Negative experience: This has got to be the worse Dentist Experience I’ve ever had. After filling out numerous forms and finally getting to see the Dentist as an Emergency patient , the Dentist done Absolutely Nothing. The Dentist did hand me a mirror to see my fractured tooth. The XRAY machine was broken so NO XRAY & diagnosis was given. The dentist did speculate that the tooth needed extracting which was completely false. I have since had the minor procedure fixed . Why give out dental appointments in the first place without a working XRAY machine to diagnose & fix Dental Problems ? In the mean time I will be contacting NHS England & the BDA to make sure no additional charges are applied & I’m afraid a full investigation into the practice will be required. Thanks for reminding me that i forgot my cashmere scarf that I left on the chair??? This Practice is definitely not fit for purpose. If I could give 0/5 I would.

Negative experience: Update from last review. Yeah the place is poor, the staff dont make eye contact or even speak clearly. For a checkup I was out in less than 5mins. Its got worse, but who can afford private these days (for those that pay for NHS treatment) Shockingly poor service. Will cancel appointments and rebook you six weeks later. Then hang up on you if you complain too much.

Positive experience: Not great today( usually good. But not good today . Had to wait over 40mins, then told I didn’t pay in may , which obviously I had. Apparently I need to prove myself that I paid. I called back to say I checked statements I had paid. But I have to send proof seriously check your own accounts , I doubt anyone could leave without paying…!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Something good happened between last year and this year. This dental practice really was the pits. The receptionist lying in my face and being downright rude put me right off. I suspect my dentist also had enough and she left. Fast forward to May this year and it’s like a completely different practice. Receptionist friendly and helpful and my new dentist Fei-Chuen Yang is absolutely amazing. Definitely the best dentist I have ever had. For the first time in about 15 years. I can honestly recommend this dentist practice.

Positive experience: I have nothing but issues whenever I go! Today, I had booked an appt for 09.55 & had requested a downstairs room to be seen when I booked online. I got there & told I was upstairs! I told reception the situation so she sat me in the waiting area & messaged the Dentist. At 10.15 I asked what was happening & asked her to find out from the dentist. At 10.30 I ask again & a few moments later the Dentist comes down calling me. I explained the situation only to be told no free rooms available. The dentist did not see or receive her first message. After some ‘talking’ I struggled up the stairs & had my appointment from the apologising dentist who explained why she was late seeing & why no downstairs rooms. I understood why she was late but the fact of the matter is her dental nurse maybe could have made contact with the receptionist & asked her to explain to her waiting patients why she was running late (without any patient confidentiality being used) I did have a pleasant appointment eventually & advised to book my next appointment for a Monday as downstairs rooms were available. I hate going to the dentist & when situations like this happen it makes the visit even worse! This is the 2nd time this year there has been problems for me, it’s very disheartening & im already dreading my next appointment in May 26

Negative experience: The dentist is really good with kids but the management and lack of organisation here is dire. Most recent dentist has been very thorough but historically they have missed some key things in my mouth or simply failed to tell me. Cancelling appointments all the time, including upon arrival. Overall, only go because there are no other NHS dentists around. They charge too much and try and overcharge you on hygiene appointments too. Very poor management.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, booked a appointment at short notice. Was seen on time, and Jussara spent time looking at the problem and carried out excellent repair to damaged tooth . I was informed of the cost before treatment and happy with it.
Negative experience: Not a great experience for a first appointment at a new practice. Rushed in and no real care or even interest shown, quick mirror in the mouth and when trying to discuss any ongoing issues just told “well we will just take anything with issues out as this is an nhs dentist and you can go private for more in depth work”. Then told we are too short staffed to do any X-rays and discuss this anyway so book another appt and swiftly encouraged back out the door. All in around 2 minutes flat after waiting nearly an hour after my appointment time to go in for an appt booked 3 weeks ago. All in all a very odd experience in honesty and just seemed like a dentist who didn’t really want to be there today. On the contrary, receptionist and dental assistant were very welcoming and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I am scared stiff of dentists and at nearly 60 is really embarrassing but a really deep and real fear. I dreaded my appointment which I was having to go to with a broken and infected tooth, but I really really shouldn't have worried. The minute I got there, Vidhya spent the time with me to go through why I was there and she was so very kind and patient with me and just listened. She told me what she was going to do and all about the examination and what she was looking for, she was amazing. A few times I got a bit panicky with a tool and the X-rays etc but she took the time to stop and explain everything. I can't thank them all enough for the kindness and patience they showed me and my nightmare of a day that I had been dreading wasnt half as bad as I expected. I almost felt like crying at the end from sheer relief, I didn't though as I felt such an idiot for getting in a state in the first place. I have to go back for treatment, which ordinarily I would find any excuse not to go, but I am going willingly all due to me being lucky to find the best and kindest dentist I've ever met- what a massive relief and can't believe how lucky I've been in finding them. Please don't worry if you are like me, you really will be in safe hands, if only id found them sooner. It's such an embarrassing fear to have but made not quite so bad by Buckingham house, thank you so much for everything.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time or money - I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Terrible emotional experience, no help, no empathy or kindness or understanding. Having struggled nearly a week to get help from pharmacists doctors and finally a dentist - absolutely no improvement in the pain and £85 wasted. Was looking for urgent care and advice - As experiencing severe intermittent right sided face pain - which is best described as intense pain radiating from the right ear/ upper jaw area across the face to the exact middle of the teeth in the lower jaw. The pain lasts for 10 -20minutes, the face becomes flushed, warm to the touch gradually the pain resolves. A couple of hours later the pain recurs. This has been going on for 4 or 5 days. We saw a GP for help - they advised it's a Dental issue. Unfortunately we choose to see a Rodericks dentist as it is a local practice. Following a desperate search for a next day appointment having tried (unsuccessfully) to manage the pain with basic analgesia for 4 or 5 days. At the appointment - Asked by the Dentist "what do you me to do about it?" WE DO NOT KNOW! that is why we are seeking Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry for help!! Don't waste your money - wait another day and see a dentist who you know or someone recommended to give COMPASSIONATE sensitive care, or even give advice. No constructive help at all. No improvement in pain problem either. Most of all not even a hint of reassurance or kindness, understanding or help in any way. Don't waste your time and money going there!!

Fantastic experience: I attended this dentist today and was seen by Dr Malik, im not comfortable with dentists and tend to get very nervous. Today I had a tooth extraction, I was a little scared to say the least, but Dr Malik and her team were fantastic! She was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable and calm. I can not reccomended this wonderfull dentist enough, thank you Dr Malik.

I asked for an emergency appointment and was given one the same day. Siobhan was really helpful and talked me through costs and further appointments. The dentist was kind and thorough, talking me through the problem . She was very reassuring and gave me good advice and sent follow up information.

While all appointments have been short, they have been to the point and all measures have been made to even fit fillings into our existing appointments. Negative experience: An utter waste of time. An appointment was made for my daughter to have a wire fixed on her braces. It was made very clear that it was an orthodontist appointment that was needed and that it was an issue with braces. The surgery was called twice (two different people were spoken to) to double check that they understood we needed an orthodontist appointment. We arrived at the surgery to be told that they were not able to help with braces. This wasted trip involved time off school and a taxi ride, all for nothing. Surgery staff were not particularly apologetic.
Fantastic experience: As usual my dentist Jassara Loberto was very dedicated and skillful. She is a great dentist whom I thoroughly recommend.
Positive experience: Overall it was tolerable, the dental nurse was very welcoming and lovely whereas I found the dentist quite blunt, abrupt and not as welcoming. Receptionist was lovely and helpful. I was called in 15-20 minutes after my allocated appointment time. The dentist took X-rays of my teeth then continued to ask me questions when the sharp corners of the X-ray equipment was digging into my mouth and was quite painful so understandably difficult to talk. I explained beforehand I am anxious when it comes to the dentist due to previous experiences and I dont feel like the dentist really took this on board, I didnt find them very reassuring. When I asked to be referred to a sedation clinic, I was told they usually have problems with referrals whereas my partner was referred from another NHS dentist in Buckingham with no issues at all, it felt very much like she was trying to persuade me to have my teeth extracted with them. I didn't come out of there feeling any better about my teeth sadly.

Negative experience: I was happy to see the sudden release of a significant number of NHS appointments and made an appointment on receipt of an email. Very happy that the appointment was 3 days after booking! The receptionist was great, obviously very busy but polite and very effective. Unfortunately the dentist was clearly administering a production line of patients. I was asked whether I used a manual or electric toothbrush but received no advice on the efficacy of either. The examination consisted of a series of semi violent prods, some of which were quite painful and accompanied by a conversation with the dental nurse which focused on the relative magnifications equipment used to examine my teeth. I was informed brusquely that I had gum disease and given advice to book an appointment with a dental hygienist. At no point was I encouraged to enter any kind of dialogue. I felt like an annoying inconvenience to this particular dentist's working day. Not impressed Rodericks but you succeeded in a referral to private dentistry. Very disappointing, it seems the NHS gets dentists with zero communication skills.

Negative experience: Please be careful at the time of paying! I had a hygienist appointment I paid £30 in advance which is normal to reserve the appointment I was told it would be £80 in total with £50 left to pay after the work was completed but at reception I was being asked for £106. The receptionist had no record of my £30 deposit thankfully I had kept the receipt in my wallet to prove it was paid, I was told because my appointment was 30 minutes it would be £106 I reminded her I was not told this at the time of booking that I had booked the £80 hygienist appointment and paid £30 in advance she said something about a mistake on the screen?? This is not the first time this has happened be very careful at time of payment or you will find yourself with a bigger bill than the service you bought. Keep your receipt as you have to prove you've paid the £30 hygienist booking fee or you will be charged again. I don't know if this is a mistake on their part which keeps happening or a way of making more money??
Fantastic experience: Saw a lovely dentist and dental nurse today, both new to the practice. Made my young children feel very at ease. Very helpfully saw our whole family in one consecutive slot.

Positive experience: After 3 years of cancelled appointments, contacted my MP and lo and behold I got an appointment. I have a condition called Sjogrens Syndrome in which I don’t produce saliva although I do take medication,wearing and tooth loss are primary symptoms and regular dental appt are paramount. The dentist noted i have considerable wear of my teeth and has booked me in for a 45 minute appointment in 2 weeks time and will also see if she can contact a teaching hospital that will see me as Sjogrens is a chronic condition. So all in all I’m happy with the service but still wish I’d been seen regularly initially.
Negative experience: After our last appointment, where the dentistry was good but customer service at reception SHOCKING.rude and abrupt, which was dissapointing and not ok, as we practically barked at. The practice service was greatly improved, although no one smiles.

Fantastic experience: I have recently joined The Buckingham Dental Practice (BDP) and cannot praise them enough. I had previously visited other NHS dentists in Buckingham trying to get signed up as an NHS patient. One particular practice was very rude to me when I had asked them a simple question and I would not contact them again. All of the staff at the BDP are so friendly, supportive and helpful. I needed an extraction last week and I was treated with great care and respect. Thank you so much and well done for providing such an excellent service for our community.

Fantastic experience: Over the last two years I feel this practice has improved significantly. At one point it was impossible to get appointments but that's due to a wider economic problem of NHS staff not being given the rewards they deserve so it's easier to be private. The staff are always really friendly , although cancellations happen alot , when appointments take place the hygienists are always really good and the dental nurses also. I can only praise the staff here

Negative experience: I had a check up appointment booked for 13 June and received a confirmation/reminder text a couple of days beforehand. When I turned up on the day the receptionist told me my dentist had left months earlier and head office had closed their books but not notified the patients. The receptionist simply had the attitude that it was nothing to do with them, and eventually offered a weak apology. She said I was the second person that day who had turned up for a non existent appointment. I was appalled and incredulous, having just driven for 30 mins to reach them. If I did not turn up I'm sure they would have charged me but there was no offer to compensate me for wasted time and petrol. This is no way to run a business and I would not recommend them at all. I won't be going back.
Negative experience: Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this dental practice. On multiple occasions, my appointments were cancelled without any prior communication. Each time, the blame was placed on an automated messaging system, which was quite frustrating and inconvenient.

Positive experience: Arranging the appointment was speedy and straightforward. I was seen on time and given a thorough check-up. All staff were pleasant and efficient. Only slight negative are the narrow, steep and twisty stairs up to the room where I was seen.

Negative experience: What a total disaster of a company, I had bad tooth ache so rang up in the morning first thing 8.30 got to front of queue after 15 mins waiting then phone was cut off, I ran back then it happened again then the 3rd time got through and was told to ring up the tomorrow morning, I went in to reception first thing and got an appointment that day, I went to the appointment to be greeted with the dentist saying I’ve only got 15 minutes so I don’t know what I can do for you. She hit my tooth so hard I jumped out the chair nearly, then she puts a temporary filling in and asked me if I wanted antibiotics or not. I got home and the pain got worse so I had to take out the filling myself to relieve the pressure that built up. I have been to another dentist now and they have sorted me out. This dentist is without doubt the worst place I’ve ever been.

Fantastic experience: I was early for my appointment and was seen immediately. The dentist examined my teeth and X-ray taken, the whole process was smooth and I was made to feel comfortable. Would highly recommended this practice
Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental clinic, staff are friendly and helpful, my dentist was excellent and I now have a plan to complete the work by the end of April, I’m absolutely delighted as it’s been a problem for me for over a year

Fantastic experience: Some really good dentists here now plus a super friendly and kind receptionist!
Negative experience: Receptionist is very stern and unwelcoming. It costs nothing to smile and engage especially when you’re paying outrageous prices for a hygienist!
Fantastic experience: Good, finally seen a dentist as appointments were being cancelled but there’s a new dentist I saw today and she’s very good!
