Fantastic experience: Had all 4 wisdom teeth out on Tuesday after my usual dentist referred here. It was soo good I remember absolutely nothing but the kindness shown by staff. I had some mild swelling and pain in the first 3 days but now 4 days later I feel so much better and for the first time since August I have slept all night without waking up in pain due to broken wisom teeth. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: Lovely team, from receptionist, to nurse, to dentist. All very friendly. Nurse was extreemly good in making me feel comfortable and at ease when preparing for the procedure. The sedative works wonders!. I felt mo pain, the dentist was very good. I don't know how long the procedure lasted, but seem to be done in no time. (Maybe because I was in a couldn't careless state, away with the fairys) Highly recommend this practise

Negative experience: In a word, traumatic. For context, I have a bad gag reflex so usually when I get fillings, I am put under sedation. Today, oh dear, this was not the case. They injected what I assume was anaesthesia into me but may as well have been gravy. I hear cutting, sawing, all the bad stuff. The worst part of this ordeal was the ‘need’ for a chaperone. The last time I came I said my chaperone would be there after the surgery. No problem, in you go. Today however, that was not the case as they actually needed to see her. This would’ve been fine however, she works nights and also has insomnia so letting her sleep on her day off would’ve been nice, especially as the last time I needed a chaperone they weren’t present. Second of all, as most families do, they all have full time jobs so can’t sit and wait in a dental office for hours. Lastly and most hilariously, they started the procedure without having the chaperone present anyway!! So with me not being sedated at all, I think I could have walked back home on my own. Stupid. Will not recommend. Rude receptionists too. EDIT- also looks like a crack house from the outside too, makes sense as Chartwell clearly have an inefficiency or reluctance to use needles.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely outstanding experience with Dr Sepehr Rezaei! I had an appointment with Dr Sepehr today, and I was genuinely impressed with the entire experience. The composite work he did on my teeth was amazing. I’ve had dental work done elsewhere before, but this is by far the best I’ve seen. Sepehr paid close attention to EVERY detail and made sure everything matched perfectly with my natural teeth. It’s not often you leave a dental appointment genuinely impressed, but today I did. Dr Sepehr is truly exceptional!

Fantastic experience: I brought my anxious 9yo son here to have a filling and an extraction. The team were great, the sedationist Shivani explained what would happen and give us a choice of flavours for the gas and air. Dentist Sep and nurse Em were very kind and reassuring. I was able to hold my son's hand throughout and although it wasn't exactly fun for either of us the whole experience was much better than I thought it would be. In the end the dentist decided the tooth didn't need to come out and recommended a second filling instead, which was a big relief. They clearly know what they're doing and consider what's best for the patient at every step. My only comment would be that it would be helpful to have some info about parking on the practice website! Thanks to the whole team for being so great.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Dr Sophie Clarke and the entire team at Chartwell Dental Clinic following my tooth extraction today. As an extremely nervous patient, I was made to feel completely at ease, Dr Clarke and her team were so understanding, kind, and caring, even holding my hand to help keep me calm. Dr Clarke took the time to explain every step of the procedure and ensured I was as comfortable as possible throughout. Friendly, professional, and compassionate, I honestly could not recommend them highly enough, especially if, like me, you are a nervous patient.

Fantastic experience: We were extremely impressed with the care received at Chartwell Dental. The reception staff were warm, polite, and very helpful. Dr Sophie Clark was excellent — calm, clear, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Her assistant was also great and helped make the whole experience stress-free. Fantastic experience: I was seen today by Dr Lalli to have a bottom front tooth extraction. Dr Lalli made me feel very at ease, he not only was so professional and polite, he made the whole experience relaxed. Fantastic experience: Visited for the second time after being referred here. Very helpful staff and they call to make sure you're attending. Appointments are on time and The dentists are very welcoming and made my child feel calm and comfortable before starting to work on their teeth. Parking nearby is free for an hour I believe. Which is enough for an appointment depending on what work is being done.

Fantastic experience: Went there for my brothers tooth extractions as he is has been terrified of the Dentist for a long time. He passed out bless him and the staff were absolutely incredible. A special thank you to Christian, Helen and Bhavani for looking after him so well and calming him down so much that he could continue to have his treatments finished. Absolutely lovely staff and aftercare.

Fantastic experience: I visited this dental practice today and just WOW. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They explained everything thoroughly to me. They eased and calmed my nerves effortlessly. I had zero pain! Even when they were putting an injection into my arm, it was the tiniest scratch. I felt so safe and looked after! I'm now 10 hours post treatment, and the pain is minimal! I had 3 teeth out, I thought I was going to be in agony after, but honestly, I am so surprised. The receptionists are welcoming and friendly! I would recommend this dental practice to everyone. I can't praise them enough. All such lovely and sweet people. Thank you x

Fantastic experience: Dr Sophie Clark and her team have been an absolute dream. I was incredibly anxious for a tooth extraction due to previous experiences in different clinics where I had to leave the place as I’ve been treated quite rude I would say. Coming to this clinic after a few negative experiences was such a relief. Not only they hold my hand during the procedure, but the doctor took a good amount of time to explain every single step, action and consequence which have helped so much and I felt so confident to go ahead with the procedure. Friendly, professional, patient and caring are just a few words that can describe Dr Clark and her team. (Apologies for not remembering the nurse’s name :) ). Don’t even hesitate to book yourself at this clinic!!

Fantastic experience: Just visited with my 6 year old son today. The team were excellent at making him feel comfortable, talking to him the whole way through, and reassuring him. He's now happily eating ice cream at home.

Negative experience: I took my Daughter for a filling and we left with multiple fillings and 3 teeth in a bag! She cried every time I touched her leg to console her trembling with fear…… We waited a good 40 minutes before we were seen and to listen to the screams of little ones literally shaking as they left, including my Child, I don’t know what the heck happened in there as they refused to let me in with her when I heard her scream no from reception! Please avoid this place something’s going on there.

Fantastic experience: All the staff were absolutely brilliant with my autistic son, understood his needs, kept him calm and relaxed throughout the whole appointment, let him know what was happening so he didn’t feel too anxious, thank you so much.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the care my 4-year-old daughter received. We waited a lot for this referral, and she was in pain from cavities on four of her back teeth. During the appointment, Dr. Kerai advised removing the teeth at the hospital—an extreme recommendation for a young child. She then placed temporary fillings on top of the cavities without cleaning them. No proper treatment was done, and the approach to a scared child was minimal. I was told to go private and pay up to £6000, in a very dismissive manner. I had no choice but to fly to another country to get urgent dental care, where my daughter stayed calm for 4 hours and received proper treatment without sedation. I hope the clinic takes children’s care more seriously in the future.

Fantastic experience: I came here today for my wisdom tooth to be removed as it was cracked off and only had half of the tooth. I was very nervous and was shaking the entire time and the lady in with me was amazing held my hand the whole time I felt so sorry for her as my hands were very sweaty and she still didn’t mind and she made me feel relaxed the whole time as much as I was shaking. The surgeon himself was amazing explaining everything to me and reassuring me the whole time also the other lady who was doing the suction pipe was very reassuring. A brilliant team. for any nervous people who need the surgery I hope you get the 3 people I had because they was just amazing they are a true credit to chartwell dental clinic.

Positive experience: I don't like dentists generally and I was referred here by my own practice to have a tooth removed. The oral surgeon Sophie Clark and the entire team here made the experience more bearable. Sophie was kind, patient, gentle and explained the process as she went until final announcement "tooth out". Having said that, two days later on the Friday my mouth seized up, I could barely open my mouth, couldn't swallow & the right side of my face was really painful. I could barely talk, my wife called them on the number on the leaflet I was given to be told to call our own dentist. Thankfully they told me to come in immediately. I've been on antibiotics for 7 days and only able to drink soup from a cup with great difficulty. Yesterday I had a liquidised meat & potato meal, like baby food. Still in pain but Thankfully less this morning. Might progress onto solid food shortly. Would have been nice if Chartwell had showed a bit of concern for their patient.

Fantastic experience: One the best Doctor I have ever been to. DR Sepehr did a filling for me, and I'm trying to find the filling, He has done it so well that I can't even see it. Highly recommend. Must see Dr Sep.

Fantastic experience: Dentist Tina was fab as are all the staff. As tooth extractions go it was great haha! Despite double dose of jabs and having stitches, only needed an occasional paracetamol the first 2 days, and no complications.

Negative experience: Not happy at all, they left 2 of my 7 year old daughters teeth with no fillings and the other 2 filled up without cleaning them first. The injection was no need then without deep cleaning first. And one tooths filling is still high up. They saw how scared she was but was still insist to do it just so they get paid by NHS and not losing the patient. Do not recommend this practice at all. Reject if you get referred to by your dentist.

Positive experience: The dentist themselves are amazing, including the hygienist. I seem to have the same issue with the SAME receptionist every time I visit and she is just pure rude, the tone in her voice, the looks she gives you & her general customer service is absolutely awful. Having done the same job for 10 years I completely understand how frustrating the role can be at times, but her “I don’t care, it is what it is” attitude is vile. Middle aged lady with brown hair - avoid her if you can!!

Fantastic experience: Five stars well earned. My daughter was referred for a tooth extraction today with Tina and all the staff here were amazing. It took us a while to talk her into the procedure as she was so nervous and upset but everyone took it at her pace and they were so lovely and understanding. Bonus points for the extra care they gave to both of us parents who were faint and exhausted by the end too. We cannot thank all the staff at Chartwell clinic enough. Fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Very good, professional and friendly team. They have calmed my son in a very patient way. They were not rushing to get the case done. The procedure was very safe with the entonox being monitored by the sedationist. The dentist was very efficient taking the teeth out and the assistant nurse was giving support to my son so well. The recovery nurse was very good explaining the post procedure instructions and has further calmed and reassured my son. The receptionist were very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic experience: My little girl was refereed here due to her anxiety at the local dentist. And wasn't able to get her filling done there. I was very interested to see how the gas and air would work on calming her. It was amazing!! She didn't say a word and told me she had three different dreams. Sharon was absolutely amazing with her!! My daughter was so anxious, she chatted and calmed her down enough to go in the chair without a fuss. Rena was so gentle and quick with the procedure, amazing!! After the treatment we sat in recovery with Helen, while she chatted and told her all about herself. My daughter said 1000 stars for everyone at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: My 13 year old son needed two fillings due to weak enamel. We had tried twice at our usual dentist but he was too nervous. The staff at Chartwell were amazing, they helped him calm down and with a little gas and air they gave injections and once he realised he was numb they did the fillings and he realised that it's not so bad to see the dentist. Tooth remove are never a pleasure experience, but this one was actually very good, easier, quick, they keep me calm ( most important thing as i’m such an anxious and nervous person) Within 5 minutes or less was done! Very grateful to Dr. Tina and her assistant.

Fantastic experience: The only dentist I’ve actually enjoyed going to. All the staff were so happy and friendly. They talked me through all the parts of my procedure, and although I was sedated and don’t remember leaving, my girlfriend said that their after care was exceptional aswell. 10/10

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Dr Varsani. She was on rush to get the job done,very unhelpful and almost nervous with my 8 year old girl. You have to be more patient with the kids and to give them some time to calm down and give some minutes the anesthesia to work. We been in and out on five minutes time and don't understand with the rush,just do your job properly.

Negative experience: The reason I'm giving this a 1 star is because my grandaughters appointment was for 3 o'clock ,we sat waiting until 3 45 before she went in and no one apologised and said they were running late .It would of been nice to be told and I got a parking ticket because we were late out of there .To make matters worse they denied saying they were late .I found these very unhelpful and argumentive and liars not good service

Fantastic experience: Amazing service, treated us so kindly, my daughter had 2 visits there and both times the staff were so patient and kind to her. Fantastic experience: Took my son to have his cracked tooth taken out, all the staff were very friendly, his dentist was amazing, made my son, my partner and i feel very comftable and handled our 4 year old extremely well!!!

Negative experience: My 6 year old daughter was referred here for sedation. The whole experience felt patronising, Dr Varsani wasn't especially pleasant or reassuring, given that my daughter was very nervous. She seemed impatient and keen to get home. After already putting my daughter through having the anaesthetic, she gave up on completing the treatment because my daughter was crying. Dr. Varsani decided that meant she was uncooperative and that she would need to have the treatment in the hospital. Strange place, wouldn't recommend it.

Fantastic experience: My 9 year old autistic son had a tooth removal and filling this morning with Chartwell. The team were absolutely incredible with him and his additional needs. They talked him through necessary parts and made it fun. I felt reassured as a parent at all times and the whole procedure was super quick. My son felt no pain at all (he asked to take the magic air and pilot mask home haha!) and spent the entire time laughing at everything that was going on. He’s super excited for the tooth fairy to come this evening and loved his little magic pot for his tooth and the mine-craft stickers. Thank you again!! (Only constructive comment I will mention, is that the practice could be abit more colourful and inviting, giving it a comforting feel for patients!)

Fantastic experience: I’m 51 and have a 6 1/2 year-old son. Chartwell dental have a fantastic team. I do however have to highly commend Dr Sepehr Rezaei-ochghaz. I’m finding it hard to find the words but his whole approach was so engaging and my son had quite a deep filling WITHOUT being aware that was happening. Dr Sepehr engaged him about his favourite toys, cartoons, school and honestly, my son has walked into the house saying “I LOVE THE DENTIST”. Admittedly I’ve had experience of being shamed as a patient and as a parent in the past, but not at Chartwell. Dr Sepehr’s approach was full of positivity and empowering the patient to look after their teeth the best. Seriously, this has to go down as THE BEST dental visit I’ve had in all my years. This review may be a bit gushing, but the high praise is honest and well deserved. I actively went online to leave this review without being asked. To look at my son’s tooth, you can’t even see where he did the filling, (compared to his other filling). Great work and love the positivity. Seriously, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Dr C Kafian and Dr I Babbar removed our 7 yr old sons supernumerary tooth yesterday in the surgery under inhulation sedation. Both Dr's were excellent at explaining what was going on to me and my son, they calmed him when he was experiencing the numbing feeling and they couldn't have done anymore to give him a pleasant experience. Fantastic experience: I was referred for tooth extraction under sedation as I sorry from extreme Dentist anxiety. I think I may be one of the worst they have encountered. Chartwell were so kind, understanding and patient - went above and beyond to carry out my extraction after having a panic attack at the chair and my BP going through the roof - I even managed to insult the dentist - but at no time did their professionalism drop - they calmed me to a stage where my procedure could be carried out - for which I am truly grateful - at one point I had 2 nurses, 2 dentists and my husband in the room, I would highly recommend Chartwell and if I needed to have any further work under sedation - hope they would see me again and carry out my treatment

I received sedation today to have fillings done, I had no pain what so ever and they really made me comfortable and at ease, I couldn’t thank Dr Cyrus Kafian and Dr Hiral Varsani and all the staff at Chartwell enough they are amazing at their job! This is the best experience I’ve had I highly recommend Chartwell dental

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth removed and was really anxious, but the staff were amazing. They really put me at ease and were very gentle - I barely felt the anaesthetic injections and the tooth was out within minutes with no pain. One of the best dental experiences I’ve had.

Fantastic experience: Got referred here to have tooth extraction as I have complex health conditions, Completely painless as dentist used a freeze spray. I didn’t feel the injection or the extraction at all. Very well looked after. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I couldn't be more impressed with this place and the service received which was outstanding. My 6 year old needed to have a tooth extraction. I didn't sleep for days before the procedure as was concerned about the day. When we arrived they took my child to the room and there were 4 lovely ladies - that talked to him, asked him silly little questions, sang to him whilst the procedure was happening. Within minutes the tooth was out and my child didn't even notice!!! The support and care of the team with my child was exceptional. I don't normally do reviews, but think so important when it comes to trying to relieve a parent. Definitely recommend from my situation.
