Fantastic experience: I recently found Helen's bay dental on a friend's recommendation. I had complete dental implants done in izmir Turkey 5 year's ago. My upper denture was becoming loose or had broken and I was dreading taking i long expensive trip back to have them replaced so I decided to pay doctor small visit hopping he could help me. Initially I expected i would have to replace and pay for the whole upper bridge again which as we all know runs into thousands of pounds. After my first appointment to my relief doctor small felt sure he could help, and it turned out that the problem was simple to repair. Dr small saved me so much time, discomfort let alone money that I couldn't believe it, most dentists i have had the unfortunate experience of meeting seemed only to be interested in profits, but not this Gentlemen from the outset both him and his staff were only interested in what was best for me and made me feel so at ease with they're professionalism. I can't thank the whole team enough and will be recommending Helen's bay dental team to everyone i know they are fantastic thank you guys Brilliant ♥️

Fantastic experience: Heather Tipping My Dental Implant story. Before opting for dental implants I was having terrible trouble with my dentures and was desperate for a reliable solution to prevent them falling down or moving when I was eating or having a conversation. I was terrified at the idea of having what was left of my teeth removed and replaced with implants and a fitted bridge. I initially opted to have the bottom teeth replaced with a bridge and was going to go with new fitted dentures for the top. I was really anxious before my first appointment for treatment but this soon subsided thanks to the team managing my progress through the process and the way pain was controlled and the treatment managed. I was impressed with the ease of the process and with the results of my bottom teeth. When the opportunity to also have my top teeth done was presented I had no problem opting to have implants and a bridge again. This wasn’t as straightforward as before because I needed to have bone grafting to support the implants. My upper jaw had significantly shrunk having been without my own teeth for a number of years. The thought of this would have stopped me even considering having it done prior to my first treatment. However my experience with the team and the standard of care given made entering into the process for a second time an easy choice and I’m delighted with the end result. People have really noticed the difference and comment on the improvement to my appearance. Thanks again the Gareth and all the team at Helens Bay Dental.

I have been a patient of the Practice since Gareth established it some 26 years ago and have no hesitation in recommending him, his professional colleagues and staff at “Helen’s Bay” for private attentive caring dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I knew I needed to get my teeth sorted out before it was to late. My regular dentist is great but could only do so much, dental implants was suggested, but the practice did not do this. I had not met anyone who had this procedure done. So, over the next year, I researched and visited Dental implant practices, quite daunting, but was able to build up a picture by talking through with them what I would need done. A full row of top teeth was the outcome. Next where to go, HBDP was the last Dental Practice I visited and I knew after talking it over with them, this is where I want to be. Everything was explained fully, I could be sedated or stay awake, I decided to be awake, for someone who has had fear of dentists all her life I decided just to go for it. And from the moment they extracted all what was left of my top front teeth to getting my permanent teeth in was a breeze as they say. I felt no pain whatsoever throughout all procedures, getting in temporary bridge to getting in the final Permanent bridge. I want to thank Doctor Gareth Small and all his team, from the receptionist to the Hygienist. I was treated with sensitivity and was so relaxed, I was like a new person going to the dentist. At the end of my journey I walked away with a brilliant set of teeth which far exceeded my expectations and eating out will become a pleasure again. All thanks to the brilliant team of Doctor Gareth Small who I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to make an appointment for a consultation and take it from there. Fantastic experience: I'm going to use one word for Helen's Bay Dental practice and that is professional. Let me explain: for over 15 years, I couldn't eat on the right hand side of my mouth due to the loss of two bottom teeth and one top tooth. So an appointment was booked and x-rays were taken. I was then shown the x-rays and the team explained what they could do for me - e.g. the two bottom implants would be relatively easy. The top implant would be more awkward and that I might need a bone graft, plus they would have to use two screws to hold the implant in place. So a time was arranged for the procedure to be done. The day before the procedure I was very stressed about it as you would be. The moment I walked into the dental surgery my stress levels dropped, from the receptionist to the dental surgeon, I knew I was in good hands and in fact, I almost fell asleep on the chair! After the procedure was finished, they explained how to take care of my mouth and I was then given all the stuff to look after my mouth, including the necessary medication. I was told how there would be a follow up phone call to make sure everything was alright and there was! Now there was just the wait for my implants to bed in, which can take six months or more depending on your bone structure in your gums. So to keep a long story short, I now have three new teeth and for the first time in 15 years, I can eat on the right hand side of my mouth; it's fantastic. Again I can only use one word for Helen's Bay Dental practice and that is professional. Andrew Bell

Fantastic experience: I had been considering some cosmetic dental work for a time but was always put off by the price and concern that I wouldn't get the desired results. I've recently decided to take the leap and came to Helen's Bay Dental as a local, highly-regarded practice to see what could be done. My initial appointment allowed for a full check over of my teeth, as well as x-rays and 3D scans of my teeth and bite for discussion of what changes I'd like to make. I felt in excellent hands with Glenda and Sarah as their professional manner put me at ease and kept me informed of each step of the consultation as well as the chat of all options available to me and what they would mean. I have since been back for a hygienist appointment with Lorraine which again left me feeling extremely comfortable with her work and tips for maintenance which will help my oral healthcare in the long run. I'm excited for my next appointment which will let me see the potential affect of the cosmetic work I was interested in, and will give me the chance to see a mock-up before committing to the full thing - yet another benefit of a practice that understands individuals as well as their dental care. *FOLLOW UP* I went ahead with the veneers I have been planning, and can only say the usual attention to detail and client-care was more than present, and I am OVERJOYED with my new smile!!! Fantastic experience: I attended HB Dental with problem gums and sensitive, discoloured and wobbly teeth. After quite lengthy treatment, my gums are in excellent condition and my teeth no longer move. Initially I thought I was facing Dental Implants but instead I now have had 4 porcelain veneers fitted- it’s totally worth it! Prior to my treatment, I could barely laugh or smile without covering my mouth. Nor could I manage a cold drink due to the sensitivity - I could barely face the wind without wincing. I can assure you that the entire team is super professional and very welcoming and friendly. They have the most advanced technology and impressively, it was all pain free. I could go on forever about how happy I am with my new smile. My teeth were discoloured and I had also been thinking about Invisalign for minor alignment changes. The porcelain veneers replaced the need for Invisalign, and have provided instant relief for my sensitivity. Gareth is a perfectionist and his attention to aesthetics combined with his skill has made me a very happy human. Well done
