Negative experience: I am writing this review after someone else I knew has also a disappointing experience at Dental Design and I think it’s important to make people aware of the practices done here. I went to Dental Design in April 2025 for my 6 monthly NHS check up. At the appointment, the dentist decided there was one tooth after her visual check up of my teeth, she felt ‘looked like an issue’ and she decided to X-ray it individually. To my surprise, she said it needed a filling urgently within the next week. It felt very pushy. I booked in for a filling a few days later, but cancelled the appointment when I got home. In the meantime, I had my teeth checked with another private dentist in another practice. After receiving all my X-rays from Northwood Dental design, I sent these to my new dentist. I had to ask more than once to receive copies of my X-rays, (one which was sent to me wasn’t even named and dated and I had to ask multiple times for the details). Once I got these and forwarded on, my new dentist says there was NO NEED AT ALL FOR A FILLING!! I appreciate people in the medical field might have different opinions, but it is extremely concerning I was pushed towards a procedure that I didn’t need. Thankfully, I listened to my gut. I would advise people to proceed with caution with this practice.

Fantastic experience: Just had my teeth whitened by Dr Paras and Armin. I’m a super nervous patient but they were so calm and methodical it was fine. The results are better than I expected as well.

Fantastic experience: During my lifetime I have experienced the full spectrum of dentistry starting with the horror of drill and fill in the 1960s. At last, I have found a place of sanctuary, first with the inimitable Jeff and now with the truly remarkable Nila. Nila's attention to detail and accepting nothing less than absolute perfection is world class. Moreover, her incredible dental engineering skills are delivered with care and compassion. Finally, a shout out for Sue. She is an incredibly skilful hygienist and whilst my track record means it's an uphill struggle for anyone, Sue ensures that my teeth and gums are as close as you can possibly get to as good as new.

Negative experience: Yet another really appalling visit at Dental Design Studion. Even after several previous complaints they have not improved. Staff seem to lie so easily and even when confronted can't apologise. However, they do give more attention to private patients rather than NHS but that's because they prioritise sales over service. I sadly have experienced both sides at this practice and one star is too generous.

Fantastic experience: have lived with crooked teeth for 40+ years and despite Sue’s efforts to help my gums I was always struggling to keep my teeth in good nick. In no way a criticism of DDS, but my frequent visits to the hygienist were costing me a lot of money and I was stuck in a loop of having crooked hard to brush teeth and gums that seemed to enjoy snagging any smelly food to later embarrass me with bad breath. I had spoken to Sue and also the dentist about braces but the cost required were out of my price range and I also required jaw surgery to realign my top & bottom jaw as for some reason they had fallen out with each other! I was looking at around £24,000 of treatments at a time when I was struggling to stay on top of my hygienist payments, Sue and the DDS took this on board and though they couldn’t offer me ‘mates rates’ Sue was able to successfully refer me to the NHS. I don’t want to put DDS in a position where they’re held hostage to my admittedly unique experience but it was pretty amazing that a business that needs to make money to survive was able to do this for me and I suspect the reason is because ultimately Sue and the wider team genuinely care about their patients. I was referred to the Eastman University in London where I was offered free hygienist appointments, had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted, wore fixed braces for 2 years and my jaw is now in line. Aside from my travel into London this was all free. I should also mention that the team at Eastman had to present to the board on the merits of offering me all this and I also had to give a little recap on what had got me to this point in front of them but today as I write this I’m on a packed train and I no longer have the shame of keeping my mouth clamped shut from shame of people seeing me and judging me on my teeth. The day after my braces were off and my permanent retainers were fitted, the first thing I did was book a hygienist appointment at DDS, I’m pretty careful with money for sure but I knew that Sue would get a kick out of seeing me again and to pay DDS for the incredibly valuable NHS referral. One final thing to mention is that between me getting referred and actually being in front of someone at Eastman - it was about 18 months.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Razia today (Saturday). She was excellent. Really thorough and friendly. I would definitely recommend her, I think she would be especially good if you were nervous. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous dental patient, but I needed work doing. Dr Paras was fantastic. He was so kind, understanding and patient with me. And with no judgement for having left it too long between visits. He made a very anxious time much more bearable. I had a fair bit of work done, with only some discomfort afterwards. With an X-ray and repair of a tooth fracture I was given good advice and was put at ease and given advice to consider with options. Fantastic experience: Doctor Patel is the best dentist I've ever been to, and as I'm 50 now I've seen an awful lot! I had a very complicated tooth extraction here and was extremely nervous, but she (and all of the staff who assisted her) were amazing and incredibly kind. She repeatedly checked in to make sure I was feeling okay throughout the operation, and also did a brilliant job, and I really can't thank her enough.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for around 10 years for dentist and hygienist appointments. Paras (dentist) is super friendly and suggests ways to improve the look of your teeth which I’ve taken him up on and really happy with the results. Sue (hygienist) is also a fabulous lady and wonderful at her job. My daughter who’s 11 also sees both and enjoys visiting the dental studio as much as myself.

Fantastic experience: I'd been to see Sue Madhani for a hygiene treatment very many years ago at the Maida Vale branch in London W9. She did an incredible job on my teeth but she left the practice soon after. I went to see several other hygienists but none were as good as Sue. So I extensively searched for her online and to my surprise she still worked for the same dental practice but at a different branch. I have just returned from my appointment with her and I am extremely pleased with the results. My teeth are sparkling and the whitest they've been since I'd been to her last! She is very friendly and gentle and the session was very comfortable. I am so pleased to have found her again and recommend her highly. Thank you Sue, and see you again soon!

Fantastic experience: Update: she no longer works here (July 2024). I am so happy that I found Dr Neha Gokani, she's an absolutely amazing dentist. When I came to her in August 2017, I hadn't seen a dentist for 13 years because I was so traumatised by my childhood dentist. I didn't know how I would ever be able to trust someone to work in my mouth, but during that time I'd not taken proper care of my teeth and they'd fallen into disrepair. Neha put me at ease immediately with her friendly manner. Moreover, she didn't judge me for not looking after my teeth and ignoring them even as they crumbled. And although I needed a lot of work done, she didn't pressure me into booking any appointments, she just advised me that I needed to see the hygienist first. It's been 16 months now and I've had nearly every treatment which she can perform which includes extractions, fillings, a root canal, and implants. I've now got a healthy mouth with my full quota of teeth and I'm so happy with her work and her conduct. She's been friendly, open, and honest every step of the way. I trust her explicitly, and any issue that I've had - such as the size of an implant crown - she has rectified and impressed upon me that she's not happy until I'm happy. She's an absolute star. And quite frankly she needs to work into her 90s because I've got no idea what I'm going to do when she eventually retires!

Fantastic experience: My Mum had not seen a Dentist since Covid, and needed quite a lot of work. Dr. Nila Soneji was very patient and understanding, and explained what she was doing at every stage. She carried out the procedures over the course of a few weeks. My Mum has not stopped talking about Dr Soneji and the nurse, Alina, since. We would not hesitate in recommending them.

Surprisingly, I experienced no bad pain( a little and totally manageable) or discomfort during and after the treatment. It's been a week now, and my tooth functions perfectly. I had an old cap which needed to be changed and Dr Nila has done a fantastic job as she is a an absolute perfectionist and wouldn’t take a minute imperfection. She has a warm and calm nature which has made appointments run smoothly and quickly. We are always informed of what will happen during the appointment and also any after care needed. We have really appreciated the extra effort she has gone to, to refer our daughter to another orthodontic practice for a braces referral. In addition, we have been able to get a quick emergency appointment when, unfortunately, needed! Definitely highly recommend the practice!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for many years and me and my daughters were always looked after brilliantly by Dr Levin. Dr Roshan Patel is now our dentist and although I was nervous moving to a new dentist based on bad past experiences, I cannot recommend Dr Patel enough. Throughout my recent Invisalign treatment he has provide second to none care throughout. The hygienists there are fantastic too as are all the staff. I always stop and chat far too long! I’m updating this review as it won’t let me do a new one. Dr Patel has left and I’ve been seeing Dr Nila Soneji who is brilliant! Unhappy with a minute chip on my front tooth caused from my constant grinding, (which is so bad I grind through mouth guards), Nila performed a small but incredibly effective filling to give me a beautiful clean line again! I’m thrilled with the result and happy to smile with confidence again!

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient to Dental Design Studio and had a few problems which my previous Dentist did not pick up on a check up. I was seen by Dr Rovina Patel and she had immediately put my worries to rest. The treatments so far have been great and Dr Rovina was great at explaining everything to me. We even discussed the root of my problem which was evidenced by her very thorough check up. I can honestly see why the NHS dentistry is a failing system as when I compare my previous treatment and then my treatments with Dr Rovina. Highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I've had various issues with my teeth, but Doctor Nila Soneji and her nurse Alina have been absolutely great. I'd recommend them to anyone who is nervous about seeing a dentist, they are very gentle and patient.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of having my braces done by Dr Saba. It was an emotional journey as I also suffered with a bad bite and had developed a lump in my head due to the way my teeth were sitting. I researched a lot of orthodontists and came across Dr Saba and I am so pleased I did. After 15 months my teeth are all straight and my lump has disappeared. The whole process was painless and working with Dr Saba was a joy. She explained everything along the way and put me at ease. I would highly recommend to anyone. Fantastic experience: Went here due to reviews and was not disappointed, Dr K Kaylan was able to do my check up and follow up work and was super helpful, gentle and kind and really put me at ease when carrying out my treatment. I went back a week later to see Mrs Sue Madhani the hygienist and she was just as lovely, kind and gentle and really gave me some good advice! 10 out of 10 for service, care and quality. The receptionists are also really kind and polite and this practice makes you feel really welcomed. Keep up the work team and i'll see you again soon.
