before and I've tried it and it worked really well. I would certainly reccomend and I won't feel so worried when my next appointment approaches.
