Fantastic experience: I have recently joined this practice, and being very nervous and scared of the dentist, I can honestly say I think I have made the right choice. Iram has been soo patient and understanding, and I am just about to start my extensive treatment plan, and although I’m petrified, I know I am in safe hands with Iram. I have also managed to have a hygiene appointment with the lovely Julia, and she was so gentle and calm and really reassuring and helpful at my appointment. The nurses are also very friendly, always making sure you are okay and comfortable. The receptionist’s are also so lovely and welcoming. This is literally going to change my life, and I can’t thank this dental practice enough for being the best at what they do!

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of work done spanning a few months, but I may be the only person who has been excited with every visit! I do not fear injections as Iram is really skilled at administering them, and talked me through the process of removing damaged crown, i.e. ‘a bit of drilling sound coming’ and giving me time to swallow as necessary. I am almost at the end of my treatment and have had things done which I hadn’t realised had become a problem, but am now assured my teeth could well out live me! Whichever nurse comes to meet me and is working with Iram they are all friendly and do their job well. Added to that the receptionists greet patients with a smile and after treatment, call after a day or two to ensure all is well. Fantastic experience: I came to the practice as a new patient and had back to back hygiene and dental appointments. Both treatments were the best I’d ever had. The dental staff were extremely thorough and personable. The treatment was expensive, but I suspect it’s just the going rate these days. I found the waiting room to be uncomfortable, particularly the odour - as such I was glad to wait in their lovely garden!

Due to various reasons (excuses) I had not visited a dentist since a house move over 6 years ago so I was somewhat concerned (terrified actually) at joining a new dental practice and not knowing what work they would find and how much it would cost (not to mention the pain). A good friend of mine recommended I join Andrew House. He was absolutely right. The staff were all very friendly, caring, put me right at ease and were utmost professional. To my surprise (relief) I did not require any additional treatment beyond a clean and I strongly felt they were not looking “to make unnecessary work/money” out of me which I feel some dental practices probably do. All in all I can not recommend the staff and the practice high enough and almost look forward to going back there in six months time for a checkup!

Positive experience: Being a pensioner and having spent over £6K with the practice inside a year, going into debt to do so, I get the distinct impression that I’m treated as a cash cow rather than a valued client. The enthusiasm to generate money by calling me the day before an appointment demanding a deposit, has made me question whether I’ve been receiving best advice. This follows the recommendation to replace a filling in a tooth that was causing me no problem, resulted in severe pain, resulting in the further expense of the removal of a pricey new filling with a temporary one, then the further cost of a second ‘permanent’ filling.

Fantastic experience: I came across Andrew House as I needed an emergency appointment. I usually go with an NHS dentist but since it was an emergency I went private. Best decision I could have made! I am so scared about going to the dentist but as soon as I walked in the door and greeted by the amazing reception team, I instantly felt so much better. I saw Richa and her dental nurse (so sorry didn’t catch her name!) and they were so lovely as I have very sensitive teeth. They recommended a special treatment for this with Julia, the hygienist who was also so nice and gave me some great recommendations for how to reduce my sensitivity. She even sent me a list of there to find practises that have the special sensitivity machines abroad as I am moving to Sydney! The service is above and beyond and all the staff seem to really care about their patients, thanks again Andrew House!

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Andrew house for over 40 years. Today I called to ask for a routine check up for myself and my daughter but couldn’t have one as they only treat private patients! My daughter is still at school and I’m entitled to free dental care. I had no notification of this change. I’m now in a position where I can’t get into another dental practice. Clearly no loyalty at this practice

Fantastic experience: Away from home, I was concerned I might not find a dentist to fit me in at short notice, but Andrew House kindly scheduled an appointment in under 24 hours when my front tooth chipped 2 days before my son’s wedding! A beautiful and undetectable composite repair was done painlessly, in very pleasant surroundings. Very impressed by everything about the surgery, who also sponsor the local junior football club. The staff couldn’t have been kinder and the premises were spotless.

Negative experience: Really annoyed been going there since I was 5.Put my daughter on the books who has been going last couple of years. My dentist for years left a few years ago who was great and ever since had serious problems getting an appointment as avalibity for me has been terrible. I always get phone calls and correspondence trying to sell me work or extras services though. Funny that. Today had the shock that I have taken another day off as holiday with work to find my daughters appointment cancelled. They said I cancelled and didn’t then dropped in an email was sent saying she is no longer nhs patient and I would have to pay for her. To be honest I have checked my emails and had nothing. I also called the primary trust who said they are meant to inform everyone and check they are aware rather than just pull out. But clearly they just want to charge me. Iv always paid for my own dentist but in truth the prices have increased and if you had a great experience it would be worth paying but it’s just not. All in all it’s been a terrible experience and it used to be a lovely practice. After over 30 years of going here I would no longer recommend. In fact even now I asked practice manager to call me and receptionist said yes and just said it’s unfortunate repeatedly it’s all happened . All in all I would say AVOID. Such a shame but no one called me straight back to even sort it out. It’s a sales place now. It doesn’t seem to care about the patients like myself in my view.
