Positive experience: I have been coming to AF dental for a year now & i am pleased & comfortable with their professionalism & friendly approach. Wednesday 21st i had an extraction (first time ever)! I have never liked dentists since i was a child but being under the care of Dr M Rahman i feel good as he makes me as the patient at ease & comfortable. My procedure took 1 hr & 25 mins & it was helpful that he explained what would occur. My recovery process has been great & i am getting back to myself with a little bit of soreness in my jaw and face puffed up a bit. Dr Rahman is approachable, knowledgeable, friendly & professional. Thank you !

She was gentle with my cleaning and really listened to my concerns and gave me great tips. However, AF Dental made me feel at ease. The team was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding and even had a good laugh with me throughout my treatment. I recently had three fillings done, and the experience was completely pain-free. The dentist took the time to explain everything, making sure I was comfortable throughout. Their approach and professionalism have completely changed the way I feel about dental visits. If you’re anxious about seeing a dentist, this is the place to go! Negative experience: I completely lost trust in this clinic. They recommended thousands of pounds worth of unnecessary work that would have ruined a perfectly healthy tooth! Thankfully, I sought a second opinion at a different clinic and had an MRT done, which confirmed there was nothing wrong. I strongly advise against taking their recommendations at face value—always get a second opinion.

Negative experience: Lovely dentists & receptionist however I went yesterday and the dentist removed my wisdom tooth and in the process cracked half of my other tooth. The tooth which he cracked & left in my month has a raw sharp edge in my tooth which is stabbing me, making taking, eating, swallowing immensely uncomfortable and now I have to go to 111 tonight to fix this royal pain! I’m most disappointed I would like to mention the actual wisdom tooth removal was fine I was so nervous and the dentist were calming, but this extra tooth they cracked is giving me the most horrific pain. Feels adjacent to having glass in my mouth

The man knows his job and he makes you feel comfortable and at home! The best!! Positive experience: Average dental clinic. The staff is okay. Very small place which gives little intimacy. You can hear everything that happens in the treatment rooms from the reception area. Also one of the rooms doesn't have a door handle so it cannot be closed properly, even during treatment. The staff store their bikes in the treatment rooms, which seems quite unhygienic. People come and go from the room whilst you're on the chair, so anyone waiting in the reception can see you. On my second visit, the receptionist wasn't here, my dentist was 30 minutes late and he and his assistant were arguing over one of my teeth. I also told him that I was very nervous on the chair so I would like him to explain everything he's doing. He did it once at the beginning and that's it. I was very uncomfortable during the treatment (installation of bonding for aligners) and he did not really care. I'm only going there for my aligners because the location is very convenient. I will stick to my dentist at the William Place Dental in Bow for any other treatments.

Negative experience: Horrible experience! I was referred here by Oral health to have my wisdom tooth extraction. I came from South to East as it was the only appt available this week. I kid you not I was in the surgery 40 seconds and the dentist had injected me twice. When he started to remove the tooth I was visibly uncomfortable to which he said to me with no sympathy "I'm making this harder than it needs to be" i began to cry, he pulled he tugged the tooth was out and without another word said he left the room. Absolutely awful, you couldn't pay me to go back to that place ever again! I cried all the way home.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are amazing. I had 4 fillings with Dr Mohammed and he absolutely smashed it. The receptionists and dentists are all really friendly which helps put you at ease before any work. Then the actual procedure was executed efficiently, with the correct amount of anesthesia so that I wasn't in pain. I'll be going back here whenever I need dental work done!

From booking my call with the receptionist to having my hygienist appointment (Toyin) and general check up (Dr Mohammad) everything was so easy, quick and seamless. Great customer service and very informative! They offer a wide range of services, I was even able to get a new retainer done within two weeks!

Negative experience: I had multiple fillings and the experiment was bad. Afterwards I had intense pain in one of the teeth that was filled where there was no pain before. They re did the filling but as someone who has a fear of the dentist, having to have a filling done twice was really unpleasant. Now a year on it feels like they need to be redone again. Not worth the money.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my composite bonding done here! Couldn’t be happier!! Been seeing Dr Alia since I was 10! Have a phobia from dentists but with her advise - she knows exactly what she’s talking about and only employ’s the best dentist, hygienists, oral surgeons! I’ve recommended countless of people here and everyone comes back happy! If I were to criticise anything, it’s only that I miss your old clinic in Harley Street :( but Thank you for everything, you will always be my favourite :)

Fantastic experience: As I sit here, dribbling out of one side of my mouth it says a lot that I'm still giving these professional gum spankers five stars. Dr Mohammad Rahman is super-friendly and was very tolerant of my advanced cowardice. I've just got back from a deep clean and while this did prove there is something worse than dinner with my mother he was careful to be as gentle as it possible all the while drilling to the earth's core via my gums. He didn't use any scare tactics to convince me, instead he got me to hold up a mirror while he showed me the problem (the space between my gums and teeth forming a neat little 3d model of the Grand Canyon).

Fantastic experience: Really good dentist! I hadn’t been in a long time and first went to the hygienist who was excellent and then had a check up followed by a filling. The dentist is very caring and attentive. I am a nervous patient and he totally put me at ease, even the injections didn’t hurt after her distracted me. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth taken out here. It was expensive(all private dentists are unfortunately) but the care and time they took looking after me was worth every penny. I had multiple x-rays taken before and after the procedure, had all my concerns addressed and felt like I was a valued patient. I don't regret a thing and will be visiting them in the future to see a hygienist. I would definitely recommend if you are considering any dental work.

Negative experience: They overcharge you. I was told the consultation would be £30 but once arrived I was asked to pay an additional £30 for X-Ray that I was told would be included when I made the appointment. She also damaged my fixed retainer on examination that had to be fixed elsewhere! So, waste of time and money, I don't recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experience at AF Dental Hackney was pleasant and informative. The staff were very polite and kind; as well as patient. Also, I was given helpful information on how to correctly brush my teeth as well as, maintain the health of my gums. This was in stark contrast to my other endeavours where I relied on online information and by other dentist. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: Truly the worst receptionist I’ve ever spoken with. I had to repeat all my details at least 3 times, she nearly booked my prepaid appointment under the wrong patient and and she misheard my key details multiple times so a simple appointment booking call took twice as long as it should have. I love the hygienists here which is why I keep returning to the practice, but the painful appointment booking process is something I dread.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience here from start to finish. Was made to feel very comfortable initially by the lovely lady on the front desk, then the very professional, amiable dentist who talked me through the initial consultation and then action plan needed to remove a wisdom tooth. On day of extraction, I was slightly nervous to start, but was put at ease straight away, first at front desk, and then in the dentist’s chair. Extraction was quick and painless and brilliantly done. A few days later, it has started to heal very nicely. Very happy to know I have a great dentist to go to on my doorstep. Would highly recommended!!!

Endrin who's the hygienist that sees me is extremely thorough and very professional. Every time I come out this clinic my mouth feels like its been in a Colgate commercial. They really are incredible and I would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I first came accross AF dental by googling the best dentist in hackney. It was my first time visiting a private dentist and i can honestly say it was worth the time. The receptionist Nancy exudes the NHS 6 constitution values.. working together for patients, respect and dignity, comitment to quality of care, compassion, improving lives as well as everyone counts. Excellent communication skills, patience and knowledgeable about her role. Not to mention the dentist's, they took there time when delivering service and reassure me throughout the process in regard to what treatment is necessary. I will definitely visit again.

Negative experience: How can a private dentist not accommodate evening or weekend appointments when the people who can pay for their teeth privately are generally working people. Makes no sense whatsoever. You guys Really need to revisit your availability.
