Fantastic experience: Really good dentist. Caring helpful staff that went out of their way to make sure i was comfortable. Very professional

Negative experience: I can in yesterday afternoon for 4 fillings two in which were on teeth very close to my front ones. As you can see by the photos the fillings have not been smoothed down and you can clearly see how badly they’ve been done which in turn has made me very self conscious. Another filling has not been filled in fully and there’s still a hole which is causing me discomfort I would really appreciate if someone called me asap to resolve this

Fantastic experience: After a slightly worrying examination by a locum dentist, Dr Mayher examined me again, at no extra cost. He put my mind at rest and he was incredibly reassuring. I feel very lucky to have him as my dentist. Excellent service and lovely staff.

Fantastic experience: Since the pandemic, there has been a variety of new dentists, and all have been very good. However, none has been so professional, empathetic and patient as Mr. Mahyar. He has carried out a number of treatments for me, including extraction and replacing a crown, and at every stage he has explained what is happening and what my choices have been. The surgery is clean and I have never had long to wait. For some time, I had mobility issues and the receptionists always took the time and trouble to let me know when a downstairs surgery was available, or to warn me about the need to go upstairs. I was very grateful for their kindness, which made a tremendous difference to the whole experience of visiting the dentist. I have been at this practice since 1981 and have always been happy with the care received - but never more so than now. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: It was very easy to sign up to this dentist and they had appointments with decent waiting times. The reception staff are friendly and bubbly, the place is immaculate clean and I received top care and advice from the dentists there. No hidden fees, completely up front and transparent about prices. I’ve recently moved to the area so it was my first time going here and I’m happy to say this is my dentist going forward!

Negative experience: Called today to ask about getting a second opinion on a dental plan. The receptionist didn’t give her name, asked me twice for details I’d already given, and wasn’t able to explain the process clearly. When I asked whether my existing scan could be used, I was told I’d need to pay for another one without any real explanation why. The call ended abruptly with “okay, have a lovely day,” which felt dismissive. Overall, poor first impression and not the level of customer service you’d expect from a dental practice. Later edit: I emailed the practice to clarify my feedback but received no reply. I had already decided not to proceed, and the lack of follow-up has only reinforced that decision.

Fantastic experience: My NHS Dentures snapped , This Dentist fixed them and reinforced them They are as good as new now and firt better . There was No charge !

Positive experience: 2nd visit. All good. Needed a further X-ray for a tooth which needs extracting. Aram v professional and all done within 5 mns. Premises is well presented and the reception staff friendly 1st visit as an NHS patient. Professional examination from Aram (i think) and clear recommendation to the extraction clinic. No silly recommendations to a Hygenist. Receptionist staff also very welcoming and helpful. Really glad I made the effort to come to this practice. One of the few that offer NHS

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank this dentist enough. I had to change dentists to Springfield because the previous dentist I was at (South cliff on battle rd), Left me so scared and nervous. This dentist was amazing, I was not scared when I got into the chair, she helped me and made me feel so welcome, calm and made sure I understood what she was doing. I would recommend this dentist 100%. They understand me so well and they understand my anxiety.

Fantastic experience: Changed dentists to hear a couple of years ago after rudeness from Bupa. Have to say they have been nothing but polite, respectful, great empathy and professionalism. Fantastic experience: My mum had been waiting over a month for a tooth extraction with southcliff dental practice battle road, in agony! They couldn’t offer her any appointment so I called Springfield Road in desperation. The receptionist answered on one ring and was kind and helpful. An emergency appointment was booked for the Saturday and the two dentist couldn’t have been more supportive. They extracted the tooth and looked after my mum with kindness. When I picked her up she cried with relief. Thank you so much ❤️

Negative experience: In Nov I was told I needed 2 extractions, I couldn't make that appointment at the time as i was nursing my Mother. When i did make the appointment and i attended i was saw a different dentist and he said if it not giving me any problems I'd be better off not having it done. So I wasted a afternoon.

Fantastic experience: I visited Springfield on the 6th Feb with my 90 year old father who has dementia for a tooth extraction. We saw Mr Pour who was delightful with my father. He was kind and gentle and explained everything carefully to him. Despite my father being a bit repetitive Mr Pour was very patient. He advised my father on the potential dental treatment taking time to carefully examine his mouth and teeth. My father felt very satisfied with both the advice and treatment received and I felt Mr Pour was sympathetic towards my elderly dad and showed real empathy towards him. I would like to thank Mr Pour for his advice and help and for the way he treated an old man

Fantastic experience: I've been looking for a new dentist for ages as my previous one has gone over to private practice and found these guys mentioned on a forum. Very polite and efficient service from reception and was given a dentist and dental nurse with a sense of humour during my first visit and examination. On my second visit 2 weeks later to have 3 fillings replaced, they had come out over the last 2 years. The job was done in no time at all and with minimal discomfort. We even managed a few jokes during the process. Very happy to recommend this practice and Mr Kim who treated me. Booked in straight away for my 6 month check up. Cheers all and Hope this helps. Update. I'm having six monthly appointments for regular check-ups and have to say that the service has been consistently pleasant and efficient. After 2 years I am more than happy to continue to recommend Springfield Dental Service and Mr Kim as a dentist. They excel from the reception desk onwards. Cheers again.

Negative experience: First time visiting the dentist. Lovely friendly staff. But wasn’t very keen on the dentist I saw upstairs. He knew I was nervous. But not once did he talk me thru or explain anything he was doin. Quite abrupt to his assistant, well that’s what I thought. “I had a suppose to be a crown fitted” was just filled which fell out just recently. I’m too scared to go back. Hope I can see another dentist there!

Fantastic experience: My children and I moved to Springfield Road Dental after being let down numerous times at our Rye practice. We were seen promptly and the staff were courteous and welcoming, and the Dentist made my kids feel very at ease.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been under the care of Martin Cramp for nearly 40 yrs .. in Eastbourne and now in Hastings.He is excellent at his job and very thoughtful and caring. I have had a gentleman once upstairs and was not impressed. He obviously didn’t like his job or his clients.

Fantastic experience: Cannot fault the clinical care at Springfield Dental Practice. However, the waiting area (particularly on 1st floor) is extremely dated and tired - with just some naff wicker chairs to sit on. Very sterile and unwelcoming. I would suggest some funds are invested in improving the patient facilities.

Gabe me options as to how too proceed through the operation/procedure and asked me if i wanted pain supressants for the operation. Very helpful and kind. Imho first time ive feeled really welcome to be there.
