Fantastic experience: I phoned this facility in excruciating pain, the lady on the phone was so empathetic and tried to squeeze me in at my convenience. The dentist himself, his nurse, and the nurse at reception all had a friendly vibe, with the ability to obtain small talk whilst keeping professional. They tried their best to give me the most affordable & fast treatment, yet still discussing all the different options to allow me to choose for myself whilst taking their guidance. Fantastic experience: Plymouth Smile Care Cosmetics Centre has excellent dentist professionals with their highest quality skills & care for their patients from start to finish. Myself and my family are getting regular treatments there on several occasions and always getting the best results in dental work regardless how minor or major the issue is. I have recently had implant work done and am very pleased with the end result of a perfect crown. This has been done in a friendly, reassuring manner as I was slightly nervous, but the implantologist made me feel at ease. He is definitely a very skilled dentist who knows what’s he’s doing. I would highly recommend to use this Centre as your dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but praise and gratitude for this dental surgery, especially lovely receptionist Kate and the amazing dentists Rafal and Jose. I was absolutely terrified of going to the dentist due to some very traumatic experiences when I was younger. As a result I had barely been to the dentist in the last 20+years and needed a lot of work. The first couple of times I went I started panicking and crying as soon as I sat down, but Rafal was so kind and calm and made me feel very at ease. A month later I was able to have two wisdom teeth out in the same appointment, no tears, then drive myself home smiling (albeit wonkily). Rafal has also done absolutely magic composite bonding on my front teeth which has been life changing as I can now smile with confidence. Unfortunately I needed an emergency root canal, but which Jose performed after kindly fitting me in for an emergency appointment. I had to go back a couple times as I had very narrow wonky roots, which reassured me that Jose was doing a thorough job. Unbelievably, the whole procedure was absolutely pain free, including the anaesthetic injections, due to a special magic wand device. I felt safe and relaxed the whole time I was in the chair. I honestly can't recommend this dentist practice enough - thank you!

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely terrified of the dentist but Jose is incredible. Both Jose and the nurses have been so gentle and patient with me whenever I have been in the chair freaking out! Lucy the hygienist is also very lovely and welcoming. I live with a condition called POTS and it is very hard to find healthcare professionals who have an understanding for that but this practice has made me feel very looked after! Thank you to the whole team who work so hard to provide such amazing care :)

He explained my options for the work I needed and gave me the information and time to think and decide without rushing. Once the decision was made we made the appointments and the work commenced. During my treatment, he asked me if I wanted to know what he was doing and talked me through it step by step. The outcome is I can smile and eat with confidence! Fantastic experience: I am not a fan of the dentist. It is definitely not a favourite activity of mine! However, my experience with Smilcare, Dr. Jose, and his team was excellent. All the nurses were lovely and supportive, patient and kind. When I told them how much I disliked the dentist, they were very understanding, and Jose did a great job on my teeth. They checked in with me when I was in the chair and gave me breaks when needed. They were also accommodating with appointments due to my self-employment and kept me informed and updated on any changes. The environment is also very calm and inviting, which helps with my nerves and fears about dental treatment. It was an excellent experience, and I would definitely recommend Smile Care if you are looking for a dentist!

Fantastic experience: I had severe dental pain and smile care got me in for an emergency appointment on the same day which was amazing. I saw Rafal who completely put me at ease with a very kind and professional manner, explaining everything and talking me through the x-ray and treatment options step by step. I opted to get the tooth extracted and this was done swiftly despite it being a back molar tooth and I felt that I was in safe hands throughout. The aftercare steps were explained to me thoroughly and Rafal and the team made me feel calm and at ease during what could have been an anxious and unpleasant experience. The practice itself has a lovely feel to it and it is clear that the employees enjoy working there and really care about their patients. Would definitely recommend and it’s great to not be in pain anymore!

Negative experience: I was charged a hefty £100 for cancelling an appointment with less than 48-hour notice. While I understand the policy, I believe there should be consideration for unforeseeable emergencies. It's unrealistic to expect someone to predict sudden, urgent family matters. This rigid approach lacks compassion and flexibility, which is disappointing. I hope in the future, they can accommodate such situations more empathetically.
