Fantastic experience: Dr Rosario & his nurse Laura were fantastic when they did root canal work & giving me a new crown. I have my smile back & I would highly recommend them to anybody wanting any dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service throughout, from the moment I entered the reception I cannot praise the treatment I received from Dr George highly enough. At my great age I have had experience with many, many dentists, and Dr George's skill as a dental practitioner, surgeon and anaesthetist are beyond measure. But combined with this is a warmth which made me feel that he was interested in my comfort and was intent on making my treatment as pleasant as possible. And in all honesty it was totally pain free, both during the proceedure and after. I walked out of that surgery with renewed belief in modern science and the goodness of man. All I can say is, thank you, thank you, Dr George from the bottom of my heart.

Positive experience: The dentist was very good and explained my situation clearly. But the receptionist refused to let me in even though I had proof of online payment. They asked me to pay again because they couldn’t see the transaction in their system, which was very stressful. The payment system needs improvement

Amazing, friendly and professional staff make it a comfortable and stress free experience for those not keen on visiting the Dentist. Signing up to their Dental plan means the cost of my twice yearly check ups and Hygienist appointments can be spread across the year with monthly payments making it super affordable and no painful sting in my wallet on the day. The interest free loan that they offer and the 20% discount benefit attached to the Dental plan meant that my much needed and previously unaffordable front crown replacement became possible. Dr Rosario and his Nurse Laura have done an awesome job and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the result. A massive thank you to the whole team

Dr Purva is so lovely and caring and understanding, recently had a root canal done by Rosaria which I was really nervous about but it was completely pain free and done very professionally. I recently left another dentist in Hove as they were appalling, despite having good reviews. Hangleton is a whole different experience, so pleased I switched when I did. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I finally decided to attend a dentist after over 20 years of not going through anxiety, I attended my initial appointment today, and it went well, my dental therapist was to the point, but welcomed information and I'm booked into have further treatment, I am happy with what I have experienced today and hope that my dental phobia is over, I have recommended the practice to others for it's welcoming reception area, modern and clean facilities, reception staff were very personable and approachable.

Fantastic experience: EDIT OCTOBER 2025: INCREDIBLE! My dentist Natnael Desta has been absolutely brilliant. He has changed my life. None of this would have been possible without his assistant Nurse Pooja - she's so kind, understanding and professional. These two feel more like friends than doctors. Also, a huge shout out to all the other dentists and nurses, who have all been so kind to me. The staff on reception have also been so kind, professional and helpful - they've worked every single appointment around me and my work schedule and have been extremely accommodating. A year ago, i couldn't even bring myself to go within 100yds of a Dentist, but because of everyone at Hangleton Dental and especially Dr. Natnael Desta and Nurse Pooja, they understood all my anxieties and mental issues i had with healthcare, approached it in a positive way and got everything to a point where I actually enjoyed going to them every single appointment. I also feel the cost of my entire treatment has been extremely value for money and fair. So if you are ever in doubt of the dentist, worried about sitting in that chair, or worried about what they will say about the condition of your teeth, go to Hangleton Dental - they are THE BEST at dentistry and they never ever make you feel uncomfortable and they certainly don't judge. OCTOBER 2024 Excellent. Was very nervous but they made me completely at ease. Had an extraction and was completely painless. I'm now signed up as a member and they are more than happy to continue with fixing and improving my dental health. If you've had enough with NHS dentists, honestly, pay private and go with Hangleton. They are amazing and a much much higher standard of care than NHS. I used to have to be dragged to the dentist and literally forced...not now though. Edit- Rameesha the hygienist and her assistant are amazing aswell. Dr. Nat and Dr. Marco are incredible dentists and will always look after you

Positive experience: I booked an emergency dentist appointment, and over the phone, the lady who booked me in said the fee would include X-rays and fillings. Based on that, I paid upfront. However, when I arrived for the appointment, I was told I needed a filling — and that it would be an additional £195. I clarified this with the dentist (who was lovely, by the way), but I do feel the staff booking appointments should be more transparent. The fee only covers temporary fillings, which wasn’t made clear at all, and feels a bit misleading. Also, due to work commitments, I didn’t attend the appointment until a couple of days after the initial call. Looking back, I feel I could’ve booked a regular appointment instead and paid far less, had I known the full details upfront. That said, Rosario and the dental nurse were really kind and professional during the appointment.

Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom tooth removed. I didn’t feel a thing and was done in no time. The staff are friendly and kept me informed at all times.

Fantastic experience: I am one of those who had a terrible experience at a dentist as a teen, and have struggled with real fear and anxiety ever since. Following an emergency 111 call, I ended up hearing from Hangleton. My faith has been restored. Check up and antibiotics last week and the wonderful and calming Rosario who promised me it wouldn’t hurt , saved my tooth today! An absolute hero and now my go to dentist. Also worth signing up to their monthly plan, the benefits are financially rewarding in the grand scheme of things. Whether you go private or join the NHS waiting list, you won’t be disappointed. Fantastic experience: Have recently had a crown and all my old amalgam fillings replaced with white composite ones. Can’t recommend Dr Rosario highly enough. All the treatments were completely painless & I was kept informed all the way through. Appointments were easy to make with little to no delay. Aftercare is also not a problem - if you feel a filling needs to be slightly reshaped they fit you in as quickly as possible. Everyone’s lovely throughout the whole team (clinicians & receptionists).

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Hangleton Dental Practice my whole life (nearly 30 years!) and I've never had a bad experience! The staff are very friendly and approachable and the service is brilliant. I've always been able to get appointments when I've needed them and I've always been pleased with the treatment I've received. At my most recent visit in August I had a hygienist appointment with Tony - he was kind and informative and my teeth were noticeably cleaner afterwards. I also spoke with Mariana on reception, who was friendly and helpful as always. I can't recommend enough!!

Fantastic experience: Had my tooth extracted at very late notice. On a Sunday, was in the worst pain ever. Rang them at 12.30pm- all done by 1.15pm Amazing experience Gentle, made me feel at ease. Fantastic experience: Excellent experience from receptionists who were on top of what they are doing and very polite and friendly, I was seen within a week for a free consultation for composite bonding, Excellent consultation and I was seen by hygienist after straight away for a hygiene appointment. I was than booked in for composite bonding on the Sunday, just came back and had eight top teeth done by Dr Amir ,he's a genius, he's skills and expertise, was outstanding I was very comfortable to during treatment and was asked if I was OK , im going back in two weeks to have bottom ones done ,and the results are just as they should be you ,i am pleased that they are very natural looking with the shade ,they look whiter ,won't be disappointed, this is definitely a welcoming and outstanding practice, im looking forward to my bottom teeth done ,many thanks Amir and his team . Then a same day emergency procedure carried out later by Dr Rosario and his assistant Laura, who were both very professional. Everything explained before the procedure with what options I had. Cost was very reasonable for this service. I would recommend to anyone in the Brighton / Hove area. Parking also very easy close by to surgery.

Positive experience: I had really good private work undertaken by George..it is not easy to trust a dentist when you need a lot of complex work to be done but I can honestly say that the work was excellent. Going private is expensive...if you have to do this I woumd recommend George.

Negative experience: Always late. Every single appointment I’ve attended I’ve been sat waiting atleast 25 minutes with no explanation. Very frustrating.

Positive experience: Overall the dental care treatment I’ve recently had from Nat is been the best so far but I just wish I was seen by him before instead of being referred to an nhs dentist for root canal treatment at first. I wish Hangleton dental practice had been more honest with me and told me right from the start that for root canal treatments on the nhs it can take years to be seen and by then it would be too late for them to go ahead with a root canal treatment or even save the tooth,because obviously the tooth would of deteriorated with a decay and infection and there would just be no point in having root canal treatment anymore which that was the situation in my case and instead I ended up having to have another type of treatment which ended up costing more than what originally a root canal treatment would of cost me which would of been less of course.I have got the impression that if it wasn’t by me that persisted to Hangleton dental practice by asking them if there was another dentist that I could possibly be seen by that also did root canal treatments of course privately,they just wouldn’t of looked into my case or even recommended me or suggested another dentist.which leaves me thinking that money is more important than the actual patient treatments.

Negative experience: I wouldn't even give 1 star but unfortunately it's the lowest you can give. You have zero privacy of your personal information as it's loudly said back to you when trying to talk quietly. Someone I know paid 10 grand 3 years ago for a set of teeth which ain't been finished yet. A lot of people find the receptionist very rude and have zero understanding of people with disabilities, especially mental health issues. They will speak to you like a pay check not a person. Belittle you in their tiny reception room, and don't have an understanding of people that fear the dentist generally. Definitely not a good practice to join. Steer clear, mark my words, you will regret going to this business. Private and NHS. They lose your records at their convenience and lie about what they talk about in the dentist chair. They do not care at all about you. Only what you can pay.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They accuse you of been abusive when infact you're just responding to their unconventional approach. Belittle you then ban you for your view on how they act. Of course you become the bad one for responding to their actions. Heed my comments. Trust. Ask anyone in the area. They will also tell you to stay away.... Also if they had an understanding of mental health, I wouldn't be writing this review. They cannot spot hidden disabilities. They only care about gossiping on front counter and sharing your information with clients sat around them listening. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Speaking your mind and standing up for yourself is NOT abusive behaviour, you have every right to be upset about your information being spoken loudly in front of others. It's called respecting clients confidentiality. Training is definitely needed. Kind Regards, and good luck to anyone that trusts these people. I will not hide my disabilities. Thank you for reading. Fantastic experience: WOW! I broke my two front teeth on Friday evening, but didn't have a dentist. Hangleton Dental practice was amazing. They had me in over the weekend, and Brisi and Amir had my teeth back and good as new by the time I was back at work on Monday. My teeth look as if it never happened, and I am so happy and grateful for the speed at which they saw me and the amazing work Amir and Brisi did to my teeth. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: This place is nothing but a joke. The receptionists are the most non sympathetic robotic script reading individuals I've ever come across at any practice. Most of my queries are done via email for a reason, this dental practice has an email for other ways to contact other than calling. So, I use the email because it's the most easiest way I can convey my oral history & issues. The massive issue with this practice is that, they'll reply by telephone, despite I said in my email message to them "Please get back to me via email". I have OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apenea) and it's so severe that I can't work. This is the reason why I use email queries, because its the best way I can back to them. They don't respect my wishes, they're as blunt as ever. I'd say THEE worst receptionists and most incompetent dentists too. You possibly need a 3rd ear in most cases because English speaking is diabolical and not made clear from particular dentists. It's actually embarrassing not to have clear informative communication to those who need to understand issues regarding their oral state. Like I said, be wary of this practice. They just assume everyone is 100% fit in health and can answer at the beckoning of their call. Their practice is CLOSED on a Sunday, but they called me at 9:43am in the morning on Sunday!!!!! (The day of rest!!!) Their idiotic response may be "You used an emergency contact solution" - well It filtered what I could email them about, and I expressed that I needed to know if my referral to a certain hospital has been put down as 'urgent'. As I reiterate again, I said at the bottom of my email to them; "Please can you get back to me via email." I've requested it, You follow it by my wishes. Don't call me when you assume everyone is in the same boat. It's like the people who work here categorise everyone as stereotypically old pensioners who get up at 6am everyday. (I'm in my 30s, with numerous health conditions) Just awful. Absolutely lost for words.

Fantastic experience: I saw DR George as an emergency with an abscess. Throughout the process Dr George was very welcoming and explained the process in detail. I had an xray and needed an extraction. It didn’t hurt at all including the injections. So all in all very impressed with all the staff at the dentists and especially DR George for his excellent work.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this dentist enough! I very sadly broke my front tooth falling over and was at a bit of a loss with what to do about it. My previous dentist referred me to a specialist to get a root canal treatment, which I did, but they couldn't book me in for another two weeks to get it fixed up. I obviously wanted to get it sorted ASAP so I did some research and came across Hangleton Dental Practice and gave them a ring thinking I'd hopefully be able to get seen a littler earlier. I didn't expect to be seen that very same day for a free consultation and get booked in the following day for cosmetic bonding. The reception team were lovely and made me feel welcomed and cared for as soon as I arrived. My initial appointment with Dr Purva was wonderful, she was caring and really listened to me. I was then seen the following day by Dr Georgis who was extremely professional and efficient. I was completely blown away by the results of the bonding, you can't even tell which tooth it was. He was very thorougher and crafted the tooth excellently with such care. I am extremely grateful you were able to get me booked in so quickly and for such skills in bringing my smile back. Negative experience: Really poor service booked an emergency, and just 10 minutes before my booking and having cancelled my job and didn’t get attended very bad experience, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I can not tell you what an amazing experience I had . Was in incredible pain with toothache I WhatsApp and had support from evening and early morning. Was seen immediately the next day , my tooth was extracted with the most care as I was a complete mess , the lady I think sarah most probably wrong as can't remember alot , was so caring and put me at ease. Fantastic experience: I am not a nervous patient but I am extremely sensitive with regard to items being placed in my mouth - this clearly causes the dentist a lot of problems. In my experience Rahul is not only an excellent technician but is super patient to those of us with particular needs: he is reassuring, calm and extremely pragmatic in his handling of an individual's needs.

Negative experience: Signed up to Hangleton dental practise last year. Had a check up was advised on a heavy filled tooth to be crowned £775 (private). So trusted there professional advise and hands. First of all, be warned they will take every deposit off you they can, for every jobs even 6 months down the line s so your always in there pocket. Watch there scam. Now on the day of the temporary crown fitting seemly all went well no pain, nothing. After two days of being in pain they offered me a free appointment, to check the temporary crown. During examination no xray was given or full in depth examination of temporary crowned tooth. I then was slapped with another £775 bill for root canal. I didn’t sign and went for a second option long story short. Turns out the tooth was infected which I should have been given antibiotics by hangleton dental practise, didn’t happen.Was given by new dentist. In the end after two long months of pain and battling there ever absent manager Jane for a refund I finally got it. Them knowing I have crippling evidence. Extraction of the tooth by a different Dentist gave evidence that there was a crack in the top of the tooth and the root of the tooth Which Hangleton dental practice would’ve seen if they xray. But some reason didn’t want to mmmmmm, funny ah. They still owe me for previous deposits with cancellations two months in advance prior to their 48hour Cancellation policy. Now after I write this review, I’m sure the owner will leave comments such like you “don’t seem to be on our records”,@ You’re barking up the wrong tree” We don’t have any records of your appointment on that day” Heard it all before mate….. These all seem very familiar and a on going pattern. I hope many folks can read this and trust me I’ve left it time to think if I was going to write a review and what affects this would have on my case. Turns out non, because they owe me. Save your teeth, save your money , don’t trust there option. They just want your money. And they think you’re stupid. Worst, untrusting dentist. Jane (manager) answer my emails please Update to response. — then why without xray after being and knowing I was in pain would you offer root Canal and the possibility and future certainty That I would have a tooth infection. And as you will truly know, sir any tooth operated on with infection could lead to sepsis. Which your dentist offered to operate on.See my issue here. How is that professional? Purva malik, there was a tooth infection shown proven by another Dentist practise,1 day after I had appointment at your practise. If your Dentist xray me like he should have, he would have seen the tooth infection plus a crack on top of the tooth and 1 in the root. Also I am still owed £35 for a deposit on a hygienist appointment in may i cancelled last month. I’m still owed money from a separate appointments I paid which I cancelled. So should be awaiting that too or I can come collect it

Negative experience: I attended Hangleton for a dental emergency on a Sunday. My bridge had fallen out and it needed recementing in. The dentist installed this at such an angle that there was a huge gap between the gum and the tooth and was really disgruntled when I asked for this to be corrected. He fiddled around for a bit and then told me he couldn't do it. Thankfully, I was offered a refund a refund on the booking price and wasn't charged, which I'm thankful of. However, I have today had the bridge recemented at the correct position. However, the dentist has informed me that this won't last very long because of how the cement was removed from the bridge from my visit to Hangleton. It shouldn't have been removed with a fast saw, as it left the wing ridged and scratched. So I'm not needing to look into an implant. I found the dentist and Hangleton's general manner to be really poor, especially as I was a nervous patient. He kept muttering while attempting to put the bridge back in a second time that I should have perhaps gone back to where I got it put in, and that he was now pushing his next patients late (I already was seen 40 minutes late). Which may be true, but to start saying this to the patient in the chair is pretty off.

Negative experience: Had an appointment. Was waiting 20 minutes in the waiting room. Wouldn't have been an issue normally but the receptionist was very ill and coughing. No windows open so was stuck in small room no ventilation. Me and my family are vulnerable to illness. Cherry on top was had to see a different dentist and they had no access to my records. Very uncomfortable appointment

Negative experience: Just found out that my dentist is leaving and I shall no longer be NHS. Daughter booked for an emergency appointment and wasn't told this either. Very disappointed that we are not being given this information via email or text. It seems that NHS dentist are taken on for a couple of years and then they just leave. This time no replacement put in place.

Negative experience: I have been with this surgery for over a year, routine checkups were fine. however, when my dentist recommended a bridge treatment, they refused to do it under the NHS and insisted I go private instead. Suddenly, there were no NHS appointments available, but they had plenty of slots available if I was willing to pay their private fees. This feels like a complete scam and ripoff. Very disappointing and unfair.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic, friendly and professional practice. I was seen by a lovely chap called George for a complicated root canal, the service was outstanding and patient care couldn’t be better. Very thankful for the amazing work by all the staff members, highly recommend.

Negative experience: I'm going to write this review after thinking the entire evening for what just happened . They're all very nice and friendly, but they could have done better . I went in December while knowing my situation that I need the root canal . I went in and asked the reception if how much they're charging for root canal reception said they can't say the actual price but the specialist only and to get the specialist assessment i need to pay 70 pounds . After paying 70 pounds, the specialist told me i needed a root canal and filling in another teath, I simply agreed, and they told me to pay a 50-pound advance for booking the next appointment root canal treatment. The next appointment on the due date got cancelled due to no availability of the dentist . Finally, after 20 days, i got another appointment where I was expecting to be treated so I could get rid of pain permanently instead of treatment. Once again, i was checked up and told that my tooth required another treatment, which is going to cost more than what I was told earlier. I mentioned that I'm very much ok with the previous price, and treatment was suggested, but they said it was miscalculated or something i didn't understand. They asked me to book another appointment. when I came out at the reception, they charged me 50 pound for the check-up again . So, all in all, what i have been through and experience, i felt like these people more than treatment they're simply generating the revenue through check ups and not really interested in doing something practical treatment. It's like, i just paid 170 pounds so they can tell me my tooth is decaying, which i am aware of already 3 times a day while cleaning my teeth for the past 6 months It's really sad

Fantastic experience: Update - Hangleton Dental continue to impress. I have hadcthree crowns, a root canal and some extensive repairs carried out (snapped tooth) over the last 5 months. Brilliant Service, caring and all round great workmanship. Natnael in particular has taken such good care of my teeth with the crowns and root canal. Really impressed with Hangleton Dental Practice. From an initial emergency appointment (just before Christmas) at short notice to follow up treatment today the service delivered has been excellent. From initial contact through to treatment and ensuring I left knowing how to care for my two extractions, all of the team put me at ease in a professional and caring fashion. I am an anxious dental patient at the best of times, I highly recommend if you are of the same disposition. Five Stars all round.

Negative experience: Becareful as this place is disgraceful they took my child of nhs then I got charged £72 for private vist and they said he was being naughty ( he has autism) the woman didn't even do anything and still took payment we had to go Morley Street as we still pending tooth removal we then go back to dentist to be told they sent urgent referral to hospital fast forward till now I've had no communication from the dentist and they now put my child back on private list and now hospital can't send report as its diffrent list to nhs one and now my son suffering because this place goes behind your back and causes alot of stress and worry avoid if you have children with additional needs its disgusting and disgrace
