Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this dental practice for 50 years and have always been treated well. Recently it has changed to Anglesey Dental but has kept Karan and his wife. Karan is great he always explains everything so clearly and he has a lovely personality. I found the receptionist very friendly and helpful

Negative experience: They send reminders stating you will be removed if you don't book appointments. They also constantly cancel your appointments last minute to book in more profitable appointments. After that you get another cheeky reminder on how important it is to go see the dentist. People have to book time off work for these appointments. But you don't care.This is the worse clinic ever!

Positive experience: Damira cancelled my appointment 3 times. 2 times on the day when I turned up for the appointment and once in advance so I could rebook. It took me about 4 months to finally get my checkup appointment. Nice friendly staff when I did get seen though.

Negative experience: This practice is a one BIG joke. I had my appointments cancelled twice now, half an hour before the scheduled time. First time they said “one of our dentist has left…” Second time it was “we don’t have any light upstairs and we can’t see anything”… Now everyone would know that this is a LIE! What really happened was this: During my first appointment with them- young dentist named Joshua was trying really hard to make me take £1000 of credit to fix my tooth! According to him THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY FOR MY TOOTH TO “SURVIVE”. I said “Yes “ for the start! Very pleased and grateful Joshua quickly got me a nice schedule for the future for my treatment! Few days later, I realised that I can’t afford another £90 payment on my monthly bills and I have informed them that I will not be taking any financing and I wish to have my tooth fixed with alternative and cheaper options. After this my appointments have been cancelled. They don’t reply to my emails and when I try to talk to them NOBODY KNOWS WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT. I will be reporting this practice to right authorities and I will be taking this case further.

Negative experience: Worst dentist! Cancelled multiple times without any notice. My daughter had her first appointment today, we wanted her to have a good experience, so we told so many benefits about going to a dentist. When we arrived, they cancelled again… without any notice. We even took my daughter out of school early to make the appointment.

Negative experience: I had an appointment today with my 4-year-old son. I received a text message confirming the visit, and even got a call the day before asking me to confirm it again. The appointment was for 4PM, so we rushed straight from school as we live quite far away. When we arrived, the receptionist seemed surprised and said there was no appointment booked for my son. She was very unhelpful and quite unfriendly — not even a smile. I ended up feeling like it was my fault for coming at all. My little boy wasn’t even allowed to use the toilet. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed with Repeated Last-Minute Cancellations I’m very disappointed with the service at Damira Anglesea Dental Practice. My daughter’s appointments have now been cancelled twice at the last minute, with no proper notice or courtesy call. Most recently, the appointment was cancelled at 8:06am for an 8:30am slot — far too late to reasonably inform us, especially after preparing and arranging transport. A previous appointment on 12th June at 3:35pm was also cancelled on the same day at 2:46pm, just 49 minutes beforehand. Again, no call — just a text. We had to take time off school, organize transport, and prepare for each visit. This is not easy, especially when you’re on the NHS and trying to make the most of limited available appointments. To make matters worse, they never call back. This lack of communication and consideration is completely unacceptable from a healthcare provider. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. NHS patients deserve to be treated with the same respect and reliability as anyone else.

Negative experience: Worst dentist surgery I have ever been to. Stood in reception for 15 minutes before I was finally seen. Reception shoved the card machine in my face and said that will be £27.40! I had already told them in the forms I filled out online that I get free dental care. Was told to wait in the downstairs waiting room. Was finally seen 20 minutes late. Was in the dentist's room for 5 minutes. Dentist told me to book another appointment for the next day to get teeth cleaned, I asked if he could do it now but was told 'no'. Went to reception and was told I would have to pay for a hygiene appointment, I declined. When I arrived home I emailed Damira to take me off their books.

Positive experience: Inconvenient at the dentist only works two days a week so trying to get an appointment to see her that doesn't clash will work commitments and being that you transferred me to this practice from one that just run the corner now I have to travel to makes you a little more inconvenient. Negative experience: A day before my 6 monthly routine dental appointment it was canceled because they did not have a dentist. My next appointment a few days later was canceled due to the dentist going home sick (this can't be helped). On the morning of the 3rd appointment a filling came out. I go to Damira Anglesea to inform them, the receptionist changes my appointment for 4 days time with a 30 minute appointment as I had my daughters wedding the following Saturday. The discussion between the two receptionists and myself about getting my tooth fixed before the wedding. On the day I go and sit in the chair and was told by the dentist that my appointment had been changed by the contact centre to 15 minutes and my filling could not be done. A new appointment was made for the 25th September a month away. So I go to my daughters wedding with a large hole in my tooth and my weeks Holiday away possibly ruined with a collapsing tooth because the contact centre changing the length of my appointment. I have spoken to other people and they have also had appointments changed or canceled. Receptionists very pleasant, dentist nice, dental contact centre crap.

Negative experience: I was waiting 20 minutes past my scheduled time I arrived 20 minutes early, I have never felt so much pain and after researching what my problem is I should have been offered some sort of numbing gel I am still in loads of pain with my teeth and petrified of coming back in 3 month, I get that I needed work done as I haven’t been able to get a dentist in a long time but the pain I had to sit through was excruciating

Negative experience: Arrived 20 mins early for my appointment. Waited for ages and after 30 mins late I spoke to reception. Waited another 10 mins then was shocked to be told I had been overlooked and needed to make another appointment. Finally settled on a date & time in September but on arriving home I found a text confirmation of new appointment. It had wrong date, different to that I'd accepted! So had to ring surgery to get that sorted out. This was my first appointment as new patient so I am very disappointed in service!

Negative experience: Shocking! My ten year old had terrible toothache and I booked her in privately and it was cancelled, was in awful pain over the weekend, managed to get an appointment Tuesday, I knew she had a cavity, I was unable to take her due to working, but her dad took her not knowing the full situation. The dentist told him that it was due to the third molar growing, no Xrays no mention of the cavity, I was so upset. I had to take her to another dental practice as she was in agony, and she had a thorough check, and the dentist pointed out the cavity to me, and did an xray which showed it was also under the filling, and prescribed antibiotics.

Fantastic experience: New practice and its easy to park, either on driveway on front or in Sainsburys big cark free for 90mins. Didnt have to wait long and all my info was checked in online before. Small friendly dental practice. Next appointment agreed and was sent a text so I could add it on my online calendar. Seen by a nice young dentist called Josh he made me feel at ease which was good. I would be to recommend this dental clinic.

Negative experience: After waiting 40 mins for consultation then the same procedure as previous 2 appointments then being told no filling can be done as it's first time this dentist has seen me! Surely there are records. Then to make another appointment in 6 months. No mention of a filling. Since January, 3 appointments plus 2 which have been cancelled. Nowhere near getting a new denture which was the initial intention. To say I am not happy is an understatement. It's a farce.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted by the service I've not receiving since joining this practice. I've waited over 3 mths to get an appointment, had 2 cancelled and had to pay for a private examination for a major gum infection. Now after travelling from London at great cost to myself my appointment has been cancelled with an hours notice and I'm being told that the next appointment is September. Absolutely disgusting

Negative experience: I made an appointment for my son and waited for it for over a month. I noted that the baby tooth was rubbing against his gums and causing pain and bleeding... two days before the visit, they canceled it and wanted to give me a new date in over a month. My and my husband's visits were also postponed... and despite the fee, the tooth was not cured. I do not recommend it!!!

Fantastic experience: Whilst I cannot comment on the practice as a whole I can make comment on both the reception staff member who appreciates the problems I have at managing to get my parent to appointments due to her disabilities and does her very best to accommodate them often at short notice. Their dentist Dr Joshua Tung is a genuinely caring person and very patient with my parent , not rushing and has a relaxing manner. A referral was needed to Practice Plus urgently. The appointment began at 3.30pm and Dr Tung had made the referral before we had even left the building with online confirmation following from PP immediately on receiving. Seamless. Great work.

Negative experience: After a hygienist appointment, the pain in one of my tooth continued longer than normal. After a visual check noticed the filling on the affected tooth was a different shade to the filling on the adjacent tooth indicating it had been scraped. That evening the filling fell out completely. Went back to the practice, dentist claimed he only worked around the filling to clean the teeth and hadn't touched the affected filling. A COMPLETE BAREFACED LIE Spoke with the practice manager, she was very dismissive of my concerns. Her take on it was, it did not happen during the appointment or on my way home and happened long time afterwards (5-6 hours) the practice is not responsible. Now I have to get time off from work again and pay for a new filling. Was given an appointment next week with the same dentist, which I refused. The next available appointment with a different dentist is August. Will be looking for a new practice once this work is done. VERY POOR PATIENT CARE AND SERVICE

Fantastic experience: I attended my first appointment at the practice this week. It was the best experience i have ever had at a dental practice. Josh the dentist was very thorough with my examination and gave me some good advice about where my teeth could improve. The cleaning and polishing that followed was the best i have ever experienced, normally my teeth are quite sensitive and i havent had a hygienist clean for a few years so there was some work to do and it was done in a very efficient and empathetic way without making my gums bleed or feeling any sensistivity, Highly recommend

Negative experience: Not my experience, but my daughter after receiving an email from you telling her to book it was told she hadn’t been for three years. I can no longer come which she replied. Well we had Covid anywhere open and then when you did open back up, she tried on several occasions and so had other members of my family, and myself, which we were all told the same thing that it was emergencies only unless we had a toothache we could not be seen and the receptionist reply was that’s not true. We were open which my daughter is not a liar, and as my other daughter myself and my mother had all try to book appointments and all been told it was emergencies only, my daughter asked what am I to do now she said you’ll have to find another NHS dentist which we all know is no it’s not going to happen or come here and pay to go private and I also know of other patients of yours who also haven’t been for three years because of Covid and because your receptionist wouldn’t give him a team because it was an emergency appointments only, but they have got an appointment. I’m very disappointed and my daughter can’t get a appointment with any other dentist and she is in agony

Positive experience: Happy with dental care, but prior recent administration online, from Damira, was confused. The reminder texts created a different dentist / therapist and at 10 minutes after the actual pre-arranged time. Eventually, after I returned their text from last November with the correct therapist and time, I received confirmation of last Nivember booking. No apology given.

Fantastic experience: Great service, friendly dental staff and Dr Aleksandra and Nurse Erin are particularly effective and helpful their friendly demeanour and time effective appointments make going to the dentist a breeze!

Negative experience: Not happy with this dentist at all, went all the way there from Weston to get my sons teeth checked, got there on time went into dentist and there was a queue of about 4 people in front of us, we got to the desk to be turned away and told can’t be seen as dental nurse was closing! Poor service put me off! Should have more staff on desk! My poor son now has to wait another month to se seen! Disappointed really.

Negative experience: Would give a zero, claimed my mother had numerous filling but didn't pay for them (against their rules to have treatment without paying first) she also doesn't have the teeth for filling gs and not a single white one in her head (They said all white ones) then sent her to debt collectors when she wouldn't pay for something she hasn't had done. Also the day they said she had all these fillings done she paid for a check up!!!! We emailed them and no response just straight to debt collectors. (I did email the manager but they didn't respond)

Negative experience: It's very bad service given at Anglesea rd branch in Southampton used to be at bruncwick since it's moved to Anglesea rd it's over crowded no enough spaces in waiting room I waited 1 hour to see dentists. I never had problem before since it's moved to deferent place, there no parking at all.

Fantastic experience: Joy the dentist is very informative in what she is doing. Very patient and gentle. Lovely welcome from Fiona the receptionist. Clean practice and short waiting times Highly reccomend.

Fantastic experience: Very convenient for work, parked in Sainsbury's car park, very prompt, called while I was standing at reception desk. First time at this dentist as I used to go to City Centre practice. Reception team helpful and dentist very nice.

Positive experience: The dentist Joy and her assistant were great! Really friendly and my son seemed pleased to be sat in the chair. Can’t say the receptionist Fiona was either; she was rude. Typing on her computer, didn’t want to look up and say sorry won’t be a moment. Just left me and my son waiting awkwardly.. Our appointment was at 3:45 but wasn’t seen till nearly 4:15.. unfortunately I had to go back and speak to the rude receptionist about where my son was in the queue. Even then she had us waiting while she typed on her computer. I wouldn’t go back to this dentist because of the experience with the receptionist.
