Fantastic experience: Attended 05/11/25 for a crown to be fitted. Andy has been caring for my teeth since he and his wife started the practice. The work was completed to what I regard as a very high standard. His approach and manner is professional and friendly. Staff at the practice are also friendly and professional. She was kind, patient, and such a great listener — she made me feel completely comfortable. I explained how much my teeth were affecting my confidence, and I truly felt that she cared. She completely transformed my smile and gave me the confidence to smile on my wedding day. I had so many compliments on my teeth, and it honestly made me feel amazing. Negative experience: We have left this dentist as a family of four. My partner has complex dental needs which were not followed up after several extractions. My 23 yo daughter who has previously had braces as a teenager and has perfect teeth was asked if she wanted cosmetic treatment virtually before she opened her mouth. In my case, they used an in house crown printer which leaves a rough surface which compare poorly on clinical outcomes with traditional crowns. Andrew had to replace one. Another two remain rough to the touch despite a second polish and they have continued sensitivity despite a second visit. Throughout all visits I was told my smile would be transformed with cosmetics which led to me booking an appointment when I didn't really need one. Too much poor basic dental work and too much up sell. We have moved on.

Fantastic experience: I had my composite bonding and whitening done from Kiki over a year ago now, the difference at the time was unbelievable and still looks the exact same now. She is amazing at what she does and I'd highly recommend her to anyone and already have recommended her to a few Nash is also my dentist in the practice who is great, he gives you a lot of good detail after check ups/treatments, makes you feel at ease and is someone I really trust with my teeth

Fantastic experience: During the crossing from the Netherlands to Newcastle, I developed a toothache. Treatment was necessary. Upon arriving at the hotel in Edinburgh, I looked for the nearest dentist and went in as early as possible the next morning to ask if they could help me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The assistant immediately checked if there was room, and fortunately, due to a cancellation, I was able to be seen immediately. The costs were clearly discussed in advance. Afterward, I could easily pay online and received a digital invoice. I also received the x-ray by email for my own dentist's information. The dentist in charge, Dr. Andrew Norman, acted decisively, was empathetic, and calmly and clearly explained what was going on and what he was going to do. I was able to continue my tour of Scotland without any pain.

Fantastic experience: Nervous patient here, historic painful experiences at the dentist. Andrew was very understanding. Took great care to explain the process comprehensively and clearly. Have to praise the assistant too, so caring. The whole process (a fairly complicated onlay) was pain free and done in a day. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Fantastic experience: Pedro has been outstanding with helping me get my smile wedding ready! From changing out metal fillings, to teeth whitening and composite bonding he has been great. Fantastic experience: I recently visited Haymarket Dental for a check up and then treatment. On arrival I was met with very friendly reception staff which was very welcoming. My assessment and treatment was completed by Nash. The assessment was very thorough and he spent his time discussing his findings and treatment options. When it came to the treatment Nash made me feel at ease, he explained the treatment in further detail and made sure I was comfortable throughout (as comfortable as you would expect from dental treatment). Overall I definately recommend seeing Nash and visiting Haymarket Dental.

Fantastic experience: The best experience from the beginning - with advice and options…. all way to the end- with one happy proud smile. I had a silver crown replaced which Andrew treated and replaced with great care and reassurance throughout the procedure. Today, I went back to have an implant fitted and again, had complete reassurance it was going to be fine. He gave time to answer all questions with reference to scans to help me understand more. Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Haymarket Dental Practice for a number of years, with Andy Norman continuing to keep my teeth in excellent condition, with valuable advice and help to me and my family. Today I had a double appointment to remove an old NHS metal crown, and a 30 year old front crown. The resulting porcelain crowns are fantastic, especially my front one which is an exact replica of my other front tooth in shape and colour. I can definitely recommend Andy and his team without question.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I’ve ever had, been there for 15 years! Andrew is fantastic at giving painless injections and there is a very professional and warm attitude towards the patients. Would give higher than 5 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: Kiki and Andy brought a breath of fresh air and the 21st century into a rather tired practise. Everyone is friendly but professional and the care and attention I have received over the years is exceptional. I no longer work in Edinburgh and now live in Perthshire but I enjoy my regular visits to the city - even if it is to the dentist!

Negative experience: Left practise due to a few recent issues combining: - Despite attending numerous checkups, my wisdom tooth suddenly had to be removed due to decay. The tooth had no issues previously. Given the substantial decay (too much for a filling) in a short timeframe since last checkup, I can't take the risk going forward that this problem may have been missed previously. - Large % price increase - emailed about this but got no reply. Don't like it when I'm informed of a new price, without being advised what the previous price was. This makes it harder to understand what the price increase is without cross-referencing bank statements/paperwork. There was an increase of about 26% in July 2023, followed by another smaller increase of about 4% recently. - Paid extra for tooth cleaning outside my Denplan, specifically to target 1 wisdom tooth, but the strain remains. Wasted £84. I appreciate it's a difficult/small spot to clean, but that was the point of the appointment, which I'd discussed. - Had to chase for x-ray scan results - Had a filling which I've had for years re-done, when I got home I noticed they had rounded/changed the shape of the tooth making it appear smaller and flatter. Should've explained/discussed beforehand rather than just doing, I feel. The bite had to be re-adjusted after - not surprising as the shape was changed.

Fantastic experience: Tooth agony after receiving great advice from Andrew Norman got root canal treatment. After 3 visits the treatment has been successful the procedure was well explained throughout Wasn't painful and even got to see my x-ray at end with a explanation on what happened Andrew put me at ease during the treatment . I highly recommend them as they won’t disappoint! With their help they have allowed me to achieve my perfect smile, making me feel so much more confident in myself. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Haymarket practice for a very long time. When Andrew and Kiki took over the practice it was the first time in my life I was older than my dentist! Andrew is the third dentist I have had since the 60’s. Yesterday (weds 8th May) I had to say farewell to my bridge which has been with me for 40 years! Andrew had warned me over the past few appointments it was on its way out. Decay set in, there was no option but to replace. Old one out, new one in, all in one day! Amazing! I can’t praise Andrew and Stacey enough! Keeping me informed through it all. Taking the time to show me how the 3D scanner scans the old bridge etc.. Made to measure! 24 Hours later and it’s like my old bridge is still with me. I suppose I’ve been blessed to have had 3 superb dentists…..2 Old Skool (Mr Makison and Mr Cleghorn) .. ….1 New Skool (Dr. Andrew Norman). I raise my glass of Malbec to all at Haymarket Dental. Well, I'm over the moon that I found this place, and in particular, Dr. Kiki Norman. The initial consultation inspired me to believe that I had come to the right place. So enthusiastic, and everything was explained very well. Then the actual procedure and the results. Again, the Team were just amazing and seeing the look on there faces as it all came together was great. I've not stopped smiling since I had the work done and the compliments have been non-stop. He done an amazing job removing the broken screw from implant and tooth and fitting new screw. His expertise saved me a lot of money being able to save implant that was fitted in 2014 and not having to have a new implant done. Andrew is a superb dentist and would highly recommend him. Fantastic experience: I've been with Haymarket Dental for many years. Sharon and the reception staff are always very welcoming and the dentists who have treated me are very caring and knowledgeable. I've always had a big fear of going to the dentists but they along with the dental nurses have saint like patience with me and make sure I am comfortable at all times and I know most of all they care about my oral health. They offer lots of advice on what I should be doing at home to maintain good teeth and gums and have some good chat to help make the experience to make the visit more enjoyable.

They are always offering important advice, always pleasant and provide a great service. Sign up for the Denplan as it's well worth it, its the cost of a few drinks per month, this is your dental health so know where your priorities lie. The team have even gave away free toothpaste, white fillings and discounted loads of products in the past. It's a no brainer for a great service.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Haymarket Dental for two years. I initially sought advice for replacement of a broken crown which my NHS dentist had been unable to fix. Dr Norman was quickly able to fit a temporary crown and then provided a comprehensive assessment with explanation of the options available along with a detailed breakdown of costs. The treatment plan has addressed a number issues and I have had a range of treatments including root canal, new crowns and an implant. The level of care from the team and quality of work has been exceptional throughout and I am delighted with the outcome.

However Stacey asked me a series of specific questions on the phone, from the answers I gave she accurately assessed it was from excessive grinding and told me the steps to take.
