Fantastic experience: Just been for my bi-annual check-up with Arun and Diane. Been using this surgery for years. Always friendly and efficient. In and out without problems and nicely followed by a reminder for my next appointment 6 months later.

Fantastic experience: Long established practice giving the highest standard of both dentistry and customer service. I have been attending now for over fifty years. I do not live locally but it is well worth the journey for the warm welcome and expert dental care that I always receive.

Negative experience: What an absolute joke. Phoned up for a normal appointment about a re-referral to the dental hospital just for them to tell me it had to be an emergency appointment as they might remove it even though I know they wouldn’t. Held the line twice for 3 minutes to be hung up on both times. When I phoned back they had no appointments left and the woman claimed their phones weren’t working properly and so I had to use the same phone line that doesn’t work to phone back the next day. To which I did, and again held for 20 minutes and got told to leave a message as they weren’t even answering the phones this time. Decided to go in and managed to get the emergency appointment. Waited 20 minutes to be seen to then go in and have the dentist tell me all I had to do was phone the dental hospital as my referral was still open and then charged me £27.50 for it?? Absolute joke of a practice to charge that much for not even a 5 minute appointment and no treatment done whatsoever.

Negative experience: The last few times I’ve visited Prescot dental house I’ve felt like they havent had any time for me. I was literally in and out at my last appointments within 10 minutes if that. It was very busy in the waiting room but stills The dentist spoke x2 speed and didn’t even tell me about my teeth I had to ask if everything was okay otherwise it was just ‘that’s everything bye’. It was my most rushed service yet and I could tell she just tried to finish me as soon as possible because it was busy. Really unprofessional and doesn’t give me any confidence that the check up is thorough with any duty of care to be honest.

From young Jessica on the phones who couldn’t be any more helpful and polite if she tried to my dentist Anna who just pulled my tooth out. She was very professional, told me exactly what she was going to do and made me feel very comfortable sat mouth agape waiting for a tooth to be pulled. The staff are welcoming and cheerful providing prompt attention when needed and very helpful in sorting out problems. The dentist Arun and dental nurse Deb explained in a professional and understanding manner all procedures and cost which leaves one confident that the very best has been done for you.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I had a tooth taken out by Scott, it was a really stubborn awkward tooth that just wasn’t playing. Scott worked for two hours and with the help of another dentist finally managed to remove it. I was really reluctant to be referred on to a specialist and Scott knew this an wouldn’t give up until it happened. Reassuring me and checking on me the whole way through. I’m really grateful for everything he done along with his colleague thank you so much

Negative experience: I missed my appointment as it was booked ages away. My fault. But usually get a text and email. Anyway was re booked for wed. Then they cancelled it day before. I said It’s for my cap to be re fitted. Paid 27 something to sit in a chair for 5 mins. Not even clean it and shove it in my mouth with attitude and tell me not to be nervous. I said is that it no clean no anything just sat here for 5 mins to be told was booked in as an emergency and have to rebook.

My only problem was I’d stood outside for 10 mins because the main door was shut not realising the dentist was open! I didn’t think to push the door to see if was open, how thick am I? So if you could just open the main red door too when you open up my visit would have been perfect.

Negative experience: T.B.H. I'm disappointed, I was expecting more, I was given an x-ray and told that I have an infection, then I was given a prescription for antibiotics and told to find a dentist? That's a bit like queuing up for cinema tickets and being told to find another cinema. The NHS is a joke.

X ray of my problem tooth was done and I was given a course of antibiotics for an infection. I was advised to have root canal and crown or bridge to replace tooth. Appointment already booked for April. Very happy with how quickly it was dealt with.
