Fantastic experience: Having been a patient for many years I encountered a dental problem and I chose to have implants and was introduced to Ronnie and Erica. I was very nervous at the prospect but they are both so nice that they immediately put me at ease. Because of this I had confidence in them and agreed to go ahead. All through the process they were so relaxed and chatty that I felt totally at ease. They explained everything in detail and most of the time I was not even aware that Ronnie had carried out a procedure. They are a great team. Erica is the woman behind the man and contributes with great advice and humour. She is also the organiser and manages the process effortlessly. I had two implants and a bridge which looks wonderful. I would not have contemplated going through this if it were not for Ronnie and would recommend them without any hesitation. I cannot speak highly enough of the team.

Fantastic experience: I visited the practice yesterday for my check up .I mentioned that one of my teeth had a rough edge aggravating my tongue. Meena attended to this taking a few seconds to smooth the edge .I was astounded to learn that the cost of this quick procedure cost £25. As a long term patient with this practice ...decades...I thought this was excessive and was somewhat disappointed. Left me with a bad feeling.

Fantastic experience: Please see update from 22/07/25 below. A really good dental practice, friendly, helpful, informative and caring. Earlier in the year I had a check up with Dr Payal Patel that included x- rays. Payal called me back to discuss a sound but poorly adhering filling. We had a full discussion about the options and very recently two fillings were replaced. Probably the best fillings i have received, painless injections and very quick fillings. I have had regular dentistry since my early teens and because of moving about have seen numerous dentists some of whom I would not recommend! This is not the case with Payal whom I would heartily recommend. Update on 22/07/25. I have been treated by Dr. Minal Patel who was my dentist before PayPal ( change over because of maternity leave). All that I said about PayPal also applies to Minal. As I said previously during my life I have seen many dentists but without a doubt Payal and Minal are the best dentists I have ever visited. I thoroughly recommend Shirley Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: This is the most well cared practice and with lots of experience in the day to day practice. Shiv and Minal And Sapna are excellent Doctors and they have abilities to comfort the patients. I will highly recommend for any dental treatment.

Negative experience: After attending the practice for 4 years and spent over 4k the receptionist could not accommodate a patient request for an appointment and was only too happy to remove me from their register rather than looking for a workaround. Great business acumen Shirley dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: I have used this dental practice regularly for 16 years since retirement from a career in an NHS hospital where I had access to a first class dental surgeon. The dentists and support staff fill me with confidence in their approach to their work for me, as a patient now rather than clinician. They are friendly, caring, very gentle and technically excellent. My wife and friends recommended me to use them. Never had a bad session in the chair.

He is conscientious, kind, and very thorough, never satisfied with anything less than perfection. I was also lucky that he was working with Erica, who is the most fabulous dental nurse, caring and sympathetic, with a deep knowledge and understanding of the procedures involved. I would recommend anyone needing specialist implant procedures to trust this team. I'm only sorry that my treatment is complete! I should add that the prices were very fair.

Fantastic experience: I came into the practice with a painful tooth, deep down knowing it will probably lead to a root canal. I have had many painful and traumatic experiences at the dentists in the past – including a root canal and naturally kept away until I was no longer able to. I met with the dentist Payal Patel as she came highly recommended and was instantly met with warmth and a sense of security.  I was 3 months pregnant and extremely anxious about pretty much everything. Payal explained all the steps in detail with her pool of knowledge along with putting me at complete ease, not only her but also the dental nurse Rose who was simply outstanding and extremely re-assuring. 
Given my anxiousness and fear of pain (which actually up until now there’s been no pain during the procedures) Rose & Payal have been incredibly wonderful, every step during the dental process is explained and reminded to me. I had an incident at nearly 20 weeks where I almost passed out, my first experience of this ever due to the pregnancy. Payal & Rose couldn’t have looked after me any better, I felt incredibly safe, they were hands on deck and knew exactly what to do. I even received a follow up call later that day to check if I was okay. I honestly cannot recommend Payal Patel and Rose enough, their professionalism, work and the gift of making you feel at home speaks volumes. Given my unique situation they have been simply amazing and thanks to them I can calmly enter the practice.

Fantastic experience: With all the guidance and care provided with the team at Shirley Dental Practice, I felt in very good hands when it came to the removal of my tooth. Photo's and x-rays were taken prior to any action and clear advice and options provided every step of the way. I highly recommend this dental practice for check ups and also for anything else dental related. PS - They even cleaned my tooth up and packaged it for me to take home.

Fantastic experience: I've always had problems with tooth extractions over the years with dentist's, from wisdoms teeth and a molar, due to long tooth roots but my experience with Shirley Dental Practice has without doubt been the most successful experience in the 33 yrs of 4 teeth extractions performed. Definitely not a pleasure as my teeth appear to be super stubborn when extractions are involved but I was free from discomfort less than 24hrs after procedure and my dentist and his assistant were very informative and reassuring throughout the nearly 2 hour extraction of very stubborn tooth. I cant give a higher level of recommendation to Shirley Dental practice for there level of skill and professionalism. I almost look forward to follow up treatment for fillings but that would be going a bit to far.

Fantastic experience: I had my Invisalign treatment at Shirley Dental Practice. The receptionists were very nice and made sure I got appointments that fit around my schedule. My dentist (Shiv) made my Invisalign journey go very well; I had no issues through it, and he explained the process in great detail, so I was not unsure about anything. Also, in the monthly checkups I had, he made sure my teeth were moving in the right direction and that they were healthy. Overall, the whole process was very smooth. I would definitely recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my Invisalign treatment with Amie, who I decided to go with after several consultations as she made me feel at ease and reassured about the treatment. Amie has been amazing throughout and always listened to what I had to say. I’ve now walked away with the exact smile I wanted and it’s safe to say I cannot stop smiling. Fantastic experience: Great Denis it would highly recommend, very friendly staff and as someone who isn’t very keen on the dentist they make you feel very relaxed and at ease at all times, i starting coming to the practice this year but I will be coming here for the rest of my life now.

Using numbing gel prior to injecting the local anaesthetic; I have never had this process in my previous dental practice. Fantastic experience: I was warmly welcomed as a new patient to this practice. The dentist with whom I had booked an appointment with saw me enter the surgery and despite not seeing me for many years, at t a different practice, he welcomed me by name; he remembered who I was and much about my teeth. The receptionist was also very welcoming. Everyone I saw within the surgery acknowledged me and made me feel relaxed. My dentist took time to tell me exactly what he was doing at each point. I strongly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: Fell for the glowing reviews and decided to book an appointment. Following two appointments, the doctor rather assertively recommended an extreme and life-changing treatment, which was out of the question and kindly declined by me. I asked them to consider alternative treatment options, and oh well, the practice went radio silent for months, until out of the blue they contacted me to book a hygiene appointment, without addressing the initial issue or my request. Although I made it clear to the practice that I wanted my data, including dental records, to be removed from their system, they keep sending me reminders to book a dental check-up. It makes you question the authenticity of the sugar-coated reviews, the practice didn’t look busy at all.
