Fantastic experience: Went for my 6 month check up by Dr Abid and his assistant Sue they were pleasant as usual yet professional all my fillings are okay not like my previous dentist they kept coming out and the hygienist Emma has managed to keep my teeth clean and looking good so in all my advice is try EDC if you’re looking for quality and good service well done EDC and not forgetting the reception staff thank you a satisfied patient

Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed in the poor customer service if the receptionist on the NHS . They do not know how to speak to the patients. Why do they lack poor customer service? Why ? We pay our national insurance. Who ever owes this dentist please train your staff on how to deal with people. 0 stars for receptionist

Fantastic experience: Dr Abid Manzoor is a real God send, he is so friendly and funny, put me completely at ease and did my tooth extraction perfectly. I actually had NO pain even after the anaesthetic wore off. I'd been suffering for about 6 weeks at this point so honestly the relief was incredible. I also appreciated Dancing Queen playing while he did the extraction! While I can't quite say I was having the time of my life, I can definitely highly recommend Dr Manzoor and Edgerton Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Had a referral for a wisdom tooth removal , was dreading it but after meeting Dr Docrat and his assistant they had me laughing after a few minutes, they extracted my tooth whilst listening and singing to Abba ! Fantastic experience: Hi, I had appointment for a tooth extraction on Thursday 22nd May, on arrival receptionist was really nice, I saw Dr Docrat and his lovely assistant Stefania, what a lovely team they make. Numbed my tooth didnt feel a thing, waited back in waiting room for it to take full effect, called back in Dr Docrat explained a few things, ABBA music on ( brilliant) didn’t even realise he had pulled my tooth out ( didn’t feel a thing ) what a lovely calming experience I had thank you so much x x

Fantastic experience: I was referred here to have both lower wisdom teeth removed. On both visits, Dr. Docrat and Emma were absolutely phenomenal. The first visit I was an absolute nervous wreck, and I very nearly didn't have the extraction. However, Dr Docrat was so kind and calming and patient with me, and the extraction went without any hitch. The Abba music was also a help and made me smile. Whilst tooth extractions are not at all pleasant, I can whole heartedly recommend this clinic and the Doctors and staff. They were so kind, patient, and professional, and I can't thank them enough.

Both were outstanding and the older gentleman was very reassuring and positive. Felt nothing the entire time (until I'd got home lol). Fantastic experience: Cannot fault this place. Got seen in under a week from referral. I saw Dr Docrat, he was lovely. Ive had some issue with both dentists and anaesthetics before, he put my fears at rest within a couple of minutes, he explained thing well. He was cheerful throughout and I actually left laughing! Both him and his dental assistant were positive and attentive throughout.

My sister, who has additional needs, needed extensive treatment, which I thought might be quite a challenge for her. However, I can't thank Nadia, and her team, enough for the, skill, care, patience and dedication which was shown during her treatment. The outcome was excellent, something I wasn't sure would be possible. In summary, I would highly recommend this dental practice. Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from both the dental nurse who reassured my son and the dentist who explained the procedure and was very understanding towards his patient.

Negative experience: My partner visited this practice yesterday as a nhs patient and my partner has gum disease to her bottom teeth the dentist she saw interrupted everything she said and was told no funding was available for nhs patients until April. He wanted to clean her bottom teeth and because some are loose would have left her without teeth until April when he stated she could be seen again. She has been coming to this practice for years and has never been made to feel the way she did when we left.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Edgerton Dental Clinic to have a root removed. I was beyond nervous but Dr Docrat and Nikola made me feel relaxed and put my mind at ease. They explained everything to me and checked on me the whole time. I would definitely recommend this Practice. Thankyou x

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Abid Manzoor for a while now, and I can confidently say he is one of the best dentists I’ve ever visited. His technique is incredibly gentle, and I’ve never felt any discomfort during treatments—whether it’s a local anaesthesia injection or any other procedure. I’ve been to many dentists over the years, and with some, I’ve even experienced bruising from similar treatments, but Dr. Abid’s touch is so light that I never feel anything. He’s also fantastic at offering advice on dental care and treatment options, and he’s completely transformed my experience with dental pain. Thanks to him, I’m no longer struggling with the issues I once had. I’ll definitely continue seeing Dr. Abid for the foreseeable future and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent, compassionate dentist.

Fantastic experience: Had my 3rd wisdom tooth out today When I had 2 out with a different dentist, it hurt that hell, even with anesthetic. But when I had it done here, they had me wait for it to go completely numb and I literally couldn't feel a thing when they did it Staff were very reassuring aswell

Negative experience: I had an appointment made via my dentist. All was well and done via text, arrived early and parked in the car park which was for the dentists patients. Waited outside as was a bit early and a guy came out and asked me and someone else waiting to come in “are you an NHS referral” turns out I was and was asked to move the car out of the car park ? I said but I am coming here for an appointment and the guy from the dentist seem to take a bit of pride in saying “you are NHS” and can’t park here even though I had an appointment. I then challenged him and said “do you not get paid for my visit ?” to which he said they don’t get paid, then it was “we do but not a lot” It seems as they have a 2 tier system. He pointed out to me that its displayed on the website which all the bookings were don’t via text but I have had a quick look on the website and nothing about it “if you are NHS you can’t park here” he was going on and on about NHS been different and almost making it up as in “they don’t get paid but they do” What sort of place discriminates against patients like this ? If you have an appointment with a dentist and they are getting paid you have to park on a busy main road. I do feel for older people and people with mobility issues. Decided that if this is how they treated there customers would go elsewhere and left. Just not a nice place to deal with.

Negative experience: Our recent visit to this dental practice left us deeply disappointed. We came for an emergency NHS procedure, but the experience was overshadowed by poor prioritisation and a lack of compassion. Upon arrival, we parked in the largely empty car park, unaware that it was designated for private patients only. Despite the urgency of our visit, the fact that we had an 8-week-old baby, and the pouring rain, we were abruptly stopped on the stairs and instructed to move our car immediately. While I acknowledge that parking there was an error, the situation called for understanding and flexibility—neither of which were shown. The justification given was that the NHS doesn’t pay for parking, which is why NHS patients aren’t permitted to use it. This explanation, while clear, reflects a troubling prioritisation of policy over patient care. With only a handful of vehicles occupying a car park that can accommodate many more, the insistence on moving our car felt unnecessary and unkind under the circumstances. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time we’ve experienced unsatisfactory service from this practice. Past interactions over the phone have also been unfriendly and unwelcoming, even when inquiring about private treatments, which seems to be their main focus. As for the emergency NHS procedure, the treatment itself was carried out as expected, and we are grateful for that. However, the overall experience left us feeling undervalued as NHS patients. In summary, I cannot recommend this practice for NHS services, particularly in emergencies. If you’re seeking private dental care and don’t mind a lack of courtesy, this practice may suit you—but for those expecting empathy and patient-centered care, I advise looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I recently went here for a tooth extraction. I was very very nervous but Dr Docrat and nurse Ellie were so lovely. Lots of patience and a bit of Abba made me feel so much better. Would highly recommend going. Thank you to you both Sarah.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment at this practice via an emergency appointment and I am not a patient, however I had to comment on the lovely Dr Docrat, a lovely man who really made me feel at ease and less worried about my tooth extraction. The staff upstairs are so lovely.

Fantastic experience: It's rare I review anything online but this place deserves the 5 stars. After been referred by my dentist for a troublesome tooth I was greeted by reception staff with a smile. The wait wasn't long and i was a bag if nerves in that waiting room. My dentist on the day Dr Docrat I believe is brilliant! His humour and chat put me at ease and after a few pokes with the needle and some waiting for the magic to numb me completely I was in and out the chair in quick time didn't feel a thing. Both the Dentist & his assistant in the room are fab. If i ever need another tooth removed ill be sure I book here again.

Negative experience: Really awful dental practice. Rude receptionist. Scamming approach where they won't even tell you what services they offer or what price ranges of treatments are without you paying for the information. Go elsewhere. So much better services where they really try to help. Not just take money for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t had a dentist for a long time, I had an appointment with edgerton dentist a month ago and she was great. Referred me to get my wisdom tooth out. Today I was very nervous, I’m not a lover of dentists and when I got in the room Dr Dorcat put on some music to put me at ease and Nikola talked to me throughout the whole process. They fully understood my fear and did everything they could to make me feel more comfortable!

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist on Tuesday afternoon, and the clinic contacted me on Wednesday. By Thursday, Dr. Docrat and Nikola had extracted my wisdom tooth. They were absolutely fantastic. I had expected the wisdom tooth removal to be an unpleasant experience, but it was done quickly and experienced no pain . Dr. Docrat and Nikola managed to put me at ease and made me laugh throughout the whole procedure. I can't praise them enough and their abba soundtrack was a fantastic distraction.

Fantastic experience: My parents have been with Edgerton Dental Clinic for a while, I registered with the practice after having relocated back to Huddersfield. Dr Adnaan has been brilliant, I have been in a couple of times for general check-ups and had both my parents moved to be his patients. He's been great at helping provide advice and care throughout the multiple visits we've had to make since my mother's cancer diagnosis. He takes the time to listen to all your concerns. He also helped get a tooth guard sorted for my dad when we'd just booked in to go for a general check up. The receptionists at the desk have also been very helpful in getting appointments sorted for my mum in emergencies and providing me with the invoices I needed to claim the dental costs against my health insurance.

Fantastic experience: George Meadows. I had a broken wisdom tooth which was becoming a problem, and I was referred to Edgerton Dental Clinic by my regular dentist, who I suspect didn’t want to tackle it. I was given an appointment very quickly and the entire process was very professional. The extraction was carried out by Dr. Docrat and his assistant Emma. I was a little apprehensive but need not have been. The entire process was explained to me in some detail, and to my great surprise the actual extraction took around 20 seconds. I must confess that I experienced some slight pain, but overall Dr. Docrat and Emma performed admirably. He’s a true gentleman!

Fantastic experience: My son had a routine check up today, the dental practice itself is very clean and tidy, upon arrival the receptionist were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived on time but confusingly we had a long wait and a lady went in before us yet she had turned up 5 minutes after us which I would have said she was late for her appointment. With that said my son was called in and seen by a very nice dentist named Adnaan and his nurse Nimrah. I can not praise them enough for the way they treated my 11yr old son and took the time to really talk to him, make him feel at ease and explain to him in depth of what dental hygiene routines he should be doing and actually showed him how to do them correctly. It was nice to go to a place that takes their time with patients individually. 5* rating and would recommend this dental practice to anyone private or NHS

Fantastic experience: Who knew that going to the dentist could be such a pleasant experience? Just had a crown fitted by Adnaan and the whole experience was a completely excellent one from end to end. Adnaan is professional, funny and a pleasure to be spend time with. His two nurses, Nimrah and Halima ( congratulations!) were always one step ahead of Adnaan making to whole experience seamless. Both were very pleasant and engaging. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment at another dentist because i had toothache for two weeks and it was giving me migraines, i was then given a prescription for antibiotics which really helped soothe the pain and then referred to this dental practice, i had the same dentist i saw before which is Dr Docrat, he removed my tooth but made sure i felt at ease and i had a nurse with me named Emma, they were both lovely and made me feel really comfortable. Definitely recommend coming here.

Fantastic experience: After visiting my own dentist on Tuesday I was referred to Edgerton Dental Clinic for a tooth extraction preparing for a 6 to 8 week wait however I was booked in today only two days later. Dr.Docrat and nurse Nikola were wonderful putting me at ease explaining everything step by step and the whole process was over quickly. Understandably I was nervous beforehand but their kindness and professionalism made it a much better experience.

Negative experience: I had an appointment and visited Edgerton Dental Clinic in Huddersfield for tooth extraction. I really don't understand Dr Docrat behaviour... It was hard for me to understand him and I asked him to repeat what he said slowly ( in a very polite way )but he refused to do that and showed me angry faces. I was shocked. thanks to a assistant who was witness in the room and explained it for me , I understood whatever she said but I decided to AVOID give my health to Dr Docrat .

Fantastic experience: I've had my first (NHS) dental appointment here since the covid pandemic. I was a little embarrassed and clearly anxious about the whole thing due to past experience at other dental practices. I was seen by Holly Murphy, who is such a lovely, down to earth person who was really patent with me in regards to questions. I also really appreciated her honesty and top notch advice on the best way to tackle my treatment. The whole team was really nice and lovely, from the receptionists, dental assistant and of course the dentist herself. Despite not being a fan of dentists in general, I'm at ease knowing that whatever is recommended to me is sound advice! No complaints at parking ether. There are roads that are a couple of minutes away that you can park for up to 4 hours, I don't mind the little walk there.

Fantastic experience: Had my first NHS dental appointment for years, with Adnaan. I was (and still am) very anxious and nervous about dentists. They treated me with kindness and respect and totally non judgemental. I still have a way to go with my treatment but he is taking it slowly so not to overwhelm me. Fantastic experience: I have just recently started coming to edgerton dental and I can honestly say I have never met a nicer group of people. They made me feel so welcome, I don't feel judged and Dr Aslam is so lovely. Also Dr Mohammad. The dental nurses are just really lovely and caring I wouldn't ever want to go anywhere else now.

Negative experience: Avoid Dr Docrat !!!!!! What I will describe to you today is what actually happened . I came from Leeds to Huddersfield for an emergency appointment, to extract a piece of my root , which remained there after I got my wisdom teeth taken out . Dr Docrat , after a quick chat , said to me that I'll be fine . When I wanted to show him the tooth that was extracted , so that he can examine which part of the roots are still in my gum , he didn't even want to see‍ . When i asked him if he saw the x-ray of what my roots looked like , he said that he's a specialist, that he worked at a hospital before and that he could be my father. He also said that he didn't know how Polish dentists work but he knows what he's doing‍⚕️ . Then , he came close to my face and showed me his missing canines that only had the roots left , saying that it didn't hurt him . This should've "reassured" me that everything's going to be fine . It didn't covince him that , for a week , I'm taking strong painkillers . After all of this , I asked if I can have his name , in case the situation got worse and that I can express my disappoinment that he didn't even see the full x-ray , before his judgement , he said that it's not his fault that he didn't have the previous xray in his files . He started to blame the dentist that extracted my teeth . He didn't even have a working x-ray machine in his room ! After I explained my conerns to him , he said that he'd be "so kind" as to send me down to his colleague in order to do one, so I went down to the ground floor to get the x-ray done . When i went downstairs , I knew that I didn't want this dentist to look after my teeth again , and I rearranged the appointment . I would like to thank his assistant , who was a kind and polite lady . She is the epitome of a great worker ( I feel sorry that she has to work with him ).

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this practice for over 10 years, I've always seen Nadia Parveen. I can honestly say she's the gentlest dentist I've had. In my opinion I've never had any unnecessary treatment, my treatment plans have always been discussed thoroughly prior to them starting. Her explanations are always thorough and easily understood. I haven't ever struggled to get an appointment when I've been in pain. The reception team are enabling and receptive. On the two occasions I've visited the dental hygienist I have been impressed with my care. I would also recommend the enlighten whitening treatment which transformed my coffee stained teeth to pearly white again.

Fantastic experience: Went to this dentist as an emergency as my front tooth had cracked. The dentist Nadia and her very kind nurse were very sympathetic. She managed to repair my tooth temporarily so I was able to go to work the next day without feeling embarrassed. She has since then placed a permanent cosmetic crown, also provided composite bonding to my adjacent tooth, I’m very happy with the result. I cannot thank her enough for restoring my smile.

Negative experience: I was paying private… Not a good dentist at all had gum disease and they only cleaned one side made me wait 5 months for the other side doing when they could of done it all at once… also took a tooth out and pulled it without loosening the tooth now my jaw clicks sometimes be careful!! Went to another dentist and they did a full deep clean and gave some toothpaste now im actually seeing my gums improving. Waste of a dentist!!
