Fantastic experience: Just got back from an appointment with Alecs. The reception staff are great. They are welcoming, always helpful and considerate and do their best to solve any questions. The practice itself is looking smarter and more professional than in the past, thanks to its renovation. Alecs shows genuine kindness and care for her patients and goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and ok during treatment. Today she showed a real interest in my general health and even offered her assistance with an issue - who knew dentists were able to communicate with GPs etc when there are concerns! I felt listened to by both her and her nurse. Thank you to the whole team.

Fantastic experience: I have attended here regularly for a long time & find everyone is caring & helpful. I decided to splash out & get a new top denture as my old one was getting near to maybe break as it was old. I didn't want to look as though I had got it out of a Christmas cracker, so splashed out for a private one. It is very natural & fitted very well. I was able to pay for it in a couple of instalments which helped a lot.

Negative experience: We consulted the dentist to review what sort of InvisiLine treatment my daughter needed. All the forms were filled in as required including her age. When they finished we were charged for the consultancy and told they would not be able to do the treatment due to her age! They knew this before the examination therefore it was a complete waste of my work time and money. I strongly recommend looking at more professional dentists first! 9/8/25 As an reply to your comment, the reason you could not do the Invisalign treatment was because you have a minimum age limit of 18 yrs old, which funnily enough you did not tell us until after the paid consultation as my daughter was 16 yrs old as per the form you got us to fill in, hence our demand for you to refund our money as you have scammed us! I do wonder how many more have you done this too?

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Patel today for some checking up and cleaning. I was nervous. She and her assistant were very relaxed and spoke gently. During the work they were very sensitive to how I felt. When I raised my hand a bit they stopped straight away to give me the pause I wanted before continuing.

I’ve spent thousands with this dentist and I moved abroad due to work and since returning I’ve tried to get some work done on my teeth. I’ve been told that my account has been deleted, and I need to register as a new patient or make an emergency appointment… clearly another money grabbing scheme. If you want customer service DO NOT come to this dentist. 0 star rating to the management and the reception team especially HABIB.

Fantastic experience: I hate the dentist! However, the team at Basset Dental make you feel relaxed and welcome! They listen to your needs and provide practically pain free dentistry. I hadn't been to the dentist for a long time due to the lack of NHS spaces but came across these guys whilst visiting Upton's Butchers and found them to be friendly and helpful. I checked their prices and decided that they were cheaper than many other private practices so decided to give them a go. I had my first checkup and despite my teeth being a complete disaster was not made to feel bad about their poor state but instead, Dr Jinal who was very patient, gentle and considerate came up with a plan to get them back in good condition with an initial hygienist appointment and then moving on to the other repairs my teeth desperately need. All aspects of future work on my teeth was clearly explained with costed options, allowing me to choose what I could afford and what was essential. Nothing was forced down my throat and I never felt like they were trying cash in on the poor state of my teeth. I needed a filling in one of my wisdom tooth which required a couple of injections and some major drilling, it was basically pain free! I also needed an emergency appointment after an old filing broke and was seen the same day which is great service. The surgery is very clean and modern which adds to the overall feeling of a quality service.If you hate the dentist like I do then Basset Dental is the place for you! If you have nervous kids then I think they would feel very relaxed here too!

Fantastic experience: My crown came out, and my NHS dentist was unable to help, so I visited the Bassett Dental& Aethetics near home just before Easter. Thank you to a friendly receptionist for booking me the second day appointment! I am so happy that Dr Patel was able put the crown back. Although it was temper repair as she explained, but it did help my eating a lot, and it is still solid. I very much appreciated her skills and knowledge!

She took great care to ensure that I knew what was happening at each stage and did the work carefully to avoid giving me pain. I also liked being distracted by the large TV screen to watch. It was showing an overhead tour of Rome - I think.

Fantastic experience: Had to visit this dentist because I needed an emergency appointment to re-glue a bridge, brilliant service from start to finish. All staff were very helpful and professional and the work done (and explanations where necessary) was top class. I've no idea if the cost, £185 in total, is usual for this type of work (I've never gone 'private' before, always NHS) but as they got me in the same day and it was such a good experience I feel the cost was fair. I will definitely put my name down to register for NHS as soon as they open the list up again.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this practice for many years and I have always been a very nervous patient. I worry for days before my appointment but when I get there everyone is always so lovely and kind that I have never turned around and ran back out of the door!. The improvements to the building have been amazing and given the surgery a polished look and feel. Dr Jinal Patel has such a calm and reassuring nature and her dental assistants Laura and recently Jordon are always kind and gentle. I have been seeing Lucy the hygienist who is also lovely and gives good advice. The reception staff are smart, professional and always friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: I will start by saying that after a visit to another clinic my child was traumatised I registered him with Basset Dental he has already had 2 visits with Balpreet Virk at each visit his fear was taken into account and everything was explained to him for as long as possible. When I have been registered at the practice I was a patient of a dentist who is no longer there I was given another one although the way they addressed my issues was unacceptable I sent an email about the situation where I got a response very fast and another dentist saw me ,today I had a preparation for a crown with Dr Barbara Serralheiro I had a hard day where my arythmia kicked in but visiting Barbara who is a really nice person and her dental nurse(sorry forgot her name) I felt stress free while coming out of the room the preparation tooth for crown was also 5* hopefully now everything will go smooth .thank you

Fantastic experience: Elenzabeth is wonderful! I came in for an emergency appointment and she was nothing less than caring and comforting. Just over 4 weeks later I came back for the treatment and she was attentive, calm and kind. She remembered that I find the dentist very unsettling and it makes me anxious, without me having to tell her, she took the time to calm me and go slower so that I felt at ease. She made me laugh and smile which was lovely. The dental assistants I had both visits were also just as brilliant and kind but I didn’t catch their names. Fantastic experience: Dr Jinal Patel is an excellent dentist with great communication skills. She has really improved the look and feel of my front teeth using composite bonding. She made sure i was fully informed of the process and her attention to detail was outstanding. Fantastic experience: reception team are all lovely and do an absolutely amazing job and nothing is ever too much trouble and I find all staff really knowledgeable and are always happy to give advice and help in any way they can. I would also like to give a big shout out to Dr Philippa Harris. Me & my daughter both see Philippa for our regular check up’s & examinations and she really listens, takes her time, gives advice and completes referrals if necessary. She is very knowledgeable and very reassuring. I have also had a wisdom tooth removed as a private patient with Dr Aleksandra Tobiszewska. Not going to lie on the day of my appointment with Aleksandra I was feeling nervous! And this is where my second shout out goes to Aleksandra because as soon as I walked in and met Aleksandra and her team, with their warm welcome I immediately felt more at ease. Aleksandra then took her time to explain everything, answer all my questions and reassure me that my fears would not happen and that I had nothing to be afraid of. She reassured me throughout the appointment, explaining what she was doing and when, and really took her time and allowed me to guide her as and when to take a break or crack on! Nothing was too much trouble. And lastly but not least! I would like to shout out to Lauren & Alex the nurses. Both are so lovely & friendly and again took their time to put me at ease and chat away with me which really helped take my mind off the procedure all whilst seamlessly assisting Aleksandra. Negative experience: They are sooo over rated Start from beginning They cut cost to absolutely minimum Avoid coming on NHS !!! - silver/black tooth filling the same as 80-90th old style dentist ( other dentist on NHS give white/tooth colour filling - root canal treatment impossible or extra charge in 1000th pounds per tooth One Russian or other post soviet dentist I forgot the name give me one treatment on tooth what doesn’t pain at all first I get this silver filling but that was okey.. after week this tooth start strongly pain. I been abroad so I get to dentist there but they say dentist did massive mistake and I need take antibiotics and canal rooth treatment or just remove this tooth. So I’m back to him and I tell this and he check and told me 7000£ for microscopic root treatment… AVOID !!! A lot much better dentist in Southampton

I also had a hygienist appointment at Bassett Dental. The hygienist was very attentive, made sure I was comfortable and thoroughly took time to clean my teeth.
