Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with the hygienist and dentist - the reception staff were so welcoming and chatty - lots of children in and was lovely to see how caring they were with them ( some of whom were nervous about seeing the dentist ) Hygienist was very gentle and gave me advice and didn’t hurt ! Dentist was running early and I went straight in - no problems and again chatty and made me feel comfortable . Overall a really wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Five stars as its hard to fault a dental practice that gives you a warm welcome at reception, Dentists and Dental Nurses that put you at ease and talk you through the procdure, treatment and aftercare whilst being happy to spend the time to answer any questions you have. Negative experience: The dentists are great but does anyone else find the receptionists so unwelcoming and rude? Like you have interrupted their conversation and pissed them off? If NHS dentists weren’t so rare I would not go here. The receptionists are so awful and unfriendly.

Fantastic experience: The dentists nurses and reception are very caring and helpful. I have just had 3 teeth taken out and an immediate denture fitted. Fantastic experience: Great Practice, lovely staff

Negative experience: I have been coming here for nearly 40 years. I wouldn't normally post something but I feel so disappointed with how this surgery has declined. I recently had an appointment cancelled by them which is fine but trying to phone and make another appointment was hard work. After trying umpteen times I finally got through to an uncaring receptionist. My check up was ridiculous- just a quick look in my mouth, no probing around as normally, it literally lasted around 3 minutes. The receptionists are so unprofessional and rude, one was wearing a crop top and tracksuit bottoms. What has happened to standards? The previous owner was very good and professional and would never have allowed this. I am looking for a new dentist now. I would rather go private than risk this practice. While I was there a lady was complaining about how she has spent 2 months of pain following treatment and requested a different dentist. That confirmed it to me. Its such a shame as I have been going here for years.

Negative experience: I have been coming here as an NHS patient since childhood, and recently it has been taken over by a new dental group and I've really felt the quality of care sharply decrease. I went to ask about stains on my teeth as part of my checkup and they tried to sell me a £1.5k crown procedure. Going to another dentist, these stains were simply removed by the hygienist for ~£70.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Kasim Ullah, I previously feared the dentist and avoided going for quite some time after experiencing severe toothache it was time. Super quick process to register, reception staff are very friendly, as soon as I entered the room with Kasim Ullah he made me feel at ease instantly with his calm presence and polite nature I almost forgot I was at the dentist after discussing treatment I then went onto having a tooth extraction i instantly felt his warmth went entering the room his attention to detail throughout the process has been amazing I was made to feel welcome and cared for. I can confirm I now feel much less anxious about ever going to the dentist. He goes above and beyond the very next day I received a telephone call from Kasim Ullah to check how I was small acts of kindness really can make someone's day I cannot fault him in anyway I wish all dentists were as kind and caring as him that way everyone would get to experience his kindness and compassion I am certain he makes the world a better place

Fantastic experience: I have just had root canal surgery on my front tooth and then it filled in the result is amazing and I feel much better now that I have a full front tooth and I can smile with more confidence and they were very considerate as I’m terrified of the dentist Thanks so much

Fantastic experience: With a raging abscess at boiling point, I contacted my dental practice, Freedom Dental in Cheadle Hulme, only to be informed that they have recently changed to become a private practice. However, they told me they have a sister practice, Heaton Mersey Dental, and they was a possibility I could register with them as an NHS patient. After a few minutes on the phone with Sadie who explained in detail the procedure to facilitate this, I was their latest patient within a couple of hours! Thank you Sadie for your professionalism, knowledge and a speedy outcome!!!

Negative experience: I'm desperately trying to change practice. My dentist is fab but the staff behind the counter constantly make me feel like I'm a nuisance to them.

Fantastic experience: First consultation as a new patient and I was very pleased with the thorough examination of my teeth and oral health. Everyone in the practice was very friendly and helpful. Dr Sattar put me very much at ease and explained thoroughly what my options were concerning a problem with one of my teeth. Thank you all very much.

Positive experience: I have been a patient at the practice for over 40 years and have always been a happy customer. However I am still at a loss as to how, under previous ownership, my dentist deemed a scale and polish a necessary treatment covered by the NHS fee, whereas the new dentist doesnt deem it necessary despite having chronic gum disease, so now I have to pay an additional £49 per hygienist appt for a scale and polish. There was no discussion about this, my treatment plan just changed along with the ownership.

Fantastic experience: I've not had an excessive wait for a regular check up and when I had an issue recently, though not with my regular dentist I was seen the same day. The receptionists are helpful and try to work with times and dates to suit you. My dentist is very patient and reassuring- would recommend

I would also like to say how amazing Nina (the temporary hygienist) was as I am a very nervous patient and she was very kind and patient with me :) i know she is covering for maternity but so hope she stays with the practice.

Fantastic experience: Great dentist

Negative experience: Extremely poor communication. I booked in for a filling to be told two hours before the appointment that I hadn't had a treatment plan, and that this wasn't put together in my first consultation (which I paid £70 for). They therefore told me I couldn't have the filling and would pay an extra £40 for the treatment plan. Overall shoddy Comms between dentists and receptionists and I wouldn't bother. especially if you're paying more for private, you expect a better experience. I was also told my root is dead and I'd need a root canal which has subsequently turned out to be false.

Fantastic experience: Had a 3pm appointment today and was called in before I could reach my seat in the waiting area! Was back out again within ten minutes after a full check-up with x-rays and a scale!! Dr Yassir has been my dentist for a few years now and I always have such a pleasant experience! I'd say I'm a very average, mundane patient but she always remembers me. The dental assistant/ hygienist was also very friendly! Hopefully they are there for a long while! Thanks guys!

Positive experience: First time visiting dentist as a new patient . Staff were polite . Dentist was nice too. Only downside is I had my 14 month old daughter with me in the pram and there is no access via a ramp . Had to climb 4-5 steps up to the door which was a bit awkward .

Fantastic experience: I had horrendous toothache (infected wisdom tooth) whilst away on holiday on 6th April. I rang freedom dental practice in the morning and within 15 minutes had a call back and an appointment arranged at the Heaton Mersey practice for the same afternoon. Cannot thank both practices enough for the quick treatment, very grateful to Sue at Freedom Dental and Dr Sattar at Heaton Mersey.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful experience of this dental practice. My first appointment post-covid (with new dentist) lasted less than 5 minutes, with nothing more than a cursory check. My second appointment I was told that I had a wobbly tooth to keep an eye on. On my third appointment I asked for the tooth to be checked and a completely different tooth was noted as wobbly! Tried to upsell me to the hygienist and have a palate created to correct my bite (another 'new' problem that was found from nowhere!). I then accidently missed my fourth appointment - having received no email or text confirmation of when it was. Last week I had to call to reschedule my latest appointment due a poorly child and have now been informed that I am no longer a patient at the practice. I have been going to see Dr Milne for 20 years, but since he left the service has been terrible. AVOID!

Negative experience: After several appointments and eventually spending close to £100,00 for a crown I was exceptionally disappointed that the dentist didn’t scale and polish my teeth! Are they now so precious that this can’t be done ? Does it stop their holidays in the sun and skiing holidays ? I suppose a Doctor couldn’t give a plaster for a cut! An A&E appointment might be needed .. very very sad

Fantastic experience: I really appreciatethe fact that after a comprehensive review of my teeth I was offered the opportunity to return for an appointment to have the careful removal of a faulty part of one of my teeth which was brilliantly executed causing no pain at all. I was very grateful to have been treated by a very skilled dentist who knew exactly what to do! I will be delighted to return in six months time for a checkup!
