Fantastic experience: After my son had a terrible accident and lost part of his front tooth, we were understandably very upset. Dr Babuta was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. She went above and beyond to fit him in quickly, knowing how uncomfortable and self-conscious he felt about the way his tooth looked. She was kind, reassuring, and incredibly professional. The work she did was amazing, you would genuinely never know he has a crown. It looks so natural and has completely restored his smile (and his confidence!). We’re so grateful for the care she showed and the fantastic result she achieved. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr Babuta to all our family and friends.
Fantastic experience: I was sent to Pure Smile Reading from a sister branch due to a nightmare of inadequate treatments. This branch has restored my confidence. I can not speak more highly of Imran. Very kind and professional. He thoroughly explained my treatment in a way in which i could understand and felt very relaxed and reassured throughout my 3 stage root canal treatment with him. Cannot thank him and his team enough for the brilliant work they have carried out. Would definitely recommend
Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit. The receptionist repeatedly asked for my name over the phone, and when I raised my voice slightly so she could hear me better, she began shouting at me not to shout — which was unnecessary and unpleasant. When I arrived, the dentist appeared uninterested in helping and showed little empathy, even though I was in severe pain from an infected wisdom tooth. Despite already being on antibiotics for three days, I was told to continue for another five before they would even consider a referral. The dentist repeatedly suggested going private for an extraction instead. As someone who works within the NHS myself, I understand system pressures, but I still expected a more caring and professional approach. Overall, I left feeling dismissed and disappointed.
Positive experience: It's ok, handy being in town. It dose have a lower floor and stairs, Bit of a pain for me but in general it's a dentist, not a fun thing - a necessity. So glad it's there when you realy need it.
Negative experience: Today 29 sep 25. It was a terrible service attitude from the receptionist. In my particular case, the one who seems Asian or Chinese has an attitude that seems discriminatory with some, she is kind to others, acting as if she were superior. What ignorance! So with that bad attitude, she told me to sign a paper and I told her, "I heard you the first time, since I was busy with my crying toddler." I said, "Wait, in fact, you ignore people and are rude." And the Chinese or Asian woman started yelling at me when she has been like this. Then the other receptionist got up and came to me saying that I should be the one to stop yelling and that if I have a problem, I should write the manager an email. What? Any way, an email that you can't find on the website and they don't give you, and of course you don't know recepnists names as they dont use badges. If this is the face of the business, I would tell you that it stinks. You better find another dentist where they respect you, are neutral, kind, and have a better service attitude. However, I must say that these receptionists were simply unprofessional, if they have any technical expertise at all. The dental service was excellent; in my case, very friendly, professional, and diligent.
Fantastic experience: My dentist Imran Quasem is great. He’s very reassuring as I’m a nervous patient and my old dentist has retired(only had one dentist since childhood) I’m happy with the service quick and efficient but you are listened to at the same time
Fantastic experience: Visited Puresmile in Reading Town Centre after it was recommended. It was the most pleasing dentist visit I have had. The reception staff is friendly. The wait times were like in other dentists in the area. The dentist I saw, Dr Babuta, was so friendly. She explained the procedures in detail, every step of the way. Although visits to the dentists aren't something to look forward to, I have already booked my next dental appointment :)

Negative experience: Pure smile receptionist needs to be spoken to. I have been visiting them for a couple of hours until I moved out of Reading 2022. I have been treated rudely by this specific lady every time I needed to visit the dentist and if anyone has visited this practice you all know who I am talking about. She definitely needs to find another job as being a receptionist is definitely not what she enjoys nor what she has signed up for. Well may be when she first joined the dental practice, things were different. It feels like the management are just unable to take any actions against her as the way she treats the patients is unacceptable and intimidating. I am sure there are plenty of complaints against her as I gather from the reviews here. Other staff are ok though not pleasant nor rude just average! Can’t complain about them but the receptionist needs to calm down. It’s really stressful to go to that practice wondering is the same lady going to be there, also very scared to call always praying I hope it’s not her today. Avoid at all costs if you can afford to. Too hard to control your emotions, not good for you mentally if you are anxious like me.
Fantastic experience: Super-fantastic service - couldn't believe how quickly I was able to see Shiraz for an emergency appointment.vAnd even more amazing was how quickly a second appointment was made with Ayaaz to make the required extractions in such a relaxed and yet, at all times, professional atmosphere. Negative experience: If possible I would give 0 stars. Couple of months ago had a filling done by a female dentist, and the experience was frustrating, to say the least. She told me I needed two fillings, even though only one tooth had pain beforehand. After the procedure, my teeth were in worse condition than before. They became extremely sensitive, even opening my mouth felt uncomfortable because of the air, and eating or drinking was unbearable. To make matters worse, she didn’t shape my teeth properly after the filling, which made the sensitivity even worse. I also started grinding my teeth, something that had never happened to me before. Throughout the appointments, I noticed she would take long, frustrated breaths in front of me, which made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable. I don’t understand why she would behave this way in front of a patient. It was clear she was rushing through the process, and despite my concerns, I had to go back three times. Only on the third visit did she manage to somewhat fix the issue, but my teeth still weren’t the same as before. Chewing was still very sensitive, and she even dismissed visible black cavities, claiming they didn’t need cleaning, which made no sense to me. Thankfully, I decided to go to another dental and see another dentist, and it was the best decision I could have made. They addressed all my problems in just one visit, and now my teeth feel so much better.

Negative experience: I hope I can give it a 0 star. I have tooth pain and seek advice here and the doctor asked me to leave before he found the cause and told me he can't do anything until things get worse. He even refused to use the x-ray scan for the potential causes. what a joke.
Fantastic experience: I have been attending Puresmile Reading for over 8 years as a patient of Dr Imam Quasem. I have always received excellent treatment from both Dr Quasem and staff who are polite and helpful and I couldn't wish for a better service. Dr Qausem is a professional to his fingertips and I feel totally confident, when I am attending an appointment, that he has my best interests at heart.
Negative experience: Good for emergency’s like tooth infections. But not good for aesthetics/ fillings. They do a shoddy job at that and don’t follow nhs guidelines with 12 month guarantees for fillings if they fall out shortly after the fitting. I went privately and realised how bad pure smiles is.

Negative experience: Never have I met people as rude as these. Took my nan there for her appointment and from the very beginning they were rude. I got called into the room because my nan couldn’t remember the medication she takes as she has dementia, the dentist then said she tells me she suffers from “a little bit” of dementia. He didn’t like the fact she couldn’t remember certain things, he also said he gave her 3 fillings but my nan swears blind he done nothing. When it came to paying the receptionist were just rude and unpleasant. My nan has been going there for 20 years and she said it’s the worst experience she’s ever had.
Fantastic experience: A great friendly Dental practice where, following a mountain bike accident, I had 4 dental implants fitted. Have always been and continue to be a great professional and friendly dental practice which I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend.
Negative experience: I’ve moved around a lot in my life and been to a few dentists in my time but this is hands down the worst one. Dentists do not care about patients and receptionists treat it like a social club. Their lift is always broken so when you are disabled they ask the dentist to move upstairs to accommodate this, but walking up the stairs he acted like was asked to run a marathon. Horrible service
Negative experience: Incompetent & rude reception staff. I couldn’t cancel my appointment in time because they hardly ever answer the phone. Therefore I was taken off the patient register. The dentists there are below average. Whenever they have cleaned my teeth they have been very rough and painful. I need a mouth guard at night for teeth grinding and they made me wear two (which is unadvised and made my teeth move) because they didn’t want to make a hard shell one. I think it’s because I’m an NHS patient. Avoid at all costs
Negative experience: Neither me or my wife will be returning to PureSmiles. I was told that i needed £3500 invisalign treatment due to grinding my teeth, which I was sceptical about since I've never had any issues. Use of pressure sale tactics made it sound like it couldn't wait as I'd asked whether it could be something to look at in say a year's time. Went to get a second opinion from a private dentists two weeks later and I have no issues with teeth grinding. Furthermore, they found an obvious cavity in my wife's tooth that was missed in both our routine checkup and a hygienist appointment only two weeks prior. Very doubtful that a cavity visible to the naked eye would just appear from nothing in that length of time. Disgusted by the mis-selling and negligence. Recommend avoiding and going somewhere else.
Positive experience: I've had my dentistry done as an NHS patient for nearly ten years now. I receive nothing but politeness and helpfulness when I go l. They for instance numb my gums when they deep clean my teeth because I feel too much pain otherwise. My only chritism is that I sometimes but not always have to wait a rather long time for the phone to be answered.
Negative experience: My son was taken off the patient list as he had failure to attend his last appt even though we did turn up but she insisted he go in alone as I didn't have a mask. I said there's no restrictions so I didn't bring one and when asked she wouldn't give me one to escort him in. The only way I can get decision over turned is by emailing manager. They never answer the phone and are shut for lunch meaning you have to miss work too.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience ever got to my appointment 5/10 minutes early as I hate being late. I waited 25 mins then asked what’s happening the lady at the desk told me my appointment was at a later time I said that’s a mistake she then said it was delayed so it had to be moved I waited 45 mins before I was called my dentist then said we was early I told her the encounter and she said she was only running 10 mins behind. This is appalling. The receptionist don’t do anything but have a chin wag, eat or being on their phones which is very unprofessional. Some training needs to be done especially if you are front of house.

Negative experience: Horrendous service!! Wait over 30 minutes on hold and when you finally get answered by reception they hang up on you. They don't even reply to emails!! AVOID! The owner must either be too busy to care or not bothered about providing good customer service.
Negative experience: Excellent Dentist and great service, this is what I said 4 years back. Not sure what is happening at this clinic, the reception and practice managers all seem to be keen in getting rid of the long standing customers. I was promised a courtesy teeth cleaning as they messed up my appointment long time back. When the dentist cleaned my teeth and I tried availing the complimentary cleaning I was told that it will only be free with a hygienist. Now tried booking complimentary hygienist that I was owed, i’m told that I have taken too long to avail it so no more available. Wife went to see the dentist for regular checks, her regular dentist was not available so she got her checkup done with another, now it seems she has to wait for 2 months to go back to her regular dentist for filling that is needed. Son tried changing his dentist as his regular dentist is only available 2 days a week, apparently reception cannot do that and practice manager is needed for it. Please get a grip!!
Negative experience: Zero stars if possible for the receptionist that dealt with my query... When it came to paying for my treatment, I had a query to ask regarding the bands of treatment. She was so unbelievably rude to me, didn't allow me to speak and rang the dentist basically implying that I was refusing to pay, when I was merely asking a question regarding pricing so that I could understand. Perhaps some additional training in customer service would be beneficial, especially when I'm being so polite myself! A trip to the dentist is feared by many anyway and when being spoken to in such a bad manner by the receptionist, it certainly doesn't make the experience any more comfortable. The dentist however was fantastic and I can not fault her service!

Negative experience: Very poor service. Their 6 months regular checkup of kids is a time-waste and they repeatedly missed to identify some key issues which are captured by private dentists. The appointments get cancelled frequently and after almost 3 years or poor service, I decided to move out. No wonder why they have a place available always to register new patients as patients keep moving out due to bad service.
Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and very professional from the moment you walk in and throughout your appointment. I higly recommend this place , because of Bhavika my dentist .She is very friendly , understanding , always ready to help the patient .She is always nice , with a smile on her face .I dont want to change my dentist anymore , i found the right one.She is the best dentist i've ever known .

Negative experience: I am new to NHS system and was not aware how dental appointments work in this country, the black lady in reception was extremely rude and shouted at me because I asked a question about the separate amounts that I paid for and she wanted me just to pay the fee and not to ask any questions! She also yelled at me front of people showed attitude and walked away because I found her very rude and started to speak with the other receptionist about my next appointment! Very unprofessional, inhuman, would not recommend at all! Their priority is to having fun together and finding clients interrupting them! I felt like just pay the money and shut your mouth!
Positive experience: After reading some of the recent negative reviews, I felt somewhat compelled to share an honest opinion based on my years of experience with Pure Smile. It's worth noting that Pure Smile, for better or worse, accepts NHS patients, a rare offering that's becoming increasingly scarce, especially in Reading. Having utilized both private and NHS dental services over the years, I've found Pure Smile to be a fairly good service. While there is room for improvement, as is the case with many things in life that struggle to meet high standards, especially in the wake of significant events like the pandemic, it's important to acknowledge the challenges. It's evident from the Google reviews that there's a certain level of unrealistic entitlement and impatience that has become somewhat of a societal norm. We often forget that the staff at the front desk have their own challenges as they, like everyone else, navigate this so-called "new normal." We can all fall foul to those bad days! In conclusion, I would confidently recommend Pure Smile. Constructively, there is an opportunity for enhancement in customer engagement, a facet that they seem to be aware of and hopefully working on.

Fantastic experience: I turned up for a NHS dental check with a missing filling and the dentist decided to replace it there and then as otherwise I would have had to wait until November. My dentist had a can do attitude, rather than just placing me on a list she was prepared to get the job done done.

Negative experience: Bad receptionists, very rude! I think her name is Amy ( dark skin) Does not know how to deal with clients! Even when they set appointments! Suddenly the dentist postponed several time! I need the manager to contact me !
Negative experience: I really wasn't sure about about this practice given the reviews but I thought I would give it a try. My experience was a successful way to completely waste my time, my money and my calm. They are rude, uninterested and incapable. They booked my appointment, charged me £30 to secure it and when I show up for it surprise. No appointment, no record, anything. They can't refund me because they can't see it in their system even when I present the receipt. I don't even have the words to articulate the magnitute of their egregious behaviour. If you value your oral health, your time and your money avoid this failure of a practice completely.

Negative experience: TL;DR: Extremely unprofessional. They don't care about their patients' Dental health but ensure a steady income by having a scheme where their patients must go there. If not, they get penalised by losing money. Lond Version: I am generally very nervous around Dentists. When I entered one of the surgery rooms, I was asked by the Doctor when was the last time I had been to a Dentist. What came next to my answer was an unexpected, very long, condescending lecture about the frequency I should go to the Dentist. I was baffled by the intensity of that speech, not pleasant, not professional, and it did not help my state of mind. We then proceeded to do an assessment. According to the Doctor, there were several tasks, and he asked which I'd like to do first. Being ignorant of Dental treatments, I asked the Doctor which tasks should be prioritised. He replied that gum disease should take priority. To my surprise, when we started the treatment, he focussed, and I quote him, on a "small cavity", and then he sent me away... (Yes, I was perplexed as to why the priority had now shifted to the "small cavity") Unfortunately, this was not the end of my negative experience in this practice. Upon arriving at the reception, I was told I needed to pay £30 as a deposit for the next appointment. I was unwilling to pay, but I didn't want to go to another practice and do another assessment. So I paid. The day of the second appointment came, and I could not go because my partner had gone through an emergency C-section. I called the practice requesting to change the appointment, and they replied that I would lose the £30 because I notified them in under 24 hours. I asked them for understanding because I could not warm them more than 24 hours before (After all, this was a scenario that no one could predict in advance). The receptionist replied, and I quote: "If you have a problem, write an email to the "Practice Manager", and then she proceeded to hang up my call without providing details on how to contact the Practice Manager. I did use the general Email address to write to them. I'm still awaiting their reply (email sent on the 13th of June)...

Fantastic experience: For both routine and emergency treatment all the staff are amazing. Reception team were 11/10 (during Covid) when I needed to see a dentist for an emergency.
Negative experience: I had registered with this dental practice in though they will actually help me. When I arrived receptionist lady were excellent (5 starts for them) then I’ve been called by dentist inside the room,he(unfortunately I don’t know them name) did not even say hello,he did not even introduced himself.i was sat on the chair,he asked me couple of questions about my teeth history (and at the same time he was interrupted by his colleagues sorting the case of other patient which is not professional at all as I had just 15 minutes slot with him,which also isn’t the best time either) he looked at them,gave me 2 options and wanted me to decide straight away what to do. He did not change his gloves between touching the computer and coming to me,this is very bad hygiene habit as mouth is very delicate part. I’m definitely never Gonna be back,as did not felt comfortable and was rushed while Being there.

Negative experience: Absolutely inhuman service. I was left by doctor to suffer from pain and swollen tooth area for days. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat and drink. Antibiotics and painkillers don’t help. When I mention this to the receptionist, the only advice I got in return is to wait until my official doctor will be back from her holiday. I called to Dental Triage Emergency and they said that my registered Dental practice (wich is Pure Smile) should organise an emergency appointment for me according to my condition. But all what Pure Smile has organised for me is just constant ignorance of any of my requests. Extremely cruel and inhumane service.
Negative experience: Very poor service from reception desk. no response to query emails sent, their systems are always down and also for appointments you have to wait too long on call hold. Once i attempted calling from outside the clinic and the phones where ringing but the staff where having a laugh inside. Was also surprised to hear on recent visit that we had an outstanding payment which after interrogating they had no clue for what.
Negative experience: Extremely poor!! Tried to re book an appointment I missed to be told that it no longer registered! Was fine for them to cancel multiple appointments but when missed a couple they took me off there system, they've also left me with a toothache and no advice!!
Negative experience: Often was cancelled when had an appointment. Then during Covid they stopped sending reminders for appointments. Missed a couple. They are only interested in scooping in the private bucks. The surgery manager could not even be bothered to reply to my email. Customer service is minimal.
Negative experience: Awful, rude, reluctant staff at the reception. A big, short hair, reception staff was extremely rude to a customer who was desperate to go to the toilet after the clinic appointment. She was asked to make her way out of the clinic. It was awful to see her how she was treated. The clinic has no toilet facility and its at the main town center with no parking. Anyone planning to visit there risk it.. Good luck..

Fantastic experience: Went in for a routine check up with my son. We saw Muhammed who was very thorough and informative and made us feel at ease. Then we were greeted by the manager Tina when booking follow up appointments. She was incredibly nice and friendly. As far as dentists go... it was a very, very good visit!

Negative experience: Awful and rude customer service. Phoned twice regarding emergency appointments for my self and both times the receptionist was flippant. She was so rude and didn’t want to help. Didn’t give me chance to explain myself. She was talking back to me when I was trying to talk. It’s either her way or no way. You can tell a lot about the inner working of a business by how they treat people in need and this place scores 0 in those stakes. Train your receptionists on customer service. I had to call 111 and get an emergency appointment through another wonderful dental surgery and there customer service was excellent and that made me realise how poorly puresmile dental had treated me over the years!! I will never come back to you ever again.
Negative experience: Ridiculous! Cancelling your appointment with 1hour and half before and rebooking after weeks. Customer service it’s awful.

Also attended an appointment once to be told it was cancelled, no text or phone call to let me know. The dentist himself that my son sees is lovely but the receptionists i spoke to, not at all.
Negative experience: Very poor experience, I had emergency appointment this morning with Dr Ramas. And again disappointment. I have been charged for advice instead the treatment. I've been told to book appointment. Which next is available in September.
Fantastic experience: I attend the Puresmile clinic for dental and hygienist appointments and the service is friendly and professional. I have had several treatments at a fair price.

I would like to thank every one in the practice for looking after me very well, specially Mr Mohammed who has been so committed in ensuring that my teeth remains healthy. Negative experience: Im a medical professional myself as i can say this place is not run professionally. During covid i booked a routine check up and was not told that such patients are not being seen. Instead i know through friends and family they are phoning up all these patients and automatically cancelling them. I did my due diligence phoned up the practice to find that apparently my appointment had been cancelled without even being infomed. I had already taken time out of work and made travel arrangements. So after giving a justified clinical reason why i do need a check up, i was rebooked with another dentist for the same appointment. Suddenly two hours later a cancellation text message appears. I phone up and apparently there is no such appointment existing and i need a telephone triage to re-book. Is this a circus or a professionally run business? Curious to understand is it because NHS patients aren't profitable that such appointments are being cancelled automatically without even enquiring with the patient first the reason for the booking in? If so, deep questions about ethical practices.

Fantastic experience: I have been with pure smile for a while now, I had adult braces and the staff have been fantastic throughout! I never used to smile in photographs due to my insecurities.... Mohamed and the team made this change! Always there to help and advise...I even told my sister to change to pure smile when she said she was unhappy with her dentist now she and her 3 children use them and is so happy with the service they provide if I could give more stars I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: Can't give 0. Otherwise I would have given infinite negative number. I was on my routine dental check up and it was with Dr.Imran but I was seen by Dr. SAYAL. I asked him to scale and polish the built up plaque as that will be covered by NHS band 1, but he said some dentists do that but I can't do that.... I asked him the treatment that covers in NHS band1 but he didn't do that. Anyhow I am going to rise a written complaint both to the NHS and dental practice manager.

Fantastic experience: Yes, Puresmile, Reading. They reception booked me in for a check up and dental hygienist on the same day. This was superb as it meant only taking one morning off of work. The hygienist Veronica did a wonderful job cleaning and polishing my gnashers. It transpired that the other dentist I’d a few year previously had advised me incorrectly to use mouthwash. Veronica told me that mouthwash stains teeth, something I never knew. So top marks to her for that and indeed to everybody there for a good, efficient and pleasant visit. P.S.
