Fantastic experience: Anna & team are fantastic, for someone who was smacked by a dentist on my initial visit as a youngster (not this practice), still anxious on attendance, always made to feel at ease. Just had whitening and work completed on two front teeth, really pleased with outcome and cheaper than having two crowns.

Fantastic experience: Monday morning I went to the ripley dental centre having chipped a front tooth Friday evening , was not sure if I would be able to see anyone , but within 40 minutes I was being assessed by Anna , who checked the damaged tooth , smoothed the sharp edges and as no further treatments were needed at present , I was able to go and get on with my day , Thank you Anna

Fantastic experience: I have been going to The Ripley Family Dental Centre for just over 2 years and I am a patient of Dr Shah. I have had several procedures done, all of them being explained to me fully and all costs have been detailed. I personally cannot fault them. They make me feel at ease so I no longer dread going to the dentist. All hygienests that I have seen have also been great, giving me guidance to ensure a healthy mouth. And yes, they are expensive, but so are all other private dentists. So for me, they are just excellent.

Fantastic experience: I could not put into words how grateful I’m am that this dentist took me on. Fantastic experience: Since Anna Jankowska joined Ripley Family DentaI Centre I have been able to manage my extreme phobia of visiting the dentist. She is patient, kind and takes the time to explain everything about the treatment. She is absolutely brilliant when giving injections. For the first time I have begun to trust a dentist and although I still have a phobia ,I can cope now. The assistants are equally pleasant and the receptionists approachable and extremely helpful and friendly. From someone who had numerous nightmares prior to an appointment I can only say thank you so very much. I can highly recommend this dentist .

Positive experience: Staff very friendly & efficient, was seen within 10mins of arriving for appointment. Dr Anna explains everything & always asks if your happy with it, I have a spinal problem, she did her upmost to make me comfortable & asked more than once if I was OK, she's a very good dentist & wouldn't hesitate to recommend her .
Fantastic experience: I am a nervous person when it comes to dentists. The RFDC are very professional and understanding, they listened to what I was asking and saying and eased my fears, although I doubt they will ever disappear. They explained information so I understood what was being said. Jemma made me feel so calm. My dentist Mr Jamin Shah gave commentary as he proceeded with my treatment so I knew what was happening. Sophie his assistant was brilliant too. The whole atmosphere at this dentist is calm and welcoming. I have been very pleased with my treatment so far. Thank you to all of you at RFDC. My next step is to finally get the ball rolling for implants. Which have been long overdue.

Fantastic experience: So far I've had excellent service from The Ripley Family Dental Centre. Just starting with Invisalign. Communication is great and Dr Shah has been really knowledgeable and easy to speak to about any issues arising. All staff have been polite & helpful. Definitely recommend :-)

Fantastic experience: It was a Hygienist appointment. I was a little bit late due to many traffic works , Should’ve started earlier. Anyway, Two ladies set about me in good humour and efficiently cleaned by less than perfect teeth with enthusiasm and care. Fantastic experience: This is a great Dental Centre. I have been going here for years. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. You feel cared for and my dentist always gives good advice and never pushes for unnecessary treatments.
Positive experience: I can’t fault my dentist, Mr. Shar – he’s excellent, professional, and always provides a high standard of care. The practice manager, Jemma, is also fantastic – warm, friendly, and approachable. She’s always my first port of call if I need anything, and she makes the experience so much more positive. However, I feel the reception team could benefit from some customer service training. In particular, Amy comes across as unfriendly, rarely smiles, and at times has been unnecessarily rude. It doesn’t create the welcoming atmosphere you’d hope for when visiting. As the saying goes, treat people how you’d like to be treated – and I think a little more kindness and courtesy at reception would go a long way. Overall, the dental care itself is excellent, but I would love to see improvements in how patients are greeted and supported at the front desk,and I hope that my comments regarding this issue will be taken on board so that necessary improvements can be implemented moving forward.

Fantastic experience: Dr Shah is excellent, he always explains treatment options & the associated costs to allow you to decide the appropriate way forward. He is caring, very skilled & professional... highly recommended.

Negative experience: Since going private there seems to be a pattern of appointments being cancelled on a Thursday and Friday by the practice. If patients did this all the time you would be charged or kicked out the practice. The service has gone downhill and your checkup is literally no longer than 5 minutes. The cost to make your appointment is £20 then pay another £20 after your appointment, then they try and make you book another appointment straight away which costs £20. Unfortunately now it’s all about money making and not providing the service. I would avoid this practice and try n find a NHS as they are lots better and better service provided

Fantastic experience: Amazing care from start to finish. So happy with the results.
Fantastic experience: Two appointments in one day. As a nervous patient I go in worried and come out wondering what all my fuss was about! Mr Shah and Sophie show so much patience and understanding. Everything was explained from start to finish. The treatment, a tricky filling, as always was painless (even the injections), calm, chatty and extremely professional. I also saw Jonathan, the hygienist and his lovely nurse Tia for a clean and polish, again they put me at ease straight away, made me smile and the clean was easy and my teeth look so much better! Thank you as always to everyone at RFDC
Negative experience: I have just phoned to rebook and appointment which I unfortunately missed. I was told I would have to pay 15 pounds or wait till December! This despite me explaining I had pain in my jaw. Honestly this should be seen as a priority given it could be indicative of something wrong. They are happy to collect nearly 19 pounds a month for denplan from me, but when I need them couldn't be bothered. Very disappointed given how much I have paid over the last couple of years. Honestly if your going to charge to rearrange an appointment it should be made clear at the point of signing someone up.

Negative experience: I have been using this practice since it opened and even before. I was disappointed when it became a private business. I am 81 now and feel the monthly cost prohibitive . My plate snapped the night before a family birthday weekend and I had to resort to an unknown ‘mender’. I happened to have an appt at Ripley a week after this. I explained what had happened and that it was not sitting quite comfortably. The dentist offered to take a little out of one side and did so. The next morning I could feel that the plate was cracked and there was a small hole in it. Again it was the weekend and I was due to go to friends. So, I again went to the ‘mender’. Again it is not quite comfortable and I am not prepared to ask for an expensive appointment, which may again go wrong! I have already paid out £90 to have it mended. I wonder what the idea of taking out too much of the plate was!!

Fantastic experience: I have always felt comfortable at this dental practise. The environment is pleasing and spotlessly clean as you'd expect. I find Dr Jaimin Shah a very competent dental surgeon and very approachable. While treatment expensive, as a private patient, I suspect the cost is in line with other similar practices.

Negative experience: First appointment went well with Rachel gave me a price for everything that needs doing , then tried to have tooth out with someone else, absolutely awful, don't understand why I had two injection, still cost me 90 yet didn't have the tooth out, everything was meant to be in the price given but no then had two different prices for 4 fillings, now still left with my awful tooth I actually went for, still haven't got my smile for weddings

Fantastic experience: My second 5 star review for RFDC. Had a tooth extracted after I lost a filling (there was nothing left to refill) and a dental implant fitted. The whole procedure was explained to me, and Dr Shah and the staff went about their business. Really pleased with the result, and surprisingly little pain throughout. As I said previously, the staff at RFDC really try and put you at your ease. They do everything possible to make the visit as pain free as possible, explaining what they're doing and why. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My Dentist and Hygienist are both very thorough so I feel that I can trust their judgement and take their advice regarding the treatment and care of my teeth.
Fantastic experience: I began the Invisalign treatment in February 2024 to straighten my uneven teeth. Under the guidance of Dr Anna Jankowska , my aligners were checked and amended regularly. Brilliant process..nobody knew the aligners were there as they are completely see through. All my teeth were straight by the end of November and the aligner attachments removed early December. Best Christmas present to myself ever!!

Negative experience: Had my original appointment for December 16th cancelled in October so rebooked for 6th December 4.20pm. I arrived just before 4.30pm busy traffic. (I finish work at 4pm)To be told I wouldn't be seen as I was over 10minutes late my appointment was 4.15pm she said it was not 4.20pm. i cant get from my place of work without finishing earlier so wouldn't be 4.15pm. Showed receptionist my reminder email which confirmed 4.20pm. Was told reluctantly to sit upstairs in an empty waiting room. Was left for over 15minutes then finally seen. This said my dentist is lovely. But the receptionist needs a crash course in customer service.

Positive experience: Rated provisionally 4 as only had one visit for checkup so far.Hopefully we can raise to 5 as we were impressed with the dentist we had.
Fantastic experience: My experience from the start of my treatment has always been very courteous and helpful, from the receptionists as well as the dental surgeons. When in the past the required treatment had been more complicated than usual, I can honestly say that I felt comfortable enough. I'd never had any qualms about the treatment I had at that time nor since then, thanks to their conscientious work!
Positive experience: I have been using this dentist for around 20 years now. My only negative comment is that my NHS dentist became unavailable due to leaving the practice resulting in me having to take out a dental plan. I have gum disease and Meghan the hygienist was instrumental in suggesting I find a periodontist which I did. ( That costs me more money and have had two lots of surgery and deeper cleans with ongoing visits). I also have a stringent daily cleaning routine so we work together on my gums and teeth. I need regular cleaning so the dental plan covers 4 cleans a year for me which is what I need (I am paying less at Ripley with my dental plan than I was before on the NHS for the things I need) Meghan has been amazing looking after my teeth until I got set up on the plan, she advises, discusses, follows up from where we left off last time ( this reassures me that I am not just another person, she actually plans fir my visit). Thank you Meghan. My dentist now is Anna who is lovely she has made me a night time mouth guard and fitted me a beautiful crown in a broken tooth. Again I can’t fault her practice. Thank you Anna. Both are extremely professional, put me at ease and explain everything really clearly so I can make decisions. The reception staff are also very helpful when booked appointments etc. Not much we can do about the NHS situation, but my win is that after all the work I have so far managed to keep all of my teeth as a result of Meghans actions. The only reason I scored 4 is because of the NHS situation which is no fault of the Dentist. Big fat 5 for service.
Fantastic experience: Had a consultation with Dr Rachel Knowles . I’m terrified of dentists but Rachel put me totally at ease, everything about my treatment and my options was explained clearly and precisely .

Fantastic experience: I have recently been to see my dentist Dr. Jankowska and my Hygienist Meghan MacKay, both of whom are extremely friendly, professional and caring. Everyone I have come into contact there has been kind and welcoming and I would happily recommend this practice.
Positive experience: I'm really sceptical about this dentist and don't really trust it tbh. I called as a new patient to enquire about teeth whitening, and was given a price and told that I would need to pay a deposit to confirm my appointment but that my deposit would come off my whitening price. When I got to the practice the dentist confirmed one price and then reception gave me a completely different price again and then after I agreed to proceed with the treatment, I was then told my deposit would be on top of my whitening price not taken off, which again is completely the opposite to what I was told when booking my appointment. **Update** really happy that this was able to be resolved with the manager. Thank you for taking the time to speak to me and for amending things at my last appointment. My whitening treatment is going well. Thank you again Jemma.

Fantastic experience: After having negative experiences throughout the years I have always felt nervous going to the dentist, our previous dentist retired so it forced us to look for another, after much research Ripley Family Dental centre seemed to be the best for for us as a family, I cannot thank Laurie and her dental nurse enough, she has a real passion for what she does and nothing is too much trouble, she is caring and compassionate throughout all treatments, she is also very friendly. Both of my children have taken onboard everything she suggested from the first initial visit, as she gave sensible practical advice to them both. The receptionists are friendly also, I would definitely recommend Ripley Family Dental!!!

Fantastic experience: I have had Invisalign on both top and bottom teeth. I cannot thank DR Shah enough for giving me my smile . Fantastic experience: First time using this dental centre. My son had very painful abscess. Gave us an appointment straight away, was seen, diagnosed and provided antibiotics. Everyone we spoke to and saw were so kind and helpful and the cost was way less than I was expecting. Wonderful help.

Fantastic experience: Just finished and received my implant dentures today. It was well worth it they look and feel fantastic. Dr Shah, George and the whole team are amazing. Negative experience: Stopped providing NHS services in January, their way of informing patients was to send out an automated text with the words "NHS dental Update" and a link. So I found out in May that I no longer have a dentist. No referal elsewhere no attempt at helping their patients. Appalling

Negative experience: Was sent an email asking me to review my visit. I haven’t actually been because my appointment was cancelled via text
Fantastic experience: I was struggling with a tooth that needed removing, the surgery got me in ASAP sat me down and talked me through my options. Once we’d agree the best step forward I was booked in for the next day, and was in and out within 20 minutes. Definitely recommend this practice, speedy, caring & very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I get in a right tizz when I know I have to go to the dentist and in all honesty avoid going unless I really have to but having only visited once for an emergency, I Will genuinely go more regularly if Dr Jag is my new dentist because he was absolutely fantastic!! The whole team were great! Very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't even have to have any needles in my mouth which is my biggest fear. I broke my front tooth which was already capped when I was 10 years old and Dr Jag fixed it with such ease I walked out smiling from ear to ear. Thank you so much for making my experience a great one!!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a tooth extraction and dental implant carried out my Dr Shah. He carefully explained all the options available so I had an informed decision. Negative experience: Considering my son has had zero care provided by the dentist. He is now on his second tooth that will need removing since whenever he see's the dentist for our 4 min visit. All he gets told is to brush more (as if the twice a day he does isnt enough) and has ignored any problems starting which just eventually has lead to worse problems. Only to now be told the dentist we see is going private and wants paying, i can only assume now hes getting more money he may try to actually help.

Fantastic experience: My tooth snapped on a Friday afternoon and I thought I would not be seen until Monday. I rang on Saturday morning and was seen within an hour and the rest of the tooth was extracted. There is a bit of a wait for further treatment but I am really happy not to be in pain. I was treated with kindness and consideration by all staff and really appreciated it
