Elgin Dental Care and Implant Clinic is a family run private practice in Maida Vale, west London. We are passionate about oral health care; our underlying belief is that preventative dentistry is best for our patients, so we only treat teeth and gums when necessary.

Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk in, the team at Elgin Dental Care are so hospitable and caring that you almost forget you’re at the dentist and not a five star hotel! We travel an hour to get there and we’ve been doing so for the past 14 years and will continue to do so. Update 5th September 2025 Had my first cleaning with Sheanel today and she was amazing! The whole experience was surprisingly enjoyable. She was professional, gentle yet thorough, and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend her if you want a hygienist who truly cares and helps you feel at ease.

Positive experience: Always polite. This time 11.15 start turned into 11.30 Complained about receiving multiple reminder emails which is very annoying. Talked to your receptionist who told me you had just had new software installed that sends out repeat automatic reminders. When I suggested that the software should be for one automatic reminder only, was told that this was not possible, which clearly is not true if there is a will there is a way!

Fantastic experience: Have had two root cannels done at the practice over the last 3 years and have been very happy with the service and expertise demonstrated in both instances. The practice is immaculately clean and tastefully decorated throughout with what appears to be the latest modern equipment. Booking and payment for both my appointments was handled efficiently and the reception services were friendly, polite and well informed. The dentist assigned in both instances was friendly and clearly extremely knowledgeable and completed the root cannel procedures expertly, ensuring all relevant information was provided and all my queries were fully and satisfactorily answered. Would recommend this practice to anyone needing a root cannel without reservation. The price of the procedures was higher than can be found at some other London based dentists but was not unreasonable considering their specialist root cannel expertise, location and excellent service.

Having fractured my tooth the previous day, I called for help and was booked as an emergency the next day. I am grateful for the very friendly and welcoming experience from every team member. Fantastic experience: I joined this practice a month ago, having neglected my teeth during the "Covid years". Everybody at the Clinic is very pleasant including the receptionists and all the dental staff I have met. Dr Kamal was non-judgemental about the state of my teeth and gums and gave me a very thorough examination and came up with a complete treatment program for my teeth and gums, which has now started. I feel very confident in his care and very much like the way he explained at each stage of the inspection what he was doing and why. The hygienist Tawa was very professional and kind and after one session with her my teeth and gums feel 100% better. I am looking forward to the program of treatment and to getting my teeth and gums to a condition I can be proud of.

Positive experience: The practice give care and attention to teeth, and make time for their patients. However since the change in management there has been a change in culture with a tangible emphasis on income. There is a tendency for costs outside plan parameters to be incurred without up front discussion.
