Negative experience: After over two years of Invisalign treatment and a significant financial investment, the nightmare at Ruh Dental (Notting Hill) is finally over. On the day of my scheduled composite bonding appointment — the final stage of my treatment — Dr. Sonnie cancelled the procedure while I was already in the clinic, despite months of planning, prior confirmation of its importance and having me sign a bonding agreement. He explained that composite bonding was a “work of art” and said he would no longer perform it, claiming he would complete my Invisalign treatment without it, regardless of my wishes. However, just two weeks earlier, he had carried out a gingivectomy without anesthesia, even though I had explicitly requested it. The procedure was done instead of a frenectomy that other orthodontists had recommended, with his justification that the gum would later be supported by the composite bonding — the same composite bonding he then refused to perform. When I questioned this, I was told the treatment was “cosmetic” and optional, despite having already paid for it. I later secured a refund, but the experience raised serious concerns about patient care, professionalism, and consent. What followed was a year-long cycle of poor communication and deflection. Appointments were repeatedly rescheduled, aligner orders were delayed, and there was never a clear completion date. I was left wearing the same trays for months at a time. Each time I asked for updates, I received conflicting responses. My formal complaints were handled internally by their practice manager, creating an obvious conflict of interest. Even appeals to the co-founder, Dr Rizwan Mahmood and CEO, Dr Zayba Sheikh went unanswered. Eventually, I sought a second opinion from another clinic, Cosmetic Dental Gallery, who had to contact Ruh Dental directly to facilitate the handover. They completed my treatment in under six months and correctly advised that a crown, not composite bonding was the appropriate solution for one of the teeth originally planned. Ruh Dental’s handling of my case showed a lack of transparency, professionalism, and accountability. It’s worth noting that several months later, Ruh Dental offered to carry out the same composite bonding they had previously refused, as the treatment could not be completed without it — which explains their ongoing refusal to provide a clear completion date. However, by that stage, I had completely lost trust and declined. I would not recommend this clinic — patients deserve clarity, respect, and genuine care, not confusion, delays and silence once payment is secured.

Negative experience: Unprofessional is an understatement. You have to chase every bit of information yourself. Dr. Sonnie is nice and friendly, the bonding work was okay, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this clinic. I recently had an appointment regarding new retainers because, despite consistently wearing the one I have, noticeable gap have formed between my teeth. Since that visit, which was a month ago, I’ve received zero updates. I had to email the clinic, only to be told that the dentist is currently on annual leave and won't be back for another two weeks (so there's no update on my case). If you're considering this clinic, be prepared that you'll need to chase. You’ll have to call, email, and push for response. Once you’ve paid, it really feels like they stop caring. Disappointing.

Negative experience: My wife has been left incredibly upset by the outcome of her treatment at RUH Dental. The crown she received is visibly flawed, and it’s affected her confidence so badly that she’s been in tears almost every day. It’s heartbreaking to see how much this has impacted her emotionally, especially after being told the treatment would be super easy. This experience is truly distressing for our whole family. This level of care is simply unacceptable.

Negative experience: Absolutely avoid this place. I paid thousands of pounds for an implant and crown and was told it would be a straightforward treatment. What followed has been nothing short of a nightmare. I’ve been asked to go back six times for the same issue not because the treatment was progressing, but because of complete disorganisation as the dentist didn’t even have the tools he needed because he’d left them at another clinic. To make it worse, the implant now shows a visible grey line at my gum, which they’re blaming on my bone despite never mentioning anything about bone limitations before treatment. Now I’m being told I need a gum graft to fix it. No apology, no responsibility and absolutely no proper follow-up. This clinic has wasted my time, money, and trust. Shocking communication, zero accountability, and a treatment that’s gone completely wrong. STAY AWAY.

Negative experience: I visited Ruh Dental Notting Hill in August 2024, first for a hygiene appointment and then for two follow-up visits with a dentist regarding a broken veneer. I paid nearly £300 in total. During these appointments, both the hygienist and the dentist told me my teeth were healthy, and no issues were raised or documented. However, just a few months later, during a consultation abroad for cosmetic work, I was told I had over 16 cavities, many of them on teeth with no veneers and therefore unrelated to the original concern. This was a serious shock, so I sought a second opinion from another highly experienced dentist — who confirmed the same findings. Both professionals agreed these cavities had been present for at least three months and would have been clearly visible with even a basic check. When I raised this with Ruh Dental, I was told that there was “no documentation” of an examination being carried out — effectively denying that my teeth had even been looked at, despite the fact that the dentist did check them and gave me a verbal summary at the time. The hygienist even praised the health of my teeth. It is deeply concerning that something as fundamental as multiple cavities could be missed entirely. What’s more disappointing is the clinic’s response — not only dismissing my concerns, but showing no willingness to acknowledge the oversight or offer any constructive resolution. I would strongly advise others to seek second opinions elsewhere before trusting the advice or assessments given here.

Fantastic experience: My mum and I both visited Ruh Dental a year ago to begin our teeth transformations with Dr Sonnie, and we have absolutely no regrets, other than we wish we visited sooner. I have no idea why there aren’t more posts on the website/socials of Dr Sonnie’s work, he is truly the best in the game at Invisalign and composite bonding/veneers. Speaking of Invisalign, he is an absolute master - so much so that I only needed 4 teeth partially bonded (to remove some calcium stains). He got my natural teeth into such a good shape, that I truly felt so confident with just the results of Invisalign alone. I went through way more trays than intended, but Dr Sonnie was a true perfectionist, and wanted my teeth to be the best they could be naturally, and I was so glad for that. The bonding is a work of art within itself. As I only had some stains removed, it was a much harder job to get the bonding to blend in with the rest of my natural tooth, alongside the surrounding untouched teeth. He spent hours on my teeth, and the results are so seamless that people can’t even tell which teeth are bonded, or that I’ve had any bonding at all. The colour, shape, texture, and transparency is spot on - I couldn’t have wished for better results. Thank you Dr Sonnie for all the confidence you’ve given my mum and I. We are so happy with our results and that we trusted you with our smiles. We will be recommending Dr Sonnie and the rest of the team at Ruh Dental to absolutely everyone! Negative experience: If you are seeking a dentist who prioritises financial gain over ethical practice, Dr. Sonnie is an excellent choice. During my initial consultation, he attempted to upsell unnecessary procedures, recommending composite bonding on ten of my teeth when only eight required treatment—these being the only ones visible when smiling. Additionally, a more suitable course of action, such as Invisalign to address my gaps, was entirely disregarded in favour of pushing composite bonding, despite me being a suitable candidate. While Dr. Sonnie maintained a cordial demeanor during the consultation, his attitude during the actual treatment appointment was strikingly unprofessional. He made a rude remark about my smile being wonky (and this was not in a joking manner) and responded with unwarranted sarcasm when I engaged in casual conversation, stating, “Well, of course I have been busy, I’m a dentist.” The procedure itself was nothing short of a nightmare. At no point did he offer reassurance or make any effort to ensure my comfort. In fact, he remained entirely silent throughout. Shockingly, he proceeded to shave down the back of my teeth to an extreme degree, despite this being completely unnecessary given that I was only undergoing composite bonding. When I expressed concern during this process, he falsely reassured me by claiming, “Oh, don’t worry, I’m not actually shaving your teeth” — despite clear evidence to the contrary. By the time the bonding was complete, he had shaved my teeth down to such an extent that there was virtually nothing left but the composite material itself. The physical discomfort I endured was excruciating. Lacking essential dental polishing strips, he instead used sharp, metallic type strips akin to miniature saws, aggressively cutting into my gums while “polishing” my teeth. Even as I visibly recoiled in pain, attempting to pull his hand away, he persisted without any regard for my pain, effectively butchering my gums in the process. Perhaps most distressing was the final outcome. I had explicitly requested a natural aesthetic, yet what I received was the exact opposite. The moment he handed me the mirror, I burst into tears. My teeth appeared unnatural—overly large and block-like, completely disregarding my clear instructions. When I confronted him about this, he blatantly denied that I had ever requested a natural look, adding insult to injury. An additional concern arose prior to my treatment when I engaged in conversation with the receptionist, whose name, ironically, was “Angel.” We discussed the extreme nature of “Turkey teeth” procedures, particularly the excessive shaving of natural teeth—a concern that led me to seek treatment here instead (how wrong was I). Shortly after, she retreated to a back room where she conversed privately with Dr. Sonnie. When I was subsequently called in, his demeanor had noticeably shifted. While I cannot say with certainty what was said, it was evident that whatever had been communicated was unfavorable. Their rapport was unusually close for mere colleagues, raising further questions about the professionalism of this practice. Ultimately, while Dr. Sonnie’s Instagram may depict an image of professionalism, the reality is starkly different. His skills are questionable, his professionalism is nonexistent, and he has caused irreversible damage to my teeth—what little remains of them. I would strongly advise anyone considering treatment with him to proceed with extreme caution, if at all.

Negative experience: !!!STAY AWAY!!! !!!STAY AWAY!!! I need to share my experience with this dental practice to prevent others from becoming victims like I was. A few years ago, I finally achieved my long-term dream of getting veneers, and the way this practice sold me on the procedure was nothing short of a fantasy. They painted a picture of perfection, assuring me that these veneers would last nearly 30 years and that there was no need for concern—especially since I was opting for porcelain veneers. What I went through afterwards was an absolute nightmare, emotional and physical abuse to be quite frank. Those veneers came off four times, and I was charged for three of those repairs! The only time I wasnt charged was when I cried in front of the doctor stating, I am totally embarrassed that I was at a business dinner and out of sudden I was chewing on my veneers while holding a speech. Each visit with this arrogant, unfriendly doctor felt like emotional abuse. He never once apologised for what I was enduring. Instead, he treated me with disdain, doing his work in silence while I left the office feeling defeated. The last time I saw Dr. Pete for a broken veneer, he was shockingly insulting. He asked how I managed to break the veneer, making it seem like I was the problem rather than acknowledging his own inadequate work. To make matters worse, he first told me I needed to schedule a new appointment to come back. I was incredulous—why should I need another appointment? I was there for him to treat me, not to be told to return later! I was in agony from the missing veneer, and when he finally did something, he only refilled it halfway, didn’t take any impressions, and then had the audacity to say, "You have to pay; otherwise, I’m not going to do anything." Every time I reached out to the practice manager, Tracy, she pushed back against my requests to see a different doctor, insisting I stick with this one, despite my dissatisfaction. I felt trapped because I couldn't afford to go elsewhere. I brushed my teeth normally—there was no reason for these veneers to fail repeatedly. I know things can happen, but four times? I have friends with veneers that have lasted two decades without a hitch! When I finally went back for help with a painful back tooth, he filled it twice without addressing the pain. It wasn’t until I consulted another dentist that I discovered Dr Pete had been treating a severely damaged nerve. The other practitioner also confirmed that Dr Pete should have been well aware of this circumstance since he was able to see right through the tooth to the rotten nerve. I was in excruciating pain for two months, and still, Tracy insisted I stay with this incompetent doctor. Patient care is not their priority. I urge anyone considering this practice to think twice and invest your money elsewhere. I can’t believe I allowed myself to be treated this way for so long. After asking to speak with the practice director, I was promised contact, but it’s been two weeks with nothing. Now, I am seeking legal advice to address the emotional and physical harm I’ve endured. This practice is a complete disaster, and I feel it’s my duty to warn others about the damage they can inflict.

Fantastic experience: The best dental clinic in London. Dr Sonnie and Dr Viraj were phenomenal and thanks to them I’ve had the treatment done to my teeth that I wanted for years. They kept me updated with the entire process and everything that was happening and they went above and beyond. The results surpassed all my expectations. Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit of the practice. Very clean and welcoming environment. I was feeling really at ease and comfortable during my consultation. Exceptionally friendly staff who answer your questions in full without making you feel rushed. To me was important to establish good relationship with my dentist so I was happy that I was given time to express my concerns and get the proper dental advice I needed. One more thing. The place looks really posh but their prices for the dental services they offer are really reasonable. Also they have a lot of other options in terms of dental plans and payment options to suit patients needs. I will gladly come back here again! Negative experience: I was hesitant to leave this review, but now having my teeth done perfectly at another clinic, I have a more solid perspective. I booked for a consultation and my assigned dentist was Dr. Sonnie. The booking went smoothly and the Notting Hill Gate clinic is small but clean and cute. The receptionist was lovely and so was the finance lady - Amal. However, Dr. Sonnie was quite unsettling to deal with. My situation was quite sensitive as it was the typical turkey-gone-wrong case but he made me feel a little embarrassed about it all. His prices (composite bonding) are over the top, considering I’ve now done it thousands of pounds cheaper at a great and professional local clinic (Hanwell Dental Practice). He kept insisting about how he’s, “the best” at what he does; whilst in the same breath saying he, “doesn’t need to convince me” to carry through with any procedure when we brought up lowering the price. Furthermore, and what was really unsettling, he was insisting I get Invisalign in the name of “might as well” for a “perfect smile” despite me being perfectly fine with the alignment of my teeth. Thousands of pounds on Invisalign (top and bottom) is not a “might as well” procedure. In the end, I completed the composite bonding procedure, which hides any crookedness and my smile is perfectly straight now, without needing Invisalign at all. I can’t speak for the quality of his work as I did not go through with him, for all the reasons stated above, but it looks good on his Instagram. What this review is about, is my experience in the consultation. It generally felt like there was a lack of genuine care and compassion, which should be integral to all those who work within the health sector. I also have a genetic condition (Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization) which created indentations in some teeth, but he didn’t pick up on it. I only learnt about it at the clinic I actually proceeded with. It was all just weird and I left in very low spirits. I think people-skills and a little humility goes a very long way, especially in the profession that he’s in. The difference between how I was dealt with at Rüh Dental and Hanwell Dental Practice was astronomical, I honestly couldn’t believe it.

Fantastic experience: Before booking my consultation I spent weeks headhunting Ruh Dentals dentists to choose who I wanted to work on my smile. Considering Ruh only hires award winning Dentists it was competitive but Dr Josh Virdee was a stand out. Over the course of 11 months, Josh made visiting the dentist feel like chatting with a friend. He was fully engaged with my needs and desires as a patient, thoroughly explaining every decision he made for my smile. No matter how many questions I asked – and I asked a lot – he was never phased. He always took the time to answer everything in simple terms, without ever making me feel silly for not understanding. One aspect that stood out was his responsiveness – even outside of practice hours. I could message him anytime, and he always accommodated my schedule. I never had to go through reception to reach him; Josh personally handled my appointments, booking and adjusting them as needed. On top of that, Josh is just a genuinely cool and down-to-earth guy. If you like your dental appointments with a bit of 90’s RnB and a friendly face, he’s definitely the dentist for you. It’s fair to say he’s probably the coolest dentist around. The results speak for themselves – my confidence has completely transformed. I asked for natural perfection (think toothpaste advert), and that’s exactly what I got! From start to finish, the experience was seamless. There’s a reason why Ruh offers the top 1% of Invisalign treatments in Europe and works exclusively with the best aesthetic dentists.

Fantastic experience: Ruh dental was amazing. Lovely staff, very warm. The practice its self is well maintained and central located. I had Dr Josh and Mags during my procedure. The consultation was through, walking me through what I there for, providing me with different options but not pressuring me in anyway. My prime issue were gaps in my teeth which I wanted amended with composite bounding without the use of Invisalign. I got exactly what I ordered! I received teeth whitening for a month. The delivery of that package was smooth no issues and the whitening really shamed how yellow my teeth were ahah -worked wonders. Straight after was the 4hr app for the bounding. Dr Josh walked me through the colour (providing an application before hand) then recapped the key things I wanted out of the bounding. The app was comfortable (even provided me a blanket when I got cold :). The bounding came out amazing and Dr Josh did great work with covering my gaps while no sacrificing the natural look of the teeth. We then scheduled an app for the following week to add further naturalisation features ( the time allowed me to get use to the change and comfortably understand if there is anything I wanted changed). Second app came, and that’s where the true magic happened and exactly why I chose ruh dental for this procedure. Dr Josh went over what he wanted to change and what I wanted amended before hand - it came out spectacularly. He soften the edges of the composite, rounded them out removing any look of “turkey teeth”. Created spaces (without the gaps) between each tooth so the teeth did not look as one white slab from afar. He really took his time to prefect everything. The natural look was what I was paying for because any cosmetic dentist can do the composite bonding, I find the true skill is in making it look like my own teeth, whereby people aren’t spotting them from a mile away, Josh truly out did himself. So if you couldn’t tell, I recommend Ruh dental and 100% Dr Josh and his dental assistant Mags. Honor mention to Mags play list - top tier

Positive experience: Reception staff nice, frankly found dentist arrogant and barely asked if I was happy with the results of the cosmetic treatment - just started packing up to finish. Staff come in and out of the room during the procedure to ask questions which I don’t think it’s very professional. I saw excellent promos from celebrities about ruh dental and unfortunately I felt as though they would care more about me/ how I felt about my treatment if I had a blue insta tick.

Fantastic experience: I had been meeting dentists for a while trying to find somebody to do my veneers who I equally trusted and liked their work. I found Dr Sonnie on Instagram and liked the style of teeth he made. One thing I'll say about Run Dental (Notting Hill Gate) is that ALL of the staff were sooooo lovely and kind and I felt like I could trust them not to just tell me "they look great" or sponge money from me. I feel like they genuinely wanted the best for me. In particular Marge (dental nurse) who helped consult me MANY times about the style of teeth I should go for. Dr Sonnie painstakingly spent a lot of time making sure I was completely happy with my teeth and I feel bad for him that he spent hours on my teeth and I'd sometimes say I wanted something changed, causing him to spend more hours and another appointment to fix them. However, that is exactly what you want from a dentist doing expensive cosmetic work. I'm really happy with my teeth and couldn't recommend Ruh Dental (Notting Hill) and Dr Sonnie enough. Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be happier with Ruh Dental. I started my Invisalign journey about 3 years ago as I have a very complex case and Dr Sonnie has been amazing at taking on the challenge. The results have honestly been life changing. I no longer worry about smiling and laughing or hide my face! I no longer fear having my photo taken. I’ve also gone from fearing the dentist to looking forward to my appointments. I am soon to finish my treatment and have composite bonding which I have no concerns about, Dr Sonnie’s work is the best I’ve ever seen from photos. Fantastic experience: Had a hydrofacial and microneedling with Nadia last week and my skin has never felt so good. It is super glowy and blemish free.
