Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for 3 years and realise how lucky I am every time I visit the practice. From the receptionists through to the dental nurses and the dentists themselves, everyone is very friendly and professional. An added bonus is that James is a highly skilled implant specialist. Everything you can ask for in a dental practice.

Positive experience: Today the practice had an all hands team meeting, from 1300-1400, so patients were left waiting outside the locked front door in the cold wind and rain for 15-20 minutes. Not a nice thing to do to over 70's.

Positive experience: A very good experience at Hayden Dentist today I saw the hygienist who, as usual, did a very thorough clean on my teeth. He and all the staff were very courteous and I was given good advice on improving my dental care at home.

Fantastic experience: Ms Perks was extremely professional and took careful consideration of a medical issue which affects the way I am treated.

Negative experience: I visited Hayden Dental a few weeks ago and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I was charged an “emergency fee” of £175 even though my appointment was booked two weeks in advance. I had only mild, occasional discomfort (no pain relief required) and had clearly explained which tooth was bothering me. During the consultation, the dentist did not check the rest of my teeth. In my view, a proper consultation should include an overall check to rule out any other contributing issues. I was advised over the phone that the consultation would include treatment for one tooth if needed, and that my under-6 child could also be checked for free if I brought her along. On the day, the receptionist said this was a misunderstanding. I have recordings of my calls which confirm what I was told, so this was frustrating. The receptionist on the day also seemed unsure, mumbling and giving inconsistent advice, which did not inspire confidence. The new filling I received now catches food, so I feel I will need to seek treatment elsewhere to correct this. Overall, my concerns are less about the money and more about the experience, unclear communication, surprise charges, and wrong advice. I would suggest the practice invest in staff training, as first impressions and clear communication are just as important as the dental treatment itself.

Fantastic experience: Receiving implants is surely never a good experience, but this practice is excellent in all respects. I received implants maybe fifteen years ago and they have been very good, but the technology has moved on and Hayden Dental have adopted many amazing tools to make the process the best it can be. James and his personable team ensure that the patient is aware of exactly what they are doing. I was kept informed of all aspects of the treatment as it progressed as well as how I would feel during the healing process. Yesterday I had my penultimate appointment when the teeth were attached with great care to ensure that they fitted properly. My own dentist recommended Hayden Dental when I recently lost a couple of front teeth and after an initial consultation I chose to proceed with implants despite the cost being higher than the perhaps less satisfactory alternatives. I am very happy with the result.

Every member of staff I've met has been fantastic (Cerys, Will and Tom to name a few we've seen the most.) The team are also wonderful with both of my daughters (one of whom is autistic).

If you don't have the money at hand then you don't get no treatment. That's why only 4 star. But the lady's on front desk helped out a lot and very friendly, they make you feel like they have known you for years

Fantastic experience: Although I no longer live in Carmarthen, I still travel back to the town to attend Hayden Dental because of the excellent service they provide. There's always a warm welcome to the building and both the dentist and the hygienist go to great lengths to make me feel comfortable and to keep me informed about my teeth. They always tell me what I can do to look after my teeth well in between appointments too. I will be very sorry when I can no longer travel back to the area to get to Hayden Dental.

I was seen by Cerys and although I suffer terrible anxiety with the dentist , she kept me relaxed and reassured throughout the whole appointment and explained everything so well and answered all of my questions. Fantastic experience: I can think of better ways to spend a morning but now my implant work is well underway I’ve nothing but praise for James and his team,all my appointments have been on time and conducted professionally and kindly every part of the procedure was explained clearly, just two weeks to go and the stitches will be out….excellent pre Christmas diet. Now it’s February back for more fitting scanning and colour matching for the final Big Day when I leave with big smile and two new front teeth… Finally discharged, it’s April quite a long haul but every visit has been progress and to look in mirror and see firm front teeth the relief of not having a denture or being over cautious in what I eat is amazing once again THANK YOU JAMES AND YOUR TEAM for your care hopefully I shan’t be visiting again for such an experience but should it happen I’ve no worries

I always ask to see Nadia because she makes me feel calm as I have a big fear of the dentist still at the age of 52. She explains everything of what she is going to do, she really does put the patient first.

James was excellent from the start I had false teeth made up until I can afford implants they are so good I am questioning whether I really need to have implants.
