As well as fixing my gingivitis and some fillings, Dr Aled Price helped me through Invisalign treatment and I have the most wonderful, natural looking set of teeth in only 10 months! Fantastic experience: FIrst went to this practice over 2 years ago for a regular cleaning and was impressed with the work by Connie. She explained a few things I hadn't really know about making sure I do on cleaning. During my latest visit I had some issues with my wisdom teeth without any pain and they were prompt with the action and making sure I preempt the procedure. Alex did my extration and he was very clear and calm through the whole process and made it as painless as possible. Also, I travel from West Yorkshire to get my teeth sorted here!

Negative experience: The quality of care when in the clinic is great. Efficient, clear and easy. The front desk however is so painful to deal with that I now go elsewhere. Once various administrative issues regarding my treatment were resolved (after various attempts by email, phone and then finally walking in and asking to see my dentist directly) it became obvious that the staff have frustrations of their own with the reception. Save yourself the hassle.

Fantastic experience: I had a great dentist, Dr Hero, some years ago in London and when he left I struggled to replace him. Herne Hill dentistry couldn’t have hit the mark more than they have. It’s actually now great fun going to the dentist and I actually miss them between appointments. Frank, straight forward advice, great humour and great chats. The dental work is super meticulous, super clean, sunny environment. Genuinely looking forward to seeing them next check up.

Fantastic experience: After not attending a dental practise for years, and subsequently needing lots of treatment, from the outset Herne Hill practise have been professional, honest and friendly. The dedicated staff are happy to advise, give guidance and support throughout, the booking process is clear and costings are concise, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Like a lot of people, I'm not even trying to get anything NHS-based these days, so I thought I'd bite the bullet and go private. In all, I got a check up, a couple of x-rays & then opted for the scale and polish with airflow and stain removal. Considering I've not been to the dentist in years, I thought the price was very reasonable (I looked at some other local practices that were charging almost double) & I'm very happy with the final result. Will definitely be returning for my next check up.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Payvand Menhadji for a check up and clean. I was a bit anxious and she put me at ease completely. She was so thorough and I had the best clean of my teeth! She made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions. I won’t go to any other dentist now.

Negative experience: Whilst the procedure to a single rear molar was fine (X-Ray + removal of existing filling and replacement temporary filling ahead of route canal treatment), acute pain persisted for four days after the procedure. Upon seeking a second opinion from a dentist in Harley Street, their x-ray revealed that the root canal was infected. They prescribed me with a course of antibiotics and at time of the following morning, 95% of my pain has been relieved. In no way was the service given by all of the staff I interacted with on first ever visit to the practice at fault. The missed identification of the infection however is the moot point which has impacted the overall rating. This should have been identified upon initial examination, with the requisite remedy being advised.

Fantastic experience: New to the dentist practice. Aled has a great bedside manner and has made my treatments far more bearable. And that's saying something as someone who has a reasonable fear of the dentist. Would highly recommend Reception never answers the phone or emails so popping in is your best bet but the online booking form is very easy to use

Negative experience: One Star Because of Dr Pereira. Sadly quite disappointed with the service here.I had consultation with pereira took three x-rays without any thing and he asking another 3D scan and I say No. He is not happy at all b/c he want sell money. What a SHAME

Fantastic experience: After my dental practice of over 25 years announced it was ceasing to undertake NHS work, I accepted I would need to look at a private dentist and approached Herne Hill Dental Practice for a small emergency repair. They couldn’t have been more helpful. The receptionist was very personable and arranged an appointment with the dentist the same afternoon. Viraj had a great bedside manner (I’m a nervous patient!) and explained what he was doing throughout. Charges were clearly explained in advance. I very much felt this was a practice that put patient care first and my family will now be using them in future.

Negative experience: Each patient allotted 15 min is ridiculous. A 5 min “cleaning” is likewise ludicrous. I couldn’t clean my finger nails in 5 min. One of the worst for money establishments I have come across. I will be looking for other dentists. P.S. in their reply they do not deny that each patient is allotted 15 min. My point stands.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist for a couple of years due to the pandemic so was a little anxious, but Dr Connie Yau and her assistant were both brilliant and made feel relaxed. Fantastic experience: Recently joined HH Dental Practice as a new patient and I can’t recommend them highly enough. They have an easy to use booking system online and friendly reception staff if you need to make amendments. Dentist, Anish, is meticulous and thorough, and very kind in the event of nerves. He explains his methods clearly and so you feel included in his treatment plan. Practice itself felt clean and safe when visiting in the pandemic.

Fantastic experience: I visited this dental surgery for gum treatment based on the recommendation given by my dentist in Deptford. The young lady who treated me was brilliant and the treatment was excellent. Within three months of her treatment the gum swelling and bleeding have stopped. I have a very healthy gum now and I am now following her advice very seriously. I'm fully convinced and recommend her for those patients who have gum problems. Good luck.

Negative experience: One star because of Dr Pereira - Even if the appointment was at 9:20 AM (opening time is 9AM), the dentist was more than 30 minutes late. - The dentist was not cordial, he say hello looking to another direction and said goodbye without much interest. I asked for a mirror and he rejected my request without any care. - The anesthesia didn't work well and I felt the surgery for few minutes. - The appointment was part of a plan and it was not suppose to be with him. - It is my third visit at Herne Hill Dental Practice and the first time I have a real poor treatment. I think it wouldn't have been the same with another dentist from this clinic.
