Negative experience: If you like waiting over 40 minitues past your appointment while others get seen first who just walked in I recommend it.

Positive experience: I had an absolutely painless extraction performed by Dr. Dawood, who has special skills, and who is the best dentist I ever visited in whole of Birmingham.

Fantastic experience: Cant Recommend Dr Lina enough. I had a fear of dentists for many years after a bad experience. Dr Lina always answers any questions and is always very welcoming anytime I go in for any treatment. Karen on the reception desk is also very friendly and kind. I have used other dentists from The practice but unfortunately most recently one told me I needed a root canal and filling lol on teeth which had no pain. So now I always make sure im booked in with DR Lina as she does any Xrays needed and checks properly.

Negative experience: wouldn’t recommend this dentist at all especially if you’re placed with mohammed majid, been on the waiting list for braces since i was 11. i was told i was accepted when i was 17 but had to have a few procedures along the way. root canal (wasn’t properly done now suffering with infected gums and continuous pains and bleeding around the crown) being told i have to have another root canal (done on wrong tooth, only drilled a hole then realised their mistake and referred me to someone else for a consultation) being told i have to go elsewhere for a reroot canal as they don’t have the correct equipments and that i’d have to pay even after stating i’m under uc and my re-root canal procedure should be free under the nhs (checked my eligibility) now turning 21 im being told i have to pay for my braces even though they messed up with my appointments which highly isn’t fair on me as im unemployed and uc does not cover braces. ive thought about going private for a while but why should i pay thousands that i dont even have to cover and fix their mistakes? also staff are extremely rude especially being a south asian myself i expected better hospitality from the staff who are my ethnicity

Fantastic experience: I have been with Ward End Dental Practice for over 20 years having seen many changes over this time improving the surgery rooms and professionalism. Over the last four months I required urgent detail treatment that required tooth extractions on my front teeth with ongoing implant treatment. I can honestly say the process has been brilliant, the detail and prep work has been thorough, my smile has been returned . I was made to feel welcome and comfortable every time I came in and left with new teeth I can be proud of! Then Dr Hashemi worked a miracle to give me the most natural and beautiful composite bonding. It’s given me my confidence back, she truly is the best! Fantastic experience: just want to say a huge thank you to Anjam and Dr Rajni. My 5-year-old son was really nervous about his appointment, and Anjam went out of her way to make him feel safe and comfortable. She talked to him so gently, explained everything with so much patience, and even got him smiling and laughing by the end! As a parent, that meant the world to me. We’re also so grateful for Dr Rajni’s kindness and the way she made the whole experience such a positive one for my son.

Positive experience: Went to dentist on Friday was seen by Zahra and assistant hadijha, Zahra very professional, polite explained everything to me. Unfortunately when she was putting a guard in my mouth I closed my mouth and accidentally bit her. I apologies she said it was find it happens all the time, she just laughed it off. Negative experience: Formal Complaint and Review: Ward End Dental Practice I have been registered with Ward End Dental Practice since May 2024, but to this very day, I have not received any proper treatment for my dental problems. Over the course of more than a year, I have had a total of 14 appointments with this practice, yet the outcome has been nothing but wasted time, false promises, and deterioration of my health. Initially, I was seen around six times by a dentist named Mohammed Majid, but he did not provide any treatment whatsoever. I was left with no choice but to purchase antibiotics at my own expense. Later, I was seen by a dentist named Dawood, and most recently by Dr. Asma. Unfortunately, the situation only worsened. Dr. Asma told me that she would refer me to a general hospital, but when I explained that Dr. Majid had already referred me six months earlier, she claimed that my previous referral “might have been rejected.” When I requested proof or documentation, she failed to provide any. This was clearly misleading and dishonest. Even more concerning, during my most recent visit, Dr. Asma explicitly told me that she could treat my dental problems at her private clinic for £300, where she would remove my teeth. This is a deeply unethical and unprofessional practice — attempting to exploit patients by pushing them towards private treatment while failing to deliver proper NHS care. Such conduct raises serious legal and regulatory concerns and must be investigated by the NHS, health regulators, and relevant government authorities. Because of their negligence, I now have seven unusable teeth. For the past six months, I have been unable to eat properly, I have lost weight, and my mental health has also suffered. Ward End Dental Practice has not only wasted my time and damaged my health, but also destroyed my trust in their care. As a result of their misconduct and their attempts to push me towards private treatment, I have now officially terminated my registration with this practice. I am calling on the NHS, health regulators, and government bodies to urgently investigate the practices at Ward End Dental Practice to ensure patient rights are protected and that such negligence and exploitation are not allowed to continue. This has been the worst healthcare experience of my life, and I strongly advise others to avoid Ward End Dental Practice at all costs.

Negative experience: I came in during early May as a filling has fallen off what a lovely dentist did about 3 or 4 years ago. I was made confused as I was asked of which tooth did I want taken out? I said the cracked one of course and I do t actually want any out as who does right? I was told that my tooth is mobile / wobbly and that may be true but I sure can’t feel it wobbling that’s all. I wanted to be made sure but no o r has shown me the xray and show me as proof. No one really listens so it doesn’t feel respectful as a mature adult to the young dentists that I have seen The best seem to have left like Mohammed and the female who had an oriental look , she was absolutely brilliant as was her female colleague. I was told, that hurts right? As a metal object knocked my cracked tooth but no it didn’t hurt. I was opting for some sort of respect and to be pulled aside to be spoken with by the dentist manager but it felt so awkward as she sat there and I didn’t want to embarrass the dentist of why I was made confused fused. Mohammed from years ago used to be calm and speak at a relaxed pace not rushed, explain of the condition of my tooth, the treatment available. I have asked now twice for what a patient has the right to, of a copy of the referral letter to the hospital because I know that this dentist has not shown of any knowledge to my being Autistic ADHD or why ask of would I want them to just take it out! It doesn’t work like that for us with head trauma conditions that are the base of being Autistic. Pre frontal cortex trauma. I have sent two emails but twice I haven’t received of any response so I’m not worrying that they maybe haven’t sent my medical notes over nor explained of my being Autistic ADHD and so will require of the anaesthetic I asked for. General. I’ve written to the British Dental association and that was 6 days ago and I’ve not heard from them yet so I will phone them now to help me get answers . If the British dental association were not to assist then there’s the nhs report service or parliamentary ombudsman. Or medical solicitors lastly So many of the best dentists like Oliver , Mohammed and the lovely young lady that helped and rescued my son’s tooth have since left. She had music going in the room and my son never felt a thing. There are nice dentists but they are young and I feel impatient with their elders. They need a mixture of more mature dentists also and teach the younger to have a better bedside manner with anxious patients.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Ward End Dental for over a decade. All the dentists do a brilliant job including Usman (my dentist) and Afrin Naushad (my son's dentist). The reception staff are really kind and helpful both face to face and over the phone. Usman did a filling for me back in 2022 which was a difficult one but he did a superb job and saved my tooth - been perfectly fine since.

Fantastic experience: We had such a wonderful experience with ms Afrin Naushad She was amazing with my kids—kind, patient, and really made them feel comfortable throughout the whole visit. My kids actually enjoyed their appointment, which says a lot! Highly recommend her to any parent looking for a gentle and caring dentist.

Negative experience: Avoid this dentist they are very unprofessional and their payment system doesn’t update , I made a payment of £75 which 2 months later they started sending out letters saying I have a £75 payment due I rang in and spoke to someone who said they can’t find the transaction on the system , the manager also said the same thing , I had to send them proof of my payment (bank statement) for them to stop asking me for a second payment , they will take your money and accuse you of walking out without paying !

Negative experience: There was no lift but there is a ramp so whats the point of having a ramp when theres no lift like bro come on. Elderly people and people with disabilities cant go upstairs so what happens then? Every dentist ive been to has a lift.

Fantastic experience: Dr Nastaran and Nurse Aaliyah - lovely ladies absolute assets to this practice. They were so caring kind and patient towards my mothers she’s had 2 teeth extracted and they always do things with ease and we don’t trust anyone else. They are absolute gems.

I was a little nervous as it was my first time getting fillings, but she made sure I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire appointment. Her warmth instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel like you're in safe hands - and the quality of her work is genuinely impressive. I was honestly surprised that the filling only cost £150 given how high the standard is. If you're considering registering with this dental practice, I’d definitely recommend it - the whole team is friendly, and both the cleaning and filling treatments are great.

Fantastic experience: I visited today and met Dr Majid and he helped me straight away because I needed a filling he x rayed my teeth with no pain normally when I have an x ray it causes redness on my gums and pain he gave me a prescription for something which other dentists didn’t give and has booked an appointment to see him and my own dentist in a month also the receptionist was kind and very helpful Alhamdulilah for today

Negative experience: Worst ever experience.. went for emergency treatment the so called doctor had no idea what he is doing. Kept asking other lady what should I do. I had filling after which till day I have severe pain and infection. No hygiene no professionalism even didn't give me any antibiotics. Just took money and wasted my time and I'm ended up having worsening molar pain which isn't going anyway.

Fantastic experience: Good dental practice. Staff are helpful and friendly. Waiting times are low. My dentist, Dr Nastaran, was fantastic! I needed a lot of work done, and other dentists said that two of my teeth needed to be extracted. Dr Nastaran clearly explained my treatment options and associated risks, and at the end, saved both of my teeth. I had some composite fillings done which look great, and a difficult root canal procedure done which relieved a lot of pain I had. I'm very happy with my experience here.

Fantastic experience: I came here after I was given the fright of my life by a private dentist who takes on NHS patients. I'd been with them for two years but they somehow failed to spot and prevent periodontal disease. He said I was going to lose teeth and treatment was going to be expensive and I was in a bit of a state by the time I booked an appointment to see Dr Nastaran Hashemi. I was treated for a fraction of the price quoted by my old dentist. She told me to forget what the other dentist had said and we were going to do everything we could to heal my mouth and preserve my teeth and she delivered. She has seen me through a nasty infection and given my teeth a deep clean twice. I have followed her after care advice religiously and trust it. The staff are kind and efficient and I will recommend them to anyone who needs them.

Fantastic experience: Over the past few years the practice seems to have gone through various changes. Initially it wasn't the best with ridiculous waiting times and regular cancelled appointments. The most recent changes seem to have bought about additional dentists and the separation of private and NHS patients. This has led to a smoother service being delivered and better patient experience. Happy to now recommend to both family and friends with a special mention to Leena my favourite dentist!!!

Negative experience: I had taken my sister who has special needs for a emergency appointment. The receptionist who I spoke with was a Muslim lady wearing headscarf she had said the fee is £60 for emergency appointment because she has not been dentist for over this period. Then when I got to the appointment I asked to see the policy where it says I must pay for emergency appointment and they could not even find the policy which was so shocking because a policy should be stuck on the board as a notice for patients to see. Then they tried fobbing me off by seeing the policy and asked me to sign a consent form to go ahead with the appointment and it said £80 fee. I switched at the lady who I spoke with as she said £60 and I brought £60 with me!! She was smirking whilst saying its £80 you must have misheard me. They made us wait for over a hour no patients waiting ahead of us yet they made us wait. Such disgusting deceiving behaviour they have no shame. Won't be attending again!!

Positive experience: Be sure to check prices clearly as they push the private prices first if you normally pay for check ups. I've always had a quick clean included with the normal NHS check up which is enough but recently with the change of dentists I agreed the price for a special deep clean but they also added on extra £40ish for a pre - clean which they didn't tell me was going to cost extra. I paid to get out of there and will now be looking to go to a different dentist.

Negative experience: Giving one star because don’t have option of -1 star if you have appointment make sure you know someone or be prepare yourself to wait an hour after your appointment time my appointment was 11 am and have to wait and hour for doctor to check reception only know one thing which is keep calling you for reminder you have an appointment no help for reception just talking with eachother like sitting at home happened twice just another trick to make money

Negative experience: Just called today tooth pain? Said can l have an appointment for monday, first they said okay, then they said you have not been to the dentist for 5 years, so there is a charge of £80 if l want a appointment for Monday or otherwise l wait 3 weeks, absolutely disgraceful.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the practice are wonderful, from the admin team who you can have a chuckle with, to the dentist and nurse. I would recommend Dr. Nastaran and Mueeza, the dream team, for looking after me and treating me with care and respect. They do not do hard sales and would recommend the best course of action which benefits you the most. They are non-judgemental and take their time to ensure you get most out of the appointment. Due to their care, I have gained huge amount of confidence in my teeth, and seen a huge transformation. Negative experience: Dr Osman is great.... If you can actually get an appointment. Expect the receptionist to call you the day before your appointment to tell you that it's been cancelled. And when you rearrange and wait weeks for your new appointment expect it to be cancelled at short notice, again.

Negative experience: I was a patient and the previous dentist on bowyer rd which i had no problem with until was moved to this dentist, my experience has been awful i am not happy with the service i had with the dentist her self, i have had to make numerous appointments to get the treatment i needed and waited over hours to be seen, the dentist her self has not shown any priorities towards her patients lack of communication and no consideration the risk of infection that could occur to the patient without treatment i have been refused to been seen with severe toothache and a chipped tooth as i did have an appointment but told to wait for another half n hour or rearrange my appointment.

Fantastic experience: Went yesterday with my wife and kids. We had a family check up appt. Our first visit to the practice after we were transferred there following the closure of the practice on Bowyer Road. We received an excellent service. The reception staff were superb. Dr Ali Salam was exceptional. He gave us all thorough check ups, gave me and my wife's teeth a thorough clean. Spoke to us in detail about how to achieve and maintain good dental health. Saw all three of my children. Again, very thorough. Was friendly with them and gave them good advice. Identified that one of my daughter's teeth needed taken out to make room for a new one emerging. Did that promptly with no issues. We were all very happy, with him, his dental nurse who I think may be called Mushkaan, and the reception staff. Excellent service all round. Will be back in 6 month's time.

Negative experience: Very horrible experience most of the doctors even not doctors they have fake dentist degrees. They awful don't know how to use instruments broken my teeth because lady don't know how use instruments. Administration must check what's going on there. And the amount of dirt everywhere can't imagine. Very Very horrible experience

Fantastic experience: I visited the practice twice over a short space of time. Receptionist team were very helpful and managed to fit me in at short notice. I was seen by dentist Madeeha and her assistant Sabeeha who make a great team. I had a deep clean and tooth extraction due to bad gums. Madeeha is very skilled and would describe her as having the gentlest hands within the profession. She was polite, patient and very professional. I can honestly say visiting them has been the most pleasant experience I have ever had at the dentists.

Negative experience: Wow will definitely be registering els where I called for a emergency appointment on the NHS to be ask for a 80 pound charge which to me is totally unacceptable but anyway I received the treatment I needed from Scott Arms dental practice best dentist I have ever been to

Fantastic experience: I usually hate going to the dentist but Dr Junaid put me at ease straight away. He explained every step of the treatment as he went along and made sure I was comfortable. His care and skill is evident in the work he does, thoroughly impressed by the service I received from him and will be recommending him to family and friends.

Negative experience: Went in for an emergency appointment, only to be kept waiting for over an hour, without being told I’d have to sit and wait when booking the appointment or on arrival. The surgery has little care for patients and seem to simply want to get as many people in through the door. The place was overrun, it was appalling how little they cared about patients. I ended up leaving after waiting for over and hour. I have a broken molar which was never looked at. The point of emergency is that it needs to be dealt with not left.

Negative experience: Disappointed by the behaviour of two ladies at the reception they laughed at me instead of assisting me so sad

Fantastic experience: I recently had a tooth extraction performed by Dr. Madeeha Zara, and I must say it was an excellent experience. Dr. Zara was not only skilled but also incredibly gentle and attentive throughout the entire procedure. She consistently checked in to ensure I was comfortable and okay, which helped alleviate any anxiety I had. Moreover, her assistant was equally impressive, providing excellent support and contributing to the overall smoothness of the appointment. Negative experience: My dentist was on bowyer road, which now closed and been passed on to these guys. Saturday had a horrible service and the women who was supposed to take my wisdom put, injected in the wrong place, and still felt the pain but she messed my tooth up and had pains even worse. Went bavk in after 3 days and it took 3 seconds job done!

Negative experience: : My experience with Ward End Dentist has been disappointing on multiple fronts. Firstly, despite being an NHS dentist, they impose charges of £80 or more for expedited appointments, which feels exploitative. When I expressed concern, I was told by a receptionist that I either wait for months or pay the fee, which I find unacceptable. Furthermore, there seems to be a discrepancy in the level of care based on payment status, as those who pay for treatment receive preferential treatment and are accommodated more promptly. I intend to report these concerns to the appropriate governing authority once identified. Secondly, the receptionist staff's lack of knowledge has been frustrating. My wife had an appointment scheduled for a tooth repair costing approximately £150. However, the first appointment was abruptly cancelled, as was the second. The third appointment, also scheduled for a mere 20 minutes, was subsequently cancelled as well. This inconsistent scheduling and lack of communication reflect poorly on the clinic's organization and professionalism. While it's often said that you get what you pay for, Ward End Dentist feels more like a cash-driven conveyor belt than a place focused on providing quality care.

Negative experience: Though the receptionist was polite and courteous the whole ordeal was unprofessional and cumbersome in terms of how long they make you wait even though you have an appointment. I was seen 50 minutes later, only to be told that the actual work will be undertaken the following day, but a time will be shared with me by telephone, I received no call, so basically it was all a waste of time, no call, no revisit, no filling, it was a consultation where they told me what I already knew I had a broken tooth that needed a filling. Paying £25 is not the issue, being overlooked, ignored and then forgotten reeks of unprofessionalism. For those that live in that area I can't say avoid them like a plague because necessity sometimes forces our hand, so instead I would request the owners of this practice take note, you will lose ground in your reputation as many share my sentiments but are worried to report it or share there poor experience on Google in case of repercussions.

Fantastic experience: First time I've ever left a review but I had to find some way of thanking Dr Junaid for his genuine care and skill. I'd had previous dental treatment which was very poorly carried out and left me in serious need. Dr Junaid is an incredible caring and conscientious professional who I cant recommend highly enough.

Positive experience: Overall treatment and maintenance conditions good. But they charged me 80£ for urgent care appointment, while they have clearly posted on the information board that urgent care charges 25.80.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service from the ward end staff, receptionists were lovely, the nurses are excellent there, made me feel at ease thank you to everyone there, I’ve been terrified of the dentist but ward end is something different! They definitely know how to keep patients happy! The manager anjam was so lovely and understanding, answered any questions I had regarding my dental treatment. Thank you all.
