Fantastic experience: My son has just finished his invisalign treatment with Jigna and it has been such a smooth process to get his teeth straight that I felt the need to write a review. Compared to my other children who had the regular metal tracks this was fantastic and much easier to manage. My son only had two appointments in total and managed the changing retainers himself on a weekly basis. No food getting stuck in braces and no emergency appointments for loose wires needed. Jigna also deserves a special mention as she calmly explained everything to my son. She is very gentle and careful and I cannot recommend Jigna highly enough as a dentist or for her invisalign treatment.

Negative experience: Having generally had positive experiences with the work that is done, I can't say the same with how they operate as a business. I was booked in for a checkup by the team, with zero consultation to me and they charged a deposit to a family member for the session (eventually refunded). I personally find this completely unacceptable and I hope that they don't do this to any customers in the future. However this behaviour has lost a life long patient.

Fantastic experience: I have problematic teeth and have had a number of dentists. Dr Joshi is one of the best. Most recently she has fitted two new front teeth (implants) . They are perfect, fitted with admirable attention to detail and as always, she explained her thinking and process throughout the procedure. I cannot recommend Dr Joshi enough!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Denmark Hill Smiles for some years now. I once had a problematic filling but that was resolved and I have to say I have never seen that particular dentist here again. Apart from that everything has always been excellent. I have had various fillings (and changed mercury fillings for white fillings), I also had to have an old implant removed which was done very skillfully. I regularly see the hygienist. Everyone is polite, friendly and helpful. The service is great and if ever I have had toothache they make time to see me straight away. I would highly recommend Denmark Hill Smiles to anyone looking for a dentist in South East London.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Dr Jigna Joshi for porcelain veneers and teeth whitening to fill gaps in smile from missing teeth. She suggested a more straightforward and cost effective option than a different dentist and her advice was correct, she did an incredible job and I can't recommend her enough. Communication throughout was spot on and I felt the treatment I received was first class. All the other staff at the practice were extremely welcoming and professional and made the whole experience very straightforward.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of having my teeth looked at and since Jigna has taken over, my nerves are somewhat better. She does not rush you and is very gentle and friendly. All the staff I have come across especially Lorraine, Marta, and Georgia are ever so welcoming easing my nerves. I travel 1.5 hours each way for this great service. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Denmark Hill Smiles for close to a year now and could not be happier with the staff and the dental care they provide. Over the past year I have been to them for routine check ups, fillings, Invisalign, whitening and hygienist appointments. The team at reception, Janet, Georgia and Lorraine, are always attentive, friendly and easy to chat with. Dr. Jigna provided excellent services and guided me through the Invisalign process answering all of my questions and kept me informed at every stage. The hygienist, Matia, was kind, professional and gave me a detailed care routine to follow which has worked wonders. A great team and a fantastic service, thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient here for years and I’m happy to say that Dr Jigna Joshi and hygienist Matia have helped improve my overall oral health! I’ve had various complexity treatments done by both, and they’ve all been of very high quality. All the staff are very polite and friendly. Highly recommend this practice for adults and children. Fantastic experience: I first visited Denmark Hill Smiles about a year before my wedding. I needed a wisdom tooth removed and also wanted to improve the appearance of my two front teeth which had broken several times. After the wisdom tooth extraction (which was very smooth and pain free) Dr Joshi came up with a plan for my two front teeth in time for my wedding. The process was amazing from start to finish - from teeth whitening to fitting veneers over my broken teeth. Dr Joshi and the team were so helpful and accommodating, and I am so happy with the results! A huge thank you to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Came for possible root canal — which was treated cautiously and in the end was resolved with less invasive treatment. Excellent communication, and use of photos / screen to indicate what is planned and why. Recommended!

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Denmark Smiles for approximately 3 years (just as pandemic finished) and am someone whose lifestyle has not treated my teeth or gums very well. This has always made me feel reticent and embarrassed about visiting dentists especially after bad experiences with other dental practices. The dental team here I cannot praise highly enough....the dental treatment including fillings, extraction, teeth cleaning/polishing, hygiene advice have all been exceptional and have resulted in much healthier teeth and gums and a happier me. This is great but most of all the professionalism and non-judgemental attitude of all the staff has made me feel so comfortable and made me keep to their advice and to always return to them. If you are someone who feels nervous or reticent about visiting the dentist, especially if you have not looked after your teeth I would urge you to make an appointment to help change this....Thank you to the whole team including Jigna, Matia, Lorraine, Giorgia and the wonderful receptionist/practice manager Janet.

Negative experience: My partner is on my workplace dental insurance which covers up to £65 for a hygienist appointment. She showed them this document and they made her go far beyond that by charging her £300 for 2 hour hygienist session, this could've easily been spread out over multiple sessions to stay within our insurance policy.
Our clinicians' responsibility is to do thorough checkups and plan the treatment that is necessary to become dentally fit. We give a written estimate to the patient of the cost and treatment in advance of the next appointment (unless it is an emergency treatment done on the same day).
Your partner showed us the insurance document after she has attended for the first of the two appointments that she booked online. She booked both appointments to attend on the same day. We are not in the position to advise patients how they would like to proceed with their insurance. Your partner should have checked with her insurance provider before booking her appointments as she knew already how much roughly it will cost her. When she showed us the document during her appointment, we asked her to check the details with her insurance as we don’t know how it exactly works.
We appreciate your concern but it is the patient’s responsibility to find out before knowingly booking a necessary treatment which may be expensive for them. Or at least, she could have asked us before she books the appointments.
We are not connected with an insurance provider. We simply provide an invoice for patients to claim back from their insurer. If the patient had definitely found out beforehand and sought our advice, we would have helped her in some way. It is unfair to blame us for something we are not responsible for.
In addition, an OPG X-ray was taken which is £40 and was not charged, we included that as a part of her treatment.
Fantastic experience: Moving away from London soon so regrettably I shall have to find a new dental practice elsewhere. It will be hard find anywhere as good as Denmark Hill Smiles who have provided me with excellent dental care.

Fantastic experience: Just finished an excellent session with this dentist. Another dentist in central London “identified” 4 fillings that needed to be done at a cost of over £800…. Decided to get a second opinion and visited this dentist, coming out very happy after being told that only one was needed. (Looks like the old one may have been trying to rip me off a tad). Fantastic experience: Klaudia Tombolis has been my dentist since 2008. She is so calm, friendly and very professional. She is indeed quite ethical about teeth care and will consider other options to preserve the tooth rather than recommending expensive options just for the sake of it. I am so confident in Klaudia's advice, than I take her recommendations without doubt. She does not push you into treatments and she's very honest about the best treatment plan for you. I saw Klaudia at Denmark Hill Smiles today. Its easy to get to on public transport and the staff are friendly.
