Harlow Dental Surgery

Fantastic experience: Great practice! I'm giving it 5 stars...they really deserved it ! I had my filling done last week, Tuesday with the ladies in room no2, they was absolutely amazing and very professional. A massive thank you for the work that they done it for me

Positive experience: Was really good at my appointment, especially as I get really anxious and due to Fibromyalgia I have a low pain tolerance. Downside there did seem to be a long wait for patients some even cancelling and leaving. Overall happy with the visit.

Negative experience: If I could leave no stars, I would.i woke up this morning with raging tonsillitis and rang to cancel my appointment with the hygienist, who has to be paid upfront. I was told that because it was less than 48 hours notice ( unless you’re psychic, you don’t know that you’re going to be ill within 48 hours) so they basically said ‘tough, you’ve lost your money’.i should have just kept the appointment and spread my germs around ( something that we know that’s wrong) but at least I wouldn’t have been £75 out of pocket, so I have been penalised for doing the right thing.. I’ve been at this surgery all my life and have never been treated so appallingly. They were rude, unhelpful and couldn’t have less bothered . ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL.

Negative experience: Completely unprofessional practice. Charged us extra money for Hygienest appointments even though we paid in advance the full amount. No explanation and no thought for their customers. They can't even staff their reception area so you have to rely on the nurses who are rushed off their feet. They also cancelled us from their practice because I had the audacity to complain. Very childish behaviour. One word sums them up, GREED. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I am so pleased I found this dentist. The staff here are lovely, there are always appointments available and the dental work is top quality. Special thanks to Dr Iffath Ahmed, she is polite, caring and brilliant at her job. I just had composite bonding on a tooth that barely had anything remaining and now the tooth looks like a normal tooth again. I’m so pleased! Thanks for giving me my confidence back.

Fantastic experience: Alex was so fantastic with my children. He tailored his approach to both of them individually and my son who was really nervous beforehand left asking me whether we could go back tomorrow he was brilliant, thank you.

Fantastic experience: No one likes going to the dentist but the dentists and their wonderful team at the front office make it the best experience they can, thank you. An update, my tooth broke just before going on holiday, the reception team were great in arranging an appointment at short notice and thank you Nina for fixing it. Really appreciate the great service.

Fantastic experience: I had an issue with a fallen interdental filling and wasn’t sure what to do. I reached out to BIANCA, and she responded quickly with a form to fill out, got me booked in right away—everything was super smooth and efficient! She was incredibly kind and professional, and the whole procedure was quick and painless. I didn’t even need anaesthesia! Absolutely fantastic experience, and I’m really happy with the care I received. All staff was professional and nice Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Myself and my family were added as NHS patients within a few weeks of contacting them. The experience from start to finish has been brilliant! Friendly and helpful receptionist, seen on time for appointment. Absolutely lovely dentist who was very kind and considerate and fantastic with my toddler on her first visit to a dentist. Thoroughly recommend!

Negative experience: No one answers the phone they just let it go to voicemail every time I have called. Update: missed my appointment called that same day no one would answer the phone. Called the next day several times before anyone answered and was told I had been kicked out of the surgery. Been a member of this dentist for 20+ years miss an appointment and now I'm no longer welcome there. Appalling way to treat long term patients/customers.

Fantastic experience: I am writing to commend the receptionist Mihaela Postolache and other Lady at Harlow Dental Surgery for their exceptional service. They have been incredibly helpful in scheduling my appointments, always accommodating my requests and ensuring I can see the dentist when it's convenient for me. I especially appreciate their kind and friendly demeanor. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel welcome during my dental visits.

Fantastic experience: The dentist, Dr. Ahmed, is absolutely wonderful. She's so friendly & kind & skilled & makes me feel at ease. I trust her, which says a lot as I am a nervous patient with complex health conditions. The receptionists are are always lovely with me as my teeth do cause me distress & pain & I can get quite upset, which must be hard to listen to. I know that there are some people who can't get NHS dental appointments & I don't know how I'd cope in their shoes.

Fantastic experience: I had such a good experience at Harlow dental surgery. It was my first visit back to the dentist after a while and I was a little apprehensive as to how it would go. Dr Lalithambika Valliyil was so comforting and informative. She answered all my questions and gave me great oral hygiene tips. The reception staff were also very helpful and kind, both in person and on the phone. If you’re in the Harlow area looking for a dentist, I highly recommend this surgery.

Couldn’t recommend the surgery enough especially for those who are nervous, you’re welcomed by the sweetest receptionist who talks you through the entire visit. Wait times aren’t bad either.

Fantastic experience: After an initial difference of opinion, regarding the surgery's policy on patient removal, the team at Harlow Dental Surgery provided great service in order to resolve the situation and provide minimal delay for me seeing a dentist for emergency treatment. A special mention goes out to Mihaela, who displayed empathy, while being very clear on how they can assist, during what was a very distressing time for me.

Fantastic experience: Arrived 5mins before appointment reception staff as always very cheerful, hygienist was ready for me at exactly 12 which was my appointment time. Very thorough and a really lovely lady who makes you feel really good about yourself. Overall going to this dentist is not a trial or scary like some which for me is actually the most important thing.

Fantastic experience: Hygenist that I saw was fantastic and very gentle to my sensitive teeth. I'll definitely be booking to use her again. I have attended all my appointments whether it's routine or hygiene appointments. However for regular patient like me, I found it very difficult to book my hygenist appointment in advance as you require full payment upfront when booking. This is due in part to my health insurance not accepting any payment made outside of 3 months from the actual appointment. Is it not possible for regulars like myself to book appointments in advance and pay on the day?

Negative experience: If you don't ask questions about your care, then you'll be fine. Refused to answer why NHS patients can only be seen at certain hours, seems there are discriminatory policies in place based on how much you pay!

Fantastic experience: As a really nervous patient I was dreading my appointment today but I saw Dr Alex who was absolutely lovely, he explained everything he was doing and was constantly asking if I was OK, the dental nurse working with him was absolutely lovely too and really understanding of a nervous patient. I have now booked in for my 6 month check and I do not fear going. Thank you for putting me at ease and making my experience calm.

Fantastic experience: Staff are always friendly and helpful particularly if you require an appointment for emergency treatment. My family members and I have been coming to surgery since the 1960's and have always had good service.
