Fantastic experience: Having recently located to the area knowing I needed dental reconstruction, I was very nervous about signing up with a new dentist. I need not have worried. I was greeted warmly at reception where I was put at ease, and everything was explained clearly to me. The initial consultation with Dr. Basil was undertaken thoroughly, professionally and options explained in full. Treatment thereafter was conducted with sensitivity and with the highest level of professionalism. All initial problems were resolved, and follow up treatment has left me with a winning smile. Fantastic experience: Had to call for an emergency i called (absess ) every other dentist ao slow and gettin me an appointment and max on reception saved my life very warm and welcoming didnt have to wait more than 3 minutes to be seen !!! Fantastic experience: Wow, wow, wow. First appointment today, a deep filling required. I have a huge fear of the dentist and this was scary, but from the moment you walk in you are put at ease by lovely staff and a homely waiting room. Reassured throughout the treatment and everything is explained to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Absolutely zero pain from the treatment and I’m finally looking forward to having my teeth back in good shape! Amazing!

Fantastic experience: I was first seen at the practice, having broken one of my front teeth, in January 2025. They managed to see me within 48 hours, as a potential new patient. I had a complete review of my dental history, and aural hygiene. This was followed by a comprehensive quotation to repair my tooth, and to undergo a process to fix other problems found during this investigation. I had not seen a dentist since before Covid19, and was subsequently removed from my dentists patient list, once things started to reopen. I have found everyone at Crofton Dental Care, to be understanding, caring and professional in all of my dealings with them. There can be no better recommendation than to say I have signed up to a monthly payment plan to cover my ongoing dental needs, hygiene appointments and regular checkups. 10/10 to everyone, and I would recommend them to anyone needing similar care.

Fantastic experience: I had an invasive procedure that was approx 100 minutes in total. I have to say that I was very nervous about the procedure. Basil was very clear, professional and informative of what was involved. I have to give a big thanks to Jo the dental nurse that provided reassurance that was much needed through out the appointment.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is very anxious of attending the dentist, I visited Crofton Dental Care following quite a bit of research online and reading all the positive reviews. From the very first visit the staff were amazing and treated me with kindness & put me at ease. Dr Basil has a very calm manner and took the time to fully explain what was needed and the treatment he recommended. I recently had implant surgery under sedation and would recommend this to anyone who feels anxious of treatment. I remember nothing of the procedure and this made it a very positive experience for me. I highly recommend Crofton Dental care and Dr Basil and feel I am in safe hands for my remaining treatment.

Fantastic experience: Can't believe my luck in finding this amazing dentist. I haven't been for years as I have a phobia. Dr. Basil was so gentle and kind and understanding. I told him no poky things in my mouth and no bite wings and he accepted that. Gave me alternative, non-invasive, examination options. I am very lucky in that I don't need further treatment for now. Just a "watch". Appreciate that he didn't try and get me to gave unnecessary treatment. Would 100% recommend based on this experience. I was quite nervous about my composite filling, especially because I tend to gag easily, but they were incredibly patient and understanding throughout the entire process. I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism—highly recommend this fantastic team!

Negative experience: Poor customer service. Having submitted an online enquiry (providing my contact details of course) 3 weeks ago I went for an initial assessment. Was told I would receive an email detailing the costs and way to proceed (email address again confirmed in the consultation). Having phoned twice (no one bothered to return my call first time) I still don’t have an email with options and the means to proceed to treatment- so will be taking my ~£5K of business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service. No private dentist is 'cheap' but at Crofton the administrative staff are very polite and helpful, the hygienist service is really good and Basil the dentist is a fine craftsman. He carefully explains what's going on inside your mouth, showing photos to illustrate any work he recommends and his ability to make fillings look like the actual tooth, both in colour and shape, is outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I'm 53 and Basil is the ONLY dentist that has ever been able to carry out any treatment on me with no pain whatsoever. I had an extraction this morning and was genuinely shocked when he said "all done". I hadn't even realised he had removed the tooth yet! I can't explain the difference this makes after years of dental trauma. Thankyou.

Basil always explains everything while carrying out treatments. The equipment is modern. A few weeks ago I decided to have two implants after Basil explained various options. I have had the first stage of my treatment and I’m really impressed with the treatment and after care . I would not hesitate if I need any more implants.

Fantastic experience: I have had problems with my teeth all my life and always felt conscious of how discoloured and crooked they have always been. I began to lose teeth due to gum disease and just felt it was a good idea to improve the look of my teeth before it was too late to do anything other than have dentures. Basil was recommened to me by a friend and I am so pleased I went to see him. It has taken around 12 months in total but I am delighted with the work I have had done. I have had dental implants and crowns and they look amazing. They look natural and I have had lots of compliments about my teeth from friends. The staff at Crofton dental care put my mind at ease and were so kind and friendly. From the wonderful reception staff and comforting nurses to my dentist Basil. Basil not only was kind and gentle but listened to my concerns, was patient and did incredible work on my tooth issues, to the point where you couldn’t tell I had any fillings done or decay there previously. Fantastic experience: I went in as i had a tooth needing removing and a filling. I have high anxiety with dentists so asked if they can use sedation which they do. Went in Wednesday for the surgery, follow up call day after and another follow up call the day after that. Basil and the team and very good and make you feel comfortable. They have a conservatory waiting area so its like being at home not being at another room waiting to be mutilated. Highly recommended

Negative experience: Basil was lovely, but said the wisdom tooth removal was a simple procedure and would take less than half an hour. The website said from £200 but they wanted to charge 2.5 times the price per tooth! Which they couldn’t explain why it was so much more, only that it stated “from”, so I dread to think what they would charge for a tooth that isn’t simple! Your dentist was very clear it would be a “simple” procedure and only take less than half an hour for removal of both! He also didn’t mention any surgical need (if I didn’t need it would I get a partial refund as you said that is covered in the cost?) Otherwise I wouldn’t have said yes initially to treatment!

Fantastic experience: Having been petrified of going to the dentist, I had a look around to find somewhere that had a good reputation for helping those who were nervous. I have definitely found it with Crofton Dental Care! Basil is a genius and has saved teeth that previous dentists wanted to remove. Claire the hygienist is kind, calming and very knowledgeable and theres always lovely, friendly staff as soon as you walk in. Also a big shout out to Donna as well for being very kind during a longer procedure. After going here theres no where else i would go!

I’m astonished: never even felt the anaesthetic needle and although I had primed myself for significant discomfort during drilling, it never came. I actually almost dozed off. Negative experience: Well over priced!! . Just kept trying to get me to pay for more expensive work all the time when another dentist said the opposite. Took a tooth out and charged me over £500! What a joke of a place.

Fantastic experience: I have now completed dental work consisting of a full bone graft and two Implants. Basil who treated me explained in full detail the works that were reqd as we went along. I must admit, it was quite painful after the anaesthetic had worn off and the swelling was severe however, it has all been well worrh it and i am very happy with the outcome! So many thanks to basil and his team and would definitely recommend this practice to Friends etc.

I felt quite relaxed and was amazed at not feeling the injection go in for a filling I had done.And amazed that only the area of the tooth was numb and not all round my cheek and lips that I have experienced at other dental practices.
