Negative experience: The staff are very rude and i regret ever signing the contract to get treatment with them. You have to wait ages to be seen and they rush appointments and charge you if you are late even though they are always late and rushed. Their business model is obviously about fitting as many customers as possible into the day and they are callous and uncaring when you say you have other obligations as well. I had to leave after waiting an hour for my appointment and no apology was given for my wasted time.

Fantastic experience: I became a new patient of Dr Lynsey Crothers this year and I needed a lot of dental work. I have found Lynsey to be an excellent dentist. She explained clearly the best course of treatment for me and has provided a pain-free experience. Lynsey’s friendly, calm, professionalism has contributed to me experiencing more relaxing visits. Her communication skills are excellent. I would highly recommend Dr Lynsey Crothers and Brighton Dental Surgery whose staff I’ve found are all kind, helpful and professional.

Negative experience: I was a new patient at Brighton Dental Clinic and want to share my experience as a warning to others — don’t be misled by the ratings as I was. I had a 9:10 appointment with the hygienist, but due to a delayed bus I arrived at 9:18. While still within my booked time slot, I was refused treatment. I even received a call at 9:15 while already on my way, and by the time I stepped into the clinic in person at 9:18, I was told the appointment was cancelled and was charged a £30 “failed to attend” fee. The explanation was that the hygienist sessions are only 20 minutes and fully booked back-to-back — something I was never informed of in advance. On my previous initial assessment appointment, however, I had to wait more than 20 minutes for the dentist, which shows that the clinic does not apply the same strict standards to themselves. A two-way understanding should be the norm in healthcare, but sadly it wasn’t here. The practice manager, Gemma Ellison, handled the situation with a rigid and unsympathetic tone. There was no attempt to find a middle ground, reschedule without a fee, or use the remaining time — just cancellation and a fee I was charged automatically. Even obtaining a receipt for this became unnecessarily difficult. The whole interaction felt cold, transactional, and focused on money rather than care. My first evaluation appointment also felt rushed and very rudimentary. Overall, the clinic gives the impression of being profit-driven rather than patient-centered, which is enough for me to discontinue this clinic which I first visited only 2 weeks ago. This complaint is not about the £30, but about the punitive attitude and lack of understanding for a very reasonable delay. Future patients should be aware of how this clinic operates before booking.

Negative experience: I had a root canal at this dental clinic 1 year ago I’m now finding out the canal treatment has failed due to them doing a bad job and uncleanliness. My new surgery had found bacteria that was not removed properly and now I’m forking out £900 for a new root treatment elsewhere I do not recommend this dentist at all

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Brighton Dental Clinic enough. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. I’ve always been self-conscious about a fake tooth at the front of my mouth, it was discoloured and never quite right. Lyndsey really listened to me, explained all the options clearly and worked within my budget. I honestly didn’t think I could ever love my smile, but now I do! Also, a huge thank you to hygienist Victoria, who was so kind and attentive during what could’ve been a very uncomfortable experience. All in all, an amazing team and a fantastic experience!

Positive experience: Generally happy with the dentistry and hygienist service but very difficult and frustrating to communicate with. You receive a text with a link to make an appointment but there is no facility to make an appointment when you follow the link. When you phone to make an appointment, you get a voicemail asking you to leave a voicemail, but the phone just disconnects after a few rings without the facility to actually leave a voicemail.

Fantastic experience: Booked in for a Appointment with Daniel he checked around my mouth/had a xray at this point I couldn't bare to see the state of my teeth on the xray. Even talking to people I couldn't make eye contact. with nerves going through me Daniel was very reassuring that everything will be okay and he can help me to bring my smile back I felt relieved/more relaxed. I then saw the hygienist Victoria who gave my teeth a VERY good clean/polish which took just under a hour, made sure I was okay Victoria was just amazing from the beginning to the end. When the session ended Victoria asked if I would like to see my teeth I said Yes I looked in the mirror for the first time in 2 years and I couldn't believe with how amazing they look I already feel so happy Both Daniel and Victoria have been great i couldn't thankyou enough for making my appointments more at ease all I can say is a massive thankyou to the dentist for being amazing and having patience I can't wait for the journey ahead to make them even better One very happy Woman.

I was a very nervous patient at first, but he is so gentle and patient. He's such a perfectionist that really cares about his patients. Even the receptionists there are lovely and friendly. I've been totally pain free for years now and no longer scared of the dentist!

Fantastic experience: Lynsey did an amazing job I am so happy with. From the first consultation, she made sense of an issue that other dentists and doctors had not been able to sort - leading to a successful investigation at the hospital to solve the underlying issue with ongoing treatment. She put together a great plan with Nick, for orthodontic work, that saw my teeth restored, they are now healthy and I love how they look. All the options along the way were explained the costs were clear and transparent allowing to to manage the costs. They even worked out a great timescale ahead of me relocating and booked all the appointments well in advance to ensure all the work was completed. I would recommend for anyone looking for a dentist or orthodontist.

Fantastic experience: I always have a positive experience here and have been a patient here for a long time. The staff here are always friendly and professional and it is always clean. However, there are steep steps to and from the entrance to the dental rooms and I am not aware of any lifts so this may be a problem for people with restricted movement or are in a wheelchair that are looking to come here. Otherwise I would highly recommend this dentist practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending this clinic now for almost 40 years and my son over 20 years. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. My dentist Lynsey is very kind and always makes me feel welcome, she even brought antibiotics to me during lockdown when I had a gum infection! Lucy on reception is really lovely and knows who I am straight away when I say my name over the phone. My hygienist Victoria is very caring and understands my condition thoroughly and offers advice and techniques to help it. All the staff are amazing and make my time at the dentist almost enjoyable

Negative experience: Highly overpriced, other clinics do the same for half the price

Fantastic experience: I have just completed a year of major restorative treatment to six top front teeth at the Brighton Dental Clinic, which required a year of wearing braces to correct my bite followed by extensive 'bonding' to restore the shape and size of the teeth. I was apprehensive about the braces, especially as I'm in my sixties however the orthodontist, Dr Nick Ferlias, was very reassuring and professional about the process which resulted in perfectly straight teeth with very little discomfort. The 'bonding' process was carried out by Dr Lynsey Crothers, involving restoration of my six top front teeth, which had become severely worn due to the previously misaligned bite. Lynsey is a very skilled perfectionist and after three and a half hours in the chair, each of the teeth had been individually restored perfectly both in shade and size. To say I am pleased with the outcome is an understatement - the bonding has been transformative. Thank you again.

Negative experience: We have been using this practice for years and unfortunately since the resident dentist changed we experienced less than optimal service. It can be quite daunting to get procedures done when the cost is high and there are multiple issues and both myself and my partner have been given treatment plans that were not thoroughly explained to us and when asked for further details the answer was evasive. For example "Is your diet full of sweets,sodas and so forth. Not at all. Right okay.... We can see otherwise." When a treatment plan is extensive and expensive vague and judgemental statements do not fill the patient with confidence that they will receive satisfactory treatment. Healthcare has an aspect of mental health that should be taken into account when treating patients.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient here for the past few years I have never felt more comfortable whilst being in the dentists chair , right from the receptionists , every visit to the hygienist and multiple visits with Ilias . I couldn’t recommend this place enough ! ✨

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. I just finished my teeth alignment correction with Dr Illias with an in-house aligner treatment. Not only is the pricing very competitive but the care I have received has been exceptional. Starting from the reception team to the dental hygienist I visited at the clinic, I have been very pleased with their efficiency and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: As a new customer who hasn't been in a very long while...it was horrible for me and I didn't even see a dentist..!! Arrived early to settle in and relax, maybe it was my mistake..? Two receptionists, one booked in and told to sit... all I could hear is eating and talking and listening to heart fm, which is awful waiting room radio..! Appointments came and went, and after 10 minutes after my booked appointment. I asked how long more to wait... they told me they had a emergency... I told now 3 of them I cannot wait more as I'm very uncomfortable waiting and I'd like to cancel.. they refunded..with no concern why. One looked at me in disgusted and said" I better tell the dentist" and brushed passed me. Just like to add, why didn't they tell me sorry for delays and I just found them to busy eating and talking to consider new customers, waiting area unpleasant. Receptionist rude. I will find somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I was never a huge fan of visiting the dentist but my experience at the Brighton dental clinic with Ilias was excellent! Having an extraction followed by multiple visits including scans impressions check ups and finally an implant was made all the better due to the reassurance and friendliness of Ilias and his staff, and finally the results which were perfect you’d have never have known that my tooth was an implant incredibly accurate and a perfect likeness! If you are needing implant work then you don’t get much better than the Brighton dental clinic!

I am normally scared of having to visit any dentist but this clinic showed me that everything can be done pain free and without having to feel anxious before your dentist appointment. Dr Illias achieved amazing result. I was not hoping my smile could be fixed so quickly and easily. Even tooth extraction was a question of few minutes completely without pain. From the start I knew I can put my trust in this clinic. Every recommended option for either whitening, straightening my teeth or even general dentistry was always personalised to suit my needs and being affordable at the same time. I have been so selfconcious about my toothgap for the past few years, and dentist Lynsey did a fab job of fixing this, that my smile is back!...my teeth are like they were in my twenties
