Negative experience: My father was referred here by NHS 111 due to severe tooth pain, swelling, and a broken tooth, but the dentist we saw showed no care, compassion, or professionalism whatsoever. From the start, she looked like she didn’t want to be there or help at all. She said things like “If I extract this tooth, I may not be able to do it” — and when I asked what would happen if she couldn’t, her response was “then he’ll have an infection and will need to go to another dentist.” How can any medical professional be comfortable leaving a patient in a worse condition? She injected him three times with weak anaesthetic that clearly didn’t work, as he could still feel everything. Instead of waiting for it to take full effect, she tried to extract the tooth after barely 5–10 minutes. When he said he was still in pain, she stopped and said “If your dad doesn’t like pain, he should go find another dentist.” The next day, my father went to The Grange Dental Surgery in Southwark, where the dentist gave him a stronger anaesthetic that numbed him properly within 15 minutes. The tooth was extracted smoothly, and even when he felt slight discomfort, the dentist paused, checked he was okay, and continued once he was comfortable — exactly how a real professional should behave. The team at The Grange Dental Surgery were shocked at how poorly he’d been treated here at the Waterloo Road dentist. This experience was distressing and completely unacceptable. If you or your loved ones are in pain and need urgent dental care, please go elsewhere.

Negative experience: If I could have given zero or negative reviews I would. I was suffering of fever and really painful erupting wisdom tooth. I understand that I needed to start my antibiotics right away but proper assessment would’ve helped. I was willing to do the xray even if it was hard for me just to see what was happening but the dentist was in a rush and have told me to just register to another dental practice to sort it out. I have asked the receptionist for an invoice as I need it for my insurance but couldn’t be bothered as well told me they’ll send it to my email. 2 days later still haven’t sent it. Had to call them and follow up and when I did they couldn’t even give me the name of the dentist. Honestly poor service

The dental doctor was amazing, she reassured me and did an amazing job and gave me personalised recommendations. 10/10

Negative experience: Im writing in regards to a very unpleasent situation i had to go through at the urgent dental clinic at 268 Waterloo Rd, London SE1 8RQ. I am heavily pregnant and being with a very bad toothache infection emergency line booked me an appointment with this clinic for 2 pm on the 16th of august. My bus was diverted and unfortantley i couldnt make it before 2 pm but i did my best to arrive there at 2:11 pm. When i arrived the resceptionist wouldnt take in consideration the bus diversion, neaither the fact that i am pregnant but told me straight away that i have to call again 111. I asked to please understand me as i am 8 months pregnant and going through so much pain and i arrived 1 min past the 10 min extra waiting time. The receptionist name is AZLAN. He said that i texted the dentist and dentist said he wouldnt see me. I asked for him to show me a proof that the dentist is denying for 1 min late. First he said i will show it to you and kept me waiting and after he said no he is not showing me. I said why are you lying to me. He start shouting saying that i was harrasing but he was not professional and very abrupt. He kept saying to my husband "if you are man enough make your wife to be quiet" . At the end he walked off and slammed the door terryfing me and made me cry. I am heavily pregnant and went through so much stress because of his behaviour. He terrified my toddler when slammed the door on us. This is unaccaptable costumer service, especially when someone is in pain and its 1 min late, heavily pregnant with a small child. I am very dissapointed at the service i got today. He had no right to slam the door and behave like a child instead of a professional. I hope action will be taken for this matter.

Negative experience: Called 111 as I was in unbearable pain and you could tell the main concern was getting me out as soon as possible, they took an x ray gave me antibiotics and said there’s nothing that can be done for the pain just wait 48 hours for the meds to kick in. The pain got dramatically worse over the next few hours I had to call 111 again and a new dentist in Croydon actually took time, removed the temp filling cleaned and drained the tooth and put a new filling on immediately relieving me of pain. It was clear one dentist cared(Croydon) and the dentist in Southwark just wanted to go home They don’t care about your health there

Negative experience: If the receptionist takes more accountability for your care than the actual trained dentist, is that who you want to pay to relieve your pain? After leaving work early & paying to get my swelling poked for 30 seconds then be sent away with a wrong prescription, it was only the receptionist, Dilay, who took any responsibility for the mistake & resolving it for me. Honestly, everything EXCEPT Dilay, was dreadful and I can only pray for no more dental emergencies that'd force me to deal with that dentist again.

Fantastic experience: Negative Feedback for Southwark Urgent Dental Care, 268 Waterloo Road, London SE1 8RQ I was referred to Southwark Urgent Dental Care by NHS 111. At first glance, everything seemed fine, the doctor prescribed antibiotics and carried out X-rays, twice. However, my experience with their customer service afterwards was very disappointing. I was strongly encouraged to leave a positive review, which felt inappropriate. Later, when I contacted them to request a copy of my X-rays (as I was dealing with an infection), I was told they were too busy. This turned out to be untrue; I called nearly 20 times and was told the doctor wasn"t available, all while I was waiting in A&E. Despite my repeated follow-ups, the X-rays were never sent to me. As a result, I had to undergo a third X-ray elsewhere, something that could have been avoided with proper communication and professionalism. I regret having left a positive review initially, which I did under pressure and a forced smile. I am now leaving this honest negative feedback to reflect the full extent of my experience. Their conduct was unprofessional and dismissive of my medical needs.

Negative experience: Wife made an urgent appointment here through 111 call and soon as she was seen they just said we have to refer her for teeth extraction and no date given since they don't have the facilities here and just handed a prescription for 5 days Antibiotics the man barely looked at her teeth. call this a urgent service it's pathetic waste of 27.90 imo should have just given it for free if there's barely an analysis.
