Fantastic experience: Had 2 teeth out today and Brij and Amy were fab. I have had a fear of the dentist for years and have slowly built my confidence up over the last 5 years whilst visiting this dentist and I can honestly say I had nothing to worry about when I had the procedure. Quick efficient and painless and went above and beyond to stem my fear

Negative experience: I have been using the practice for over 40 years and my recent visit 31/7/2025 has really let me down the worst fitting 2nd pair of dentures ever so loose I'm frightened of swallowing the bottom denture and paid over £300 for these and last two appointments cancelled for this shoddy work to cap it all the first pair were not perfect but at least they were a tighter fit.

OMG how rubbish is this place!! a week of trying to call and make a appointment & no one can pick up the phone!! Cant do the basics makes you wonder what state they will leave your mouth in....

Fantastic experience: Just completed Invisalign with Ana Lopez- Val. I had regular contact with her throughout my treatment plan. I have been really pleased with both the service and the outcome and so pleased I did it. I get comments now on how good my teeth look!

Negative experience: I felt that the dentist did not communicate effectively throughout the procedure. When he assessed my teeth (despite their sensitivity) he did not explain what he was about to do, such as when he began tapping on them. His lack of communication added to my discomfort, especially given my existing anxiety about visiting the dentist, which made the experience even more distressing. Also, I was promised certain documents by the end of the day, which were necessary for me to seek treatment elsewhere. Unfortunately, these were not provided, which caused an unnecessary delay in my treatment. This was an emergency appointment which extended into the practice's lunch hours and I couldn’t help but feel that I was an inconvenience to a few of the staff members.

Negative experience: I was due an appointment today at 10:15 but because I’ve been really ill since last Thursday I thought it would be best to rearrange so I’ve made 9 calls to the practice and wasted 39 minutes listening to musics just to get cut off. I also sent an email yesterday to try and say I could not attend but no reply. I’ve tried my best to rearrange. PLEASE tell me what else am I supposed to do. By the way the dentists are really good here. So this purely aimed at the phone system in place

Positive experience: The dentists themselves are fine, and the lady who does the x-rays is lovely. However, trying to get through on the phone is a joke these days. It never used to be this way, something has changed recently... I have tried on numerous occasions to call and have been put on hold for up to 10 minutes, then they cut me off with a message asking me to try again later! The check-in process is now on a screen when you get there... So there are 3 receptionists sitting behind the desk who don't have to check people in and don't bother answering the phones?

Well done and thank you for an excellent and reliable service. Upon leaving I asked reception for the next hygiene appointment and amazingly they said how about 10am same day, I was more than pleased. Hygienist Lal-Joth was very careful, very professional and friendly, made me feel at ease, highly recommend and was also assisted by a very nice and courteous gentleman Dharam, thank you both. I've been going to this dental practice since 2022 and find all reception staff very welcoming, professional, friendly and with a warm smile (nice to see), special thanks to Rachel, very attentive.

Negative experience: Even when I was an NHS patient, this place appeared far more concerned with payments than patient care. The crown I had was (and still is) rough around the base and to fix their poor workmanship they wanted to charge private fees ... for their manifest incompetence. And so to today's experience and what prompted this review: A couple of years ago I attempted to book a post-Covid checkup - at the same time as a scale and polish - over the phone. Having verbally been quoted a price, I called back 15-or-so minutes later to query it as it seemed unduly high. It was: I had been booked in as a private client. When I explained I was a longstanding NHS patient, I was told I would have to rebook for those, ahem, 'services' ... and the earliest they could fit me in was 3+ months down the line, despite actually already having an appointment in the diary. Very much a 2-tier service, then. I went elsewhere as it had been 2 long years. Today, I called for an emergency appointment for a painful cracked tooth - resulting from a large filling this practice had previously made, no less, which has come out - and was told I was no longer registered as a patient there. I would have to wait until January ... despite the pain I am in. (Fortunately I'm on Tramadol and Naproxen for a back injury, and these mitigate against the dental pain when they kick in; many won't be as 'fortunate'). However, the receptionist was having none of it and stuck to a clearly well-rehearsed rejection script. I am not alone in receiving this kind of treatment. I have to say, albeit anecdotally, that something appears to have changed over the years here: my family and I used to all see the same dentist who at least had a semblance of who we were. In later years this was an ever-rotating roster of whoever was available, with almost all appointments seemingly rushed - a clear indication of quantity over quality - and most with varying degrees of bedside manner, experience and ability. This is the only dental practice where, having been injected with anaesthetic, I have repeatedly been asked to go sit in the reception area to wait for it to take effect, drooling like an idiot! Unfortunately, the place appears to have gone the same way as many dental practices with profit at the top of the tree of importance and patient care and respect well towards the bottom. This 2-star review isn't a 1-star solely because it used to be respectable ... albeit a long, long time ago. In my opinion: AVOID - there are better (and worse!) practices out there. Look online and speak to your friends and family - real-world experiences matter, not rhetoric. PS If you read this review, Brij Dhody and Associates, and decide to formally respond to it, then perhaps when you attempt your reply you'll approach things a little differently than your receptionist by actually listening to (reading) what's being said (written). Being interrupted and spoken over - when you've all but lost your voice due to a cold - with prior statements simply being repeated without any meaningful attempt at understanding is nothing more than downright rude. After a while, I chose to put the phone down than listen to any more of this practice's nonsense.

Fantastic experience: Always treated with dignity. Dentists are helpful and careful. My dentist (Dr Lopez-Val) has always been attentive and considerate, always ready with advice and suggestions. She carried out my alignment treatment, which I am extremely happy with.

Negative experience: There is no professionalism within the reception team at the Brij Dhody. They were so rude to us. The second point is as soon as you arrive at the reception, they are asking to pay even before we see the dentist. During my previous appointment the dentist told me that it will take 40 - 50 mins to do both my fillings, but during this visit the dentist was in so rush and literally sent me out so quickly. Also,the only thing they were focusing was is getting our signatures on the treatment plan. I am not sure if my fillings have been done properly because of how rush the dentist was. Something has definitely changed at Brij Dhody dental practice. They only care about money and they are not patient focused. I'm not sure if they have a certain way of treating NHS patients over private patients, but I want to highlight that even though we are NHS patients, we also pay for the service. The way you provide your service to the patients will surely damage your reputation.

Fantastic experience: Had my tooth out and had a scale and polish, the dentist was absolutely amazing, I was so nervous but she re assured me, told Me everything she was doing I had the most stubborn tooth to get out and took her well over closing time to get it out but she did it. Very caring towards patients, I cannot recommend enough, I'd give 10 stars if Google allowed me to. Thank you guys.

Negative experience: Came in for a deep clean that just took ten minutes which felt rushed by the dentist. Not happy with the service. Also, paid £46 for a 10 minute service which was not justified.

Negative experience: I have used this practice for 34 years but since Andrew Kimpton retired it has changed considerably. I feel NHS patients are treated as second class and sitting in the reception with the yeah but no but receptionists, is like an episode of little Britain. I waited outside as couldn't bear it anymore

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking customer service. Seems whenever you finally get an appointment after booking in months in advance. On the day of your appointment they cancel for you to rebook. This is now the 2nd time

Fantastic experience: Faisal Naeem is by far the best dentist I've had. He is straight to the point and factual whilst still being caring and empathetic. He removed one of my teeth today and I told him I was scared of the needle and he was consistently reassuring and explained every move. I really wish every healthcare worker was as dedicated and patient.

Negative experience: Abslutley disgusting service. Lets start woth my actual dental treatment where i had to stop the dentist twice because not enough anesthetic was used and i could still feel him trying to yank my tooth out! It was agony and thatcwas the furst of 2 teeth. I was told i would have to come back to complete my treatment. Before that appointment i became very unwell and had to cancel. When I cancelled tye receptionist neglected to tell me that cancelling would close down my course if treatment. Then they sent me a debt letter even though my treatment hadn't been completed. I was met with aggression after asking if the could make an exception as I was hospitalised. To be told all terms and conditions are written on the back of the debt letter funny how its nor written on your treatment plan?? I've now been told that my £40 debt is being sent to a debt collectors as ypu can guess I'm not goimg back there!

Fantastic experience: I had not visited the dentist for 20 years, yes 2004!! Nick, the dentist I saw, made me feel very comfortable and I am adamant that I will now keep up regular appointments. Just great.

Fantastic experience: Update: I have just had another very successful course of treatment from Dr Brij Dhody, I had another 2 gold crowns fitted on Tuesday, and once again it’s only 2 days on and they feel perfect!! Very comfortable, and no problems at all! This man is meticulous in his work, he keeps telling you exactly what he’s doing, says sorry in advance when he’s about to do something that he knows will hurt, I trust his advice and judgment and I highly recommend this Dentist! This was my original review I am a patient of Dr Brij Dhody, and a very happy one! I have been a patient for a while now, I had 2 gold crowns fitted today and I’m so happy with them! They feel so comfortable and as they were only fitted today I’m amazed, I thought it may take a while to get used to them, but not so, they are perfect! Thank you Dr Brij Dhody

Negative experience: Used to be a patient several years ago When I went for my scale and polish, the lady injected my mouth 15 times all round, I still felt everything and was in agony She said there was nothing she could do as I was obviously immune to the anesthetic I also rang up to get a different appointment and was told good luck with that and the phone was put down on me Wouldn't ever recommend

Positive experience: All staff waring masks I would have given 5 stars if they informed patients to ware face masks.

Negative experience: Very poor service, my appointment for a replacement filling has been cancelled twice, next appointment will be at the end of the August, 3rd time lucky hopefully. This would not have happened whilst Andrew Kimpton was running the practice.
