Fantastic experience: had a wonderful experience with watford dental all pleasantly delightful and friendly. Made me feel so at ease as I am a nervous patient and guided me through all my treatment in such detail. Reception team were lovely. Spoke with the manager too who was a delight and very helpful, when i needed a refund for cancellation of a hygiene, as I was moving out of the area she explained in such detail of how the process worked. Negative experience: Reception manger Sapphire is the rudest person I have ever spoken to she really let’s the whole Watford dental team down. Compared me to other patients with disability’s saying if they can do then I should be able to also asked ‘what my disability had to do with it’ Shouted at me on the phone, over spoke me, treated me like I was not worth her time to the point I ended up crying on the phone and all she did was laugh … this all happened on a recorded phone call. When I asked to make a complaint, the only person I was allowed to complain to he was self She would not let me speak to anyone else and denied me Access to email address of the head of the practice as she’s the manager. I am still escalating this with DCS. If you have a disability or want to be treated like a decent human, avoid Watford dental practice! I’ve now joined an amazing dental practice in St Albans (st Albans dental clinic) Highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are so wonderful!

Positive experience: My hygienist appt was booked for 9am. Called in at 09.10 was seen at 09.13 and treatment was finished at 09.35. Expected full 30 mins but cut short to 22 mins. I understand changeover of surgeries but not really acceptable for the price of a hygienist appt!!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been using this dentist for a number of years now. Dr Hirani is knowledgable friendly and polite. She often recommends the course of treatment that is best for the patient versus other dentists I have visited who seem to want to just take money for extra treatments! The reception staff are also pleasant and helpful to me, my wife and my children. This is often against a backdrop of when the a dental practice is busy, or when dealing with some challenging clients. Would recommend this as a they do NHS treatment and have good dental hygienists. There is free parking on the surrounding streets after 10am and before 5pm.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been seeing Dr Shah for about 15 years. When I first began seeing him my teeth was not in the greatest condition and the work he has done since to make them neater and comfortable via the NHS is phenomenal. He always takes time to listen to your issues and deals with problems efficiently. He's very gentle and has been excellent with my daughter who's a little nervous. Overall the best dentist I've ever had and highly recommended. The practise aa a whole is friendly, clean and the staff are always polite and helpful.

Negative experience: I have an horrible experience, i went there as an emergency appointment, i told them all my circumstances and they took scan and said it’s will be getting worser soon and ask me to leave the hospital without any treatment and i paid £26 for nothing. Still in pain.

We prescribed you a course of antibiotics and advised what pain killers to take. We also advised you to come back for a full dental examination to plan definitive treatment for said tooth that is causing you pain.

You paid £26.80 for the area to be examined that is causing you pain. The x-ray is included in this price. Under the NHS guidelines, we have done everything we can for you today.

Fantastic experience: I saw Denisa for a second Hygenist appointment today. A wonderful practitioner and so very thorough. At my first appointment with Denisa, she told me in a very honest way what to do to increase my oral hygiene. I listened to her and put what she suggested into practice. I cannot recommend her & this practice highly enough.

Negative experience: they scamming the system. if someone is on benefit and getting free dental they strech the treatment and put one treatment as 5 different ones. I figured out when I stopped qualifying for free dental and got fee to pay for 5 treatments when it was 5 appointments for same tooth job, scammers. I left this dental practice and no more problems Update: response to the owner - can you then explain me how did you manage to put one tooth job -crown as 5 separate treatments? When I contacted you you told me because there were few dentist seeing me and because you spaced the appointments in time it is treated as different treatment, You also told me NHS won't be intrested in me giving them copy of my dental record which would prove it was all same treeatment for same tooth, and you were right they werent intersted... whatever you lie they take

I'm not too sure how you have come to this conclusion as the system wouldn't allow a clinician to claim for multiple treatments on the same tooth. It would simply get rejected from the NHS.

Once a course of treatment is opened, (usually on the day of your examination) all treatment that needs to be completed will be added to that course of treatment. If you need 1, 2, 3 or even more appointments, it's all covered under the same band on the NHS, whether you're a paying patient, or exempt from NHS charges.

The information you have provided is false.

Final response to update: Some treatment types such as treatment that has to be sent to a laboratory, will require multiple appointments. However, if under NHS charges, will only pay 1 band. I don't understand what you're talking about, NHS have not contacted us in regards to any fraudulent claiming. We also regularly send clinical notes to patients which you are entitled to have copies of. If you would care to email me - [email protected], so i can investigate this for you.

Negative experience: Trying to get an appt as a new private patient is like applying for a mortgage - gave up and went elsewhere. I just wanted a private appt for a cracked tooth and they couldn’t deal with it on the phone and needed emails and forms. Very strange.

I am sorry to hear that you decided not to register with us. I have listened back to the conversation between yourself and the receptionist, and she informed you that you will need to complete a medical history form before your first appointment.

It was a very quick conversation, and I can’t hear any moment where she seems to not be ‘dealing with it’.

It is important for us as a health care provider, weather you’re a private or NHS patient, that we have your medical history on file so that we can factor any medications you’re on into your treatment plan, so we can understand the oral health challenges you’re facing and to suggest and carry out treatments that fit in with the medication you’re taking.

Looking at your recent reviews, I can see that you’re not happy with other healthcare providers and you give poor reviews quite often. It’s a shame in some cases like this, there is just no pleasing people.

Negative experience: I don’t like to leave bad reviews because I know how important they are for a business, but on this case I find it necessary. A couple of days ago I went to the dental Practice to book an appointment and they gave me one for the same day a bit later on. I attended my appointment like one hour late because I had to stay a bit longer at work, when I got there I explained to the lady on reception the situation and she called the doctor by phone and I clearly listen to her saying “It’s up to you if you want to attend her”, besides there was no one waiting to be attended. They refuse to take my appointment or giving me a refund. Imagine paying £75 for a service and never get it. I don’t really want a refund I just want to get an appointment another time but they want to charge me again £75. As we know dentists are very expensive, I emailed them but they still refuse. This is a clear example of someone who just wants money and doesn’t care at all about the patients/clients.

I am sorry to hear that you had to stay longer at work which caused you to not attend your appointment on time.

After reviewing the CCTV and phone call between the receptionist and the dentist, I am upset to learn that you are lying regarding the telephone call between the receptionist and dentist.

The receptionist explained to the dentist that you had to stay at work and that’s why you’re late, the receptionist then said, ‘can you see her?’ The dentist then said she can’t see you for a full examination within 5 minutes (this was the time between you arriving and her next patient who was sitting in the upstairs waiting room, which you wouldn’t of seen as our reception desk is ground floor.

I have spoken to the receptionist and our learning curve from this is to ask the dentist 'Do you have time to see the patient?,' instead of 'Can you see her?' Hopefully this will make it clearer to patients that a dentist not seeing you is not out of choice, but clinicians do run on tight schedules.

In a case like this, if you had given us a courtesy phone call to let us know you were going to be late, we would of tried to accommodate by asking the patients booked after you to attend earlier, meaning we could of fit you in at the time you arrived, or shortly after.

Our practice policy which you have indeed signed on the 17th January 2024 at 12:24pm that we have on file states that ‘we do require deposits for private treatments at the time of booking. If you don’t attend your appointment or cancel less than 48 hours before, your deposit will be taken for loss of clinical time.’

A refund or rebooking free of charge has been refused, as you breached our practice policy.

We wish you the best for your future dental treatment and I suggest familiarising yourself with your future dental practices policy surrounding non-attendance, as all dental practices have these in place.

Negative experience: Spent 10 minutes holding to speak to someone listening to all the things the practice offers even NHS patients when the lady answered the phone she said "yes" no hello or even who they were and then went silent I then asked if they take NHS patients she told me "no" it was like I'd phoned someone's mobile. Not very helpful or professional

At the beginning of the phone call, after the receptionist answered the phone, it sounded like you picked your phone up off a surface as there was a delay in your response. I assume as you were on hold you did not have the phone to your ear and you did not hear the receptionist say, ‘Watford Dental Practice, how can I help?’

Regarding your comment about NHS patients, I have also listened back to the automated message on our telephones which is played when a patient is put on hold during busy periods. It states, ‘Our practice is committed to providing a high standard of NHS as well as private treatment.’ At no point in the automated recording does it state we are accepting new NHS patients, just that we offer NHS options, as well as private. Sorry you were unable to understand this.

Fantastic experience: This practice and the staff were a complete life saver! I was suffering from impacted wisdom tooth pain, and unable to get an appointment at my usual dentist any sooner than 5 days time. I was referred here by NHS 111, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The receptionist was lovely, very empathetic and was able to get me an emergency appointment two hours later. My appointment was with Mr. Aftab Hussain, and he was superb! Diagnosed the issue speedily, provided me with the treatment, discussed preventative measures and how the issue would be treated if it occured again, and made me laugh. Excellent all around! Thank you so much!

Negative experience: I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this Dental Practice in Watford, and I feel compelled to share my negative encounter. This dental practice has proven to be lacking in professionalism, friendliness, and, most importantly, empathy! Moreover, I was shocked by their complete disregard for clear communication and their inability to ask for necessary details when cancelling an appointment ON TIME! Despite informing them about my change of address, they failed to inquire about the updated information needed to send a refund cheque. And they heard me saying that! To add to the frustration, the dental practice made no effort to explain their refund policy when I called. Clear communication and transparency should be fundamental aspects of any reputable dental practice, but sadly, these were sorely lacking. They only provided this ‘explanation’ after I have chased about my refund a few days later and they were calling me by the wrong name with no APOLOGY! Also this was coming from one of their managers or the manager whatever! My experience with this Dental Practice has left me deeply disappointed and concerned about their lack of professionalism and patient care. I strongly urge potential patients to consider other dental practices that are committed to providing quality service and empathy when expressing a concern! Pathetic service! I hope that by sharing my experience, it will encourage them to reflect on their shortcomings and take the necessary steps to improve their professionalism, friendliness. It is essential for dental practices to prioritise clear communication and demonstrate professionalism! For the person who keeps replying around here: Just grow up and take accountability! You don't even know how to speak to patients and you keep blaming them! Gaslighting even! Also learn how to reply to reviews and familiarise yourself with common sense and professionalism! I can also see that in the other reviews where people express their poor experience with them to make sure to ‘familiarise’ with their policy and so on (defensive there eh?) but they don't look at themselves and at their MISLEADING POLICY that they don't even share with patients!! Also maybe get some proper training on how to speak to patients!! Im still waiting for the cheque they keep mentioning!!! They delayed this for no reason!! No real apology or anything again pathetic! EDIT: The person who has replied to my review acts very childish and they dont know how to deal with people in general! They are on defence mode 24/7! You guys were very unhelpful, unclear and very UNPROFESSIONAL! Your policy is MISLEADING AND UNUSUAL! For the 100th time on the phone when I called I said ‘I need to cancel my appointment as I no longer live in Watford’ STOP LYING just for the sake of your Google review here! You pretend you are perfect and never make mistakes yet here you are! Indeed is a shame we got to this but good to know what sort of company this is! The person who is replying to my review is not professional at all and they think they can intimidate me here with their unprofessional replies! Nice try go speak to someone else like that ok! And wow the reply received for this review is appalling to say the least and just ridiculous how they gaslight you! Stop defending poor service, when people have bad experiences they have the right to express their reviews!! And NO you did not call me by the wrong name just twice, you also stated on the envelope and cheque the wrong surname and COVERED IT UP! LIARS! Do you want me to share these here?! I am sorry your experience has been a disappointing one. It’s a shame that our back-to-back emails that included several apologies were not enough and you felt the need to post a negative review. However, I will take this opportunity to apologise again, but this time publicly, and to put our version of events across so other potential patients can understand both sides.

You phoned the practice on 03/07 and spoke to one of the receptionists asking to cancel your appointment. You informed the receptionist that you were ‘moving’. Moving being future, not past tense. Therefore, the receptionist assumed you had not changed address yet. You stated in your review that you informed the receptionist you changed address. I have listened back to the phone call, lasting 1 minute and 47 seconds, at no point did you give the receptionist this information that you knew she would need. How was the receptionist supposed to know that you had already moved house and needed to take your new address down? She is not a mind reader.

You emailed the practice on 06/07 informing us you had not received your refund. The receptionist replied via email that it had been posted and is on its way to you. You responded and explained that you assumed the refund would reach your bank account already and that the refund process wasn’t explained to you. On 7th July the receptionist emailed you back and apologised that our refund process wasn’t explained to you and asked you for your new address. You responded with your new address and stated how you find this service misleading. I then responded to you, sending my apologises that there has been some confusion surrounding your refund. You then responded informing me that the receptionist said, ‘all done’ when you asked for a refund, which I then apologised again on behalf of the receptionist that she did not make it clear by what she meant by ‘all done’. I explained to you that when she said ‘all done’ she meant your refund request has been submitted and your appointment has been cancelled. I then informed you that I have spoken with the reception team to ensure that this one-off situation won’t happen again and that extra training will be provided to them.

I addressed you as ‘Miss Adams’ instead of ‘Miss Adam’ twice, by accident. I am sorry that me adding an ‘s’ onto the end of your surname has really offended you, but I can assure you that this was a human error. You then responded very rudely and threatened, ‘My surname is Adam and not Adams first of all. You said that twice now. I expect this refund/cheque whatever it is, to be received asap before I take this further.’ I did not respond to you as I didn’t feel like you were speaking to me as politely as I was to you, therefore I chose to respond as I told you I would when the cheque had been posted, which I did.

From the first email received by yourself, you were very rude, calling us unusual and ridiculous. We are human beings and we do not deserve to be spoken to in this manner.

You will receive your cheque to your new address no later than Thursday 13th July, giving there are no postal strikes or delays. Most businesses take 5-10 working days to process refunds. You have waited 8 working days, which I believe is reasonable.

I do not believe our refund policy is ‘misleading’. Our policy clearly states that our refunds are issued by cheque. Our policy is displayed on our website and in practice. I am sorry you’re frustrated and have had to wait 8 days to receive your refund. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with your future dental practice’s policy surrounding refunds. I have scheduled in some training with our receptionists, where I will instruct them to make things crystal clear just in-case patients like yourself, don't understand or are unaware of how we operate. I hope that brings you piece of mind for future potential patients you have tried to scare off.

Negative experience: Very poor. I was stuck in pouring rain and ten minutes late for a pre paid private appointment. When I tried to call they had shut 30 minutes early for lunch and had closed phone lines. very disappointed with the practice manager telling me I was making an excuse and she was entitled to a 1.5 hour lunch break. This also means that a scale and polish is a ten minute appt for 70£. I’m a doctor and always go out of my way to fit in patients when they are late.

I am sorry to read that you’re not happy with our practice, how we operate and our practice policy.

You informed us that you ‘didn’t want to take the wrong turning’ and you rung us at 12:41 (11 minutes after your scheduled appointment). Not at any point did you tell the practice manager you were stuck.

Our clinicians run on a strict timetable and if you don’t attend your appointment, private fees are taken for loss of clinical time.

You were aware of this as we include this on our reminder messages ‘You have paid for this appointment in advance and as per our practice policy, if you do not attend this appointment or do not give sufficient notice, the cost will be taken for loss of clinical time’.

You were not accused of making an excuse, it was just stated that other patients managed to attend their appointments while it was raining. Our practice is very local to you, so perhaps in future if you are attending an appointment, you should give yourself more time to get to the location especially if it’s raining.

Luckily our reception area is monitored by CCTV with audio, and I can confirm that not at any point did the practice manager say ‘I am entitled to a 1.5-hour lunch break’ as this is not the case.

Your appointment was booked for 30 minutes and was not attended, the dentist would not have spent 10 minutes cleaning your teeth.

If you called us before your appointment to let us know you was going to be late, we would have waited for you just like we would for all our other patients, but instead it wasn’t attended.

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with your future dental practice’s policies and procedures surrounding non-attendance, as all dental practices will have this in place.

Fantastic experience: Had a really nice experience today at Watford Dental Practice. I am always anxious to visit the dentist and I was on this occasion too. However from the moment I was called in I was made to feel relaxed. The dentist explained everything to me and made sure I understood what was going on. Fantastic experience: Visiting Watford Dental practice was a great experience for me and my sister, we travelled 2hours to been seen at this dentist and it did not disappoint. I was called in early for my appointment as I arrived early. To my delight the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I had a fantastic clean and check up and some brilliant advice was given. Positive experience: Horrible receptionist. I went there once, because I assume I got an infection that was given antibiotics, it became better after finished dose, but I could still feel pain left and now it's coming again. I booked an appointment with the same doctor, but it got CANCELLED by them. Now I feel horrible pain and I need immediate treatment, and of course they are not able to do that. But when I called and told them that for temporary I could go somewhere else because it is an emergency, the receptionist rudely told me that she is going to put me off the list from their patient. OKAY BYE!

I have investigated your record, and I can see that you attended your emergency appointment, and a dose of antibiotics were prescribed.

A follow up appointment was made for a week later so we could check the area. However, you did not attend this appointment. This was not cancelled by us. You did not attend it and clinical time was wasted by you.

When you phoned to rebook, the receptionist informed you that you are not registered with us and we are not obliged to see you again at our practice.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this Practice for over 20 years and have had the same Dentist all this time Mr Shah is fantastic always puts me at ease due to my health there has been times I’ve had to cancel at the last minute once the receptionist has spoken to Mr Shah who is very understanding a new appointment is made so I’m sure they don’t strike you off for medical reasons more like not turning up without an explanation I would always recommend this practice and of course Mr Shah

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Watford Dental Practice. I have seen most of the dentists here and they are all amazing and all go out of their way to make sure you get the best care possible. I would like to especially thank Aftab and Zara who have both recently done treatment on my teeth. You cannot tell that my teeth have been restored they all look completely natural and white. Aftab and Zara were able to fit me in quickly at fairly short notice so that I could start my ortho treatment. Thanks for always being amazing :)

Positive experience: Would highly recommend. They are proactive at reminding us about reviews and their booking process from reception, online forms and text reminders are very effective. Negative experience: Stepped in quickly when another dentist let me down. Fixed a missing filling quickly. Special mention for the nurse who really looked to get rid of those irritating bits that fall into your mouth - great job. My wife will love the TV on the wall in treatment room. Receptionist friendly and dentist informative. Unfortunately I left the practice shortly after as you would only give me two appointments over two days instead of one day.Unfortunately shortly after they wanted me to book two different days totally ridiculous when I work in London won't go back. Basically dreadful receptionist.

You stated that, ‘’Receptionist friendly’ to ‘Basically dreadful receptionist’.

In many cases when you require treatment, depending on what is involved, it cannot be completed in one single appointment, therefore patients usually return over a few appointments.
Perhaps you can find a dentist closer to home, so you won’t need to travel far.

Negative experience: This clinic is lying patients. We have registered a year ago, and when I needed to make an appoiment they said that they can find us in their data base, but we are not actualy registered. So , for a year I tought that we are fine, registered to a dental clinic and apparently we are not. I wouldn't recomment this clinic.

At the time, we were working through our back log due to the Covid-19 outbreak causing us to close until it was safe to re-open.

When we re-opened, we were prioritizing emergencies and any outstanding treatment that was postponed due to the outbreak. We were not accepting any new NHS patients at that time due to this and because we were at full capacity.

I have investigated your records and I can see when you registered, you were informed of this and we took your details simply to have you on our database as a new NHS patient, ready for when we are accepting more.

I appreciate this was many months back, and you may not remember. Luckily our receptionists log conversations.

Our reception team will continue to inform patients of our current circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Roshni, Alisha and Nikki have been nothing but amazing with the treatment of my wisdom tooth managed to give great advice to ease the pain while I await for it to be removed, all this while keeping the cost to a minimum. Negative experience: NHS patient? Not as wealthy as some? Then don't bother! I'd love to say it's due to COVID and the pressure they're under (near 2 years worth at that), but getting offered an appointment date/ time right up until the phrase 'NHS patient' is uttered and suddenly getting the appointment taken away from me is proof of the greed here. I've tried every month for about 1.5 years to be seen, but sorry we're not all able to splash insane amounts of money on dental care. Saying that, even if if I did it wouldn't be here.

I have investigated your records, and I can see that an appointment has never been made for you.

Your details were taken in October 2020 and you were informed that we are not taking on any new NHS patients at present– I am unsure how an appointment has been ‘taken away from you’, when no appointment was ever made.

Unfortunately, we are at full capacity for NHS, and we have limited spaces for private bookings. This is something that is out of our control.

Fantastic experience: The experience I had here today was fantastic! My appointment was with Zara and she is first class. As soon as I arrived I felt incredibly comfortable and like I was being looked after by a true professional. Zara’s knowledge, passion and interpersonal skills truly make her one of the best in her field. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this practice. It was my first choice when I moved to Watford as it came recommended from friends, and they have not let me down. I’ve been a patient for over 2 years and they have never failed to see me when needed. I recently had a crown fit, by Zara, who is an incredible dentist and a credit to the practice. NHS dental services are displayed online and if you’re exempt from these charges there would be no charge for any NHS treatment you require. Any treatment that your dentist believes is clinically necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health is available on the NHS.

The NHS will not provide cosmetic treatments. E.G such as teeth whitening, which you may want to make your teeth more attractive, but are not clinically necessary. A list of private treatment is displayed on our website.

I can assure you that we will only ask for payment when a service has been provided.

Fantastic experience: I wouldn't go anywhere else than seeing Zara at this dental practice. She and the team were very professional, I felt that I was in good hands. Zara was very gentle and kind to me, explaining what was going on. Having a phobia of dentists and not returning to one in over 10 years I will quite happily return to see her again and not avoid a visit for another decade

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting service but reading the reviews. Not surprised and I too am sure management will back up the receptionist CAROL behaviour. Who resulted too putting the phone down on me 3 times and was continually rude. Evidently they favour private clients, which is there prerogative it’s a business after all. But speak and treat people with respect answer queries and don’t put the phone down on them. And told to find a new surgery. All I’ve been trying to understand is what makes you a patient? I am registered at the surgery but told I cannot be seen as I am classed as NEW patient as I have only been to the surgery once. Yet with them for a year + Okay so what your criteria as Ididn’t sigh anything telling me my service will be effected if I don’t have regular problems. “So how many times do you have to come before you are classed as patient that is offered normal service” no answer. On top of all this the dentist Informed me. If have any further issues come back. And we will check if your teeth are moving. How am I advised to come back to a place that won’t see me because I am a new patient. Surely you have too actually see people to allow them move from this criteria of a new patient. Seems like a loophole. I’ve complained to the manger and NHS not so much about not being seen more about having the phone put down and be told I don’t need to Explain myself to people like you

Thank you for taking the time out to review our practice. We are very sorry for not being able to satisfy you on this occasion.

We would like to explain the actual situation so you can understand it better, since you never let our receptionist talk before you shouted over her on the phone forcing her to end the conversation. We are also expected to be respected and in order for us to keep it professional protecting our mental state from verbal abuse, we have no other option but to end the conversation implementing our Zero Tolerance Policy. We are providing the same information on daily bases to every patient who calls us without this kind of issue, however we were not able to provide this to yourself. Abuse and mistreatment of staff providing care is now becoming an increasing issue and we do understand how difficult it must be for those desperate to be given help, however this does not authorise anyone to victimise these staff for not being able to help right away!

We do believe that the NHS dentistry is at a very difficult time currently. We would like to firmly state that we are busy because we are seeing patients on the NHS and not sitting around watching TV or doing other irrelevant fun activities. If we say we do not have the capacity to see new patients currently for routine appointment we would expect to be understood, especially when we try to explain why that is along with our protocols of how new patients can book emergency appointments if needed.

When the dentist advises patients to come back in case of further problems, they are talking about the actual problem the patients have visited us with. If you haven’t had an issue for over a year, it is fair to believe that the problem now is a ‘new’ problem. Unfortunately since your last visit there has also been a WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC that resulted in delayed treatments and exceeded capacities, therefore our availability has clearly changed to the opposite of normal, of which we tried to inform you with no success. Pandemics can be hard to predict, therefore we apologise for not being cautious enough and have you sign a consent prior. We truly did not expect a pandemic to happen and cause unnecessary strain on our services. We will take this into consideration for improving our service in the future.

We would also like to bring it to the attention that the Dentist should not only be visited when there is a dental emergency or that there should be regular problems to see the Dentist, but there should be regular visits to prevent any issues arising! Regular patients are not classed as new patients.

The information regarding private treatments is part of our ‘information pack’ as a courtesy, letting patients know of the option, since we do have providers who are not contracted under the NHS and are still able to provide help if needed or treatment when asked. No patient is forced to accept this opportunity and in most cases this information is much appreciated or at least thanked.

According to our records you have not complained to the manger, however if you would like to discuss your comment in more detail please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly.

Negative experience: I called more than 24 hours before to let them know I had to cancel my appointment but because it wasn't within their 48 hour policy I was told I would be struck off the list. I explained to the receptionist I've had a family emergency and I can't get to the appointment and she didn't want to hear it. I was then told again you will be taken off the list if you cancel - absolutely no humanity at all. No sorry or apology. OK cool take me off the list - I don't want to give someone so rude my money anyways bye.

Negative experience: Called and said it was a 2 month wait for nhs patients. Extremely frustrating when dental practices deprioritise people they rely on the NHS for medical services just due to greed whilst having capacity for take in private patients. It’s just silly.

We understand it can be frustrating that our busy dental practice has a high volume of current patients as well as a long backlog with treatments waiting still to be completed from 2020, however we do try our best to accommodate everyone who is in need and has a dental emergency. Unfortunately due to the current infection control guidelines we are required to extend our appointment times as well as stagger appointments not only for the safety of our staff but of our patients too. We are committed to providing this safety and we are unable to overfill our availability.

For your information Private and NHS providers are different. We do have private only dentists/hygienists who are not contracted under the NHS therefore unable to offer NHS appointments, however as courtesy we do inform patients regarding this option (we do have private patients as well).

Fantastic experience: Definitely THE best dental practice l've ever been too! All staff are very warm, friendly and knowledgable, including receptionists and nurses. I've been seing Miss Zara Kaleem for couple of years now and cannot recommend her enough!! She did an amazing job saving my tooth. I really appreciated that I was informed about every step during my root canal treatment and that she made me feel relaxed during the procedure. I would also like to recommend Mrs Gek Choo Lim-Holmes who is very skilled and thorough hygienist. Don't hesitate to call for appointment.

Fantastic experience: Great Team and Dental Practice :-) I suffered from dentophobia since my childhood, but I no longer do. Amazing team helped me to overcome my fear. Fantastic experience: I recently removed my wisdom tooth (being referred by another practice) and I am more than pleased to say that even though I was kind of scared of the procedure, the doctor and his assistant made the whole experience lovely by removing any stress I had. They were 100% professional, starting from telling me the next step of each move to even completely remove small fragments of tooth being stuck. I felt no pain at all, it lasted for a short time, no side effects of the surgery plus the reception woman was so friendly. I would totally recommend this to anyone. Once again, thanks a lot.

Fantastic experience: Had to have retainers fitted and was seen by Dr Nicole. What is usually an unpleasant and quite invasive experience, went past in an instant. Fantastic experience: Over the past few months I have had several appointments and I have to begin by saying a huge personal vote of thanks to the Watford Dental Practice - as they are front line workers who deserve this acknowledgement and our appreciation. All the staff are professional, considerate and caring and I highly recommend them. The dentist environment is clean, modern and has a welcoming feel and patients are given advice on dentistry and this is all given in a constructive manner. We all know how difficult it has been since March 2020 and we all know that during lockdown many people have had problems with their teeth. I was amazed as to how easy it was to set up appointments to suit my working hours. Where as some people I know cannot access a dentist in their area. So I feel incredibly fortunate to have seen a dentist and a hygienist. Thank you to all the staff at Watford Dental Service for everything you do and for your dedication to our heath and well-being. Fantastic experience: Carole and Masie at reception are so friendly and welcoming. Nice to see a happy face as you walk into a dentist as it can be daunting knowing you are having treatment. Nicole has to be one of the nicest, caring, polite and patient dentist I have come across. I came in for a filling and she explained everything to me before starting and also during the procedure she was keeping me informed.
