Fantastic experience: My mother is very anxious and scared of dental treatments. But Dr Krishani Kalyan had been absolutely brilliant and treated my mom with kindness and removed her tooth with extreme care. Receptionist was also helpful in filling out the medical form. Happy with the entire service.
Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted with this practise — money hungry and a waste of time — told me they are NHS then proceeded to tell me that only there initial check was on nhs and I would have to either say 6 months or pay privately to get a root canal done (quote was 480). She also refused to take an x ray of my whole mouth and said the appointment is only for one tooth. Was charged 28£ for an x ray and a quote for private dental cost: It’s clear the dental nurse is just in it for the money and tricking the system - apprently she will be able to claim 280 from nhs plus my 28 pound — stay away

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Damaira Ruslip Dentist, Dr. Kalyan told me my wisdom tooth needed a filling, but when I asked questions she repeatedly said “why, instead of giving clear answers. Then I asked to show me x ray again she said why, then eventually She only showed me part of my X-ray, claimed wisdom teeth don’t really appear on X-rays, and then quickly moved on to the costs. I later went to another dentist, was shown the X-ray, and was told I do not need any filling. This means I was given false information about treatment I did not require. Patients deserve honesty and transparency, not misleading advice.

Fantastic experience: Hygienist and Dentist first class. At the time of my visit there was a single receptionist , answering the phones, sorting out appointments, dealing with complicated client issues and taking payment, which included explaining your deposit system. Negative experience: Needs to sort their communication functions. A simple ring and answer telephone service and to be able to read emails as they supply an email address, which gets ignored, also I won't name the dentist but she lies about "conditions" and tries to sell everything. Absolute zero recommendation since the Damira takeover and so happy to leave to another dentist.

Negative experience: On arrival to the dentist the receptionist was rude . No eye contact and proceeds to talk at me about filling in forms she had sent . My batery was low on my phone ,so I explained then she is discussing my private information in a waiting room . Surely breech of GDPR . The dentists themselves are professional and friendly. I've phoned this morning to talk to practice manager and same receptionist say hopefully she will get back to you . Speaks volumes!

Positive experience: The emergency appointment process has changed in that you have to phone to book an emergency appointment on the day, or morning preferably otherwise you won't get an appointment, a first come first serve basis. In the past a patient would call to be seen as soon as possible and if the emergency appointments for that day were all taken then the friendly receptionists would give you the next available appointment with any dentist who had availability on the following day more which was extremely helpful as you would be seen as soon as possible. The way the works now is that depending on what time you phon the day all emergency appointments could already be taken for that day and you have to try again on the following day until you're 'lucky' enough to get seen.

Our dentists work extremely hard to see as many emergency patients as they can within the day as well as completing open courses of treatment and seeing patients for dental examinations. We have to prioritise patients with extreme emergency cases due to our limited availability. We are sorry we were unable to see you on this occasion.

Negative experience: It's all about money since Damira took over. No longer the friendly place it used to be. I'm a long standing NHS patient there and they wanted over £200 to do a 5 minute repair to a chipped edge. The previous pleasant young dentists, would have done it NHS without question. Sign of the times.

Negative experience: First time using this practise. When walking into the clinic the receptionist didn't look up once from her computer and when taking down my information. Wasn't impressed with the service just came across rude. Felt like the practise cared more about money then customer satisfaction. I had told the hygienist I didn't know how to floss and I would have thought as a basic service it would have been shown but was told to book in another appointment and she would show me then. As someone who hasn't had good experiences with dental practices and had voiced that in the beginning of my appointment I can confirm this experience didn't change my opinion. Quite disappointed.

Negative experience: Ruislip branch. Very dissatisfied. Rang to bring my check up forward as I told them I thought I needed a filling. Wasn't offered the filling on the day so I needn't have wasted my time. Also they insisted I pay in advance of the appointment. When trying to book an appointment for the filling they wanted me to pay a deposit of £50! Since Damira took over this practise it has become very money-grabbing. Every time I go I am given a new list of recommended treatments. Wrote a complaint and have had no response - that's how caring they are.

Our payment in advance policy requires all patients to pay the full amount or a percentage at the time of booking the appointment. Demand for appointments is very high so we follow this policy to prevent failure to attend. It promotes patients to inform us when they need to cancel so their appointment time can be used to see another patient in need of dental care.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of seeing Alisha Gupta at Damira Dental Practice on Eastcote Road, and she is hands down the best hygienist I've ever had. From start to finish, she was incredibly thorough and professional. She applied numbing gel to ensure my comfort and took her time, which made a huge difference—there was no sense of rushing or "clock-watching." Alisha explained everything she was doing during the process, providing invaluable advice on oral hygiene, product recommendations, and what to avoid. What truly stood out was how she managed to clean even the hardest-to-reach areas at the back of my mouth, which many hygienists often miss. Her technique was gently "thorough" and effective, with no harsh movements or discomfort. It was clear that she genuinely cares about her patients and their dental health. I really hope she stays because she is exceptional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and caring hygienist. Thank you, Alisha!
